✓ Not Enough Local News, Updates too SlowAs a resident of Riverside County for 43 years, I had often relied on the PE to provide up to date and local information. Today, the news is slow and for local coverage, virtually non-existent. Since the buy out by the parent company of the OC Register, I thought the PE would follow the lead of the Register, but not even close. The PE rarely covers breaking news and never anything local for my small city; Corona. If I want up to date info on breaking news, I just turn to the news sites as they have more information. The PE is a waste of time and money..Version: 4.14.8
✓ Old app is betterThe lack of choice to choose a specific city makes this app almost worthless. I can get local news but nothing on other cities. Time to go back to the drawing board..Version: 4.22.230026769
✓ Not worth it anymoreNo more local news via cities or regions as before. Only news within the last 24 hours. No searching for news. Not even close to the feel of reading their actual newspaper. Just a "P.E.-Lite" news source. Can just go to their website or other sources for better news. ✓ Works but has no local news information.App works great provides news article formthe inland empire area. They removed the local news by city and changed it to a useless collection of news centered around riverside, and temecula primarily. Not able to find any news about your own city unless it make national news level. I want my local news back..Version: 4.11.5

✓ Decent source of local newsI've always read this paper from a time when I was a child, and it's declined since I first began reading it. Of course, every other local paper has had the same issues the past five years or so, as most well read people should know. That being said, most of the breaking news stories are never updated, there isn't much detail in the briefs, and the app is slow to load at times. I also always catch typos in the stories, simple misspellings that could be detected by spellcheck. I'd love to give this app a better rating, but the newspaper behind it has gone downhill drastically in recent years. This should be subscriber based and should not be given away for free and thus improve the quality of the newspaper in its entirety by being able to hire more reporters and copy editors..Version: 4.14.8
