✓ Bo NorganTried every free app for yardages, none met my standard. This allowed me to drop pins to distances and have an aerial view, it is as accurate or more accurate than yardage markers on two ranges, my home course- and I've tested it thoroughly. LEARN THE features. Tech savvy will love this, golfers of all ages who just want to know if it's "about" 260 to carry or is it 264(?) will love it. MUST BUY IMO..Version: 5.5

✓ Great Discovery!It may be an old app, but I've never tried it before, and I like it! I walk my dog every day, and it's great to know how far we've been. Also, when hiking, I like to map the distance BEFORE I go so that I'm sure my short little dog can make it that far. ✓ *This app does pretty much want I want for planning bicycle rides. I do wish there was a little extra space around the pin drop icon - It could be just me, but I frequently hit the book marked location icon by accident; surely the pin drop has to be most used and deserves a bit more real estate. Also I'd like to be able to save routes, with their total mileages. Actually it would be great to show the pin to pin distances right on the route. So, thanks for a useful app; just do what I ask and it will be perfect!.Version: 5.7
✓ Great for a road trip.This app worked perfectly for my needs when planning a road trip from L.A. to Los Cabos in México. It help me calculate very accurate distances between cities and the small towns I stopped at for food, rest and fuel. By the end of the trip I was glad to see that the margin of error of my iPhone was very very minimal, and my gasoline consumption calculations were pretty accurate too. Good job. I've gotten so used to it and how simple it is that I don't use the specialized golf apps even on courses that are available to them now. ✓ Give the app it's dueFirst you CAN do start an stop. Not sure if an update made it possible but you can. I took my tape measure and metered out 50 and 100 ft from my mailbox. This app NAILED the exact distances. VERY cool, accurate and worth the price. If you're thinking about getting a distance app, save your time, bite the bullet and buy this. ✓ LOVE IT!As a hunter, this is a great app to have to find distance as well as saving locations for future hunts. GPS uses google maps with the added plus of being able to drop more than one pin. ✓ Almost ThereLooks good initially. I wish the American devs would cater for the UK market by allowing UK spellings to be selected. I use metres and kilometres a lot and cannot abide reading the word as meters!! I have one of those under the stairs to measure gas usage! Perhaps the ability to see distances in kms and miles and other selectable units simultaneously would be useful rather than constantly having to change units in the settings. Give us more selectable choices and options please devs! Otherwise a useful app for point to point measuring..Version: 5.5

✓ Great sniper toolThis is an outstanding application. I use this to confirm ranging estimates as a LE sniper and it works great. I especially love the point to point distance feature for days when GPS reception is poor. Though I don't encourage anyone applying this tool in tactical precision marksmanship to use it as your sole ranging tool, it is an excellent tool for confirming your other methods of ranging you applied. I had just gone for a run, imagining my gps enabled app had logged my route and distance, but alas... something went wrong, and nothing was logged. I could go on the laptop and look up google maps and place pins, but this app is so much more convenient, and the touchscreen is far easier to use for zooming, scrolling, and pin placement than a laptop's touchpad. (better yet, this app seems much more accurate than my gps mainstay, runkeeper.) as another reviewer observed, it's better than a phone's gps for preserving battery life, too. Intuitive interface. (a couple of quick timesavers when you begin - I recommend going directly to settings when you start using this to select your unit of choice. miles is not default; I believe it was meters. and- if you're using it for the same purpose as I - selecting total distance, as that isn't default either!).Version: 5.4

✓ PerfectionI never comment on Apps but I was in real need and this one was perfect. So far it does exactly what I need. Set a point, drop pins on a route and total the distance plus tell how far from the start point through various means of distance (ft, km, yds, miles, etc).
