✓ Not working remotelyI had this connected to a DSL system for three years and it worked flawlessly. I then switched to Xfinity simply for speed. It has been nothing but problems; not connecting remotely. I’ve been through three different modems with the same router from the DSL setup. There is a compatibility problem and TechnicalSupport has been weak at best. Would an update to the app solve this issue? Let’s hope so because I can see I’m not alone. Presently, I would not recommend the investment with their system..Version: 1.17
✓ Good but buggyThe app works well. It does what it needs to do (most of the time). Unfortunately, the Apple Watch app does not work unless you are using the phone app at the same time (making the watch app useless). Definitely needs a lot of work.Version: 1.17

✓ Problems Getting this to WorkThis app NEVER connects when I’m remote (away from home). It constantly spins like its trying to do something, but nothing. I have to actually close the app altogether because it will not even allow me to cancel. When I’m home (local) it’s still hit or miss on working. Very frustrated. The ability to set/control my alarm system when I’m away from home doesn’t work. Not feeling very secure at all! Glad I didn’t get all the other additions to this system!.Version: 1.17
✓ Unreliable unless IN MY HOUSE, and even when in my houseBought this system with new construction home. The app fails to connect reliably unless IN MY HOUSE! Kind of defeats the purpose. Thermostat stopped working and technician informed me I needed to toggle the switch on my furnace. Again kind of hard to do when not IN MY HOUSE. Big freezing risk in winter. ✓ Leviton/HAI is stuck to 1st generation on App designI am a home owner who is stuck with lots of older but stable home automation technology from the previous owner. Being an IT and tech savvy person, it was hilarious to see the level of app design principle followed by HAI/Leviton. It’s primitive. 5 clicks for one light on/off ridiculous. Leviton should also allow configuration/setup capabilities in the app like the contemporary such as HomeKit allows. I hope the $25 paid towards this app will go towards upgrading this app soon. Else this will get extinct soon..Version: 1.17
✓ Does HAI really care?The tough thing about working with HAI is that they really do not test or care about the iPhone and iPad app's. It takes them several versions to get it right. Most updates do not work as advertised and it can take weeks for a fix. Known problems are published for use. They are very frustrating. I have been with them a long time and wish I could use someone else, but there is too much invested in my home to change now. Update your apps with them at your own risk and have LOW expectations. Even 1.05 does not work right. Temps don't update, and now my iPad does not work at all. Thanks guys and girls of HAI, thanks again..Version: 1.05

✓ Very poor product!!!!!!!I bought this system with my new house being built and they told us we needed this app when we activate our system in order to use our apple devices to control functions thru our devices it has been a nightmare since we installed it. Yes it works when your in the house connected to wifi. But as soon as you start to drive away and activate the alarm it gives me an error of connection time out... Seriously I'm only 7houses away.... They need to fix this cuz I'm getting real frustrated with it. I would rate it a half star if I could but if you plan on buying this expensive system I would make them put it in writing that even the smallest issue you can think of will work..Version: 1.08
✓ Wifi issuesIf you live in canada and bell is your ISP then snap link won't wok with your router. There's an apparent conflict between the two. Leviton/hai are not planning on repairing it since according to Leviton it's a Bell issue. (You have to remove wifi to use it) Installing it is also a headache - Does not work in landscape mode, only works in portrait mode - Resets any time you wait more than 15 seconds while entering your key codes. App is also prone to jamming..Version: 1.08
✓ Temporary fix for Retrieve Setup errorI don't like crashes but HAI has responsive tech support. The app works well but could be more refined. They should do more with the "rooms" functionality. So a 3 star. They provided the following fix for when the Retrieve Setup function crashes - It worked on my iPad 2, Snaplink Mobile Ver 1.08 and an OPII controller with firmware 3.11B "in fact this is a known bug which we hope to have fixed in the next release [of Snaplink Mobile]. In the meantime we do have a workaround. Edit the account settings [on the iPad] and change the name of the account slightly, (remove/add one letter of the name) and save it. Now you should be able to retrieve setup completely. (you can change the name back to its original name now too)".Version: 1.08

✓ Work great but missing Audio + and -Just downloaded the APP to replace an old app I had from H@me that stopped working with IOS8. Everything looks great so far however in the Audio zone page, you're missing the + and - buttons which is needed to control the device, playlist (With IPOD), etc.. ✓ Events don't activity only nameThe event log in the latest version of snaplink doesn't show the alarm activity. This has been a problem that the folks at snaplink have been aware of for months and there is no ETA for a fix. Might be a good time to start converting my customers to Haiku (which I believe has much better reviews anyways).Version: 1.12
✓ Nice but hard to readJust updated and I find the lighter background very distracting and makes the words hard to read, especially on ipad in upper left corner where there is some white in the background. It conflicts with the white text on every page in that spot. Also the translucent light bulbs under control don't pop as much so it's hard at a glance to see whats on and off. I love the logos but wish the background could be changed or dimmed. Also under zones, the little lock icon is gone so now I cant see which zone is open or closed without reading every line. My OmniTouch screen died after only 5 years and no parts available- Lame. so now I will be using an iPad but the display on some areas is just so small. For instance the current outside temp on the home page. Does it have to be 8 inches to the right and in 12 point type? Can we get more items that used to be on the Omnitouch screens?.Version: 1.12

✓ Temps are not updating in 1.05, had to go back to 1.03It took me all night to narrow the problem down to the new 1.05 version. I uninstalled 1.05 and reinstalled it from the iTunes app store, only to find that the temperatures still weren't working. I had to go online and research how to fall back to a previous version, a BIG pain to figure out. I found 1.03 in my laptops recycle bin and had to play with everything in iTunes big time to figure out how to go back to 1.03, now all is well again. HAI has many fantastic products, but they need to work more on some things before they release them! ✓ JunkLet me see. Where to start? First there is a security problem because the switch that says "require a password" magically turns off. The thermostat display doesn't indicate if the hvac system is running. On units you can't set timers. Program often hangs. ✓ Buggy ApplicationPurchased this software today and have had nothing but troubles trying to get my settings to download. As an IT professional, I had no problem getting the software communicating with both my internal and external network connections. The issue is when you try to down load your system settings the transfer starts then the application just vanishes part way trough the download. After numerous attempts with this app I was finally successful in getting my settings installed on one of my iPads and an iPhone, both attached to my local wireless network. Access outside my network (i.e., Internet) still exhibits the same problem, download starts and then poof the app disappears. I also want to note that this problem occurred both before and after I upgraded to IOS 6.1. For being a pricey application I would expect far better from HAI. Recommend holding off buying this app until it's fixed..Version: 1.08
✓ Crappiest App ever!This is a $25 rip-off. I think the alarm systems have no options but to use this crappy stuff. It is ok as an app for integrators and installers but for home owners it is the crappiest app ever! I too bought it as I have no options, but not getting a notification tells you that they want you to get remote monitoring service. ✓ Completely unusable on iPadThe older version, while certainly not attractive, at least worked for the most part. I used to have to manually force it to close to refresh but usually worked. This latest version does NOT WORK ON THE iIPad. I won't even bother to go into what a completely useless port this iPad version is, I much preferred the older iPhone version that simply doubled in size. ✓ BuggySeems to be able to control most items but does not give proper feedback on iphone. Testing in house I could control lights, temp, alarm, etc. but iphone never showed actual status of devices. Example - standing in bedroom I could control the on/off/dimm of bedroom lights with iphone and could visually see the lights chaning in the room. However, the iphone app showed that the lights were off the entire time. Also had problem with alarm (which is really a showstopper) - I could set alarm and disarm alarm (and while in house could see the state changing) but iphone app showed the alarm off continuously (even after waiting several minutes to allow for a possible time lag - there was little to no lag in the actual control button on iphone changing the state of the device but the true state of the device is not registered on iphone). Temp was even more problematic from a control standpoint in that it always read "O". Not sure if there is a firm ware dependence here or not. But 2 stars is best I could give it and it probably should only have 1 given it may be more of a problem than a help if you are truly remote and can't see what is actually taking place at your home..Version: 0

✓ Cab be flakey but sometimes worksSo far the app has been a little flakey - not always connecting well, not filling in all the status fields - but overall it gets he job done. There are some other weird behaviors such as when you have codes enabled and cancel because you made a typo - it goes back to the splash screen and just hangs there. A conspiracy theorist might suspect they don't want it to be too good and cannibalize their wireless omnitouch pads, but I'm hoping it is just 1.0 product bugs/lack of polish. Update: After using it a few more days I need to amend my review. It crashes a lot. It just took 4 attempts to simply arm the system, and this is not the first time..Version: 0
✓ Needs an updateAgree with previous reviews that this app needs an update. It does not work with the latest IPad IOS software. It needs to also be able to change programs on the thermostat module. Currently, it can only move the temp up or down until your next program step which will reset temp. Security module does what it needs, but would like the ability to clear alerts from system. Cameras need to be IP type cameras and thus most older home cameras won't work. With an update, this will replace the snaplink thumb drive..Version: 1.02

✓ Small issues keep this from being 5⭐️I've been an HAI (now Leviton) customer since late 2005. I am a big fan. I had two OmniTouch controllers in the house which were starting to act up. I opted to replace them with iPad Minis. At first blush the apps looked and worked great. After doing additional probing as to the functionality of the app I found that the screen to control the temps is cut off at the bottom when in landscape mode. I know the app was optI mixed for iPhone 5 (in portrait mode) BUT IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE ID THEY COULD ADDRESS THIS MINOR ISSUE to extend functionality to the iPad and other tablets when in Landscape configuration. I've been forced to use Haiku app which does a nice job, but it doesn't seem as elegant as SnapLink..Version: 1.12
