✓ Not worth it.Disappointed. For the money this should really be eng-nor and nor-eng. It's sold as a dictionary, not a phrase book so the omission is pretty fundamental. There are better apps out there for much less..Version: 3.01

Amazing detailed examples of the word in context but could use a word and/or pronunciation feature and a basic translator from Norwegian-English (would not need to be as indepth as the English-Norwegian).Version: 0

✓ Good content, but graphics not up to dateWhen I purchase an app, I have an expectation that if it does not meet up to ios7 design standards, it at least visually looks nice on all iOS devices. ✓ Only half a dictionaryThis app only lets you look up the Norwegian equivalent of an English word. It doesn't let you look up what a Norwegian word means in English - like you can with the paper version of the dictionary - which is what I imagine most users want. Too expensive for the least useful half of a potentially amazing product. Get your act together Collins, you have a reputation to maintain!.Version: 0
✓ Not for English Speaking NativesThis dictionary is only really useful for native norwegian speakers, and with no prior warning that you cannot search through Norwegian words, I have to say I was quite annoyed when I first bought this. I have a couple of other dictionaries from the same people and they're pretty ok, normal working billingual dictionaries; however this one is not. It get's 2 stars from me because it quite literally does a "half-decent" job, but for £5.99, it should at the very least allow me to search for Norwegian words... After all, it is advertised as a "Norwegian" dictionary....Version: 0

Even when i guessed the english to see if i was right about what a norwegian ingredient was in my bread, the word choices were limited. “Oats” but no “oatflour”—how do i know they don’t use a different word for that? ✓ No reverse search!NOT WORTH IT! Again - same as other reviews. Over priced. No reverse search of Norwegian to English so I can't look up what a Norwegian word means. What's the use of I can only look up words I know in English when I am hearing/reading Norwegian words I don't know every day. I wish I had read the previous review before buying this. The games are ok but also not reversible. It would be good to have flash cards in Norsk so that I could see if I know what they mean in English. ✓ Thoroughly annoyingThis is only a one way dictionary - so of rather limited us. Worse, it constantly demands that you rate the app 5-stars. It seems to be impossible to turn this ridiculous nagging off. A disgrace to Collins that their well-regarded name is associated with these shonky implementations (this is, however, better than their "collins gem" dictionary which is missing even very basic words. ✓ RubbishI've sent these clowns countless emails and no response. The thing does NOT work on os 4. it crashes instantly. When it did work in os 3 it was annoying as you could not scroll through your saved words - instead you had to go back to the dictionary, go back to your saved words and then scroll all the way down again to previous word you were revising before finding your next word. Get off your greedy lazy backsides and update this thing so it works or give me my money back..Version: 0
✓ Collins Half-A-Dictionary (Halv Ordbok)If you read Collins' description, they do say only English to Norwegian but at 6 quid and from a (supposedly) reputable firm you'd expect a dictionary that translates both ways. Can't even find the Norsk -> English to buy from them, which is strange, unless, hang on - they're still developing as an App and they thought they'd start flogging the first half immediately? At least I know how to say halv ordbok now..Version: 0
