✓ Great weather appThis is a great weather app. On iPhone it is immaculate. Apple Watch app comes with some great complications which even work with time travel! (Although it sometimes would grey out of time travel mode and require refreshing from opening the app- maybe a bug). The only downside is the Apple Watch app is pretty limited, you get a page for current weather and a page for current precipitation.. I think a few more pages added to this such as 5 day forecast for example would make this the complete all round weather app. Great job so far guys..Version: 11.2.1

✓ Awesome update to a great appI have been traveling the USA with my family of 5 in a pop-up camper for the past year or so. We are sensitive to weather changes as we try to follow it around trying not to be too hot or cold or wet or dry. For months after we left home, I tried numerous weather apps simultaneously, comparing them for accuracy and ease of use and features. Sometimes I would try to use one exclusively for a while to see how it fit my flow of searching for the next location with good weather. I found the accuweather app to fit the right balance between being simple enough to use without headache and powerful enough to find specific conditions in new location. So I have happily subscribed and been using this app for the past 7 months or so without much complaint. The new update was teased a few days ago and I’m super excited about all the new changes. Somehow it has become incrementally more intuitive and easy to use while I find myself accessing old features in new ways. Very happy with it all..Version: 14.0.1
✓ Should be 4 and a half!I have had accuweather on my phone for almost a year now and can honestly say that it’s very good, not perfect by any means but still very good. As the title says, “it should be 4 and a half stars” The only niggle for me is the advertising but that’s down to me being tight! Maybe in the new year I’ll pay to upgrade? Again it’s a very small thing but occasionally the radar view needs a bit of prompting to get it to work but that’s most likely a signal issue with my (old) phone. ✓ Accuracy is AmazingI use this app mainly as a long range forecaster of wind, cloud cover and rain. I fly light planes and my friends are amazed how I can pick good flying weather two and sometimes even three weeks in advance. ✓ Graphics could be betterI use this app for checking the forecast for the next few hours, and that forecast is generally very accurate and the interface easy to read. But for forecasts over the next few days or hours I find the graphics and interface underwhelming and hard to read. Some colour in the graphics would really help for "at a glance" weather information. The cloud/ rain/ sun icons on the day by day screen are very small and, without colour, difficult to differentiate....meaning I tend to revert to other apps for those forecasts..Version: 14.4.3
✓ Accurain-AccusunI only use it for UK weather and have done so for several years. It’s never been totally wrong but sometimes the hourly goes a bit awry but overall very good. I only use the free version which gives hourly predictions for a few days and your not interrupted with adverts getting in the way while your trying to research. I use it mostly on an iPhone but sometimes on a Mac. I’ve used it in many parts of the UK not just local to me and it is my default weather app..Version: 12.3
✓ Updated: CS was greatUPDATE: Customer Service was really great. The link to restore a purchase is definitely not intuitive. There is the tiniest, minuscule link for restoring purchases located at the very bottom of the pop up you get when you click on the Premium+ button. So, my no ads purchase from years ago has been restored. I still like the app… it seems to do as well tracking the weather as the other weather app I have, which is Weather Bug. So, I plan to keep using it… for now. —————- Several years ago, I paid for no ads. Because the app keeps locking up after the last update, I uninstalled and then reinstalled. Tried to find a “restore purchase” button, but there doesn’t appear to be one. Only thing I can see is the Premium button. I’m not paying a second time for no ads. Plus, after reading recent reviews, it seems I’m not the only one having serious issues with the app. It used to be great, but is now total garbage. ✓ Reliable and AccurateI use the minute cast to plan my outdoor learning activities. ( I am a teacher) I also like the way that this app allows you to get Warnings from National weather organisations. For example DWD in Germany and NHC information on tropical activity with the potential to be Northern Hemisphere significant low pressure systems. These sorts of data feeds make this a very powerful app. Ultimately, it is the reliability, friendly user interface and the apps ability to detect if you have moved location that make this the best in its field at present. My only suggestion would be to automatically translate the warning links from foreign language meteorological organisations if used when travelling..Version: 13.0.1

✓ Exactly what I was looking for and moreI was looking for a weather app that would not only provide ACCURATE weather throughout the day and week, but also provide an allergy forecast, since I have pretty severe allergies. This app has done both of those, and done them well. It also has a small section on the Sun and Moon, and tells you the moon phase for the night. That is extremely beneficial for me, and is a feature I did not expect to find. I just saw an ad pop up to get 10 extra days of forecasts if I sign in with my Facebook, so I’m assuming I’ll have to pay for this at some point? Can’t be sure, but even if I do, I’m going to keep the app and pay for it, because it’s wonderful. It’s extremely simple and easy to use, and nice to look at (light and dark themes are also a bonus). I used to have this app a long time ago because it used to give a migraine forecast as well, since I get migraines often (don’t see that anymore, but that’s totally fine since my migraines are often related to the weather and allergies, and the app provides forecasts for both of those), and completely forgot about it. So happy I found it again! I know it’s odd to be so excited about a weather app, but trust me, when you have horrible allergies, arthritis, asthma, eczema, and migraines (yeah and I’m only 24, can’t imagine how bad I’ll be when I’m in my 70s), an app like this actually helps a decent amount so you can prepare for things a little bit..Version: 11.3.2

✓ Accurate minutecast predictionThe minutecast rain prediction is very accurate for my area but the hourly rain probability is pretty off track. I guess it's hard to predict in England but the app doesn't even seem to update the probabilities throughout the day. It's raining outside, minutecast shows two hours of rain and the hourly forecast still insists on less than 20% probability of rain in the following hour. The default Apple weather app (it uses the weather channel data) is better in this respect - it’s raining and it bumps the rain probability to 90% or more. It would be nice to get rain notifications. It would also be nice if the Apple Watch app shows the hourly and day forecast, not just the minutecast prediction..Version: 14.2.1

✓ Just one little thingGreat app. Accurate and simple to use… except when you send out text notices with titles like Drenching Rains Coming. When I click on it it takes me to a page with a white banner on the left that allows me to do all sorts of things like upgrade the app, or review the app like I am doing here, now. The problem I have is that the only way I have found to close this page and get back to the regular app page with the forecast is to turn off my phone and turn it back on. I mean to say that there never is anything here on this page that has anything to do with the title you sent me. Oh, I can go to Channel 13’s website, but I don’t want to go to the website. There is a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and I want to look at the forecast. So, I am going to turn off my phone and turn it back on to get control of my phone back, again. Next time I am going to delete the app. I can get weather apps anywhere. I mean pick a TV channel. They all offer weather apps. (Or you could fix the page so a person can tell how to get off of it? ✓ New interface more long winded - more swipesJust updated version and although the new interface looks nice it does require more swipes to navigate from hour to hour on the detailed hourly page. Previously there were < and > in orange to tap and quickly move forward and backward in time by 1hr. New interface requires you to (1)swipe down to close the detail page (2)tap to select the next/previous hour and open up the detail page. So twice as long winded to scan through a days worth of detailed weather forecasts and much slower. What was wrong with < and > or implement a right and left swipe to change the hour very naturally. I could go on but you get my point. Also the old detail hourly page used a compact two column layout - now single column so you need to swipe up and down each time to see all the info. ✓ Great app ruined by stubborn adverts.I think this app is great and manages to predict the unpredictable 90% of the time, you can reliably plan your outdoor activities to it. It’s so good I find the fee to remove the adds worth it as this helps my experience and hopefully helps the running of the informative app. Sadly, I still find I have to ‘restore purchase’ almost every time I open the app. I don’t force close so would like to think my settings would be saved. Plenty of tinkering to do with the UI But at last thank goodness a reliable weather app. I love the radar option as an example I felt some wind and saw a dark horizon in an unusual quadrant of the sky checked on the app and it said rain in 12 minutes - packed up the gardening tools took the brolly down put the kettle on and was ch the rain start 9 minutes later . ✓ All the facts, easy to read and navigateI chose the AccuWeather App after I found out that my “farmer” sister showed how well it deciphers the ever changing Rocky Mountain weather. I like the feature that allows you to see about 120 minutes ahead if there’s snowfall coming and when there might be a chance to get out of the house and run an errand. It’s been pretty precise too. The sunrise/sunset and moon phases can also be found on the main screen. The main screen is well designed and further investigation of the site is easy to navigate through. It gives you a weekly forecast and if you choose to do so, you can get a 15 day forecast. I haven’t found the longer range forecast to be as accurate though. It might be unrealistic to give a 15 day forecast in our day and age. Even with all our science and gadgets it seems too “far-out” for any prediction. Short videos are available of weather related events. If you DON’T pay the approximately $4 a month, you can’t skip the commercials. They’re pretty short though - 15 seconds- which seems long when you’re waiting for the video. You can also sign up for weather alerts. I use AccuWeather’s site almost daily..Version: 13.0.5

✓ BEST WEATHER APPThis was a great app and has improved with the last update. I love the 2-hour rain forecast and the new layout is crisper and nicer with all information easily to hand. Definitely my weather app of choice. Updated as I still continue to use this always. Not keen on the new widget (hourly forecast) but the old widget still shows the (now) 4 hour forecast which is superb. For example, intuitively swiping left or right on certain pages doesn’t bring up the information or page you would expect and it becomes frustrating. But the commendable positives are that the information is engaging and the forecasting feels fairly accurate compared to other weather services. The infographics, especially the hourly precipitation graphic, are nicely executed. ✓ Would like more good thingsLove the app design and layout. Would like easier access to tide info (I can’t seem to find it at all) to help plan fishing trips. Also used to Barometric pressure in Hectopascal rather than Millibars yet I can’t change this unit in settings. ✓ Such an improvement !I wasn’t a big fan of using Accuweather, but did so with irritation. It is generally accurate on weather but found the navigation not intuitive, the layout illogical..just annoying...but now, what a difference ! This update is stunning! It's smooth to use, navigation has been ironed out, everything in its right and logical place and it looks really great. Haven't quite got used to the rain being shades of green in the radar (wouldn't blue have been better and made snow green? There must be more rain than snow in world weather?) and whilst I appreciate dust and dander is useful, I would love the addition of pollen count, for us hayfever sufferers. ✓ This is what I’ve been wanting from a weather app!I used DarkSky for, well, until they sold out to Apple. One of the main features I liked was the precipitation forecast. Not just the percentage, but how sever (basically, inches of snow expected). I also liked the hyper-local feature since where I live can vary within just a few miles. Of course, accuracy is important. I looked a every possible free app. You get what you pay for there. None had all the important features I was looking for. I decided to try AccuWeather app premium+ for a year. Immediately I love the ad-free look and feel. The winter cast is impressive. It’s what dark sky had but much better. And when I comes to Colorado driving, skiing, and outdoors activities, a good weather app is necessary. Thus far, I’m a huge fan! Edit: the app could use some help with the wind forecast. When I look at storms coming in, wind is a factor. Also, wind impacts the planning of activities. As it is, I had to go to another app to get what was offered in DarkSky. One of my favourite features is the interoperability with the Apple Watch - non of the other apps share data with the complications like this does. Initially the display for the app appears a little cluttered, but paying £3.99 to remove the adverts and switching off the news produces an easy to navigate interface that is a pleasure to use daily. ✓ Most accurate weather source!!!!I am super delighted and pleasantly shocked at how accurate accuweather is . I had installed it as I was going on my holiday out of England and I didn’t know what weather source to use and I stumbled on accuweather and after looking at its features that aren't blocked behind a ridiculously expensive membership I was really excited to see its accuracy. On one day it showed that it’ll rain however every other weather source said it won’t ( I checked with others to see its accuracy) and after some suspicion when the minute cast said it’ll start raining soon it did. I was amazed all other sources said no rain like 0% only this one knew and this happened multiple times. I love how one of the map functions is accucast which is where people report conditions and share it with others brilliant!!! In the future: I would love to see a radar for future predictions and I would not be shocked if this was to go with the platinum membership Also for the map please add a wind layover it’d would be super handy Finally please could you add for the radar a type of precipitation as in whether it’s an thunderstorm extra and with that lightning strikes.Version: 12.4

✓ Alert settings need worked onLove this app for the most part but I wish I could turn off some types of notifications. I like to know the weather alerts in more than just my area but I am constantly disturbed at any time of the night with one particular one that is not relevant to my interest. I do not need to know about every rip current I am alerted at least 3 times per week in the early hours of the morning about this particular event. I understand the importance to some. I would still like to know about important weather events because those do pertain to me and my family. However rip currents are not relevant to me or my family and I’m tired of getting woken up at 2am for them. I don’t want to silence notifications in case of an actual emergency situation. For all of the adds I sit though and the money made from paid customers you would hope some goes into improving the app. Allowing us to unselect certain types of events would make this app so much better..Version: 15.7.1

✓ I like the update, pity others don’t!Firstly, Accuweather is more consistently accurate than all the other apps I have used. So well done for that. I use this app on an ipad and the previous incarnation was confusing with too many boxes on the screen, which shifted as I scrolled, and one of which was advertising, which sometimes moved to be under my finger just as I tapped, making it even more annoying. This update is much simpler to read and I like the plain blue background for the day, and black for night. Much easier on the eye and brain! However, I do have a couple of niggles - natch! The initial screen now shows the ‘clock’ for precipitation in the next hour, but if, as has been the case here for days, we are in a summer heat wave, this screen is of no interest at all. So I agree with other reviewers, that being able to customise settings would be a very welcome feature. I find the hourly list more readable than the graph in the previous version, but it is not a great layout, needs to have the whole of the rest of the day at a glance, rather then having to scroll just to see later today. The amount of information displayed is a pretty good balance. - Suggestion: Please display current wind speed & direction on the Hourly summary page. (Currently it is necessary to go into the Hourly detail page to see this. ) The new widget is good too. - Suggestion: Please display wind information in the widget, there is plenty of space for it. (Currently wind info is visible only after expanding the widget. My suggestion is to display wind in the small widget.) ✓ Brilliant updateThis latest update of Accuweather has greatly improved the look and feel of the app. The interface is clean and minimalist in appearance but manages to beautifully capture all the relevant information on the one screen. I like having the 120min rain forecast ring presented with the current conditions together with the day’s forecast immediately below. The hourly, daily and monthly long range forecast views are nicely presented. The weather radar looks even better, providing, rain, satellite, cloud, or water vapor views. Or an enhanced view that is a combination of all of the above. The placement of the navigation buttons along the bottom of the screen makes navigation between the major functions intuitively easy. All together a brilliant update on an already impressive weather app. My appreciation to the developers. I highly recommend this app..Version: 14.0.1
✓ Accu weatherJust wanted to say that AccuWeather team have done an amazing job on this update, I’m a Tower Crane operator in Melbourne, so this is very informative and is extremely important to me that accuracy is paramount to give to my work colleagues first thing in the morning on our prestart. ✓ More accurate than the BOMLove this app!! It’s the only weather app you’ll ever need, and it’s completely free. You do have the option to buy the ad-free version, but the ads are non intrusive & barely noticeable. ✓ “Wow AccuWeather”My, my, am I pleasantly surprised today. I have been looking for years for an ACCURATE weather app that has animated weather conditions and finally by a chance view of an MSN sponsored ad (ads I never look at) I find AccuWeather. I’m amazed at the accuracy, appearance and ease of use of the app. It’s not overwhelming in its delivery and yet more detailed delivery is readily at your fingertips if you so choose. Can’t wait to see how accurate the rainy season of Southern California will be reported. To make this app beyond great please, please, pleeeeeeease give us the option to add weather sounds to go with your AccuWeather forecasted conditions even at a premium. A lot of us live in places where we miss the sounds of a windy day, or a rainy day, or a lightening stormy day, or the sound of ocean waves. Just imagine the comforting sounds for many people. I added other areas that have lots of weather change patterns to my AccuWeather app list just to see the different weather conditions.
