✓ Excellent App.. Even worth its high priceVery good all round app to perform scoring. Scoring is extremely easy and can be even done by a fielder !!! One of the best things is undo buttons ( undo last ball, last over or ANYWHERE in the match. Couple of things.. It is missing - max overs per bowler, and ability to send a just one match (not the result, but the match, just like when using bluetooth) to another nxcricket app user, right now you have to send the entire nxcricket backup file. it would be perfect to be able to send that. One last thing is inability to add multiple players from contacts in one go. We have all players from other teams in gmail, and you have to select one player, save it, go back, select another player save it etc.. if implemented would make importing contacts from gmail/addressbook a breeeze. I would still give 5 stars to this app, inspite of these shortcomings. I hope the developers take this as constructive criticism and improve the app to make these changes in future updates. 8/26/2014: two years after my initial review , in this review I would still keep my 5 star rating!!! Updates have been added, albeit a little slowly, but worth the wait. Few other suggestions for developers - (1) add catches stats to tournament , similar to batting and bowling stats. (2) Possibly a fantasy league type points to allow certain points for runs, wickets, catches runouts, in order to define best all rounder for tournament... (3) ability to easily publish live scorecard to a website or FTP or rss or something easy by a click from within the app.. So that scorer can click a button in the app after every ball or over etc, and ppl who are following a match can get update. It could be a personal hosted website or similar.. That way the scores are not stuck inside the app and unleashed to the spectators who cannot go to the ground! These changes would add icing to an already wonderful app!.Version: 4.1.13

✓ Still the best!Despite having used nxCricket both on my iPhone and more recently iPad for the last three and a half seasons, I still give others a try to see if it can improved upon by another, but I'm yet to find one with the ease and effectiveness of this one. My only negative feedback I have to give other scorers at matches when they ask about it, is that unlike TCS, there is no direct uplink to the ECB's Play-Cricket website, though I always stress that nxCricket is so much more user friendly. *UPDATE* Great to see the inclusion of Play-Cricket in the app now, that was the only issue I had with it... ... Just as my club are about to move to a different league this season that don't use Play-Cricket. D'oh!!! 😲.Version: 4.3.0

Have looked at others, but this remains the best. Even helps inexperienced scorers (me 2 years ago) get the hang of scoring. Provides statistical and analytical information to help coaches, and players own awareness of their game. Makes it possible to score and watch the match, not just the paper. ✓ Great appUsed this for the first time on Saturday in a 100 overs match. Easy to use with a couple of minor issues. If a batsman hits a no ball for runs, the runs are credited to the batsman and the runs scored also appear in the extras total so where it should be just one no ball it also includes the runs scored. When a batsman is out it doesn't count this as a ball faced. But apart from that excellent app. Downloaded the latest update this morning now I can't even open the app..Version: 0

✓ Good but a few additions would make it amazingReally like this app - scorecard generated is awesome and statistical possibilities are great! The app is not particularly intuitive altho you get the hang of it eventually. A suggestion - a 'summary' mode as it is likely (unless you have a very dedicated friend or partner) that you will only be able to score in detail the innings you are batting (rather than fielding...) - the ability to just add in bowling, batting extras and scores without scoring every ball would be helpful for people who still want to keep track of averages etc but realistically cannot score every delivery. If this already exist apologies - I couldnt work out how to do it. This is easily the best scoring app I have seen tho - kudos!.Version: 2.1.2

✓ Most Impressive AppI've grabbed all the cricket scoring/umpiring apps from the store in preparation for the upcoming season of work games. This looks head and shoulders better than the rest in the 'before I've used it in anger' category. We have a couple of evening games, followed by a number of all day 10 over tournaments, so it's going to get a real test soon. I especially like that I can email the scorecard to the boundary at the end of each over, because when you are Umpiring both ends, scoring and organising the day these things make a HUGE difference! Author also seems very responsive to comments and updates the app to cover mistakes/extra features. I'll come back and update the review after our first game!.Version: 0

✓ Great Scoring Application, few bugs here thereAt first I have been using your App for many years now and I must say it is the best scoring app I have come across. I was probably the first of the few who might have purchased when it is initially launched. This app has matured quite a lot in times and I have seen it all from a very buggy to an efficient and accurate as it can be. So thank you. It has been a wonderful experience so far. I at least has referred 50+ teams to use this. I have been encountering couple of issues with the app which I have noticed and thought to report. 1. Team stats for a season does not calculate correct. Number of wickets and total scores are the few that I have encountered were incorrect. For example batsman's and bowler's individual stats differs from entire Batsmen or Bowler's stats page. 2. With intense use. The app freezes and I have to kill the app and relaunch it to make it function again. 3. When viewing the score card within the match by pressing the total. It takes away the toolbar 'Score' which takes us back to the score book. The workout I have it to kill the app and relaunch to bring it back..Version: 4.2.8
✓ Great . . . but . . .Really really really good app. As coach of a school team, it is easy to umpire and score at the same time - this is effectively a very upmarket counter! The presentation of the scores and statistics is outstanding. The addition of the wagon wheel is fantastic. The only problem is with the latest update the whole thing crashes when I try to email the finished game which is a great shame as kids, parents and opponents are all very keen to access the info. ✓ Big Improvement and easy to useThis app has everything required to score games. I was able to umpire and score at the same time using this app. I also was able to quickly assist the scorers with where they had made errors. A big improvement. Easy and simple to use. You can add players to teams quickly and move everything along. I ended up throwing the umpire counter back in th bag as the app did it all for me. The new colour scheme also makes it easier to read when out in the middle. This is a very stable app with options to cover almost all game formats. Great work developers keep it up..Version: 4.3.6
✓ The best of its kind... but be warnedNxCricket is busy with its presentation: other apps are cleaner with the iTouch real estate. It also is a premium product with commensurate price tag. In scoring a casual pick up game consider Runs: Cricket Scoring at a more reasonable price. Once the price is forgotten, nxCricket is outstanding. It offers multiple innings (other apps DON'T) and is highly polished, sensitive in adding data (including suggesting the bowler) and offers even more graphs (generate a match report in PDF to see what I mean!) Most of all it is an actively maintained app by a developer who knows his cricket (yes, a no ball counts as a ball faced). Highly recommended..Version: 4.1.0
✓ Best on the marketMy biggest fear with these apps is that it will crash or I’ll get stuck operating it and I can’t move on (the games not stopping!). I’ve tried them all and have had issues, but this is one is the most intuitive so that I feel comfortable figuring it out on the fly (and it’s never crashed). It also has an impressive amount of features (worms, pitch maps, wagon wheels, play-cricket capability etc) and the reports are comprehensive and useful. Only minor criticism is that it hasn’t been updated in a long time. Possibly the work of one guy. There are plenty of improvements that could be made to the aesthetics - layout, colours, clarity fonts, customisation etc - especially in the reports. It could really do with the work of a specialist in this department (not a programmer). But still, extremely good..Version: 4.5.4

✓ Cricket Score BookI have found this app to be an exceptional tool to use to keep score for the school boy team I coach. You need to experiment with it a bit at first but like anything, the more you use it, the easier it becomes. It is quite intuitive to use but some experimentation is required for out of the ordinary occasions, like when a batsman retires. The detailed match stats are an invaluable tool for the team and it is so easy to email the stats to the whole team. I like the wagon wheel can help players learn what area they hit the ball the most and where they score the most. One thing that you should add to the app is a drop catch button. I suggest that it would have the options of No Runs Scored, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 as usual. ✓ Needs a bit of an update but otherwise excellentI have used this app for nearly 8 years now across iPhone and iPad. Whilst I love everything about it, the current version of the app seems to have a couple of issues when you get into the sillier aspects of some matches. Something should be inputted for a player to be able to bat twice, and adjusting a target shouldn’t really require a change to max overs as well. Squad numbers incredibly brilliant addition but could be used in other places as well such on the main scorecard and be laid out next to, rather than below, a player name (would like to see 3 20 J Roy on the main interface eg)..Version: 4.5.5

Allow the user to manually edit the overs if a mistake is made as using the undo button takes too much time whilst scoring. 2. ✓ Excellent for coaches/scorers*update* I have also noticed that players when added will automatically be designated as captain, which is inconvenient. I also found during today's matches, a couple of times names of boys from the opposing team were on the list to be selected as a bowler/batter, instead of just my team list. Only happened twice, but may be worth a look. Wagon wheel still needs to be aligned properly too. I coach cricket professionally and have used this app for 3 years now. I have found this app to be so useful for scoring and for reviewing the matches. It's easy to use and offers a great range of stats that younger teams especially find very cool. Only minor issues I have found is that when viewing the scorecard, the tab to go "back" will sometimes disappear when it's not supposed to and make it very difficult to return to the scoring page. The other is that the wagon wheel sections are from the centre of the pitch, rather than where batter stands at the end of the pitch. ✓ Awesome App 5*I am a PE teacher and have used this app to score all of the fixtures we have played this year. The students enjoy the PDF it produces and other PE teachers that have seen the app have gone and brought it. Really is a great app. Great for lessons as l well. One recommendation, when playing paired cricket any chance you could record number of outs, as every time someone gets out I have to create a new player for the same person and it's a shame when they then put a good score on. ✓ Very good scoring appScoring on the app is very easy to navigate and never have any issues with bugs or glitches. Only 2 bits I would say that can improve the app. Firstly, introduce a way where notes can be taken (i.e drinks break) so minutes spent at crease can be more accurate, also for general notes (i.e to note when bowlers appeal for wickets or when there is general stuff to be noted). Secondly, to bring in an option to add fielders for specific batsmen so on the wagon you can see where fielders are (i.e clicking on position to notify which position took the catch).
