✓ The criticThe app is responsive, accurate and pleasantly presented but the lack of information about the worlds countries, terrains, city's and oceans make it a very boring app and is nothing more than a virtual map, not a travel tool, and can freeze rarely, free download - cant complain! ✓ Disappointing 3 – BonnYes, I am also an Aussie, but is it too much to ask for the detailed map to show Bonn, capital of former West Germany & capital of reunited Germany until 1999. To this day it is designated a Federal City because a substantial part of the Federal Government apparatus of Germany is located there. I down you other people contributing to this valuable franchise a star because these maps have been around forever, in a number of different apps, all of which cost money. Yet the maps could be so much better and have never been reworked. I am also atoning for any previous 5 star ratings I may have given in the past (for the concept). Bonn was also the birthplace of a certain Ludvig van Beethoven 250 years ago. This may be news to the Arts Editor of (cough, sorry it's the bushfire smoke) one of Australia's leading newspapers who believes Beethoven was Austrian. Interest in the distance between Bonn and Vienna led me here today. It's even further than I had thought! :-).Version: 3.9

✓ It's okay, not great!You can see 3 different map views if you click on the top right. But that's it! There are no other features really! If you zoom by pinching, the picture becomes blurry! Could benefit with the ability to see a particular area in more detail. It's okay for reference, but the writing is extremely small, when it's zoomed out, and not blurry. ✓ 2010 World Map FreeUnfortunately when you download the "Free APP", you will be prompted to purchase the upgraded version. If you do that you will no longer need the "Free APP". ✓ Pretty poor.The problem with this map is it is based on the now out-moded Mercator projection which grossly distorts country size to fit the round world on a flat surface. Hence Greenland looks bigger than the whole of Europe because it is nearer the pole so gets spread out.
