Keynote Pros

AwesomeIt’s Amazing!.Wenda RomeoVersion: 13.0

Keynote rocks!I’m in love with this app. The interface is so clean and beautiful. The built in themes are lovely. They exude professionalism without appearing too business-like. Transitions are super smooth, not distracting. Being able to use the Apple Pencil is a major plus. The new layout is much friendlier, and reveals improvements that are both cosmetically pleasing and efficient. For those of us who do not create presentations daily, it’s ease of use and built-in help text are much appreciated. Bravo!.Bw4elvisVersion: 4.0

Keynote Cons

Photos don’t upload properlyKeynote has the ability to be the most important app I use. However, it takes about three times as long to use it as it should. Photos will not insert properly into my presentations. I’m using an iPad and iPad Pro and both of them have the same problem. When I go to insert a photo nothing happens. I have to click through other pages and come back to try again, or crash my ipad to try and get it to refresh. It’s actually a nightmare of wasted time and I’m ready to pay for a different program that hopefully doesn’t have this MAJOR glitch..LolapaintsVersion: 10.2

Great app, but update removes support for physical remotes and keyboardsA great presentation app that’s easier to use and more visually distinctive that PowerPoint. Unfortunately, the latest update breaks compatibility with non-Apple remotes and physical keyboards, meaning that you have to physically tap on the screen to advance slides. Fine in certain circumstances, but no good if you’re presenting to a large audience and don’t want to be chained to the iPad. Hopefully this is just a bug that will be fixed in a future update, but it’s hard to see how this one got past user testing since it concerns a central function of any presentation application. If this is important to you, I’d advise holding off from updating until support for remotes is reinstated..PhiloscoffeeVersion: 3.3
