✓ Not to my satisfaction at allI am looking for a free, text recognition app that one can use with a finger or stylus like another one used to be and I can't seem to find one!.Version: 2.05

✓ Limited function on iphoneDoes it work? Yes. Demo only records 10min at 5Mb (compression not as good as Livescribe). I find the iphone too small to type quickly and accurately, and the awful spell check / correction feature makes things worse in this app which results in recorded audio that doesn't always match typed notes. Using this on an ipad would be more functional due to the bigger keyboard and decent space to draw a diagram. The files are saved as RTFD which is useless for PC. Would be better if it saved PDF with synced audio, or a feature to convert the RTFD file to text and MP3. What's the point of having all these recordings in your phone - it's going to be very hard to find and manage hundreds of notes after a while. There's nothing else (yet) that does anything similar on an iPhone\iPad. For now i'll stick to Livescribe (which has it's own pros and cons)..Version: 0
✓ Instable on iOS 5Is it due to iOS 5 or to the application but every time I try to use the drawing pen, I get a black screen and I have to restart the app. On the other hand sound to text synching is good. Promising idea..Version: 2.05

✓ Not good for studentsI'm a medical student that relies heavily on powerpoint slides and recordings. I bought the full version for my MacBook which I used to record the first few lectures. I was pleased with the app until I tried to review the same notes using audionote for iPad. All my drawings and notes were no longer aligned making them impossible to read. Since the app only allows you to save it as an audionote it's very disappointing when audionote can not be used to review that same file!.Version: 4.0.3
✓ Very goodThis is a great app. I use it for all my classes and I love how I can sync the audio and written notes with the exact time it was recorded. I just wish audionote added a feature for bullet points and a folder to organize notes by subject, like some of the other apps do. But otherwise it's very good..Version: 3.2.0
✓ Works decently, way cheaper than LiveScribe but apparent bugI was looking for an app that would enable me to use the iPad instead of investing in a LiveScribe pen and expensive paper option that would record audio while taking notes. This app seems to fit the bill. Even though I have to say despite not having the best handwriting, writing on the tablet even with the stylus is a far cry from writing on paper. Having said that I also found a strange bug in the app. If you click on the Folders button and click Edit (which is where you would select notes to delete etc.), if you happen to tap the Folders button again it basically grays out the whole app screen and you cannot get back into it. The only option seems to be to press the iPad button to exit to the system and force quit the app and relaunch it. Try it out. Glad I tried the free lite version before spending $5 on the full version, which I am likely to buy if these minor annoyances are fixed. But those moaning about the recording time limits on a free version, try yourself developing an app that does something like this and give it away free, then complain. Those who expected it to transcribe dictation, consider reading descriptions before buying an app. Thanks..Version: 2.08.1

✓ Great idea, not so efficientThe app is great. It provides support to audio, typed, and hand-written notes, all together. The idea behind it is very smart, yet I am still not convinced it could be "the app" for note-taking for two main reasons: 1) There is no zoom mode for hand writing. That makes hand writing an uncomfortable task and out of proportion if compared with typed sentences. 2) Sharing files is possible between the app users only. There is no general file formate that could be viewed out of the app..Version: 4.2.2
✓ Not quite right yetI have used a few "handwriting on your iPad" apps- my current fav is ghostwriter - and I've been really impressed with the improvements apps have made over the past 6 months - my handwriting is now legible in some of these other apps. I was looking for an app that I could connect my audio with my handwritten notes, sort of like live scribe. This isn't there yet. I'll be going back to my microsoft word + audio recording until this gets a bit better. I would give it 2 starts, but it gets an extra star for letting me try it for free, even at the reduced functionality.Version: 2.05
✓ Careful before blindly relyingI literally loved the app and trusted it so much. I have the full version too. But after hours of work on it, it crashes on me everyday. I continued to trust, like an idiot. I literally have to study all day from my work on that app and I'm doomed if when can't access my work. It's like getting an heart attack every time it crashes , then says loading then crashes again. Besides the stress the time I've spent figuring this out is priceless. This is just a warning. If your life and your future career relies on this app, you don't want to go through what I've been through..Version: 3.2.0

✓ It's OK, but nothing stellarThe ink note taking is rudimentary at best, with no obvious ability to change the width of the ink or anything else. It's pretty apparent that it's not optimized for the Apple Pencil either. I like the fact you can replay the recording and see what was typed or inked, but don't like the fact it doesn't start the playback with a blank canvas, instead it just highlights the ink or text in blue. Also, there's no obvious way to highlight ink, just text..Version: 5.3

✓ Not too sure about thisUsing my iPad2 I downloaded the Lite version. Without too many instructions I tried playing with it, tapping this that and erasing and recovering. Several times the application just shut down and I needed to restart. Once it froze entirely and I needed to power down my iPad and restart the app. I did not lose the text and drawings I had input. I can't afford to have to do that in the middle of a lecture. It works fine most of the time but I am wary..Version: 2.07.3

✓ Not for auto-creating/auto-capturing notesI thought this app was for creating notes for you based on what is spoken/recorded. This app does not capture text for you but allows you to takes notes while recording audio. Then you can go back and review the audio and edit the notes. Not what I was looking for in terms of saving time for jotting down notes just by voice recordings. Without automation, the only feature/convenience this app provides is being able to hit record on the same same screen you take notes on..Version: 2.08.1
✓ Not BadIt's almost what I need. It's good I can email the file I guess but I would rather be able to open the audio file in another app or be able to export it to facebook or Tumblr. ✓ Good appI love the app thus far however I am having one problem. When I click on the highlighter to highlight something and then switch back over to the text view to type...the words that I highlighted are messed up. It may have highlighted one sentence up or down but NOT where I originally highlighted. Im not sure if this is a glitch or what but that is the ONLY thing keeping me from purchasing the FULL version. ✓ Promising ideaLooks good. I love the idea of being able to use my iPad to achieve what can be done with the Livescribe Smartpen. But the note-taking side of the app needs some more features to be used as a serious all-purpose note taker. A zoom window for handwriting is essential. The ability to change line width would be nice, and quick pen-size and colour selection. And an export to PDF with integration with DropBox or other apps like Goodreader..Version: 2.08.1
✓ Page doesn't scoll upOkay I love this app but there's a bug that if you reach to the bottom of the page, your typing would hid under the keyboard & that is annoying. Have to exit the keyboard to scroll up the page. Also if the pen writing mode is as good as sketchbook then I would give this a perfect 5 J.Version: 2.05
