✓ An essential tool for writersI have the print version of Roget's Thesaurus, and it takes up a fair amount of real estate on my desk. Looking up a word takes time and I find myself singing the "a-b-c" song in my head while scrolling through the alphabetized list. Finally, Roget's has come out with a digital version of their thesaurus. Compared to other thesaurus apps, the Roget's Thesaurus is more comprehensive and thorough in terms of definitions and synonyms. Whereas the other apps would simply give you a handful of synonyms, Roget's gives you a plethora of choices from either the original word or a variation thereof, as well as provide you the ability to research the definition of each synonym. On the downside, it utilizes american spelling, and a tutorial on how to navigate would be helpful..Version: 4.0

✓ ExcellentWell designed and easy to use interface with good response. The thesaurus itself is Roget's II and consequently is high quality. Initially I had problems with it linking to Enfour's Australian Oxford Dictionary application. However, Enfour were very quick to respond in addressing the issue (which is now fixed). So 5 stars for the application and another 5 stars for after sales service..Version: 0

✓ Not very usefulI'm a writer who spends quite a bit of writing time outside, so I was very anxious to find a thesaurus for my Touch. At 9.99 I thought this one would fill my needs. And... not so much. It's really rather sparce, not many alternatives. Maybe I've just gotten to spoiled by Visual Thesaurus on my home computer, but this one just isn't worth it. ✓ Good referenceThis app has a nice interface to help you quickly find and display the information you're looking for without requiring an internet connection. There is a scrolling bug that needs fixed. If you type 2 or 3 letters (e.g. "aba"), all the words beginning with aba are supposed to be displayed. However, some are hidden beneath the virtual keyboard and you cannot scroll down to them..Version: 0

✓ Update earns 3 more starsThe update of Jan 09 addresses many of the shortcomings that originally lead me to give this app one star. It's now much more useful for browsing: one can click on words in a synonym list or just bounce around categories. The price is now $3 less than what I paid for it, which should help their sales, and convinced me to move up to 4 stars. ✓ Promises, promises ...I just bought this app mainly because this company promised that since I already owned American Heritage Dictionary 4 (AHD4), I would have "the same functionality" as if I had instead bought the new Deluxe AHD4 which combines AHD4 & Roget II. Unfortunately, I do not have the same functionality with the seperate apps. Similar? Yes. The same? No! Just tired of products being misrepresented..Version: 0

✓ This is the companion to one of the most useful apps in the App Store.I did a ton (6 hours) of research before buying AHD4 Dictionary. I wanted something was going to server me for the long run. With this apps regular updates (always making it better) and sound clips for every word it has proven to be one of my most used apps. This companion Thesaurus was the logical choice as it integrates with the American Heritage Dictionary Fourth Edition. If you want an excellent Thesaurus to compliment your AHD4 this app is your option..Version: 0
