✓ DO NOT BUYI bought this program to make calls over internet but it does not work. it takes ages to login sometime it never does. on 3g it never logs you in. even when you are logged in, you dial a number it starts ringing in your ear but actually No ring in the other and I have tested this a lot of times. it says it works 3g but it does not at all. very slow and clumsy program. please DO NOT WASTE £3. I waited 6 months for the program to be updated and it has been updated BUT STILL DOES NOT WORK..Version: 0
✓ Can't be used with VonageI bought this application since I expected it – based on the description – to work with Vonage. Well, it requires the Vonage SIP password to work, however, Vonage does not give the SIP password to their customers. I contacted Vonage support and asked for it and they said that they don’t give it to their customers for security reasons. Don’t buy this app if you want to use it with Vonage. ✓ Outbound Audio ProblemI am connecting to my asterisk server. I can hear inbound audio, but the caller on the other end cannot hear me. I have several other SIP clients that do not exhibit this problem and I noticed another reviewer mentioned the same problem for version 1.4.3. I'll rerate once this is addressed..Version: 0

✓ Basic features work, clunky interface, keypad tones brokenThis is an easy to configure basic SIP phone. It is a little slow to answer calls at times. I am unable to use it with conference calls / internet banking or similar as the keypad tones do not work..Version: 0
✓ Does not work in background!I tested this app, it will ring only if the app is open and in the foreground. It will not notify you if it's in the background. I did change the push settings, but it did nothing. If you want a SIP client that works and will notify you even if it's in the background download Fring,they just updated the app to include this feature. ✓ TerribleCouldn't get anything to work it says connected then receives the invite and think I'm on a call but no sound is sent or received... ✓ VPN?This app works great on Wifi. It connected right up to my asterisk server. I did notice some bugs when typing the settings as I couldn't get rid of the letter menu after I was finished, but overall for a 1st version it is pretty good as a basic sip client. I could make and receive phone calls. The reason I am giving this a 3 rating is because I was hoping it work through the VPN. The other sip client (sipphone for iphone) which is more expensive does work with the built-in iphone Cisco Client, but it falls short with the L2TP/IPSEC VPN client. If you could get this app to work through the built-in VPN clients (both built-in Cisco and built-in L2TP/IPSEC), this app would rock and be exactly what I need..Version: 0
✓ Almost thereAs one of the few sip clients available I thought I would give it a go. Almost there, works on the LAN but won't work via VPN. My firewall logs are telling me this app is reporting the internal ip address rather than the VPN assigned address. Gutted, this is the exact reason I wanted it. Also still a little ugly. Would be better if they dropped the sip registration screen, and made the keypad look more like the official iPhone one. Looking forward to the next version..Version: 0
✓ The biggest waste of money app on the app storeI can't get this working with iiNet or Internode SIP services. Billion ASDL/VOIP works fine with both iiNet and Internode VOIP, and so does Acrobits Softphone on my iPhone 3GS, so its safe to assume I've got the right settings and the app is not worth it..Version: 0

✓ Not bad.Its hard for me to judge weather its my SIP provider or the prog thats causing me troubles but I seem to get a great deal of echo for my internal SIP and external SIP provider. I have to revert to my desk ip phone for my trix box at work most of the time which is a shame. I find it hit and miss..Version: 0
✓ AwfulIt originally took me quite a while to figure out how to configure this for Gizmo5 (I did a *lot* of Googling and experimenting). The connection is unreliable and many times the calls simply don't go through (even fring works more reliably once it has logged in). Sadly, the end user documentation is atrociously poor and the user interface is decidedly ugly. About the only positive is the superior audio quality over fring, but that's about it. Based on its overall reliability, there is no way I can recommend this dreadful app. Spend your money on something else..Version: 0

✓ Problems hearing call destinationI experienced intermittent issues on several networks with the recipient of a call hearing OK, but no audio coming back. ✓ Works well with my Sip account but no ios4 supportThis app works perfectly for me when I have it open the whole time but ios4 is not supported at time of writing. As soon as ios4 is supported And I can use the app without having to have it active all the time, then I shall up the rating to five stars. Still very good though. ✓ Why it is so uglyI always wonder why some developers completely destroy the usability and design aplication by ugly design - why do you not go with standard apple design rules, colors, fonts, settings in settings panel etc., if you would just simply copy the default apple phone app design, plus add SIP as (optional/prefered) way to call, everyone would thank you and buy this application. ✓ It works. But may not be the best out thereThere are better SIP/VOIP iPhone apps out there: Acrobits Softphone is my recommendation. This app works. The audio is OK. But it has an ugly user interface, and confusing and un-helpful settings. It only supports a single account. While capable, there just isn't anything compelling about this inelegant app. Pay the $3 more for a better one and be happy. ✓ Can't hear dialling and Bluetooth headset doesn't workMind you if the Bluetooth headset did work, sound quality would suffer because hardware limitations of iPhone mean that Bluetooth and WiFi don't play nicely together. I used Sipgate in the uk and couldn't hear any ring tone - not sure whose fault that is, but not had problems with Sipgate previously. Other than that, sound quality good and no discernible delay. ✓ Could be betterThe version of WeePhone 1.4.4 is SIP software that is carrier independent and is, thus, a stand alone SIP client. The issue is that even when you set up the correct values into the settings panel for the SIP provider, the software will sometimes refuse to register with the SIP service even when it previously worked. So, it continues to say 'Logged in: no'. This software desperately needs a login button to force registration to the phone system. Instead, when it gets into this non-registering mode, there is no way to force the software to try again. I have restarted the app as suggested and I I have even completely rebooted the Touch and it still refuses to connect. The software desperately needs a reset button to clear out the settings to start over. Whenever this non-register mode appears, there's no way to easily clear it out this condition and get the software to register with the SIP service..Version: 0
