✓ Hopeless!! Don't buy....Since last update, it does not work. I emailed customer care, there is no response. I had to buy another chm reader. It says it is compatible with iOS 6, but that is a lie....Version: 3.1.6

✓ Crashes with new updateUsed to work wonderfully. Latest few updates made it unusable as it crashes now all the time. Freezes as soon as certain files are loaded. Files that opened with no problem in the previous versions. Please fix.Version: 4.0.4

✓ OddOverall it's OK. However, I have random problems concerning opening chm files. Most times I just get the first page of each chapter without the ability to scroll down. Reloading the files does not help. Other times I cannot get any pictures. I am in the process of converting chm files to PDF so that I do not have to use this program. ✓ Unable to get this to workI'm unable to get this to work on my iphone. On load it skips immediately to a blank 'image' page from which i cannot navigate away. ✓ Horrible!This is the worst chm reader you can buy. If I could get a refund I would. I normally don't write reviews but today while in class I wanted to read a chapter and not only did it freeze, and crash but it took a year and a day to open the book! I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy, even they deserve better.Version: 4.0.4
✓ Drastic drop in performance since NeueHave always relied on the original chmate for all my e textbooks, until things took a turn for the worst after it's gone neue. Front page takes forever to load. Some of my chms which used to work with chmate now doesn't work with neue. Please revert to the original version! It was already perfect! But, changing the entire interface has made its compatibility worse!.Version: 4.0.4

✓ Horrible updateBefore "neue" update, was easily best chm app... After, it lost all benefits and function. I used it for all my books, now pretty much useless Some good changes but it's only for looks, now can organize chm files into folders, and I think the highlight editing was changed although I don't use any of that. Problems include: 1. collapse all no longer allows certain chapters to be expanded, it's now all or nothing 2. Section change at bottom instead of side where it was easily usable to go to next chapter, now have to hit tiny button on bottom 3. Takes much longer to load the start screen and doesn't open where left off, makes it hard to use for books and switch apps then go back, have to refind where you were. Please bring the old version back!!!!!!!!!.Version: 4.0.3

✓ AlrightA good example of when the price of the paid version is not even remotely worth it over the lite. Highlights still dissapear, files are still displayed incorrectly and app will still crash frequently enough to be annoying. 3 stars for my time spent with lite; however i cannot recommend 6 dollars for the paid version..Version: 3.1.2
✓ Freezes nonstopThis app worked great for the first few minutes. Now every time I try to highlight, it freezes. I have to force close the app, and it deletes what I highlighted. Why on earth did I waste money on this? If you're able to get a PDF version of what you need to read, the FREE version of PDFnotes works fantastically. I haven't had any problems with it and wish I could open this chm file on their app!.Version: 3.1.2
✓ Not working after upgrading to latest versionThis is a great software, I have been using it for the last 4 months without any trouble, I upgraded it this morning and when I started opening up my book, it stuck at the loading screen with the loading icon, no matter what I tried, it is always stuck there, making this app unusable right now. ✓ Good appI like this app in that I am able to read the .chm books I have, however some of the functionality needs work. The buttons on the top that are supposed to allow you to bookmark pages etc, are hidden beneath the page and not accessible. With some clean up of function I would give it a higher rating..Version: 6.8.7

✓ Good page margin but crashesI like the idea of a page margin, but please make it so that the margin 'stays' permanent on the screen because when it is 'hidden', the width of the page changes and when u click on the screen again, the margin pops up again and again this changes the width as well. So the formatting keeps changing Lastly, you CANT ENABLE text formatting. When I tried, it just crashes. Pls fix this, I never had this trouble in the past..Version: 3.1.4

✓ Update itEdit. Please update for iPhone 5. The screen is larger. Take advantage of it. great app for those who have books or files stored as chm files. simple as that. students will especially find this app useful because of the ease of highlight. i still feel that highlight can be improved for efficiency currently: select text, tap highlight, annotation box pops up, to continue reading and exit the box, you must click the tiny close button. I think it would be better if when the annotation box pops up, you can close the box with one tap anywhere outside the box. as other reviewers mentioned, searching is limited to the page OR have a settings menu in which you can customize how you want to interact with the app. its minor things, but not enough to detract from a 5 star rating regardless of minor nuances that can always be added in future versions, this is a great app. this also gets 5 stars because the developer puts out a full function "lite" version (only limitation is 1 book at a time). That is completely reasonable. I bought the full version because I have about 20 or so files..Version: 3.1.5
✓ Great CHM reader but..Really great CHM reader, however the ability to search the text (not headings or bookmarks) is crucial. I wouldn't care if it took a while to perform the search because of file size...I just need to be able to search the text!.Version: 3.1.2
✓ Not Quite ImpressiveAdding .chm files don't quite easy like in the previous version. iTune File sharing does't work, the files don't appear in CHMMate. The web adding can work just few times and then stop working..Version: 4.1.2
✓ Won't open books!!!Overall it's a nice improvement over previous version with the implement of whole document search. However, in the new version, the content menu can only be expanded for the entire book, not chapter by chapter. This can be very irritating when looking for a sub-chapter in a big document with many layers of headings, as we need to scroll through the entire list. If this can be fixed this will be a perfect app for chm books. Update: menu issue now fixed. However, a lot of books which used to run perfectly now cannot be opened in the new version!!! ✓ Limited by illustrationsReader function works well, handles the text formatting well. Easy to import books etc. The big let down with this app is its handling of figures. Only the first 20 or so in a section display. There are then a few replaced with blue crosses that you can click on and get a pop up of the figure and the rest of them are blank and the image can not be viewed. I use the app for carrying around surgical and anatomy reference texts, the above makes the app pretty useless. I put in a support request and was advised it is due to the iPads memory limitation. This does not explain why the rest of the images are not available as pop ups or suggest a future fix such as making all images pop up to preserve memory or a method for subdividing sections on import to address this. Given the price, these issues should have been addressed by now..Version: 0

✓ Very limiting!This app does not support PDF (which CHM+ does). It does not allow u to organise files into folders. U cannot rename files. It switches off the iphone or ipad half way through transferring large files from the pc (you have to keep manually pressing the screen to make sure the iPhone or iPad doesn't sleep). Also, you can only upload one file at a time from the computer. These are limits discovered on the first day. Developer - Please fix them!.Version: 3.1.5
✓ Reading option crashed with iOS 5After I updated it it crashes everytime I enable extra text formatting. I couldnt read in night mode or change fonts anymore. Need a fix ASAP. Another thing is the 'find text' quickly disappear after more than 2x use for the same time. I need to restart the chm before being able to use the find text one more time. Other than this is fine and deserve 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟but need a fix first, please!.Version: 3.1.4
