✓ Extremely usefulThis product is good, not great (yet). Only supports .txt files so far, or anything that you can copy and paste into the document. Talked to the developer about this issue, great response time, prompt service. The plan is to fully be able to incorporate pages and other word processing formats, it's just not there yet. Once that happens I will change this from a four star to a five star review. An absolute must for anyone who does any sort of presenting. The voice recorder is also good quality and provides another great resource. Nothing better out there, saves time and money in not always having to print up a presentation..Version: 0
✓ Awesome appI do a lot of public speaking and often have to give speeches of 10+ minutes without a PowerPoint or slideshow to guide me through. I relied on typing a one page cheat sheet, or index cards until I found this app. Now, I carry my phone to the podium and glance at it, as it scrolls. It has been awesome to keep me on pace, as I am often set for a time that had to be kept. The topics are so important I don't want to miss anything - and the app has a timer, scroll speed you can set, and even allows you to highlight text to add things that may go on with the audio visual and media as you speak. I will be using this app for all my longer speeches. I had the free version and the one without advertisements is honestly worth it. Thanks, Prompster 😉👍.Version: 2.6
✓ Great app! Minor issueI use this app all the time. I don't know what I would do without it. I have tried other prompter apps and non are as good. It excels! The one bad comment I have about the app is the need to hook it to iTunes to get recordings off. How about Dropbox, iCloud, even airdrop to get recordings off. I back up my phone to the iCloud and hooking up to iTunes always irritates me..Version: 3.0

✓ It's really goodWow.....kind of nice to be able to write a good review.....for a change!!! This program is really useful. At first I was hesitant because of the cost but that has been quickly overcome. It's a simple program and does exactly what it says. You type in your presentation and then hit prompters button and you are good to go. I love that you can move through your speech manually or automatically(you have plenty of timing adjustments you can pick from based upon how fast or slow you want to proceed). I love how it blacks out everything and just leaves the words you want up as you go. It also automatically keeps the iPad turned on, so there are no surprised turn offs, leaving you stranded in the middle of your presentation. ✓ Very good & useful, needs small tweaksI make training videos for a living, and this helps a lot with the on-camera portions. Using iTunes, I import scripts from the PC into Prompster. And the app is intuitive; it has a low learning curve and I didn't need a manual. Still, it needs a few tweaks to be even better: • Import multiple files at once. I had 20 files and it was tedious to import them one-at-a-time. • Delete multiple files at once. • Allow custom, default settings for font size and speed. The app always defaults to text that's too small and too slow. • Support an extended character set. Single and double quotes don't import properly, so I have to remember to convert them to foot and inch marks before importing..Version: 1.6
✓ Now a 5 Star App!First off adding a recorder was brilliant and unexpected. Second the scrolling is smoother and the buttons are more responsive. ✓ Almost perfectA terrific app for presentations & class lectures. I use it all the time. But I would completely love it if users had the ability to organize presentations (I have a lot of them), create folders, and move items around. ✓ Great App for any public speaking requirementI have used this app while being involved with toastmasters as well as for other public speaking duties including presenting eulogies at funerals. The function to match the speed of the presentation with the scrolling speed and to easily make adjustments on the fly is by far an easier option than using paper based notes. ✓ App UserI purchased this app about a six months ago. When I downloaded Applie iOS 8.0.2 recently, the app would no longer work. I contacted Paragoni and received a response back in a few hours that an update was soon to be available. Indeed, in a few days the update was available. The app now works again. ✓ Solid app, one lingering problemThe app is as elegant and effective as suggested by both the pics above and the other reviews. I have encountered one problem. In speech mode, when the text which is approximately one screen-ful from the end comes into view, the text will jump back to the beginning, without allowing me to read the very end. My solution was to create a placeholder text that forced the speech mode to continue scrolling. I have notified the developer of the issue. A feature suggestion: cue marks that will allow a speaker to move quickly to different sections, or reorganize on-the-fly during the speech. Finally be aware that there is now an LE version of this app. It seems to be identical to this app, except that it lacks the audio recorder. So if you don't need that, for about half-price, it is an excellent deal..Version: 0

✓ Great app & great supportI have been using this app for a few years and find it simple to use and extremely convenient. When students couldn't remember their lines, we attached to a projector and displayed the lines on the wall behind the audience. We had a videographer come to tape students giving speeches, he wanted the text reversed to work with his fancy system and to my surprise, it was a new feature. I contacted customer support and Dante was extremely helpful and willing to answer my silly questions. I highly recommend Prompster Pro..Version: 3.0

✓ Solid App and Positive User ExperienceI bought Promptster in a pinch for a video shoot, but realized it wasn't what I needed. The user interface was very nice and easy to work with, but I didn't realize that it didn't work with a mirrored display and I couldn't control it with another iOS device via Bluetooth. I contacted one of the support staff, mentioned the issues, and had a very good experience while dealing with them. They mentioned these features could possibly be in a future update. I'd seriously recommend the app for speakers and prosumer video production applications..Version: 1.6
✓ A Rosy Future already achieved - yet may still be unfolding!Hi folk, I have just purchased this app and am immediately impressed by its interface which is both attractive and well thought out with the controls being easily to hand and sensibly placed. I uploaded a file from my Mac at the first attempt following the very clear instructions on the iPad's app screen. Presently the display for prompting is white text on black, is crystal clear and can be changed for font, text size and device orientation without distorting or losing the scrolling text. The Stop/Start button also acts as a Pause control when reading. The voice recording and playback options of spoken text also worked well first time tried - once the sequence of buttons are fully understood as to what each activates and when. I have a lot of hanging indents on word processing rtf files and could see these posing problems with all the text becoming left aligned. However, I have a macro within the word processing programme which replaces the hanging indents and the word wraps with the pre-insertion of blank spaces across each horizontal line up to the positioning of the hanging indent. This is of great use in ensuring pages for html display on a scrolling website page retain for display their desired horizontal start position on lines. It also works extremely well for generating formatted ePub books. eBook Reader - I know it is not intended for this - but I can see a future for it in this additional use as a lot of eBook readers do not auto-scroll the text. I have already uploaded a section of an ePub book and it works fine for reading with auto-scrolling text. All I had to do was convert the ePub book to a text file - AND it displayed the text in the original quite complex horizontal formatting of the line which also enabled vertical alignment to also be accurately obtained over varying numbers of lines of text. (See section above on preinserting blank spaces into horizontal lines.) Downs - There is presently not an option to change background colour, tone, or intensity of colour. It may well be desirable to have, say grey tones or pale yellows or cream colours with grey or darkish green tones of text etc for easier reading under bedside light illumination or in a darkened auditorium for multimedia presentations which may be significant in avoiding eye strain through high contrast text. Congratulations to the authors. This start augurs well for the future of this app. I wonder what its future holds and may unfold..Version: 1.6
✓ A perfect fitI occasionally preach at my church and I was looking for a teleprompter type app to scroll my sermon. I tried the free version and it was satisfactory for me, so I bought Prompster Pro. I have since recommended it many times over to colleagues. Though the app can record both video and audio, I find myself using only the basic teleprompting, though it's good to have those features there. The biggest win, however, is importing of files from Dropbox. I can then practice my sermon, go in and edit it within the app, and from there press prompt and away I go. I don't use the app every week, but when I do, it's mission critical. Also, I emailed the developer about a crash when I updated to iOS 8 and he was "Johnny-on-the-spot" and very cordial. ✓ This could be made great for musiciansI'm giving it 5 stars for the app type, but I'm begging the developer to make some (probably complicated, I know) changes to make this the IDEAL music display. You're bringing in speakers now, but musicians need something similar and there are LOTS of us. First, add the ability to display .jpg graphic files or PDF files in a scrolling stream like the prompter. Music charts would look great scrolling up at the right speed. Works okay now for tabs or chords, but I dream of scrolling full notation. Add a sturdy foot pedal allowing tap/double-tap to increase/decrease speed. Speakers might like this as well. Less obtrusive than looking down and finding the slow button. Add another 10 speed levels. Some songs are fast and heavily notated. Like I said, I'm begging, devs. The only app I can find close to what I describe seems to be blackmail-ware that wants an arm and a leg to use my *own* documents. ✓ Great App and SimpleI checked out alot of the others and found that yes there are some features that they have but overall, it's too klumzy and komplicated. When standing in front of people, you need to know the thing is going to work and you don't need to go through a manual to prep yourself on how to use it live. Tap start and shift the size or speed if necessary. Tap the screen, pause it, tap again to start it. OOPs went to far. touch it and pull it back or forward. etc. The developer is listening and gets back to you quick. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to leave the papers alone and use the ipad. The ability to use it as an all in one app is great. ✓ Excellent, delivers as promised with supportI read the prior reviews, and was concerned regarding support and performance. Having now used this app extensively for several days I can attest it is solid and performs as promised. I did have a problem, which was easily resolved after a very prompt return of my request for support. I won't repeat the features that are promised: just know they all work as promised. My one problem was when recording a short promo, the video recording would stop before I completed my script. Within 24 hours I received a response suggesting that the script might be so short, it reached the end of the school and automatically stop recording. This was the case, I simply added some white space at the bottom of my script, and it worked flawlessly..Version: 2.1

✓ WonderfulAs a teacher, I've used teleprompters on the Mac for news broadcasts and to test students' fluency. Now that Prompster has added audio recording, I'm in heaven. Works wonderfully. Now I can give my iPad to a student with a passage, have them practice, and I can go back and listen to their progress (I can also email recordings to parents). ✓ Good App, great with a few changesI have used a few Mac based prompting programs. Prompster is clean, simple and straightforward. A few important changes could make it great! 1. When switching between editor and prompter, return to where you left off. The screen scrolling is sluggish and takes a long time to reach your previous place. 2. Speed button resets to one after each return to the editor. The speed button is very small and not that responsive to the touch. 3. Allow for editing within the prompter. This would solve the first two problems and make this a great app. All in all, this is a square deal for a useful app..Version: 0
✓ OwnerPrompster is perfect for my presentations! I am able to easily import my text documents and format them into elegant, easy to read scripts. Prompster has smooth, variable speed scrolling and can be stopped with a touch or I can quickly jump back or ahead manually. But what has made me a "one man multimedia machine" is the ability to run Prompster, iPod, and a projected Keynote slideshow simultaneously and flick from one app to another. This enables me to read from a scrolling script in Prompster, then flick to stop an iPod track, or advance to another slide in Keynote, and then flick back to my script where Prompster has paused the scrolling where I left off to go to the other apps. I give an A+ to Prompster. Also to customer support because they responded to my questions and concerns immediately. And I'm as tough a critic as some of the audiences I address while using Prompster. There are other features like recording your presentations which I haven't needed to use yet, but it's a very robust app especially for the price..Version: 1.4
✓ Great For Public SpeakingI speak in front of people several times a week. After trying several others, this has been my go to app. The app itself is very easy to use. It will scroll your script automatically for you, or allow you to go at your own pace. It is very easy to adjust on the fly. It is very simple to make the print larger or smaller. It is very easy to enter the text into the app as well. It will easily back up to Dropbox and back up through email. I would love to see Google Drive added, but that is just my preference! I highly recommend this app and have loved it for a long time! The support is very approachable and do respond promptly when needed!.Version: 2.2
✓ Good start, but needs more...My wish list would include ability to import more than txt file, like .pdf and Word files and Pages files. Also, ability to choose background and text colors, i.e., black on white, black on green, blue on white, etc. and maybe add a brightness selector for dimly or brightly lit rooms. Also, the timer(s) need to be larger, give the ability to choose timer size, just like font size.
