✓ Works well for meI find this app to be really easy to use, and I don't think the search function is as bad as a lot of others have mentioned in their reviews. I didn't like it at first but the more I've used it, the easier it got. There's a place in the app info that tells you how best to search and that helps. I like how a lot of the referenced FARs within each section are hyperlinked so you can go back and forth. A friend has a different app, which doesn't offer that. Also the font size is easy to read (much easier than the paper version!). Bookmarks work well and history is handy too. Mostly, I like not carrying around that huge text!!.Version: 1.98.2
✓ Very useful toolLawStack’s subscription to the FAR/AIM has proven to be a very useful tool in my everyday work. They keep me up-to-date on all regulation changes as they occur! It’s so much easier to carry around these FARs in a digital and SEARCHABLE format. No more lugging that big book around all the time. Thanks LawStack! ✓ Great reference!Very useful on my iPad before planning a flight. I had a doubt about whether a regulation regarding night recency pertained to ALL pilots in command carrying passengers, or only to commercial pilots. I found my answer within seconds and proceeded to do the right, safe, thing. When you have the reg right there in front of you at any time it makes you safer and more professional. It's a hell of a lot easier to haul around than the paper version. Easier and cheaper to keep updated, too. A must have for pilots of ANY experience level. Just get it right now!.Version: 1.99
✓ Great for cockpitThis app is useful when you need to get info during flight planning and while flying when a hard copy is not available. Much better than any other apps. One other advantage over the hard copy from ASA is that you can retrieve any part - including 121 and others not printed on the hard copy. Only gripe is the "search" section. ✓ Thorough searches and great tech supportWeather flying personal or business use this app is a must have. Allows you to have the most updated version of the FAR/AIM while being able to search for keywords that make for the best targeted search for your needs. ✓ Be nice to have markers like tabsOverall the search works well and its not terrible to locate information partially because I have always had a tabbed out hard copy version handy. Distractor is unable to read content even without subscription glad I have my hard copy does not require batteries or need a subscription. Sadly its always good to have an updated copy just in case. Easy to find regulations and information in the search bar with several results to select from. ✓ Great Reference for EngineersAs an engineer involved in the design and integration of aircraft avionics at the system level, this app is a great resource. All the revelant parts of the FAR are here: Part 23, Part 25, Part 135, etc. What would make this app over the top (5 stars) would be if it linked to the revelant AC in each Part of the FAR. I would pay $20 for an app that links from the FAR to relevant AC, NPRM, Notices, and MOPS. If the preceding could be achieved, linking to relevant EASA docs would be a great paid upgrade..Version: 0

✓ Very usefuThis is very handy. It replaces several pounds of paper volumes. It would be better of the page turning function was up to par. You can only go to the next or previous page by using left or right arrows. And those arrow disappear when you scroll down the page. So, the only way to turn the page is to start scrolling back up until the arrows appear. The arrows should remain visible and/or become visible with a finger tap. And you should be able to finger swipe to flip pages..Version: 1.94

✓ Useful referenceGenerally this is a good reference for the CFR's. The search function seems to be the weakest part; it's a literal-minded search engine, so it works much better when standard FAA terms are used. It doesn't do well searching based on contractions or non-standard words. In general, I use this app frequently and find it fast and easy to use. The only thing I'd wish for is the option to clear the search history, so I wouldn't have to keep looking at my typing mistakes..Version: 1.98.2

✓ Good app and great support.Like the two previous reviews, I was surprised when they started charging for the subscription, but $9.99 is a lot cheaper and convenient than having to buy the far/aim every year. With that said, recently I had to email support because my subscription only appeared valid in one of my three devices. Those guys emailed me back almost immediately, something I have not experience with any other iPad app. Although it took 24 hours to fix the issue, they were in touch with me until the issue was fixed. Not even Microsoft support does that. In any case, I used this app in my recent biannual review, and it was easy to keep up with the instructor. He was using the book. ✓ It's all there, except the ease of useWith an App you expect easy navigation. When I type in key words, I expect them to be found, not obscurely sorted with 200 possible solutions. Student pilots, as well as tenured know that the FAR is difficult enough to interpret, without the difficulty of finding what you're looking for. That being said, this is the only FAR app I would use, and do nearly every day. A very useful resource after learning to navigate it..Version: 1.98.2
