✓ Thank you Logsat this is great.We travel to different places and have separate interests, some one is always lost and not admitting where they are so this is Just what I was looking for, no more "I am here when you're not there", now I can say hold on I know where you are, or my family or friends can do like wise. ✓ Initially frustrated but love it nowWhen I first downloaded app I thought that I had been ripped off like several of the reviewers who said that they never got a verification email. However, I believe that there is some type of server issue that delays the verification process for some period of time. I properly configured my two phones and was tremendously frustrated when I continuously received an error message on both phones. I fired off an email to support and went to bed. I tried again to verify my email on both phones the next morning and it worked just fine. If you're experiencing the same set up problem, you might want to wait a couple of hours and try again. There does seem to be some glitch. Also, contrary to some of the other reviewers, I found that the support help was not only prompt but also very thorough and interested in resolving my problem (although it turned out that I didn't need the help after all. I just used the app at a sporting event and found that the tracking was surprisingly accurate. If the app could be configured so that the phone you are tracking did not have to respond to your ping, I would give it 5 stars..Version: 0
✓ Family TrackerI'm giving this app a "5" because when I emailed the author of the app, he was responsive and did what he said he was going to do when he upgraded the app. The app works just as it is described. I use this app from time to time when i need to get a hold of my wife, or a friend and I need to connect but don't know where we are compared to our current locations. The app integrates nicely with Google Maps, and is not overly complicated in terms of functionality. If you want a tracking app that does what it says it does, this is your app..Version: 0
✓ Just what we needed!As the title says, this is *exactly* the app we were looking for! And it works great. Confusing at first on how to "pair" the phones, but after a quick email from their support (and I mean quick...! got a reply back in less than an hour) I got everything figured out and this is all way cool!!.Version: 3.3.4
✓ Love new updateLove the new update!!!! Now I can see where my husband is at with out calling him as his work takes him all over the place and he can't alway call me if he is working or on the phone with a customer and if he's at home he can just go in to settings in the app and hit the LITTLE ( button like thing ) in the right hand corner where it has a picture of the battery and turn it off to save his battery on his phone and if he forgets to turn it on I just ping him and it starts tracking him again or he can go back into the app and turn it off to save his battery if needed . Love this when he is out on a bike ride as he CAN NOT PING me back as long as it's still moving I know he's ok!!!! Thanks for the new update!!!!.Version: 0
✓ Works greatThis works fine between my wife's iPhone and my own, but what make it special is the built-in ability to send a link to someone who doesn't have the app (or even an iPhone) so they can see where you are. GPS apps in general chew up battery life but this app has some configuration options to help with that problem. I've had this app for about 8 months and it's been great so far..Version: 2.4

✓ Very good appThis app is MUCH better than the ratings suggest. There were problems with the app, but it has been fixed and this current version works like a charm. As explained, emails get put in the spam folder, so this is a problem with many people with gmail accounts, and previously, the positions are not updated properly, and very inaccurate. its MUCH better now, and since it runs automatically and without user intervention, i think its a great app, and those tracking the iphone doesn't need an iphone, all you need is access to the internet... and the support is quick and responsive..Version: 0

✓ Fantastic with iOS4, ok without2 important points: iOS4 enables it to be left on, working in background, making it far more useful than a single point in time ping & response. And the new setting to 'driving only' now means it won't kill your battery too much. Defo worth the money if you are in a crew or family happy to make it easy for others to keep in touch. Can be used as free SMS between app holders, with location as a bolt on. Yes it does seem that gmail doesn't like their activation emails, but the developer will help responsively by email. Of course each devices location (when app is on) is necessarily being matched to your chosen email address on their database if u r paranoid - but they don't have your identity or phone number unlike the mobile operators or MI5. And there is a very small button at bottom of settings page to turn it off. Go for it..Version: 0
✓ 5, however.......Amazing little toy this is! does exactly what it says. whats annoying is that the fact that you cannot ignore it once someone pings you! there is no way to make your phone stop vibrating! basically you have no choice but to give your location away othereise it wont shut up! me and my housemate agreed on not using it whilst at work! its defo worth a try tho.Version: 0

✓ ExcellentThis app works great! The support is even better. I emailed a few questions to the developer on a Sunday morning and got a very thorough response less than an hour later. This app is already 100x better than AT&T's familymap service and only getting better with the frequent feature updates that are being released. It's great that it keeps working even if the phone is rebooted. I have not noticed any increase in battery drain with the setting on "Driving Only" mode. It works exactly as advertised. ✓ Seems to work as advertisedI installed this app for me and my wife last night. After 6 attempts to get our activation emails, I was beginning to doubt this app. Despite following the instructions to a 'T', still no luck. I emailed their customer service (around 11 pm EST) and was shocked to get a response within 30 minutes! Long story short, if you're using MS Outlook as an email client, you have to add Family Tracker's corporate email to your safe sender list in Outlook AND on your email provider's website. For me, I had to manually log into gmail and check SPAM folder for my activation email. Now knowing this, I would have gone info gmail first and just added to safe sender list there. Other than that, app works great between my wife's phone and mine. I'm waiting to see how battery life lasts though, so I don't have enough data to share yet..Version: 0

✓ Great StuffMy wife and i are heading for a holiday and she has no idea up IS so i thought this app would be a great solution, i had some initial issues getting this setup which was problems at my end due to one device being Jailbroken, but their support team was very informative and helpful and i get it all up and running with their help and support. ✓ Love the appYears ago there were some problems with the app running on iOS7.0, but the developers had informed us that iOS 7.0 itself had a bug, and that even Apple’s Find My Friends app was not working right. Since we upgraded to newer iOS the app works great, I can track my boyfriend when he’s riding his bike across the state, and I always know where he is. I love the app..Version: 3.5.2

✓ Works well for meI dont know why this app has so many bad reviews, it has always worked well for me. The positions are sometimes late; ie @ 4pm I will check location and it will only tell me where he was at 2pm. I then ping for the update, but if the other person chooses not to allow, it will nit update position. The 5.0 upgrade is excellent, but still seems to have this problem..Version: 3.0.1

✓ So far so goodThe app works good for me. At first I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let me connect which I emailed and they helped me out and now it works perfectly fine. The only problem is sometimes it might not report a new location which i think the person has to use there phone before it will actually reload the location. ✓ Battery UsageI love the app, I love the concept, but even using "Driving Only" mode, the battery is drained pretty quickly. I see the little GPS indicator, "on" all the time, even with this mode enabled. I spent $8.00, because I bought it for my iphone and my wifes.... we had to unistall on both phones, because the battery drain.. :( Might re-install, someday, if they can work out the battery usage issue. That's the only reason, I can't give this app, 5 stars. I know if you look around, the GPS eats the battery like no other, but I had thought based on the description of the "Driving Only" mode, that would be the time when the GPS is updated... But both phones sat in the house over night, with the GPS indicator on, constantly..... I realize, you can hit the tiny power button to turn off the GPS, but isnt the whole idea, to be able to locate someone ?? Or, at this point does it only do a quick update that I'm not catching ? We have a great relationship and don't need to "track" each other and the reason to have it is for safety, but here's the shortcomings of the app and maybe this can be an option down the road,,,,,,,,,What happens if my wife is unable to answer to my ping to her phone due to maybe being involved in an accident or other circumstances beyond her control where she is unable to access her phone??? Really nice to take on road trips (when more then one car in your group is on the road), large theme parks, the beach, and so on. I don't know why anyone would complain, as it was easy to set up and worked exactly as the developers said it would...! I set up my husband and my iphones & ipads and it works a dream...!! The ping notice is extremely fast and reliable. The support has been great so far, I asked for a link and immediately received it the very next day. ✓ SolidI find this app works as advertised - my wife and I both have it installed so we can see where we are during the day, especially useful if the person is in a location where they can't answer the phone or perhaps can't hear it ringing (bottom of a purse for example). Driving Mode works well keeping the battery usage under control although I would like it to do a little more transmitting once it knows a tower has changed so that the final "accurate" fix is more reliable - when my wife is coming home it often tells me she has stopped a half mile away hours after she has walked through the door. Perhaps it needs to offer a "hybrid mode" to provide accurate GPS fixes for longer after a tower change to have a better chance of pinpointing the final destination before powering down the GPS? If this comes at a few % battery usage a day I think it's worth it. Also an option to ask the GPS to switch on and report accurately ("on demand") would be nice through a notification that doesn't require user acknowledgment, or failing that a user controlled option to decide how often the GPS transmits accurately between tower changes in Driving Mode would be a good tradeoff of precision vs battery usage. I imagine once an hour wouldn't be too costly? Why not let the customer decide on the right balance for them? Anyway, 4 star app today, hopefully 5 stars after next update - keep up the good work!.Version: 0

Should allow the user to ping the other person discrietly thus saving the other person battery and giving the user up to the second location. ✓ Way cool!The "annoying siren" is the piece I love here :-) Now if you could just repeat the alert every minute until my son accepts the notification it will be perfect...! --Update - I wrote this review a few months ago, and now I just noticed that the authors actually listened (I had emailed them with the request as well) and this new version does indeed repeat the alert until it is accepted (my son does not have multitasking, so we still have to use the old pings).
