AmpliTube CS for Negative User Reviews

PpppssddI brought this thing a while ago and I have only used it once to see if it worked now for no reason what so ever it don't work on my iPhone 5s I deleted the app a few times and same thing but still works on my partners iPad witch she always uses so don't do me any good lol worst thing about this is I have paid quite a lot of money on this app on different effects so I figure it must just be the iPhone version that's stuffed.Version: 3.4

Tweeking needed pt 2Seems my previous review was cut very short and edited. I’ll try again. After forking out about $170 on this app getting all it has to offer I’m not impressed. After I record one track I expect it to stay the same when I record onto another track using a different amp. But no. The new amp bleeds into all the tracks including the drum track. That’s not acceptable. Didn’t do it all the time but annoying when it does. Makes the app useless. Also the feedback through the speakers switching to high gain amps is painful. That’s annoying. No volume slider on the drum track in editor. Can I have the gear assigned to individual tracks stay put please..Version: 4.10.1

Fix the bloody crash! This app crashes so frequently it's almost unusable. Haven't been able to use it longer than 15 mins and that after it having crashed at startup endless times. No exaggeration here. Haven't seen anything so bad before. Been crashing since version 2.0.3 and it's now 2.1, how useless can you be??? If this is to force us to buy the nonfree app, I WON'T buy it until you fix the free one and I get to try it first!.Version: 2.2

Poor effectsI tried the standard free effects (crush, delay and phaser) and found them all to be of extremely poor quality with way too much treble. I initially thought that maybe this was because they were the free features and not meant to be very good, however I then purchased the “red special” effect to see if there was any use to this app in terms of achieving different guitar sounds, but it was pathetic. The sound quality was awful and some settings wouldn’t work when I tried it on a strat. It was a relief to turn the app off and return to the amp's own sound as the app provided a lot of annoying background noise through the amp that could not be turned off by the usual killing of the volume on the guitar. Really disappointing for such a cool concept, as well as for the money spent on it..Version: 4.10.0

What a let downI thought this was great idea. I have the i rig and couldn't wait to play it. The delay effects did not work, and no matter how I tried I could not send or export anything that I recorded. I gave up on the customer service when I was given these instructions "Sorry to hear that didn't work for you. That is definitely strange to hear as we haven't received any reports of such an issue. You may want to try turning the iPhone off completely and restarting. Do this by holding down the power/standby button for a few seconds until you see a red slider that says: "slide to power off". Move the slider and wait until the iPhone turns off completely. Wait another 10-20 seconds, then turn the iPhone back on. This will clear the internal memory, and may fix the issue. ..." There was more to this e mail but, why go on. Thanks, now I know how to turn my I phone off and look at the memory. I hope no one else has to deal with customer service..Version: 2.0.3

Doesn't work with Apple mp4 format songsAlthough it lets you jam along with your existing songs, it doesn't work with songs in mp4 format, which is what iTunes uses by default for importing CDs. So none of my 5,000 songs works. I was hoping to use Amplitube to jam along with the songs I have on iTunes. Unfortunately, it doesn't do that, what it lets you do instead is download up to 20 songs to play within Amplitube. I went through the messy process it requires of getting on a computer that's on the same wifi network as my iPod Touch, going to a special Amplitube website, uploading a song file from my computer, downloading it into Amplitube, and "expanding" it within Amplitube, 20 times. The problem is, Amplitube doesn't seem able to handle Apple's default format, m4a. Instead of playing the song, each time I pressed the play button it just "expanded" it again. I believe it prefers mp3 files. Considering this app is designed for the Apple iPod/iPhone, this seems like a rather large oversight and renders the app unusable for me..Version: 0

No real content-No bass at allOnly one amp, no effects and absolutely nothing for bass unless you pay for everything separate.Bought Irig Hd2,had hoped for something better than this as I play guitar and bass. Garage Band is better, and is free..Version: 4.11.0

AnnoyingAfter forking out on irig hd2 and getting this software with it i’d now pass on both. Any misplaced tap and the thing tries to sell you more of the same. File sharing between apps is very limited so trying to get a recording into a decent editor is a terrible experience. Suddenly stumbled across an option to save to garage band and hey presto, nowhere to be found in garage band! The irig hd2 hardware is probably excellent but bundling with this is a serious let down. I get that it is a free version but it’s so bad I wont fork out more money on top of the hardware because it is so terrible. Sometimes using new software can be frustrating at first. This is still frustrating after a couple of months. Fail..Version: 4.4.0

Decent app, but very spammy. The app is decent enough at what it does, but the constant nagging every time you activate the app, the constant attempts to upsell to unlock core functionality, and requirement to jump through buggy registration hoops makes me wary of purchasing the full product. I'd pay £5 for this app with none of the obnoxious prompts and with the registration required presets, and then an in-app upgrade to the full version would be a good deal. I've yet to find an app which does what this one does better on the app store. It's just a shame that the company is so disrespectful of their customers (or even, potential customers)..Version: 2.5

App's okay, mailing list not so hot...So, I was thinking about getting the full version, thought I'd try the trial. They cleverly gate the distortion effect (sort of a big part of a guitar app) behind having to register for an account. I did. I went and checked their privacy settings and so on, made sure I wasn't signed up for any lists, and got my pedal. Then I got a promotional mailing from them. Sure, technically spam since I didn't sign up for it, but whatever, I'll just unsubscribe. Then I got another one a bit later. So... No, I'm not buying the full version, or buying any pedals from them. I am not okay with the "we will put you on a mailing list and not honor your unsubscribe" thing. Mailing lists need to be opt-in. Sound's okay, I guess. The big win of the app is the tuner. I guess if you wanted all the specialized pedals and stuff, this would be pretty nice, but also quite expensive. (Not, mind you, compared to actual music hardware, but compared to competing apps.) But yes, I really would rate a product lower because I don't enjoy dealing with the company. Their model is that you have to have an account with them to get pedals, and pedals cost money, so if you want to use this app, you're committing to a relationship with the company, and at that point, their bad mailing list management and support issues become a downside for the app as a whole..Version: 2.1

Beware of the iRig shipping costThe iRig is needed to use this app. It sells for $39.99 usd plus $30.00 shipping charges. Depending on where you live, there may be taxes and duty charges as well..Version: 2.0.3

Needs an updateThis worked from the box the first time i used it. The next time none of the effects worked. Did an uninstall then reintalled which seemed to cure the problem for a while. Just tryed it again and it crashes on start up. When it works its ok but a bit hissy but dont want to keep reinstalling each time i want to use it..Version: 2.2

No volumeAudio demo works fine as does metronome. But I have to use a preamp to get any volume from the guitar. And now the effects don't have much "effect" on the sound. Apparently many people are having this issue and think the iRig is defective. I'm pretty annoyed that is for sure. IK please fix this issue or you'll get plenty more bad reviews..Version: 2.0.2

AmplitudeFirst time I have left a review, but after using this great app for a few weeks thought I would post the reason I won't be upgrading to the full version. Fantastic when it works but that only appears to be for a couple of days at a time. All in app sounds work but no sound comes from my guitar. I then need to delete the app and reinstall to fix. Please update..Version: 2.2.2

Great product but ........It is outrageous that Apple have allowed such a premium product to charge as separate iPad and iPhone Apps. Once a user has purchased the intellectual property, they should be free to use it on any device - after all, they are very unlikely to use both versions at the same time. The equally impressive Ampkit have confirmed in an email to me (replied after only 10 minutes) that their forthcoming iPad version will be a universal App and all settings transferable between the different versions. Come on IK Multimedia - sort yourselves out or you will lose market share..Version: 0

Bass players BEWAREAll over the literature and box the product states "plug in your guitar or bass" "use your guitar or bass" "plug in your guitar or bass", however this FREE app has no stock bass amp included. That is an in-app purchase for $4.99. Not impressed.Version: 2.5

Purchases should be transferablePlease make purchases transferable to full version, thank you. Plus app crashes when loading projects recorded before latest update..Version: 2.5

Great fo guitar but keeps crashing!I downloaded this a while ago but only started to use it within the last few weeks. The free version only gives you 3 tracks to use so I purchased more. Since that purchase I have had relentless crashing issues almost every single time I select a new track to record onto...it’s maddening!! I would honestly say that 90% of the time it crashes. Such a shame because this app is perfect for what I need. I’ve rated 2 stars because of the crashing issue, otherwise I would give it 5 stars..Version: 4.11.0

Waste of timeI found app confusing to use. Setup was not as straight forward as you would thing. Never got a clear sound. Lots of buzzing fuzz and unwanted distortion. Went and got another app. Unfortunately it seems like they are more interest in trying to sell you more amps and effects than just trying do a good job..Version: 4.5.2

Tempo Wheel doesn’t work!I hate to say it, but the tempo control still doesn’t work. That’s a long time to wait for a fix, and the problem is still there!.Version: 4.14.1

Decent beginningsMake it stereo output and I'll buy it. Reverb and chorus just sound best in stereo. Here's a few ideas for future: Add a floor controller that plugs into the 30pin connector. Give the floor controller a wah pedal. If the iOS4 won't support the higher processing demands of stereo processing, put the DSP in the floor controller and make the iOS device the editor/librarian/display only. Perhaps use the accelerometer/gyros for controlling different parameters (like wah). you could make the spring reverb, in the amp models, clang when you bump the iphone (kind of cheesy). How about an impedance transformer built into the iRig interface?.Version: 0

They do NOT support bass playersThe free version of software and even the iRig box itself all say that it supports bass guitarists. It's a lie. There are no bass heads or cabinet models available in the free version of the software. After shelling out $40 for the iRig, it should be expected that I get some love for playing bass like it says on the frickin' box. NOPE!! you get to play through a guitar amp model. I even emailed Support. They told me to adjust the eq if I wanted more bass. I told him I was ripped off. He said that if I wanted stuff for bass guitar, then I have to buy the add-on software. SAVE YOUR MONEY! If I had followed through, I would have spent over $65 just to be able to use their product as it is advertised. NO THANKS. At that point, you could pick up a really cheap used practice amp and get by. FAIL..Version: 2.5

Does not meet Apple Developer GuidelinesThe Apple Developer Guidelines state that an app should be usable without the user needing to purchase in-app purchases. In my opinion this app fails to meet that requirement because of its over zealous UX driving you to the store. Although I purchased an amp plugin, which I felt was expensive for a single amp sound, I would have been happy enough with this. However, you can barely tap on any control in this app without being sent to the in app store to buy another (expensive) plugin. Save yourself a waste of time and get Apples Garageband instead. This is a total waste of time..Version: 4.3.0

I hear this crumbling soundWhen I play I hear this crumbling sound.Version: 4.8.0

A completely pointless productIt may be derived from an award winning PC plug in but on an iphone its just a toy. If I have my guitar I also have my amp. Why would I hook up a phone, headphones and a guitar in such a manner that any small movement will destroy one of them. Maybe I could live with the above if the bundled so called free software was well featured without them constantly trying to fleece you for more money to complete the product. This was a present which I should have given back. Maybe the iRig will work with Garageband (which makes this app look very silly)..Version: 2.2.1

Please don't buy this appThis app doesn't work at all, stick with the free app. You will be disappointed. $20 is too expensive to lose. If I didn't have I would even give it one star..Version: 2.0.2

Where are my purchases?I purchased a number of stomp pedals and they are not showing up..Version: 4.14.1

Help...Can any one help?, I've downloaded the free version and the le version but none of them will recognise my guitar or the fact it's either running on my stereo or through headphones. Is this a software problem or could it be a faulty irig unit?. I've contacted ik multimedia and they sent me a some checks to do but still nothing works. I'd say at the moment stay well clear of it, £25 down the pan, how can they get away with it??.Version: 2.2.1

Not reccomendedLiterally need to buy everything to get off the ground. No good if you're looking for a cheap option to connect and get some good tones going....Version: 4.3.0

IrigUsed it once and it worked well. The second time I used it the effects wouldn't work. Spent an hour trying to figure it out. They should give me my cash back.....Version: 0

Very disappointed in your..........app and customer service. On higher tempo the drum tracks are awful. I've emailed you for assistance a few times with no reply. I feel I've been very much short changed by your app as I've spent a lot of money on in app purchases. I suppose as long as people buy your product you don't particularly care about what happens after. Such a pity as all the potential is there.Version: 4.3.0

Effects not workingI have the irig but the effects don't work. I only hear the unaltered guitar tone. I was particularly perturbed when I had the same problem with the iPad version. I did manage to get it working briefly but when I turned the device back in the next day the effects weren't working. I have read enough reports of the same thing happening that I think it's unacceptable for this problem to persist. Fortunately, the irig works with GarageBand on iPad and the peavy software. I hope they get this smoothed out because it could be very cool..Version: 2.2.2

Garbage software for garbage hardwareI can't unrecommend enough..Version: 4.8.0

AmpliTube let downMy son bought me the IRig and, having loaded 3.1.3 IOS onto my ipod touch, the Amplitube free was loaded on. It took some time, and then, when I tried to open th eprogramme - the front page flashed on then off and nothing. I have written to the software support for their comments - will wait to hear. Certainly would not consider buying anything like the full version until this is resolved..Version: 2.0.3

Ripp off company!! terrible to no support wait for native instrumentsCheating greedy IK have a version for iphone and ipad...and they do the SAME! They tout the ipad version is better because of the processor when in fact the iphone 4 is way more powerful. What a cheat! Paying large amounts of money for the same app just because of the screen size! Come on IK, do the right thing like most other devs and have one universal app. It's not enough you charge for in app purchases you have to release two versions!!.Version: 0

Crashed!! (v2.2)Saw the update included some of the effects from the vocalive app, which inclined me to update it. Since The update however, I found that it crashed every time I attempted to open it! Before the update it worked like a charm, and I was seriously considering purchasing the full version. Not anymore. Refund of all the in app purchases please. Or fix it!!! >:(.Version: 2.2

Crashes, freezing, annoying pop ups to buy $10 4 track recorderI had read good things about this app, and went out and bought an irig to hook up my guitar. Based on the free version, I cannot recommend this app. 1) No clean sounds. Everything is distorted no matter how you turn the gain on the amp down. I want a clean sound, not distortion. Even with my Parker mojo on piezo settings, and humbuckers turned down, could not get anything close to a clean tone. 2) When I went into the 'master' tab, app would freeze every time. 3) Most annoying of all, it would start with pop ups, "Confirm your 9.99 purchase of the 4 track recorder?' I would hit 'cancel', and the pop up would just come up again, and again. I had to hit cancel at least ten times in a row, before I shut off the app in disgust. When I started it again, I didn't get any guitar sound at all. Reloaded it, same problem, Again, the pop ups on the 'master tab'. I deleted it, and I will be returning my irig hookup to the apple store for a refund. I was looking forward to this but there is no way I'm risking $4 or $20 to buy the full package when the free version is this buggy, and in the 'hopes' it includes a decent clean sound. Using itouch 3rd gen with OS 4.1. I downloaded 'ampkit' instead and found that one at least worked and didn't give me any pop ups that insisted I buy something. However, 'Ampkit' has the same problem: no clean sounds. Hey devs, not everyone is playing heavy metal! How hard is it to include a good acoustic sound? Fix the 'buy me!' pop ups. This is total turn off..Version: 0

Where is the bundle under irigpro/Io?!Just got the irig pro-io and registered the code. No avail of the bundle on the iPhone. Honestly feeling duped and thinking if I should have gone for the apogee Jam+ instead. What’s going on amplitube????.Version: 4.9.0

Update crashed appJust did update and now completely screwed up. Why now??? Was working fine before?!??.Version: 2.0.3

BadEv n at the lowest latency there is a delay, plus, 500MB for 2 amps/cabs??? You should not include all the locked crap in the download, it’s ridiculous, it should be downloaded only when purchased, major waste of space.Version: 4.5.1

Beware of all things ik multimedia if u use iPadFalsely advertised as being compatible with iPad Pro 3rd generation. I invested $200 in irig keys 49 , plus $30 for a power supply, plus $30 for a dongle adapter to connect the keyboard to the iPad 3. It simply doesn’t work. All that free software, I can’t download it from my registered ik multimedia account. I can pay $$$ for the apps of course. But even the free app like AmpliTube doesn’t work because neither my iPad Pro or my iPhone X recognizes the keyboard. Wasted money and time because irig keys 49 falsely claims to be compatible with iPad Pro 3rd gen.,,,,,.....at very least. You got me once ikmedia,.........I’ll never be back as a customer and will forever dissuade anyone from buying your product. Also, customer service is non existent if they know you are using an iPad Pro..Version: 4.10.1

NOT WORTH ITI purchased irig to test this app. The controls are clumsy and the knbs do not turn as they should, so I was stuck with Reverb and other effcets that I could not control. IRig itself comes with no connectors, just confusing instructions. Once you buy IRig you need to go out yet again and buy various connectors from electronic shops just to use the thing. Once plugged in (after days hunting down the bits needed to plug it into my Fender amp) I found the sounds and effcets to be very average. IRig created hum, the volume was low and as I said, clumsy knobs to turn to control functions that simply do not work well(sliders would be far mor effcetive). In short, dont waste your maoney, wait for version 20.Version: 2.2.1

Purchases go awayI bought the full version that includes all amps, which I believe costs $150. After a while it stopped working and IK Multimedia had me re-upload the app. After that my purchase of the complete version was not recognized and I could not access all amps. IK support told me to re-purchase and they would populate for free. A bit skeptical, I did not want to take a chance on losing another $150, so I tried to buy a “SVT pack” for $25; it did not repopulate but instead charged me another $25. Stay away from this app, unless you like to get ripped off AND have an app that does not work properly.Version: 4.14.2

Absolutely uselessThis app is a total waste of time. It just doesn't work. All you hear is a clean sound from your guitar. None of the controls on the included amp or effect make any difference whatsoever to the sound, not even the gain. The help is useless, just a catalogue of hundreds of pedals you can buy but nowhere do they bother to tell you how to get the basic thing to work. Rubbish..Version: 3.1.2

Recently gone to s#!+Not sure if it’s because I updated the app or updated to iOS16 on my phone or both, but in the last week or so this has become pretty much unusable (and it used to be great). 2 main issues: (1) terrible background buzzing and even worse distortion when playing. It’s definitely AmpliTube not my instrument setup as GarageBand is fine. (2) the tuner is hopeless: most of the time it doesn’t even register that a note is being played and on the intermittent occasions it does, it wanders all over the place: as with (1), GarageBand doesn’t do this so the problem is with this app not my instrument setup..Version: 4.14

Loss of recording data.I'm running amplitube on my new iphone 5S via Irig pro. I think this setup is brilliant for musicians on the move, the Irig not only allows me to use electric guitar with ace modelling, but also connect a pro condenser microphone so I can get top notch recordings of acoustic guitar and vocals. I love the user interface and quality of the apps audio processing. However, there is a BUG with this version. It appears to spuriously loose recorded audio data whenever the app is killed from iphone background apps. Come on Guys hurry up with a fix, this great tool is practically rendered useless if I am unable to trust it with my recordings..Version: 3.2

“Full version” came free would not pay for itFull version came “free” with my iRig, in all I am disappointed with what you get basically nothing extra. The pc included version with the irig is not even downloadable anymore. I think this is a bit of dishonest marketing, would have been better getting a USB sound card for the extra money and then buying some decent software. I would not recommend the irig HD 2 and this, at lest get the the next one up with combine. DI and XLR or a modelling amp with USB at a slightly higher cost. It sounds good but very limited selection of amps and effects. Having said that all theses types of software on iOS seem to have questionable marketing tactics..Version: 4.11.0

Does not workBought an iRig today, installed the app, and nothing but pure guitar silence in my headphones. Tried everything, replaced all cables, different guitar etc, and again silence. Taking iRig back tomorrow. If I can't get new one to work in store, I'm gonna spend my refund on advil, because this was a headache. If I could only have my wasted time back..Version: 0

Piece of sh**Hasn't been working. I'm playing it through Irig and my schecter Damien-7 elite. I go into setup and the input is going just fine but the output won't work no matter what I do. The metronome goes through fine, but I can only get my instruments sound to come through for a split second while toggling latency options. This app worked the first day I got it and has been nothing but a headache ever since. For those who haven't used it yet, you don't even get a distortion effect without jumping through some hoops. To get anything worthwhile you have to pay and don't even think about upgrading because you'll have to repurchase all your effects again. Bad effects, hidden prices, and barely ever works. Screw this, I'm just gonna play on my Marshall stack from now on.Version: 2.2.2

Crash. Crash again. Oh, and another crash...This may surprise you, but, I find this app crashes somewhat frequently. Also, it refuses to process the signal on occasions. I WAS going to purchase the full version. Not now. No. Good when it doesn't crash though. Which isn't that often. Shame..Version: 2.2

Poorly designed app, many popupsLast update 11 months ago, the app is still optimized for the iPhone 5, we’ve had plus sized phones for 4 years now this is ridiculous. There is no intuitive options to register your iRig and unlock features, not to mention every tab you click requires one or more $10+ in app purchases. Don’t waste your time guys either get an Apogee or use GarageBand..Version: 4.4.0

False adverting!Well its good to see that other buyers feel the same about ik as me. i recently purchased the in app hendrix bundle as directed on their website. To my surprise there were no presets. So i posted on their forum n a techie responded saying ya there will be an update.. of course after moving my post to an obscure category? after i question iks business practices he moved the dialogue to a private message n then he banned me from the forum. i did not rant or curse but simply said that this was wrong. i guess i am going to report them to apple because i find them very unprofessional n are damaging the integrity of the apple store. hopefully apple can convince them to improve their business practice merry xmas all.Version: 2.8.1

My two cents worth...I have to say it's disappointing to find that every second (or even more!!) press on a button in AmpliTube takes you to their store section where you need to purchase additional amps, mics, effects, looper yadaa yadaa....u get it. In fact the whole app seems to be designed around convincing you to spend more of your cash... IK needs to redesign it so your purchased section is completely separate to what you don't own. It's appears underhanded and gets in the way of a creative flow and just ends up annoying you. My recommendation is to avoid this in the first place if you're a serious musician (yes I know what I'm saying there about IK) because there are less annoying and/or frustrating purchases out there. I doubt I'm going to end up using this in iPad recording and I've already spent a fair amount on it..Version: 4.4.0

Major BugGreat app let down by a major bug when using the 4 track recorder. It fails to save projects rendering it completely useless. Total waste of 6 quid until it's sorted. Shame, as the effects and amp modelling are incredible..Version: 3.2

UselessI Tried to add songs to it but every time it crashes even when every other application is closed and the IRig isn't even attached. Its a shame thats probably the only thing that has stopped me from actually buying the app..Version: 2.9

Good Tone, Horrible UII know that Amplitube is all about accurate emulation. In that respect, it’s pretty good. However, as matter of personal taste, I absolutely loathe skeuomorphic interfaces, especially inconsistent ones. What possible place does a tape deck graphic have in a modern mobile app? It just takes up valuable space that could otherwise be used for, you know, actually putting in useful control surfaces. This is just one example. The developers clearly have conflicting goals: - Guitarists won’t buy our emulations unless it looks like the real-life gear they are used to using. So, all emulations get a skeuomorphic interface! Yay! And consistency be damned! - where it’s not an emulation, do something cute like a tape player; or console channel strips! Yeah. They’ll eat that right up! - Now, use the space left for modern buttons and stuff! It’ll be totally confusing! How do you adjust the metronome volume? You can’t, apparently, without knowing where the metronome signal is being routed; which seems to be nowhere. I blame boomers..Version: 4.13

AmplitubeJust found a major oversight on the programers behalf... Surely an iphone app as exspensive as this one should support the ipone music format. I find it annoying that everytime i put tunes on my iphone i have put both formats on my phone if i want to play along using the apps exspensive add ons and listen via ipod.. Weired if u as me... Please mention this in any reveiw u leave then maybe we might get an update that customers want....Version: 2.5

Don not waste your time and moneyI feel very ripped off after buying the irig plug in. Let me tell you why, well for starters, all the amps simulations are just not of any decent quality. I was actually stupid enough to buy the slash pack thinking that would be a lot better....alas... It is still a very poor quality add on. I only wish I knew about line 6 pod before I got sucked in by this app. Now line 6 mobile in is real quality sounds. And you don't have to pay for any other add ons after you purchase the mobile in. If only I could get a refund for the very poor quality irig :(.Version: 2.6

GET GARAGEBAND INSTEAD IT IS 1000x better!!The paid version of this is an absolute rip off. Buy the plug and download Apple's GarageBand. It has soo many amps and pedal effects for like 5 bucks!.Version: 2.2.2

Update sounds like blown speakerThis is the second update that didn't work , the one not so long ago rendered irig pro to the equivalent of a blown speaker , oh how I wish I did not update this hack . You can't tell me it wasent on purpose . You think I'm going to buy your new device only to have it hacked in a few years ? Nawww. Fix it and l will take this review down.Version: 4.14.3

False advertisement and annoyingIt is pretty annoying, prompting you repeatedly to sign up for a news letter or other promotions. The main issue is that it is advertised as coming free with irig if 2 but when you sign in you essentially just get garbage basic effects and the option to get “free distortion pedal” if you sign up for their news letter which I already said i didn’t want. The irig hd 2 is a fine product but I recommend getting Tonebridge in the App Store because it is leagues ahead of this app and is completely free. It doesn’t try to convince you to get ads to get what should already be included with the app..Version: 4.13

Problems with playback of trackGot the irig today seemed to work ok until I played a track to play to then the amp and distortion affected the track seemed like the track was routed thru the amp, when I tried a preset amp with delays on that affected the track too. Support is poor from this company. Get the free one to work properly then I might buy the full app.Version: 2.2.2

Good for jammingThere you go, this app is great if you just want to make some loops and play along. Most of the in app purchases are fair, and don't cost too much. The problem is the recorder, that thing is a piece of garbage. I say this because it isn't just a nice simple recorder which allows you to record songs. Instead it's a freaking monster. You only get one channel to work with and you aren't allowed to easily use your loopers while recording! That thing took 20$ from me. If you want to jam it is a good app. If you want to record go find a microphone..Version: 4.3.0

Drum Loops and LooperBought your expensive Drum Looper pack and Looper but they don’t work together and no description about it. You should have indicated that you can’t record Drum Loops with your Looper. I regret this purchase!.Version: 4.4.0

Issue when purchasing the ampsWhen I try to in app purchase restore fender collection 2 for AmpliTube CS iPad, it doesn’t restore it even though I have already bought it on my phone..Version: 4.9.1

Pay twice for both iPad and iPhone versions....why?The fact that I have to buy both versions is ridiculous! Same goes for the upgrades. The iRig is way over priced for something that feels like it might easily be broken and obviously only cost about $1.25 to make...a cheap plastic shell, a resistor, perhaps a capacitor and jacks....that's it! This is not a highly sophisticated piece of technology....yet it'll cost you over $40!! There are some things that are nice, but the sound is not exactly quality. Wish Line6 would come out with something similar. Nickel and dimeing the customer is not going to gain any friends...offer a pack of effects or include all of them with the full version. Obviously you need to address the looping error and fix it ASAP...would be nice to see IK at least acknowledge the fact that it exists and are working towards a solution. I have a feeling that I've been charged twice for the 4 track recorder...once on the free version and once for the paid version. What is with all the double charging IK?!?! Ill gladly update my review if it's not the case or you give owners of the iPhone version the iPad version as well..Version: 0

AlrightThis would be brilliant if you an mix 2 songs at once and whats with all these cost just make one package with everything in it and with the no voice thing it doesn't work with linkin park's Mike Shinoda's voice so you need to work on that so all this stuff you can get on virtual dj on the computer but nice try though so 3 stars because you can make this really great if you tried a little harder and not think all about the money.Version: 2.2.1

False AdvertisingI bought the irig2 for my iPhone 11. I am an Audio professional and this company should be ashamed. The download free apps QR code is a lie. It is supposed to come with amplitude but all you get is a free version with 0 content. Then, they say hey, you get a free amp, which you click download on, and it just brings you to the amplitude app in the store. This is a huge waste of money, and you do not get what is advertised. I searched for an hour on the website to no avail, and when I’m told I’m getting things by the pamphlet in the box the product came in, I should get those things. I registered the warranty and made an account 0 problems, and then when it comes to using amplitude the links don’t even work. It brought me to the iPad version when I’m using an iPhone, and not only that but as I mentioned, the free metal 150 amp download link does not give you the amp at all. Company should be sued lol..Version: 4.10.1

Customer Support? So I bought an iRig a few years back, was super excited to be able to get my hands on some of my favorite equipment in digital form. I got the paid version of AmpliTube and bought the Mesa Boogie pack and a cabinet and mic. A few months later my phone broke and I had to get a new one. When I redownloaded the app on my new phone, all my purchases were gone, and the “restore purchases” option didn’t work. I contacted customer support and they said they would look into it. I never heard back from them and haven’t been able to actually get someone to help me since. As a musician on the go, the ability to have great gear fit in my pocket is essential, and having my purchases not saved to my account seems like a really odd decision on the development side of things. I can’t afford to just turn around and fork out another $100-$150 to rebuy what I already purchased. Seems a little shady..Version: 4.14

Very badWhile I initially liked this app it’s gone to cr’p. Everything is distorted, playback is fast and distorted. I’m sorry I paid for the add ons. Was good, not anymore..Version: 4.14

UnusableI can’t even use the iRig now with newer style iPhones. Who wants to listen to that through iPhone speakers. Figure out how to add bluetooth..Version: 4.14.2

Unreliable and buggyApp sometimes works, but when you come back it doesn’t so you spend a bunch of time trying to get it going again. Along the way it repeatedly asks you to register again and enter serial numbers again for hardware. App forgets in-app purchases so what once worked now doesn’t. Never ending pop ups to purchase upgrades. I might have been able to give a decent rating but it’s just so annoying I can’t give anything but a complete fail..Version: 4.7.0

Rip off, no good, don't buyI do not recommend this. If anything, buy AmpliTube 4 (or download the hacked torrent version for free). It's far better, AT4 Jimi Hendrix is spot on. The iOS Jimi is so far off it's not even funny. If you tweak it, you can get close, but still off. Another reason for the low score is them cheating me out of money. I had bough separate packs (Jimi, Fender, Orange) and waited to get my iRig HD2 because it gives you a serial for free AmpliTube on iOS. The registration worked for my computer, but not my iPhone, so, no free upgrade (that they promised, bad service indeed). So, I bought the $50 all in pack to get everything (or so I thought). No Mesa Boogie and no tons of pedals, or mics, or loopers...... So I paid $50 when I could have just paid $20 to upgrade two more packs. No refunds, no freebies for ripping me off. I will no longer recommend this to others, but I do recommend downloading AmpliTube 4 for free as a cracked torrent. Have a nice day!.Version: 4.3.0

CrashCrashes more than an Asian driver. Would like to be able to stay in the app for more than 2 mins.Version: 2.2

Very Disappointing!I was so excited to purchase the iRig and start jamming on my iPhone 4, but after hooking it up I found that you cannot play along with your iTunes library. I knew that the app would not import from iTunes, but I assumed that iTunes could play in the background. I was Wrong!!! The only way to play along with music is to download a separate copy of each song into the app. On top of that, it is limited to 20 songs at a time. I can't even get through one long practice session without having to go back to the computer and swap out songs! Amplitube and the iRig would be a wonderful tool if not for this ridiculous flaw. Please fix this..Version: 0

Not badWorks well, sounds pretty good. After purchasing the irig why should we have to spend another $20 to get the full version...? WAY to steep.Version: 2.2.1

Poor customer serviceI've put a lot of money and trust into IK Multimedia products over the last year. Their customer service is disgusting and frankly, they don't deserve my money - or yours. Once you buy the Amplitube, they want extra money for absolutely everything and constantly bug you with hard sell tactics in the app. There's also no upgrade path from iphone to ipad, so you have to buy duplicates of all your plugins all over again!.Version: 2.2.1

Don't Waste Your Time !Read the forums to see common short falls. Bought the Fender Collection 2, and IPro I/O, just over $200, and after two days of screwing around, finally gave up. I put a shopping bag over my head, played a comb with tissue paper and got the same sound, and for reverb, used a bigger bag. Threw interface out, deleted "program " (thit!)! Going to music store to buy lousy SS amp and dirt box, and hopefully play, instead of listening to compost. Looks great on Internet, but then so does everything 😪! Take a PASS !.Version: 4.8.0

Lousy appsUnless you are willing to buy the full version, do not waist your time downloading it..Version: 4.14

Careful of In App Purchases !If you buy extra stomp box effects as In App purchases, then decide you want to buy the full version, you will have to buy all your In App purchases again! Other than this trap, it would be 5 stars..Version: 2.0.2

It’s ok...Works well for travelling where you can’t use an amplifier. I found that the amp effects drop out and I have to switch between amps to get them to work again. I also found that it will randomly and suddenly let out a deafening blast of static which is painful to the ears when using ear phones. It may be my settings but I doubt it. It’s a functional app but I’m not going to spend any more money on the expensive upgrades..Version: 4.4.0

Multitasking! We NEED multitasking for this, i need to use it along with iRealBook to make it really useful! I know you guys allowed multitasking for a while but then disabled it... Why ?? because too many stupid people found it too hard to turn it off? Why don't you make multitask an option in the setup menu then? I know you guys would sell a bunch of iRig if you allowed multitasking again! Thanks for listening IK!.Version: 2.0.1

Good app but very expensiveIf there was nothing else in the app store like this I'd give it 5 stars. However, having to buy most of the best features makes this way too expensive. I bought garage band for £3 instead which gave me loads of amps, effects and 8-track recording. You can also create pretty decent backings using the kits, bass etc included. No brainer - buy garage band..Version: 2.2.2

Only one problemUnable to access music on ipod. I have over 100 backing tracks and cannot use them through the Irig system. To use a backing/music track you have to download an mp3 from a wifi pc into the program itself, which can only hold around twenty. Yep I am greedy, I want access to all the music on my ipod phone/touch. Only one small flaw but enough to stop me ordering the complete rig, the rest of the app seems brilliant. If I am missing something about the music access, let me know and I will edit this post..Version: 0

Very Dissapointed (headphones issues) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Since i bought the irig it only worked until i choosed the speaker option instead of the headphones. It has given me nothing but headaches! I asked for help from them and they were not able to help me fix the problem. I tried everything they told me to try and nothing worked-i even bought a second one. I also bought some of their apps hoping it would help and because i was excited to use them, but i wasn't even able to try them. They later said there was no way to get the headphones option back once you choose the speaker option the first time. And the last time i spoke to them they said my phone was the problem. I'm very dissapointed and feel like it was a waste of money and not to mention my time!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE!!!!.Version: 2.2.2

Acceptable practice tool; Terrible LooperI think the sound (for all that I can hear w/ the "Free" version) is better than my iShred Live. Over all sound was less muffled at the expense of sounding more 'tinny' but clear. The UI is represented w/ a cleaner graphic w/ more sound options (cab, mic...) than the iShred Live. But as a practice tool, I need the looper to be more functional. Why is Amplitube not updated w/ ability to playback directly from the iPod library? And BTW, I'm using the Griffin cord (the one I bought when I began using iShred Live), so I don't want to be reminded each time I invoke this app to buy the iRig. My set-up worked just fine..Version: 0

You get what you pay for and lessNot a great app from a company that makes some great amp plugins for DAWs- but this is NOT great- the iRig interface is pretty flimsy- I don't see it lasting long- it flops all over the place and makes it difficult to work with from an ergonomic point of view- not worth the money they charge-there are definitely better interface devices out there for hooking up a guitar to an iPhone. The iPad and iPhone apps don't seem to be on parity in terms of features, and the fact that you have to pay for each platform really is LAME-This company claims to be so pro-musician- but this feels real sleazy. Also, I have to say the overall interface on the iPhone is cluttered, difficult to navigate, and cryptic- It does sound great, but I'm not that desperate to turn my phone & pad into an amp unless it really is easy to use- or economically fair- it's nice you can check out the free version, but i'll be looking for other options until IK gets this together. And I'll return the iRig to Full Compass next week and get my 30 bucks back.....Version: 2.0.1

Bass guitarIt’s would be great with a few more bass guitar options Also the package deals are mostly aimed at guitars I do love This app as I work away and enables me to practice I would just like some more bass options or features.Version: 4.9.1

Badly!!!Live mode works badly on iPhone 13.Version: 4.14

Built to for up-selling, not functionalityI'm a big fan of Amplitube and other IK Multimedia products. They sound great and are easy to use. Unfortunately, IK Multimedia fell short with this app attempt. Although the included features are fair, the app is designed around ease-of-use of the offered feature set, but for selling additional items. Rather than offer an in-app market place, Amplitube simply shows you missing spaces and if you accidently touch them it informs you that you are about to make a purchase and asks you to confirm. For example, in the recording application you are offered a single track for recording. If you touch the space of the missing tracks you are only one click away from an accidental, and expensive, app purchase. I was hoping this free version would inspire me to purchase Amplitube and provide a user friendly experience. Instead, it made me skeptical of any IK multimedia IOS offerings..Version: 2.0.2

Sorry but its awful. Wish i hadn't bothered buying iRigVery disappointing. Trying to record a slow song. At 55bpm the drums have this bizarre robot like tone almost like a synth. The amp seems to have stopped, adjusting gain etc has no effect. I'm looking for a way to restore all settings to factory but can't find it. It's the most fiddly difficult thing to use. I wasted money on the iRig. Only bought it for this useless app. Going back to recording the old fashioned way..Version: 3.2.1

I PAY MULTImediaUse GarageBand to jam. I wouldn't use this if you could import your own backing tracks into GBand. IK Multimedia always make you pay lots for everything and with a refusal to play with the other apps using audio copy and even a refusal to answer most of my emails and requests on the phone and lots of self ads you know they're more about marketing and money than about good software, which is a shame because they do make some good stuff. Please play nice IK.Version: 2.2.2

IrigJust got it. Not bad, not great, I would say it sounds better than a similar gadget i have. Why is there no volume if the gain is all the way down?? Why is the overall volume so low and why is there a "hiss" when volume and doodads are set at high?? I can not get my "free" distortion box, since i dont have wireless acess to register, fantastic! Had to upgrade the ipod software, which means i had to upgrade itunes. The process reset my ipod touch to factory settings, Way to go apple! Lost all my contacts, notes and calendar events! APPLE??????? P.S.: The software worked once, now when i click on it i get the loading screen, then it disappears. So, now i have to waste my life trying to fix it or return the irig hardware. Also on their website they claim:The free version includes 3 stompboxes Well one of the stompbox is a noise reduction, the other 2 are delay boxes, 2 of the same one. Wooopie!.Version: 0

Slightly worked and now not at allWhen I plugged it in first time, it worked but any changes I made on the effects didn't come through. I left it a couple of days and now gone back to it and now I can't hear the guitar at all. The tuner works and I can hear music through headphones connected to the iRig, but no guitar. Kind of the point. Waiting on support but will be asking for my money back soon..Version: 2.0.3

Good but too much noise. Please fix!!!I love the app but when I plug in and play there's too much noise in iPhone. Very creaky annoying noise. Happens even when I plug into my amp. Can not play live. Please fix!!!.Version: 4.0.1

Don’t buyI got the free version thankfully and found that I had about three amp settings and even less pedals. There wasn’t even a clean amp to choose from and each amp is around £5. I then downloaded GarageBand and it had countless options for free. If you’re willing to spend upwards of £50 on sounds, then still don’t get the app, buy real pedals instead because they will sound better for the same cost.Version: 4.5.2

DownhillThis definitely won’t go to 11.Version: 4.7.0

Sound distorted and erraticHELLO ANYONE IN YOUR COMPANY INTERESTED IN PAYING CUSTOMERS 🤷‍♂️ What has happened to the Apple app? Just attempted to use it and the sound is really distorted and the tempo keeps changing. Is this an IOS update issue? Is there a bug fix coming??? Frustration building STILL WAITING. WHAT A JOKE REGRET PAYING FOR THE APP UPGRADE MASSIVELY 😡.Version: 4.14

Switch your speaker off ?????????Great fun to use ,a little hard to navigate to the actual free app features due to ads etc , also there’s no STOP BUTTON so I ended up recording 10mins of nothing due to difficulties turning the speaker off. I like the app but it needs simple quick notions not a runabout.Version: 4.4.0

Buyer Beware! This is a fantastic app. It's very polished; it looks incredible, and it works exactly as it should. The effects are great, and the 8-track Mixer is a nice touch. I'd like to give it 5 stars, and indeed I would have…if not for their very questionable practices regarding in-app purchases. If you buy the free version, begin loading it up with in-app purchases such as effects pedals and/or the 8-track mixer, and then decide to upgrade it to the full, paid version…GOTCHA! You discover that IK Multimedia will not transfer your in-app purchases to the upgraded version. You are expected to buy all of those in-apps AGAIN! They do not connect your purchases with you, the user; instead they are tied to the app. Similarly, if you bought the app on your iPad to learn how to use it, and then want to use the smaller form-factor iPhone or iPod Touch to play the gig…GOTCHA again! They will not transfer your in-app purchases to your other devices either. I was so terribly disappointed to discover this unethical practice from a company that I was initially so excited about. Don't let their "Musicians first" slogan fool you; it's clearly money first. At the very least they should have written something about this in their descriptions, so we know what we're getting into. I hope this helps someone to avoid being unpleasantly surprised like I was. I really love the app…I just don't love this company anymore..Version: 2.6

Over 15 yearsI’ve used the Irig for over 15 years. I’m on my fourth one. My third Irig2. I also have an iLoud. Amplitude was my practice app. After a long hiatus I went to plug in and the app quits. I see a new app for $35. Ive already bought a drum pack, several amps. That’s around $700+ Ive spent. Why am I not grandfathered into the updates?.Version: 4.14

Won’t even load with iOS 15Worked well before I upgraded my iPhone to iOS15. Still works OK with iOS 12 on old iPad..Version: 4.12.0

Big BugWith high gain settings, any track that isn’t armed will be very trebly. The moment you arm a particular track, that recording won’t sound trebly anymore, but any other recorded track will. Especially apparent when with the master eq enabled with settings: High: Q: 0, Gain: 15, Freq: 20 Mid: Q: 0, Gain: 15, Freq: 20 Low: Q: 0, Gain: 05, Freq: 20 Yes, all the levels are in the green/yellow. Tested on iPhone X and iPad Air. Big deal breaker. Paid a lot to be able to use this app, and I can’t record music like this. Will be taking business elsewhere if it’s not fixed..Version: 4.4.0

REALLY BAD QUALITYThis has taken ages to load! It has still not fully loaded! I have read some reviews and they say it is bad quality. Just saying, I am not spending any money so maybe it will be even worse. I will probably end up deleting the app. We'll just wait and see..Version: 4.4.0

Paid £20 and still loads of ADDs!I bought this for my son and every time we try to edit our recordings it shows an add. We can see 2 or 3 adds in a few seconds of each other. Seriously all within 30seconds or so. Your ruining your own apps dudes! Cut out the adds when people have paid or at least only show on start up!!.Version: 4.4.0

BEWARE!!!!!!! Multi Track Recorder is RUBBISHThis app is fine as a stand alone guitar amp emulator. HOWEVER do not purchase the multi track recorder. It will not isolate the playback from what is being recorded. In other words every track that is playing is also routed back into the record track and it is a total mess., making it total useless as a multi track recorder. I contacted customer support and they gave me a BS answer that the input and head phone jack are too close on iPad. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH I use the i rig with garage band and it works flawlessly . I wish i had purchased garage band first and not this piece of junk. I have tried in vain to receive refund but to no avail. Save your money and buy garage band far better and has great amps in it also. AMPLITUDE IS RUBBISH AS A MULTI TRACK RECORDER BEWARE.Version: 2.9.6

Poor performance over allRecording performance is poor ... have to reinstall the app and the projects are lost afterwards which is absolutely annoying after paying a good bunch of money ..... total disappointed with this apmlitube.Version: 4.8.0

Not working on iphoneSince updating the iOS on the phone last October it doesn’t work properly. Imported songs are distorted and play too fast. I have asked a couple of times when this is going to be fixed but on the last occasion of asking I was just fobbed off. I would look elsewhere now if I were you. The features and functions are ok; especially the A - B playback allowing you to choose specific points to rehearse again and again but they need to fix the current inability to play to anything..Version: 4.14

Too expensive, no improvements, full of bugs and no supportI made the mistake to buy this app to then realise its full of bugs and lacks of very basic features. Customer support is very poor and there are no updates with any serious improvements. Current version doesn't work, app is completely unresponsive and support doesn't even respond to emails for weeks now. Waste of almost US$70 I paid, asked for a refund 2 days after with no results. BAD BAD BAD!!.Version: 4.1

IOS 15IOS 15 and this software don’t work. Just keeps crashing. Wish they would get on the ball and update this to work on the hardware they advertised it to work on. Needs to step up there game for such a large company. Very disappointed with my irig purchase.Version: 4.12.0

Absolute GARBAGE!Now I am not normally one to write reviews, but I just couldn't let this one go. This app is a total cash grab and even that would not be too bad if it was at all usable... Free is a little misleading as, in order to use the app, you have to purchase an adapter to plug your guitar in. (I wasted 40 bucks on one) Then, any functions but the bare bones minimum must be purchased as add-ons in app. (this could easily become a $100.00 app if you are not careful! The worst part of all is that the sound quality is complete crap... snapping and popping on songs imported to play along with, and terrible latency issues. Save your money and don't waste $45.00 on this "FREE" app like I did!.Version: 2.1

Almost a good appI downloaded the free version on my iPhone 6+. I was able to set up the app and use it with my guitar within just a few minutes. I was able to play the guitar through the phone just fine, but neither of the two stompboxes would change the sound, regardless of the settings. I did find a couple of issues pretty quickly. First, when you purchase an upgrade, to get ALL of what you paid for, you have to register the software with the vendor. Otherwise you won't get the distortion pedal, which I suspect everyone will want. Second, you have to plug everything in to the bottom of the iPhone. This software only works in portrait mode, so you can't use an iPhone stand with this software unless you can read sideways. This app is being deleted from my phone. Not a customer friendly company..Version: 4.0.3

CrashIt crashes at startup every time, as does the Fender free version unfortunately. My iRig arrives tomorrow, so hope this is fixed soon please....For info i have a 3G 8GB running OS 3.1.3. According to your website this is compatible, but it appears not.....hope you can fix it soon as looking forward to using this very much. Thanks. Sorry, one star for now......Version: 2.0.3

Absolute garbageThe money is wasted, they offer no support, I tried three times with ZERO response. The sound doesn't work and all of the "extras" make this anything but free!.Version: 2.2.2

Great app- needs to keep on top of iOS updatesI’ve just started to rely on AmpliTube. I didn’t think they’d let an iOS update break their GUI! Right now, with the iOS 16 update, AmpliTube is stuck in the portrait mode while in Live. The controls are mostly unavailable, and so none of the presets can be edited. IK should at least have someone test the iOS beta and make a warning announcement about update problems. I was able to use AmpliTube for my last gig, but was really limited. IK really needs to post an acknowledgment of the problem and a timeline to fix it!.Version: 4.14

DisappointingReally disappointed. Went and bought the i-rig and was all excited to use it. Downloaded the free version with all intentions of buying the full version. I read all the reviews about crashing but I figured maybe they had old iPods or bad luck. Nope. I got it work for a bit and was very disappointed with the limited effects. Specifically distortion (which you dont get until you register). So I figured I'd try some of the add ons but you have to buy them even before you can try them (the other apps at least give a sample). But worst of all...I couldn't even purchase any because the app keeps crashing. So I tried to work with app but keeps crashing. Was mad that I spent 40 bucks on the i-rig but the good news is that it works with jamup and ampkit. So my advice? Pass on this one until they get it fixed..Version: 2.9

IrigBought irig and it didn't work, no sound when connected to iphone3gs. Took back to store and waited two months for a replacement. Try new replacement irig still same problem. Nothing!:(.Version: 0

Somewhat below expectationsOk app. Drums loop are good for practice but be prepared to spend at least 60$+ to make it work properly and to be fun. Before buying a plug in, it should at least gives you some sort of snapshot of what you will get and give you a few samples of sounds. Now you are just dumb blind, if you realised after having paid that’s not what you wanted, well just too bad. Waaaaaay to expensive. Ridiculous. I will ask for a refund of a drum sample a bought. Pretty sure it will be a hassle to get my 7 bucks back..Version: 4.7.0

Good for a free version, Use iRig only!Register for the free Distortion Pedal to get more gain out of the amp. Also I just wanted to say that the Amplitube iRig sounds much better than the other cables I've tried from PRS and other companies. Don't use other cables or converters to connect your guitar or it will sound muddy and distorted. I haven't tried the AmpKit LiNK from Peavey but that looks like the only thing that even compares to the iRig, although I seen that unit in the store too and it looks much bulkier than the iRig from IK multimedia. I don't know why but the iRig is actually much smaller than it looks in photos..Version: 0

Waste of timeMade two trips to the apple store today for what I thought was a defective irig cable, but it's really just a defective app. Got the metronome to work but that was about all. After multiple unplugs / plugging back in (in various combinations), never got any sound from the guitar coming through. Back to the apple store tomorrow. Fool me twice...won't get fooled again.Version: 2.2.2

SketchyDefinitely some false advertising going on. I bought the iRig2 HD; this product advertises “Comes with AmpliTube 4 for IOS/MAC/PC”, yet AmpliTube 4 doesn’t exist on iPhone. What you actually get is a very stripped down version of AmpliTube CS, containing a very small selection of amps and stomp boxes. It feels like a trial version of their basic software. Buy this product if you want an interface for your mobile device but that’s it. The “bundled software” is surprisingly offensive in that it just serves as a way to make you buy the actual full version of the “included” software after making your initial purchase of the iRig HD2. Spent hours wondering where my copy of AmpliTube 4 was only to learn it doesn’t work on iPhone, despite it being for iOS. I have an iPhone XR btw. So yeah, a mobile interface with a demo version of a basic modeler..Version: 4.10.1

I was charged $9.99 for this "free" appAs soon as I downloaded this "free app," and clicked it on, it gave me the message, "Register now to unlock your free distortion pedal." I clicked register and it asked me to pay, so I didn't proceed. I was so upset by this company's sales technique, that I bought AmpKit instead. I really would have appreciated it if they would have given me the opportunity to compare first. Today I received a receipt from the Apple store with a charge for $9.99 for Amplitube FREE. If you think that I somehow purchased the more professeional unwittingly, let me tell you that when I start the app it still asks me to register so I can get the free pedal. I expect that Apple will give me a refund, but they need to fix this and soon. In the meantime, I would wait..Version: 0

TONEX?Is it possible to use TONEX pedal or amp like on pc? The possibilities of the app are nice. But it feels kinda old compared to TONEX app. Would be nice to get a small revamp! Could be nice to be able to sync favorite between mobile and pc too!.Version: 4.14.2

Good product - no customer serviceTried calling customer service with an issue and a couple questions. I got a recorded message on a loop saying to fill out the forms online and wait for them to contact me. I don’t spend time online and I’m not interested in filling out long forms and waiting days for a response. I felt with this issue with this company 2 years ago and go nowhere. Now I have another issue with something I downloaded in the past week and if I can’t get someone on the phone you might as well not have any customer service at all. No prompt customer service = no customer service. I grew up in a business. It did well because the customer service was top priority. Apparently that’s a lost sentiment anymore..Version: 4.14.1

HopelessCrashes often, slow to import songs. Recorder is a waste of time. Go GarageBand instead..Version: 2.9.5

Expensive!!!This is a great app.... However, it becomes very expensive when u start adding amps and effects to you basic kit... Especially if you want it on your iPad and iPhone because u have to purchase each add-on TWICE!!! C'mon guys... It's expensive enough a it is, without having to purchase items for each device!!!! I would have given it a much higher rating if purchases applied to iPad and iPhone together!.Version: 2.6

One of the most atrocious apps you will ever useI had been using amplitude with an iRig for a few years while living overseas. I recently downloaded it again, purchased the premium version & the looper and I have to say, this has to be one of the most atrocious apps I have ever used. The ui and functionality of this app is beyond a joke. It's so usable. There isn't much more to say than that. ... I've never encountered an app so bad that it deserves a raging review before. So please, save yourself the hassle and amplitude, have your ux & ui team sort this joke out. Cheers.Version: 4.1.1

Good demoNice new layout. Good cleans, sceptical on distortion tones ( not great for metal). In app perches' are glitchy, maybe due to recent update?.Version: 4.0
