✓ Excellent from English to NorwegianThis is a very good dictionary, with a useful amount of detail and range of examples. One frustration is that the naming is very literal: it is English-Norwegian, but not Norwegian-English. ✓ Great book in an app; missing Norwegian to English***Bear in mind that this app lacks a Norwegian to English dictionary.*** Even if they're not willing to include one with the app, I'd be quite happy to pay another $5 for a simpler standalone app. If it seems a bit pricy, don't be turned off. This app is the digital version of a complete hard copy dictionary, with the added benefit of fitting in your pocket and being searchable. (This ostensibly has 54,000 references; my trusty 500-page Collins French-English dictionary, likewise $10, has 65,000.) The screenshots above are typical of common word definitions; many meanings and phrases are included alongside simple translations, which is where the real dictionaries really stand apart from the imitators..Inspector FinchVersion: 3.01

✓ Please note: this is NOT a Norwegian-English dictionary....it is an English-Norwegian Dictionary and as such is very good. It is primarily designed for Norwegians learning English, complete with games to play guessing English words. It is of limited use to someone just beginning to learn Norwegian as there is no Norwegian-English section and so you cannot easily look up the meaning of Norwegian words. More advanced learners will no doubt find the countless examples of correct word use helpful..GingerJ4Version: 5.0.19

✓ Excellent but only half a dictionaryBrilliant as far as it goes and created by people who understand the business of bilingual dictionaries. The five stars is for the quality of the product as it stands but it is only half a dictionary. Word of the day, bookmarks and random word and smart searches all really good too, but why no Norwegian/English dictonary in the same app. In an ideal world I would like to read Aftenposten and look up the words I don't understand; with this app, it becomes a guessing game. I imagine Collins were aiming at native Norwegian speakers and thought they would half the work. A real shame. Come on, give us the much needed second volume of this dictionary!.ChekovsgunVersion: 0
