✓ I rig no sound prob fixJust got the i rig and set it up and there was sound at first next time i used it there was no sound at all to fix this issu i tried every thing what it is is in the recording tab the is a m and a s the m means mute just unmuit it and it will work it is a great device glad i got one hope this helps out.Version: 2.0.2
✓ No problems!IPhone 4s ... Not sure why there are negative reviews? But I've had it loaded and used the hell out of for the past 24 hours. It ain't like sittin with you rig but duh!!! You must register your device before it works 100% but the instructions tell you that. It works fine people. I bet any pay stuff would work better. ✓ Careful with connectionsNot too shabby on a 3G. The irig didn't work with one of my 1/4" cables, no sound from guitar. The cable was good, been using it regularly, swapped cables and it's fine. Also my 3G has a case that I have to remove for the plug to seat properly. The sound is a bit processed, something in the reverb is tinny but overall I like it. It is noisy unless you go into setup and turn off all the options that are labelled as possibly causing noise (these are on by default in the free app but not the paid one). Total pita to register so still haven't got free distortion effect. This is a handy way to fiddle with gear setups without sitting in front of a computer..Version: 0
✓ I'm so excited that this has arrived!I've been using their full version on my Mac for about a year and it bangs, so I was really pleased to hear that an iPhone version was coming. I just downloaded and installed this. The pictures of the amps and pedals are excellent and look just like the real thing, and the sound is great. I'm waiting for my i-rig interface to arrive so I can use this properly (i'm testing it right now with a mates guitar itnerface which comes with rubbish software) and the guitar sound is excellent. ✓ Plug in iRig before loading appI couldn't get it to work until I realized that I had to plug the iRig in before I loaded the app. If I accidentally unplug it, I then have to close the app properly, plug it in and the launch the app again.Version: 0
✓ Not bad!Worked first time but couldn't work out why everything including the "clean" fx were distorted. 30mins later I realized I had the iPhone turned to half volume! So, after re-adjusting everything, it did what I needed/expected and sounds good. As a person who travels a fair bit for work, I sometimes carry a cut down electric guitar in my suitcase to practice, so this keeps the packing to a bare minimum! Btw I got the iRig from EBay for $18 delivered from Hong Kong to Australia. There's stacks more on EBay, good luck, and good licks !.Version: 2.2
✓ New Version May Work BetterUpdate: I reinstalled the app and the knob fuzziness cleared up. I agree with another reviewer that the bass guitar sound is often muddy. It is sometimes a little distorted on the extreme low end, this could also be the iPhone limitations. I think it must lose something between the cabinet and the mic in their sample. Also it would be nice to bypass the cabinet and just use the head. It has a funny frequency in the bass sound that is hard to EQ out. I do like the Ultimate Tuner that's in the app but could care less for the drums and recorder for now. They should have put the effort in making it a great bass app before moving on to drums and recording. It might be good for professional use like some of the other apps I have for Bass Guitar. I just haven't tried it yet on stage..Version: 4.0.2
✓ Works ok.Don't expect to actually use this in a live performance or recording, the tones are not that great and the responsiveness is not very realistic. The tone reminds me of a super cheap multi-effect processor plugged into a small stereo. That said, I was able to play the free version with no perceivable latency with an iphone 3g. the tuner and metronome seem to work fine. The screen layout is nice and the controls are intuitive. The delay, noise gate and distortion pedal are nice and it's great to be able to save your presets. This app, of course, would be useless without a special cable to hook up a guitar. I made my own, so I couldn't comment on the iRig addaptor. Given that this does turn your iphone into a multi-effect guitar processor for free, it easly deserves 4 stars. You can use a camcorder cable to plug your guitar in. The red plug of the camcorder cable is the "mic in", the yellow and white go to the amp or stereo. For your guitar input: Use a 1/4" female to RCA female adaptor to mate with the red RCA Jack on the camcorder cable..Version: 0

✓ Effects work and then they donI recently downloaded the app and registered on-line. Day 1 I loved the sound, distortion, and delay. Day 2 I turned on the amp and effects tuned up using the tuner on the app. None of the effects worked. Even though I cranked the nobs and switched the pedals on (with red light) and off. I went to itunes to see what others were saying and saw that there was a love hate review there. They loved it when it worked but others were seeing what I saw. I rebooted my iPhone and then "hard" rebooted by pressing the top button and the button on the front of the phone. Guess what??? Everything worked again. I went to the tuner turned it back on and guess what, nothing worked. I hard rebooted and could repeat this again. Just thought you would want to know. A fix would be nice, since I like the tuner and overall the sound is great value for the money..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Great app one of the bestI don’t know what all these negative reviews are about. I have owned this app for quite awhile I have everything it offers. It looks great sounds great. Love all the extra packages. Only problem is I usually have to unplug my interface from my iPad and then plug it right back in for it to work. I don’t no why but if this helps anyone. Unplug and plug back in from the lightning connector. Also too long in between any updates new sounds for iOS and such. I have both AmpliTube 5 and 4 on my Mac. Also irig keys the irig pads micro monitors the irig 1 irig 2 irig hd irig pro duo 1 st one and the I loud speaker which I LOVE and the I klip stand and adapters. Love it all. ✓ Best practice amp I've seen!This thing is great, even with the limited functionality being the free version, it is still very good. The capability of this program, coupled with iRig, is excellent. I have been running it directly into my valve amp by way of the appropriate lead and I must say I am very impressed. I am a guitar teacher and I have all sorts of students from the ordinary (no offense) to the brilliant and they all agree, Amplitube for iPhone sounds AWESOME! I will qualify this - when it goes into your headphones, the sound quality isn't as good because, seriously, valves make everything sound better. But for something that cost me roughly $80 in total (including the full version of the software) I am WAY impressed. Many people are saying this is the best practice amp in this price range on the market. Go in with some friends to split the postage and buy the iRig from the IK website. ✓ Sounds GoodJust played around with the free version and the included loops. Using the interface is very intuitive. Sounds decent through headphones. Was wondering how a previous poster was able to use a camcorder cable to connect his guitar. I tried using the yellow rca end to connect the guitar (via a female rca to 1/4 adapter), and using the red and white rcas to connect my headphones. The headphone signal worked, but the unit didn't recognize any guitar signal coming in.....Version: 0
✓ Great app, even better rigThis app is very easy to use and I was playing within minutes. The sound quality is obviously not going to be as good as a tube amp, but I'm impressed with how close they got! The occasional click/pop is there, but it doesn't and shouldn't undermine the whole experience of being able to play without lugging gear around! ✓ I love it!Bought the iRig 2 years ago used all the basic free stuff for quiet home playing and recording and it was fantastic for putting ideas together. I do prefer the iPad layout to the iPhone but that’s only because of screen size. But I Really enjoyed it so I bought the iRig HD 2 just an amazing little device. All the bonus content for the app it comes with is great more then I need I’m sure but it makes the app way more versatile with endless possibilities. I love that I can connect my Blackstar Series One and my own stomp boxes to the iRig HD 2 through to my iPad or Mac and use my actual rig for recording. ✓ My rig on the go!Let’s be real, it’s annoying to have to lug around your amps, cabs, and FX everywhere. So why not make it easier on yourself and have it all in an app on your iPhone and/or ipad? AmpliTube is that solution. This app makes recording and playing on the go so much easier for me. ✓ Great for practicingThe amps sound great for quiet practicing. I’m on a tour of duty in Kuwait and need to be quiet with my playing. It really sounds incredible with a pair of powered, noise-cancelling headphones. With regular headphones though, it can get staticky and muted. I did plug it in my old Fender 110 amp at home before I left and it made that crappy little amp sound good. I currently use the iRig 2 interface with it, so an HD or HD2 would probably make it sound even better. The recording feature is great for saving ideas for recalling them in the future. Bump up to the 8 track recorder and drum machine, you could probably write an entire song on it. It can get pricy with the in app purchases of other amps and features. But if you buy the bundles you could save quite a bit of money. Overall, I’m happy with the app..Version: 4.7.0

✓ Very good practice deviceI bought the PRS cables and the jam amp. The jam amp, amps and cabs and guitar fx deluxe apps, While decent little guitar rigs, distort really easy, and feedback when using active pickups. The free Amplitube rig has it's threshold as well, but with the noise gate feature, this is reduced quite a bit. Tone wise, through passive and active pickups, this thing rocks! Using the PRS cables is perfectly fine, for those of you who bought them like myself. The amp is very responsive, and the distortion has a ton of bite. I am not very impressed with the delay, but it does add a dimension to the tone, and makes it fun to play with. The tuner works great and is almost exactly in tune with my line6 podx3. The jam amp app is not. If you want something to record an album on, this might not be it. But it goes much farther than other apps of it's kind. I plan to expand to the full version now that I have had a chance to play the free setup. If you want a great practice amp, and free is your kind of price, this is well worth the money... And register to get the free distortion box! I give it four stars, because it still does feedback a little, and the delay is not fully realized in this version..Version: 0

✓ FantasticThe iRig is fantastic and does allow me to play my bass no matter where I am. The recording functions aren't particularly slick but are useful. ✓ What's all the fuss about?Maybe things have improved with the software in recent times but I've had no problems. It took about a minute to work out (through simple exploration) that turning on the noise filter removes the hissing noise. Recording music is a doddle and for those complaining saying "this stomp and that stomp should come as standard without paying" just put your hand in your pocket and stump up the £1.99, it's hardly going to put you into poverty; people don't just make specialised apps like this for free. Anyway great app, I like being able to practice in my headphones without using my amp :-). P.S. the envelope filter's better than I expected.Version: 2.2.2

✓ Good but not brilliant!Easy to use interface a bit cramped but ok - I'd much prefer a better layout than fancy graphics to imply better sound quailty than it really is ( that only works on movie folks not muso's) No record ability, but u can jam along to any tracks u download into the local interface. ✓ Problem solvedI also had problems after upgrading . Found the software on the touch needed updating, that solved the problems. Lost 2 stomps I had just bought tho, went online to I tunes help, spoke with an advisor who was useless. Dropped ok multimedia a mail, they responded straight away . Needed to load amplitude and "buy" the two missing stomps again, when asked to confirm purchase message came up saying already bought, just download it again .check your purchases on iTunes first to make sure they are there tho before you do this!! ✓ Good but a financial risk?After trying several other guitar amp/fx apps I decided that overall I liked this free version the best. It works fine with my budget priced guitar/iPhone interface (a Tiger ICO2 WH) plus my old Gibson Les Paul, and it makes a good clear sounds with very little feedback problem. Also liked the feature of being able to turn fiddly knobs with the right hand sidebar. A neat little touch that for iPhone users which other guitar fx apps seem to lack. I purchased an extra pedal fx- the Choir, which is quite amazing because you can layer up to 3 extra voices within an octave of the pitch you play; kept me happy for hours! I'd be tempted to buy the full package if it weren't for the caveat that it seems you can't restore purchases made previously through the free version. I'd need assurances that this is no longer the case, and all buyers can use the app on both iPhone and iPad platforms without paying double the cost..Version: 2.6

I have been playing with the software and the interface for a couple of days on my iPhone 4 and second generation iPod and have gotten a tone with the free version I didn't think were possible. I will be trying with my girlfriends iPad and will more than likely upgrade to the full version soon. Before I purchased Amplitube, I tried two other guitar apps to compete with it and nothing beats Amplitube. The app has great sounds with clean tone and distortion, including other effect pedals and quality brand amplifiers that are used by famous musicians. Everything in Amplitube is amazing. ✓ Really good!I got a bass for my birthday but i hate using amps because they, especially with basses, can shake the ground and are really loud, and since im autistic, i cant deal with loud noise. my father introduced me to this app though, and it works great! I just wish you were able to close out of the app and still be able to play since im new to bass, i still have to look at online sheet music for the songs i want to play; i cant really do that if every time i close out of the app, the amp shuts off. ✓ Not worth itSure, this is a good product. And was bloody excited when I found this app. But it is not worth it. Place this against a zoom pedal for example. Zoom pedal cost me 50 quid. Many more effects on it, fits into a gig-bag and maybe even a large back pocket. ✓ Good enough to satisfyLong-time rocker, I've had loads of gear...this app is a great tool, not the best A-class studio unit in town but for free u get a great tuner, metronome, recorder, amp sim which isn't too bad (terrible reverb), and some other goodies that are excellent for ideas, jamming and musical note-making. If you want world-class, spend some $$$. I had a hiccup on install, which as previously mentioned in reviews, only gave me a direct-thru guitar sound...didn't require re-install, merely went into recorder and created a new song, went back to recorder and up came the amp sound and effects.. Set levels and off you go. The iRig can be also used to run a line-out to either mp3-in or guitar-in into your instrument amp, sounds very much better as a pre-amp into a valve combo, for example..Version: 2.2.2

No problem, just had to go back and download it all again, no charge. Now works like a dream. How to quit the app: shut down Amplitube, double click the home button, press and hold AmpliTube ikon till ikons start shivering and press the red minus sign beside it, amplitube disappears, click home button twice, ( not double click) this shuts down the app..Version: 0
✓ Awesome, but no multitasking??This is great. I just bought a guitar and am using this for my amp plugged into headphones or speakers. The one thing that is a huge dissappointment is that there is no multitasking. I'm new to guitar and would love to be able to use Tabs Plus or other guitar apps while running Amplitube. Also, for all the bells and whistles and in-app purchases, this app is almost $50. Not bad for such extensive software, just a warning if you are looking for lots of free stuff. Not real sure what some reviewers were expecting for free or a few bucks( some people would complain about being hung with a new rope... :p ) if you read the installed help section and know how to use your phone/computer volume and tone settings, you can get tone that won't sound like your first guitar and cheap digital amp.... I bought the iRig just to interface my guitar to my phones Strobotuner@ application, and decided to try the fee app. You get two effects and a noise filter( not necessary if your guitar is quiet to start with) just keep the effect & amp gains and levels under control and you get close to what your looking for... I play for a living and this combination works for what was designed for.... It does have little, occasional pops but that is the phone audio/ iRig compatability not the app. So Enjoy it, I do.... :).Version: 0
✓ Vast improvement over the previous interfaceEverything seems more accessible now. And there have been a few major improvements like the ability to reorder stomp box effects easily. But my Lord will these people try to rip you off! It's like being in a second hand car showroom. You have to navigate with them continually pushing you for extra money the whole time. And the individual effects, amps and cabinets, and every individual tiny thing are clearly vastly overpriced, and miraculously disappear on upgrade. I recently seem to have discovered that the iPad version,it's impossible to get the same things you bought on the iPhone version to work. Ridiculous. ✓ I love this app!I've been playing bass for 10 years and this is the first time I've been able to jam ANYWHERE! Without the need of an amp! Absolutely amazing piece of software. I found that using a big headphones without a microphone reduces the buzz, or just turning the volume down! I love the inbuilt tuner! Amazing idea and the metronome. It's never going to replace my live gig setup , but for practicing at home or when out and about it's a brilliant big of kit! Really pleased. ✓ Need Access to the Older VersionOk, I was forced to download the app because the older version no longer works with the new iOS. I use it all the time, it works great, just like before, no issues, but my question is: What can be done to gain access to my songs stored on the deprecated app? I have tons of data still stored on my phone which I can no longer access because the developer has not updated the app to work with iOS 11. I hesitate to begin recording on this new app for fear that next year I will be forced to update again. Can a utility be created to import the old data from the older app?.Version: 4.4.0
