✓ What a WASTE! Stay Away!!I bought thinking it was a console emulator. After purchasing, I noticed that it doesn't play consoles, as stated in description... it plays music from console games.. and even that is complicated and does not always work. Waste of money and time..Version: 5.1
✓ Pretty Solid AppVery convenient for listening to SNES music and the like offline. The downloads bar is well-designed and makes it fast to find certain games. One concern though is that it doesn't have all of the game soundtracks like the NES/PlayStation sister apps, but I can cope. The image function is neat and the offline listening (because of the downloading) is very convenient. It is overall a good app that could do with a bit of improvement..Version: 5.0

✓ Good sound, but...Overall this app is useful because the music sounds very faithful to the original consoles in most cases. There are exceptions to that (Forgotten Worlds for Genesis sounds pretty awful, for example). Also, the app is relatively lightweight and you can pick and choose which soundtracks you want pretty easily. However, it's got some issues that have never been addressed and the app has been out for quite some time. 1) I paid to unlock a few systems a while ago and I just upgraded my phone and switched to the latest version of the app. Now the option to download music for the Turbografx (PC Engine) is gone. So there's no way to get that music back on there. 2) The ability to customize playback is very limited, for example there are no options to specify that songs should be looped twice before fading out gradually. Instead, the songs start, play through once, and then stop abruptly, most of the time right in the middle of a note, which is very jarring. 3) There is no normalize volume option, no option to display cover art of the game you're listening to, etc... stuff that would be really nice to have. There really aren't any options at all. If he could make sure that songs for all consoles could be downloaded, and there were just a few options for customization of playback, this app would go from 2 to 5 stars for me..Version: 5.1

✓ App is falling apartI’ve been using this app for years. Needs an update. Downloading some music files crashes the app immediately. Problem is, there’s no telling which ones will do this. Furthermore, it then crashes everytime you reopen the app. Had to uninstall to fix the crashing, erasing my library and playlists three times now... Devs... ✓ Potentially great, lots of glitches, needs much workThis should be 5 star app, but it is full of glitches. And yes, I know this is a music app, not an emu. I would gladly revise this to a five star rating if the creator fixes these glitches: 1) Editing playlists is a nightmare: changes aren’t reflected, the songs you are moving/deleting aren’t the actual songs you are editing; it is faster to re-create entire playlist rather than modify it. It is glitchy as hell and needs immediate updating. 2). The consoles are inaccurate! Under the systems menu it shows “PC engine “ but you can’t add songs for it. Conversely you can DL songs for MSX and gamegear but the app can’t play them. 3) The downloadable song directories are outdated and missing lots of games. 4) there is no way to edit song info, frustrating since many games have no song titles or any information. 5) “Skip less than 10 second tracks“ only skips songs about 1 to two seconds 6) songs can randomly become corrupted. some soundtracks don’t work at all and will even crash the app. 7) song album cover feature won’t work if you search for an image online it just applies the same image to all games. The app creator hasn’t updated the app in a very long time. Again, i would gladly revise this to a five star rating if they fix these issues. The playlist glitches are really bad and need to be fixed ASAP. It is so disappointing because this should be one of the best apps in the App Store..Version: 5.1

✓ Tracks Are Now in Random OrderI have been very fond of this app for a long time. It has been a great way to listen to a large selection of video game soundtracks without requiring a massive download size. There are issues with cut off time for tracks but I could get past that for the most part. Now there’s a bug of some sort that is making all the tracks in random order. It wasn’t always like this, I use the app somewhat regularly and the tracks have always been in correct order for the longest time. Now it is hard for me to recommend this now given the issue. I hope the developer is able to fix this issue but it has been years since the last update so idk..Version: 5.1
✓ Great app for VG music lovers but after last update it's broken.This app is just perfect for those who love to listen to their catchy video game musical memories. Unfortunately the most recent update killed the app to the point of it freezing and crashing after a few seconds during a game download, then unable to launch it again and you have to reinstall the whole app, which means reinstalling all your music. Hopefully the dev fixes it soon! Otherwise don’t waste your time building a big library only for it to crash out on you and have to delete the whole thing..Version: 5.1

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still crashes. Please fix this ASAP- I miss my retro soundtracks (especially Final Fantasy Mystic Quest). ✓ IT’s people like you who make Nintendo write cease and desists,I downloaded the app thinking “hey, this seems cool, a way to listen to older Nintendo music.” But no, I was SO WRONG. You make people pay to listen to these older songs outside of trying to find an MP3 of them that doesn’t have a virus. Now, for the title. Nintendo sees this, and thinks that everyone offering their older music is charging money for it. ✓ The people who made most reviews for this are dumb.It CLEARLY states in the about that you cannot play games with this. Also the title of the app is literally called SNESMusic, lol. Edit: literally everything except SNES needs to be purchased, and pretty much all of the songs are copyrighted. So basically, you’re probably going to get a fine from Nintendo about copyrighted songs being paid for and you getting all the profit instead of Nintendo. ✓ NONE of the systems are freeDespite what the app description says and despite what you are led to believe in this app itself, NO SYSTEMS, and NO SONGS are free... at all. When you try to download anything for ANY system (yes I tried them all) then try to play them, it tells you the "system is locked" and to pay the 99cents to 3 dollars to unlock the systems. There is even a "NES FREE - RESTORE" button that does absolutely nothing at all but spin around for awhile then crash. I will be reporting this app to Apple for false advertising. ✓ Missing musicSome notable music is missing from this selection, especially strange after finding the music on the website this app uses as a source. Notably, Pokémon BW and BW2. At first I thought it was due to the age of the app, which was untrue, seeing the date of the last update being well after the ds’s lifespan, the newest console on the app. It’s unlikely the app will be updated any time soon. Don’t get this app if you wish for a full music collection, just use YouTube like a normal person. NOTE: As far as I’m aware, as of iOS 14, and recent, previous update, this app cannot open ds music files downloaded of an internet browser, and quite possibly any other music files, this is an old app that will likely never get support again. It may be possible through iTunes still, however, is it worth going though those extra steps. Personally, it is not. I DO NOT recommend this app, unless there is a much needed update..Version: 5.1
