✓ Hoping for moreI was hoping to record my keyboards in stereo using the camera kit and the Griffin iMic. Even in stereo input mode, the keyboards record on a single track in mono. There isn't even any panning available. This is a completely mono app with no capabilities to punch in when recording tracks, or bounce to single tracks. I can't even monitor what I am playing through the iMic without using a seperate mixer. Very disappointing. I wanted to use this in conjunction with the Amplitube Recorder to add my keyboards, but obviously this is not going to work..Version: 2.0.1
✓ NawThis would be a great $.99 app. As is, it’s barely better than iOS voice memos. At least voice memos has a timeline. Rumors of punch and the like appear to be just that. Email option dead in the water. For this kind of money you can do FAR better. Please refund $9.00 of my investment and we both win. Thanking you in advance....Version: 2.2.7

✓ Needs Effects & A Editing SequencerGreat App But It Does Need A Sequencer To Edit, Cut & Chop Vocals & Instruments & Some Decent Effects Like Reverb, Delay, Echo, Chorus & Flanger Ect That Would Make This App 100x Better For Recording Home Studio Quality So Please Add These Features :-) If It Was More Similar To The DAW App I wouldn't be as disappointed because the faders make it easier to mix i just want to mix and master my tracks more correctly on the IPad.Version: 2.1.3
✓ Not For GuitaristsI purchased this a year ago and had asked the developer if it was normal to not be able to monitor the input. I was told that it does not provide for the monitoring of the recording input, not even with headphones. After a few major revisions, that feature is still absent and hence there's no way to appreciate what the guitar or for that matter mic is picking up, which makes it useless for improvisional composers like me. For the same price, Garageband is not much harder to figure out but far more sophisticated. Most importantly, it allows me to plug a guitar directly in (via USB or the audio input), select virtual amps and effects and hear the actual mix during while I compose and record. That's the least I expect from something calling itself a "portable studio"..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Stopping in tracks halfway throughWhenever I multitrack record each track at one time or another cuts out for about a second, but they don't cut out out the same time, this has been happening for a while but when I downloaded the tracks to my computer they sounded fine, however yesterday it happened again and when I loaded the tracks the seconds that were cut out we're in there, therefore I have to re-record the song, please can you fix this issue. Also on a side note, can you please make fast forwarding during recording a feature, because as someone who records a lot, it really eats into my time, if this can be put in the app and the issue I mentioned above is fixed it will get 5 stars, but until then it'll stay and two.Version: 2.1.4

✓ Needs pansI'm used to studios, I have my own proper one, so I love the idea of recording on an ipad. I had a lot of fun working with StudioMini XL and will no doubt use it as a sketch pad, its a fine little app - BUT IT NEEDS `to BE ABLE TO MOVE THE PAN (left or right position in the mix) of the tracks... this is such a basic thing i didn't even bother to check it had it before I bought it. It's simple to use and fun, and the ability to download the individual tracks to my Mac means i can mix 'off ipad' on a proper mixer or drop them into my studio - but, if you want to do serious recording on an ipad and only on an ipad forget it as an app. Great little toy to play with, but seriously limited in use-ability and sophistication - it will only ever be a toy or basic sketch pad with lack of panning and eq or effects etc. Before you buy it. you really need to think about whether you want a toy or a studio.Version: 2.0.1
✓ DisappointingIt does what it says on the tin but a little disappointing for the money. There's no function to edit tracks, repeat tracks, edit BPM etc etc. the sound quality is good though. Overall, good app just overpriced for something so limited..Version: 2.1.3
✓ Good but...This is a good app and does what is advertised, but should cost less for the features given. Converting exported files is a little annoying. Features to add (please!): Export as wav Landscape mode Import wav (or any format!) Effects: reverb, comp, etc Adjustable input/mic gain (not just monitoring) Also, it's not really convenient for most people to also hook up a mixer for on the fly recording. Using the iPads mic can add lots of hiss and background noise. Adding a noise filter to help remove this would be an amazing step forward. Compared to the competition, the price is good but options are extremely limited. Works well for recording rough 1 track acoustic jams and just capturing song ideas. Adding some of these features would make it a higher rated app..Version: 0
✓ OKRecords well, needs more loops and variable bpm .... Not exactly sure the looper is working correctly after loop loaded. So bit buggy on looper. E mail feature is cool and weblink. Could be good...don't give up developers... Make it great..Version: 2.1.6
✓ Over-ratedI have now tried out 3 apps in an effort to find what I was looking for This one @ £6.99 Twistedwave @ £6.99 and Wavepad (free). After putting all of the apps through their paces, Studiomini XL had by far the least appealing sound quality, Twistedwave Created incredibly large files. The best of the lot in terms of sound quality and effects was Wavepad. Just goes to show spending money does not always give you what you need. One can argue that this is not a fair comparison - Studio Min is an 8 track recorder - so I compared it to Vocalive by IK Media. I was bitterly disappointed by this product - it does not even reach the table with Vocalive being a far better product for effects, multi tracks , mix down and everything..Version: 2.1.4

✓ Where are the tools?This has the appearance of functionality but I can't do anything meaningful with it aside from song sketches, can't find a mic input, no asio selector, no routing... Nada. Am I just stupid? It records and plays via the iOS onboard stuff so it gets a star, but this app sold itself as something better than what it is... I would like a refund. Sorry, I hate to leave negative feedback but I'm tired of wasting my time with scams and if you talk your product up then you better deliver. ^updated- hooked up a mic via sub and this app crashes instantly upon arming track for rec.Version: 2.2.3

✓ Could be betterThis app is not worth $9.99 there aren't any effects. The lay out is cool ,but what's a "recording studio" with zero effects u can't even pan on this app....
