✓ Not a great UITis app was okay as far as content was concerned. The UI is pretty ordinary for an app of over $7. The font is really bad and it is not customizable. Anything over $2 is too much for this app, especially considering that there is actually a free book version..Version: 3.9.5
✓ Weak thesaurusWhat a disappointment. I love my old Roget's but this is so weak in the number of synonyms and its organization that it is useless as far as I am concerned. I found a much better app here: Oxford American Writer's Thesaurus. That will do until someone comes out with a Roget's thesaurus that is worthy of the name..Version: 0

✓ American english onlyGood content, comprehensive, but why search only on American english? Entering "colour" gets me a dictionary entry to remind me that the "correct" spelling is color. Entering "color" in search gets all of the references held. Really. I would expect either spelling to work equally and am disappointed that only the US spelling provides expected functionality. ✓ Very disappointedAt home I have an actual copy of Roget's Thesaurus and I love it. Naturally, I wanted to have a digital copy I could take with me anywhere. Indispensable for a writer. ✓ Poor thesaurusI've been a writer for 25 years, poetry, fiction, etc. This is a real poor thesaurus. Waste of money. The Oxford Writer's Thesaurus is better, but I've seen no really great thesaurus for iPhone. I'd like to see the complete Synonym Finder as an app. THAT'S a great thesaurus. ✓ DisappointingFor every entry there is a huge list if synonyms relating to almost every possible meaning of the word. You have to wade through this huge list to find what you're looking for. ✓ Not terribly extensiveI have used an old Roget's paperback for years. But it's 30 years old and falling apart, so I thought I would go the electronic route to save my eyes. It is nothing like as comprehensive or as subtle as the original style and doesn't cover anywhere near as many concepts or relationships beween words or categories. Like others said, many entries are simply missing, e.g. there is no entry for words like 'landmark' or 'successful'. ✓ Needs to be integrated better with dictionaryThis is a good thesaurus, but linking to the dictionary exits the app and launched the dictionary (takes time and is a bit clumsy). It would be much better if the two apps were seemlessly integrated. Also, the link is accomplished by selecting the heading word- hardly obvious. ✓ Odd layout and skimpy entries, but perfectly functionalI could sure do without the gigantic roman numeral II on the word list, search, and bookmark pages. The main entry for each word is spared that indignity, but weighted down with five lines of junky credit and copyright text at the bottom of each page. The product seems thinner than the eReader version of Roget's. For example, the entry for "able" gives a measly 5 synonyms; the eReader version goes on for three pages. This app features live links for cross-references, and a "concepts" section that categorizes words in a way that could spark ideas. These are nice touches, and the app seems stable and responsive..Version: 0
