✓ A great app with huge potential after some improvements.This has the potential to fill the gap left by the great Readmill and then some - an ebook reader loved by users and praised by designers. It has a superb accompanying web service. It allows you to upload your own books as well as buy new ones. User numbers are growing. But it's still not there. Design-wise its great, but without an option to let users download the books they've uploaded to the service it's a loss. We own our data. We put it on your servers. We should be able to get it back if we need it. Then the number of books available on the online store is not as exhaustive as one could hope. Many bestsellers are missing, not to mention business and textbooks. It could be great if the more pressing matters are ironed out. Maybe in the future they could add a speedreading option too and absolutely own the ebook reader space. I'll keep an eye on it..Version: 4.1.2

I've recently been on a reading spree (not that I've applied for premium) Bookmate is just an app which I use for finding the best books (in my perspective) And yep, you do have to pay to read some of the books. ✓ Five stars so hopefully others see thisThis app is a scam. It’s malicious, and it’s sketchy as heck. When I signed up for the free trial, (DO NOT DO) it wouldn’t let me turn it off, but rather kept giving me different payment options. The only way I was able to get the subscription off was to delete the app and come back in. It’s scary, it’s not right. And the downloading of books always comes with viruses. I don’t recommend using this app, something isn’t safe about it..Version: 8.8.1
✓ Great appI was able to find literally any book I wanted. Simple, intuitive interface. Wry well made. 2 weaknesses I'd still mention: - no iPad support. Surely, would it take so long to port to iPad from iPhone? - translated books miss words, punctuation, and often not really well made.
