IGigBook Sheet Music Manager X for Positive User Reviews

Great for finding versions of tunesYou, the user, have to provide the fake books in PDF format. IGigBook provides indexes to most of the commonly used books. You can add your own books and indexes. The search function finds every version of the tune you are looking for so it's easy to compare them. I love this app and would hate to be without it..Version: 4.7

A great way to organise your Real and Fake BooksOnce I understood the premise underlying this app it just made perfect sense and worked precisely as it claimed that it would. Import the electronic versions of your real and fake books giving each the file names that the app recognises and the app does the rest. Once imported you can search for particular song titles and create customised set lists. I haven't explored the app's full potential but that which I have used of it works well and is effective..Version: 5.1

IGigBook is awesome! If you are a jazz musician — either actively gigging, or attending jam sessions — if you don’t have iGigBook, you NEED it. Indexes allow easy and quick song callup. Search my song name or composer! No more fumbling with stacks of books. Easy to make set lists. Highly recommended..Version: 6.0.4

Great App and conceptOnce I figure it out it’s gonna be fantastic.Version: 7.1.1

Paul mahonExcellent app can't moan about the price - which is considerably less than the price of one real book. Mismatched pages can easily be fixed by removing the blank pages some people include when creating the PDF- the app only works as well as the PDF s you give it! Set list is a really handy feature, page turning is a breeze , tap top /bottom of screen to go back/forwards. The book index is a little clunky to edit but is pretty comprehensive - pleasantly surprised to find the pat metheny songbook on there! Really big advantage over ireal app is having the dots there rather than just a set of changes - a must when its an unfamiliar tune - or you need to play the head! All in all the best there is out there at mo!.Version: 1.76

Brilliant and uniqueThere are other apps that organise music scores, but this is unique in its index system. How it works not always immediately apparent, but well worth persevering in order to have easy access to your scores and the charts within. Plenty of help and support if problems arise. Cost of the app almost irrelevant - I know people who buy the iPad just for this!.Version: 4.9.1

Great tool and app for musicians. No more carrying around a big heavy slow book of charts and music. Easy access to all your charts and onstage use is wonderful. Send sets and songs to other members of the band and no confusion and saves time. Highly recommend this app to all who play am instrument and perform live on stage with the ease of all your music at a swipe of your finger ..... A must app for all musicians. Peter P.Version: 1.61

Best way to view common fake booksIn the old days, I would bring eight different real books to a gig, in a shoulder bag weighing 10 to 15 pounds. No more. Now I can carry 30 in a single iPad. IGigBook features indexes to the most common fake books, which allows for a quick search of song titles. So no more thumbing through pages to try to find a song. That, plus the ability to quickly generate playlists and share them,Make it an in valuable tool to any working jazz musician..Version: 7.6

IGigBookI've been looking for something like this for a while and you've come up with a great app!!..works really well ...got to tweak it a little when syncing certain books....would be usefull to have a page delete to help with this as I seem to have blank pages in some of my editions...Excellent app !!..thank you ...simonparkinsonmusic.Version: 1.83

Very goodReally useful software for the Gigging musician especially if you're into jazz and the standards. You do have to source your own pdfs of the Real and Fake books. And not all are properly mapped. However, it's great having loads of music to hand. Key changing is easy on chord sheets. Changing key on scores isn't possible as far as I am aware. This would be useful in future. Page turning via the iPhone app is a bit difficult to use, it might be better if the iPad camera could be used like Pia Score. Overall though I'd recommend you try it..Version: 4.9.1

Great! Some It's very useful in practical gig situations. It needs improvement but I think as updates are made it will get better. A great idea..Version: 1.70

IgigOne of the best music apps out there! Saves a lot of lugging and trees!.Version: 1.78

Use it now instead of lugging booksNo longer lug my books around - now I've got it properly set up. Fiddly to set up initially and you do need to have the PDF books with all the pages in them. But once you have then all ok. That's why only four stars not five..Version: 1.60

JeremyWorks great! Easy install, excellent online help forum, fast answers from emails. Great features for on-the-gig application. Set list feature, song and composer search are simple to use. Some minor problems with synching and one book crashes, I'm able to improvise and adapt my way around those very minor problems. Use this app at least once a week on the gig. Bandleader e-mails the nights set lists and I import them right into igig My Scores. Only complaint I have is the set index doesn't come with the song pages. One improvement would be to include a song's number of pages. I try to avoid songs with multiple pages. I haven't purchased the page turning foot switch yet. Highly recommend this app for all gigging musicians!.Version: 8.5

My only sourceIGigBook is the only “music” I carry to my weekly gig. With the transposable chord sheets and the real book files and a few others, I am never caught short. No more carrying 3 or 4 heavy fake books.😊.Version: 9.2

Works great, staying organizedI have my books and band set lists all in one place, one grab for my music needs. Also easy to make set lists on the fly.Version: 8.6

IGigBook reviewI use iGigBook constantly for practice, gigs and song search. It is a big time saver once organized. It could be a little more user friendly and glitches do occur occasionally but overall is well worth the purchase..Version: 8.0.3

Time consuming, but worth the effort! This app saves me huge amounts of time and bother. It's a fantastic idea that's well implemented. I use iReal b at gigs because it's easier to skim read chords than lead sheets, but iGigbook is ideal for gigging if you prefer to have the lead sheet! The ability to search all twenty odd realbook's on my iPad for a tune rather than do it the old way (look in the index for each one individually) is so much easier and more convenient that it alone makes the app worth every penny... But... Don't expect to click "install" and be ready to gig. Firstly you will need to spend an hour (or more) in google to find the realbook pdf's you need. (Not included in app.) You also need to make sure they are named correctly. (Full details on developer website.) That said this app is well worth the setup time, if you're a jazz musician then this is a must have app for your iPad..Version: 1.59

I did itI did it !!!!with help from a friend I suggest that two people get together and see if that works better for you. He got his done after weeks of trial and error...it went faster with the two of us doing it ..keeping the file names right caps or not and sometimes changing the name of the books..keeping track of where we are in the process.....just a thought ..thanks friend..and good luck to the rest of you.Version: 8.5

Very cool!I used it for lyrics in my duo. Easy to use and has never failed..Version: 1.87

Best app everThe best pdf manager for jazz musicians on the market. Been using it for years. 200 stars..Version: 8.2.1

Very user unfriendlyMy score navigation tool doesn’t work. When I enter a repeat it just keeps repeating over and over again. I also entered where the end repeat it is, but that has no effect. If only there was someone I could talk ask about this. Extremely frustrating. Guess I’ll have to invest in a different app. Strongly discourage anyone from buying iGigBook unless they have hours to experiment with it..Version: 5.8.5

If you can survive the file setup, you will reap benefitsVery good package that avoids fumbling through several Fake Books for a tune. Carry a suitcase of books on your Ipad. A lot lighter! Very handy if you play with different musical groups and variable repertoire of music. Now for the less good news...the Setup and learning curve. You need to upload your pdf Fake Books to the IPad and rename them to the IGig naming standard, and link up to the IGig Website. The page offset number is also challenging because your sources of fake book pdf files may vary for the same book title. If you get the offset incorrect, you land on the wrong page (but close). Also lands on a wrong page if there are unexpected in-between scanned pages. Can't blame IGig for that ! I still recommend this package because it beats searching through hard copies..Go for it but be prepared for a setup period. Don't try this the night before a gig... J2B guitarist.Version: 1.83

Excellent!Great app. The indexing for PDFs is the unique killer feature..Version: 1.80

Without a doubtThis app is the reason I bought an iPad. Simply put, if you walk around with multiple real books or fake books at your gigs, you need this app. It is the greatest app for my needs..Version: 4.9.1

My essential gigging appI have now used iGigBook pro for over a decade, and it is an essential tool that I use in both gigging and teaching. Over time, I have found and added almost all of the jazz fake books in pdf form to iGigBook, and I have created pdfs with many tunes and arrangements that I’ve created in notation software. All of these sit handily in the app, available when searched for creating set lists. I also use the app to print out lead sheets for students during lessons, which is allowing me to go digital with my library of tunes that I teach. At gigs, I present my players with multiple iPads, each one synced with our tunes and playlists. I love the app..Version: 9.2

CheapSo cheap and powerful I use it for all my music now and never carry books or any sheet music to the gig Finding a tune is very rapid and I don’t have to know how to spell it totally to find it Nerertiti for example All my fake books and music I have collected over the past 30 yrs Is on this iPad organized in this app gig book Great stuff Thanks Chris potter.Version: 8.3

Works wellI really like this app. I just wish the interface was a bit easier to use. It does what I need it to do. It would also be nice to read 2 music sheets at the same time..Version: 1.83

Great appA really useful app - a lot of my fake books are now on it, and songs are easy to find, with the app searching quickly through all the books. With the set list function you can have everything you need set up for a gig, and you can put in notes too. It has to be said that it takes a bit of setting up and there are some glitches as you go along, but when it's up and running it's terrific..Version: 1.79

The BestThis app is advertised as ‘for the working musician’. I think that is not correct. I have been using this app on my ipad pro for almost 2 years and it is the best thing that has happened to me musically. I am not a pro, but I just love music. This app gives me the ability to add, sort and find music so easily it is amazing. Used in conjunction with Scanner-Pro, I am also able to scan hard copies and easily add them to my collection. I Love this App!.Version: 8.0.3

Excellent idea - well implemented!Needs to have the capability of downloading the indexes to a desktop or laptop for editing and comparison of editions. Otherwise...... Brilliant concept..Version: 1.77

A solid work horseI’ve got all the books i can find on my I pad now. When necessary for singers I’ve made up a special index and linked it to the ‘book’ they use.. its a bit tedious - some of that is workflow that I could probably work on but the pieces are all here to manage more songs than you can play in a life time. I haven’t checked out the new transpose feature. I’ve always wanted to mess around with Mxml maybe this is my chance. Keep up the good work and keep making it better. Matt McCauley New London, CT.Version: 9.2

My libraryIts good having everything in one place, it does what I want, and need at the time..Version: 8.5

IgigbooksWish I could find all of the books indexed in the program. More work is needed on indexing accuracy, but the app is a critical tool in my arsenal. No index slot for Real Book 1 and Realbook 5. The help should give a list of websites where one can download the corresponding PDF, for indices shown..Version: 6.5

A useful tool...On the gig one can get a lot of requests. I have a big repertoire of over 2000 songs that I can do without charts. But on the gig there is always a request that you just can't bring to mind or have never heard of. This is when this app can save the day, so to speak. The developer is good at responding to requests and keeping things updated..Version: 4.9.1

Still far from perfect, but brilliantA lot of reasons for irritation when you start using it. Especially setting up the books is a pain. Downloading my own tables of content is really not straightforward. Making corrections to existing books not possible (at least haven't found how to do). So many reasons to give it a lower score. Yet if you take the time and accept the irritation to settings things up this app is simply brilliant. I use nothing else to keep my music organised..Version: 2.0

MrFantastic app. Using it all the time on gigs and for teaching.....Version: 1.80

Poor customer serviceAfter being somewhat frustrated on getting my music pdf’s exported to my iPad. I finally figured it out. This may be a convoluted way of doing it. I started by downloading the Dropbox app on my iPad and pc. I uploaded the files to Dropbox and then to Acrobat and then to igigbook. Once I was up and running I was pleased with the app..Version: 5.6

I love this appThis app is brilliant for musicians and practically everyone I know is using it. Great for putting all your fake, real and whatever else books in one place. You can get you gigs all sorted out and pass on to the band via the app. You can now add a few notes where you like, but it's limited to a few times, so more on this option please. One big issue is that the last few updates have been making this thing crash, especially after flipping between material. Please fix and then it's perfect..Version: 2.3

Ultimate gig companionGreat app, a life saver in a jam..Version: 1.72

Excellent but only if....Yes. If you can get PDFs with all the pages sorted, or know how to sort out a PDF yourself, then the coding and page offset process is relatively simple... And then this app is brilliant. So I now love it. But it took quite a while to sort things out. If you are not technically minded, you'll need a friend to work it out for you. Now I certainly will leave all my heavy real books at home..Version: 1.81

Very useful...however, loading pdf's and fake books into the app are unnecessarily difficult. Great for gigs, though, once you figure out how to get your tunes and playlist installed..Version: 4.8.5

Great appGreat app once you've got it working correctly, could probably benefit from a clearer tutorial as I can imagine a lot of people can't get it worked out. But other than that, it's easily one of the apps I use the most, if your a jazzer and your looking for a great song reference tool then this is the one..Version: 1.86

Take your time learning the appTakes time to get things into The program but once you get the books onto the program it works the way it supposed to. I’m sure I still have a lot to learn.Version: 5.9

Great. Love it.As a trumpet player with a lousy memory for melodies and changes, iGIGbook is the cat's meow. At a gig or jam they call a tune -- and bingo I've got it. Two clicks of my iPad and the tunes in front of me - and in my key as well. I give it 5 stars!! Gerry deagle Vancouver, Canada.Version: 2.0

IGig book ReviewI use iGigbook all the time on stage. I have tried several other apps and I find this one the best. I have a few band mates that use other apps and I usually have my chart up first. This is the app I bought my iPad to use with, never been disappointed! Love it..Version: 4.0.1

Learning curve to index, but a great resourceA great resource to catalogue all my pdf books/charts. The track searching function is smart, but having better access to play/pause/stop controls would be an improvement. Charging for the use of stylus feels cheap - forScore allows that inclusively..Version: 6.4

Raisin d'etreThis app is the reason I bought an iPad. It is easy to load charts from my laptop via iTunes. Once loaded it was quick to select charts into a set list for a gig, and apart from one drawback listed below, it was slick emailing everything to band members when I had finished. My set list was a mix of scanned charts and typed lyric/chord charts that I saved as PDFs. I had been a bit worried about the screen size being a bit smaller than A4, but the clear bright screen compensated for that. Just make sure you don't use a small font size; I would recommend at least size 14 font. Courier works better than more modern fonts. Also, making chord names bold helps them stand out from the lyrics. Although all of the above is sufficient for me to be delighted with this purchase, There are two things that haven't worked well: 1. I was delighted to find 1200 transposable charts were included with the app. However when I included some of these in a set list, they didn't email to band members. Maybe they don't save as true PDFs. If I could overcome this limitation it would greatly improve the value of the app. 2. One of the best features of this app has a bug. After forming a setlist for a gig, the app allows me to email the charts to my band members. However, it only attaches the first page of each chart: MAJOR DRAWBACK; PLEASE FIX..Version: 1.79

I gigbookThis is a must-have for any gigging musician. The ability to have all of my fake books in one place, along with the ability to search for specific titles, and scanning in my own charts is invaluable..Version: 8.3

Convenient, Helpful, Gig-FriendlySince playing with a jazz guitarist who was using this app, I decided to give it a go. Excellent decision - no more paper-heavy folders on my music stand. Neat, clear, easy to use (even for an 'older' user like me), it has made me less anxious about finding the right music and I no longer have to keep several paper different versions. Have been using it for gigging for 18 months and love it! Took me a while to work out how to save the music in a different key, but it was easy really. Definitely recommended..Version: 2.51

Wait for next updateProblems with page turn pedal. Update fixed it. Works fine again. However, the 4 hour dance gig I played without my page turner was sheer misery. The update should never have been released with this problem. I rely, totally, on this app to provide my music for the 3 bands that I play with. My original 1 star rating was to warn others to wait on the update. This is a good product, but I feel a bit badgered to give a good rating. I expect better..Version: 8.0.3

Great gig aidIgigbook has rescued me and my band from having to deal with and maintain a hundred paper charts. Between it and Dropbox, the whole job of managing our homemade charts has been greatly simplified. It also cuts down on onstage clutter - iPads on short mike stands look a lot better than big books on music stands and don't obscure the musicians nearly as much. The ability to index PDFs of selected published fake books is a bonus. I give it four stars instead of five due to its cumbersome online interface..Version: 1.78

Does What It SaysThis app has been great for indexing music books digitally. It’s a bit of a learning curve, but it allows you to intentionally create a library and includes a great framework for Jazz music in particular!.Version: 9.2

IGigBook 7As with any app it takes a while to get to know it and feel like you’re in control. Luckily I’d been saving most of my charts as PDF’s anyway, so transferring the charts to igigbook was fast, easy and requires no cables. Setting up set lists was pretty intuitive. The things I couldn’t figure out could be found on the internet fairly easily. It makes gigs and rehearsals a little more fun. No more lugging envelopes stuffed with paper. I can now ‘skate’ on it and do anything I need to do. Annotations and changes can be done quickly on the fly. I see there’s now an update. I’ll check that out..Version: 7.6

Fantastic app for the gigging musicianThis app is fantastic! As previous reviewers have said it isn't completely intuitive to set up and you need to supply the content (not difficult though if you know how to use Google …). If you are looking for "install and go" this isn't the app for you. But spend a bit of time setting it up and it is absolutely incredible..Version: 1.59

IGigbook 3.0I just downloaded this upgrade simply for the landscape option. I Just finished the upgrade and I love the landscape option. I have been using iGigBook app several years now and have always found it to be a great app. Thanks for the landscape option, it is great with my iPad Pro..Version: 8.4

The best everNo need to look at empty chord charts again. This is the answer. Real music, Melodie’s, notes and arrangements from hard working musicians like you. Buy it! Use it!.Version: 8.4

Most versatile Music reader out there for jazz...Simply the best.... While it takes some time to set up, it definitely is the most useful tool for accessing lead sheets available..Version: 8.9

Always waited for thisI am a professional performing musician for over 50 years. I have varied musical tastes & have performed for many types of audiences. Therefore, a gig book with 50 tunes & a specific order almost never worked. Created my own with some 3000 tunes, many of which were handwritten arrangements. That worked for decades, always drawing new tunes from my library of fake books & dozens & dozens of folio books & hundreds of sheet music. A tedious job to look something up. This digital type “book” & an iPad were the obvious answer. Thank you for your ongoing dedication to this project..Version: 7.4

Fabulous app for musosYour scores are searchable! For that alone it's worth having. But the list of song charts is also impressive. It's sophisticated and written for real gigging musicians..Version: 4.9.1

Love it, but!.Quite easy to use once you get used to it. Also saves lugging around heaps of sheet music. I would not be without it. Having said that l find some of the instructions hard to follow at times. Why sometimes after loading new music does it not go straight in to alphabetic order but sit above the "A"s? What can l do so that it is in the correct alphabetical order straight away? Thanks.Version: 3.09

Excellent app - well worth the money!IGig book is a great app - I have used it for several months now with my church music team not just in our own church but also out doing larger events including conference centres and even the local football stadium! It has worked really excellently and even allows you to drive an external monitor (or monitors if you use a video splitter) this has turned out to be very cool indeed :-) Once set up on iTunes managing our library of music has become straightforward and gets way from scruffy bits of charts / scraps of paper. Nice one guys!.Version: 1.73

IGigBook saved my backFor years I've carried briefcases and bags of books to every rehearsal and show. No longer thanks to iGigBook. I scan each new song into my MacBook and transfer the PDF into iGigBook, building a good sized library. A quick search finds any song - or arrangement. The new features, especially allowing me to see 2 pages at once on my iPad Pro are fantastic. I use the set lists all the time and email them with music to the rest of the band as needed - so convenient and easy. I recommend this product to all musicians..Version: 8.0.2

At last....If you're a gigging musician this is a total no-brainer! It will take you a while to set it up (it took me a better part of 2 hours to get it all up and running) but it was so worth the effort! Finding tunes is virtually instant as opposed to other pdf music readers! There are still a few kinks here and there but no more than other readers I've used so far! The app pays for itself with all the time you save! Awesome job 😊.Version: 1.72

Good tunesAll of my tunes in one place ready to review or perform. No heavy books or xeroxed sheets to blow off my music stand. Play along with the tunes from iTunes collection. Great professional and educational tool..Version: 8.3

Not easyDon't expect this to be simple! It has taken me ages to work it and I still haven't managed to index 4 books There is no help apart from a forum Roger.Version: 4.7

We’ll worth it for performing musiciansI’ve been using this now for a couple of years. Sometimes a bit confusing, but overall a really great way to organize my 1000+ charts. All my band mates now have a version as well..Version: 8.4

Great App!Saw iGigBook while doing a gig last summer. Decided immediately that I needed it. Took a bit of work and reading a few help screens to load all my real books, but well worth it. Can access songs in seconds. Had to contact tech support once - got a speedy response. Always nice when that happens :) One of my real books has a couple of extra pages - my edition doesn't match the database edition, so it's out of sync after the first few pages, so I'll have to either edit the pdf or just remember to page down a couple pages if I get the wrong song..Version: 3.02

Great....It takes some getting use to how to do some tasks..... But it's concept is good and works Great.Version: 1.73

Amazing AppI play the piano at church every week and was tired of lugging around a bag of binders. Now I have an iPad Pro and all my music is in iGig Book. It's so easy to work with and simple to use. Thank you for such an amazing app..Version: 4.2

IGigbooksIGigbooks has allowed me to resolve many problems encountered my all musicians. I'll can play more requests, practice anywhere I can bring my iPad, be better prepared for practice, and so much more. iGigbooks goes where my horn goes!!.Version: 8.5

Very UsefulA very useful app for the working musician as A fake book resource on gigs..Version: 4.8.5

Indispensable for gigging musicianI’ve used this app for several years to use on gigs and for practice. It takes a bit to figure out how to upload charts and fake books, but once you get the system, it’s fabulous..Version: 8.0.2

Confusing but valuableIve had it for years and I still don’t know how to do it all because i use other apps or books, but I just discovered the REE transpose, free holiday and pop charts, plus lots of standards, so it is getting closer to my beloved iReal pro. I may try the writing feature to make quick charts. This will will all be handy with my iPad..Version: 7.6

Pretty good but some things need to be looked up.Still working it all out but it’s starting to make sense. I haven’t purchased any digital books yet as they are circa £20 each and I already have all the paper ones! One thing that has floored me is that you don’t seem to be able to create a set list in order - only alphabetical. That’s something I really need so a) is there a way to do it; b) surely it can’t be that hard to add that functionality and c) is there a better app that gives this option? Any answers? YES YOU CAN REORDER SET LISTS. It’s not obvious but I found the forum so recommend you go there. Extra star for that..Version: 5.8.4

An Essential App For Serious MusiciansIf you happen to own PDF copies of several musicians' fake books, iGigBook is an incredibly handy tool. By carefully following instructions, you can copy your fake books onto your iPad, and once done, you can search for songs by name or subset of name in the title. Often the same song appears in several different books. If a few of your books fail to bring up the correct song, you can add or subtract pages from the indexing scheme until the right song pops up. Now you can read the chords and melody of each song and play or practice each song on your instrument, just as you would do from the original print copy of your fake book. This is a well-written tool that I use daily..Version: 4.9.1

IGigBookThis is actually an awesome app for musicians! i perform any number of 300 songs in an evening and its difficult to recall every chord! so this is perfect for storing chords and/or lyrics. ive noticed many comments of 'rubbish, and no good', i think those comments are from people who didnt understand how to use the software. on that note, thats my only complaint guys, its not the easiest or the most understandable instructions in the world! other than that it does what it says on the box, and its awesome! makers of this app, please take note tho' make the interface and the jargon simpler! you'll get better reviews i can assure you! Kevin Orchard [Rockyoke].Version: 1.42

The best tool for practice and gigsI turned it iGigBook after iReal Book and others. I was carryiNg around 2 files of sheet music and as these became larger, heavier and just unwieldy an iPad source was the answer. After over 20 years of jazz, and several years of ceilidh and ukulele bands, I now carry them on one device in one app. The fact that there are so many preindexed real and not so real books makes keeping your full repertoire in one place possible and not so difficult. I have added over 200 tunes not in a book, or perhaps only 1 or 2 in a book, plus the ukulele song books in PDFs. IGigBook is kept fluent and adaptable as OSX changes (too many changes I hear many say). As more uSe it (including more members oF my bands - all 24 oF them) the more suggestions for improvement and development are made. I have contributed very little to this process I am ashamed to say, but it still keeps pace with my needs, something the alternativeS did not. I can see the band and me carrying on for years to come as committed iGigBook devotees..Version: 4.9.1

PerfectThe Tittle To Song Selection Search Difficultly Has Been Totally Resolved..... thank you thank you X 4…… I found myself to be patient. I truly trusted that your TEAM would work the Magic.....Version: 7

Gig it!This program is a god-send for someone who has a pile of fake books without any easy search and displaying capability. iGig Book quickly finds the song you want, providing you have it loaded in PDF form, of course. How could it be improved? Perhaps add a drawing facility to the new iPad Pro version that, by the way, is superb when running with the Retina display! If you gig using fake books, you can't go wrong with this program! ❤️💛💚💚💚.Version: 3.02

Almost thereThis app is brilliant in someways and in one way not so much. I love being able to view my music sheets on my iPad. No more lugging around all my real books. But I would like to see a more intuitive landscape mode and zoom function. This app forces you to view two pages in landscape mode. Then the music is laid out very small with two pages. I want to view one page in landscape more and stretch it to fit nice and big. See this way you can view it large on a smaller tablet. Instead when you zoom in to fit you get distortion and then it snaps back weird. When I tried the zoom function and did the steps the app said to use two fingers to lock the zoom stretch. Then it locked the page and I couldn’t move around to see the rest of the music. Please get more developers to help out and fix this. Good app except for this major glitch. Otherwise I would give 5 stars. Planing to get a larger iPad just to be able to see my sheet music so this is not too big an issue..Version: 7.1.1

Are you a musician?A must have app...simple as that..Version: 8.9

Good but not perfectNeeds the ability to retain transpositions in one set list. I've been caught out a couple of times. A delete option within the app would be good..Version: 2.67.3

Lovin' it!Being a musician who often plays with different combos, styles, etc, I decided to try this app and was sure glad I did! Although some of the "competitive" apps out there may have a simpler interface, the power of iGigBook is, in my opinion, top of the heap. With numerous indexes available to the user, the integration of "book-to-title" reference is seamless. Just a note to that regard..it is of high importance that you choose the correct Volume of, say The Real Book, for example. A ton of time has been put into the creation of the "indexes" and the rewards will be obvious when you start digging in deep with iGigBook. The inclusion of the jazz charts being transposable is a bonus! Updates bring new features and greater stability to this wonderful app..Version: 4.9.1

Big helpWorks really well after you figure it out. There are some confusing aspects, but sooooo much easier than carting my fake books to gigs..Version: 7.6

Cannot get startedNew user. Cannot get started. Cannot find any help! Where can one go to get help. Nothing works.Version: 2.53

Very googVery very very good.Version: 1.78

Great solution for organizing lead sheetsGigbook is the perfect name for this program. Your sets are organized, just advance from time to tune with a finger flick. No more paper. Want to learn a tune...it links with your music library and you can play along with your favorite artist to learn the language. With so many good scanning apps available, adding scores to your lists is easy. The song search feature is outstanding!.Version: 8.5

Worth the investmentI love this app. It is really great. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is that books that used to be indexed on my old iPad aren’t supported on my new one! Why would you have less? Wouldn’t you want as many as possible available? Really is maddening..Version: 5.5.1

Highly recommendedGreat app...does all it says and makes it very easy to find a song out of the 23 real books on my ipad.. My only small issue has been synchronizing a couple of my books, however I still rate it 5 stars. Worth the $$'s and highly recommended.Version: 1.34

Great app! This app is great for gigging and practicing along with iRealb....the song search function rocks...only problem is that my eyes are starting to go and doing a bit more squinting these days...thanks for a great app that's really functional.....Version: 8.0.2

PDF Downloads. This app is a fantastic resource but takes time to set up properly. Having built up a reasonable library I can tell you that most of the PDFs (books) available are from illegal sites - publishers just don't seem to be interested in exploiting this side of the market. Consequently, I have had to resort to buying hard copies of Real/Fake Books, removing the comb binders (for which you will need a special machine to replace them) and having the pages scanned on a large machine with a sheet feeder - expensive exercise. If you do this be sure you get the precise edition that matches the index used by igigbook, although, I believe it is possible to write your own indexes - I've yet to get to grips with this..Version: 4.9

The Essential iPad App for Working Jazz MusiciansIGigBook is the only app I know of that indexes my whole collection of real / fake book PDFs so that I can pull up any of thousands of charts in five seconds. I can go on stage with a set list of charts on both iPad and hard copy. Then, if there is a request or last minute change, I can pull up the chart instantly and play. Until I learn all 14,000 jazz standards by heart, iGigBook is the best way to play jazz. The alternative is to bring several kilos of photocopies to each practice and gig. Vancouver Bassist.Version: 4.9.1

Great app, for sheet musicThanks for an app that works well! Easy to use and set up..Version: 4.1

KarnomapGreat stuff, no more carrying binders..Version: 1.80

Excellent appAn excellent app which allows me to view my fakebooks on my iPad. It comes with ready indexes for most of them. The only thing stopping it from being five stars for me is the inability to create my own indices for my own music and also when I book mark a page it comes out in the general search as an orphaned index rather than referring to the actual PDF title. other than that, it is a must have and I have no regrets purchasing it - and neither will any of you who use fakebooks..Version: 1.70

Great resourceI don't have to carry a bunch of books with me and I can create set lists for shows.Version: 5.7

No musician should be without this. One of the best apps to use Real Books..Version: 7.6

Useful appAn extremely useful app for gigging musicians. A bit of a learning curve to get it up and running so an improvement would be to make the explanations somewhat fuller. Suggestions for sourcing PDF music files would also facilitate it's use..Version: 1.63

Love this AppThis is a tremendous way to tame the proliferation of fake books and tunes. Look one up alphabetically and choose your favourite version from all your tunes. Can sort Eb and Bb versions as well as concert. Use it all the time. Makes set lists too..Version: 4.9

EssentialThis is the most useful app I have. I bought the iPad so I could run it. I use it on every gig, rehearsal and practice session. I highly recommend it. But don't forget to buy the PDFs first they are cheap and easily available from the Internet..Version: 2.66

Superb App for pro musiciansIf like me you've been using the iReal book app, you don't need me to tell you how useful that can be! Well, as a sax player this app is even more useful and all I need to do now is persuade my bass player to buy an iPad! Tech support is first class and very quick. One slight issue was with the webpage control panel, Safari doesn't seem to support this too well but worked fine on Chrome. Only negative is that it will put me off learning heads to standards because I will have them all in front of my on my iPad! Great app and well worth the £.Version: 1.72

Great AppI downloaded the app a couple of months ago and had a couple of queries on it's use that I raised with the developer. These were answered quickly and comprehensively. Since then I have been adding music to the app so that I now have most of my collection loaded. I used the app at a gig for the first time last week and it was brilliant. There are a couple of features that I haven't mastered yet - like amending the indexing and using DC al coda option, but I know they are there. Everybody I have shown the app to is impressed - it's almost a marketing tool for the iPad for musicians! For the price it is really good value..Version: 1.55

Extremely user friendly and very useful!Extremely user friendly and very useful! I have been using and relying on it for a couple of years, and am very pleased with the result! Did a gig tonight and breezed through the tunes while my piano player juggled numerous fake books ...........Version: 7.6

11 big books in one little iPad. Amazing!Long gone are the days of carrying multiple books and a heavy duty music stand to gigs. Everything I need is easily accessible with the swipe if a finger. It’s so cool to do a song search and have iGig Book present every version of the song from any books that are loaded is terrific! Love the app!.Version: 7.1.1

Love itIt's great and I'm able to use it at gigs, at church and at school..Version: 1.63

NatI have scanned over 300 numbers and transferred them to I gigbook. It is easy to add new tunes and set list is great for gigs. Requests are quickly brought up No piles of sheet music to rifle through Other band members have taken it up.Version: 4.7

GreatTook time to set up (renaming and importing pdfs, adding blank pages to make the index line up!) which can be a bit of a pain, but I've got it all done and well worth putting the time in. Now about twenty real books indexed perfectly, search by song, create set lists..Version: 3.09

Transpose Book Feature! Another iGigBook First!I’ve been using iGigBook since 2010 and it has constantly improved. Recently they’ve added a new feature that can tranpose the melody and chords of the over 650 songs in “The New Bob Book”. This is a game changer if your work with singers. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟.Version: 8.9

Getting close to indispensableHaving used this app for almost 4 years I can say it’s been tested. I now use it on every gig. While there’s still room for improvement, I don’t gig without it. I really appreciate the developers continuing to make positive changes. I use an IPad Pro 12”, it’s perfect. If you need to use charts for you gigs ( I play in multiple bands, so no way I have all the changes memorized), you need this app. No question about it..Version: 7.6

Good appReally good app, some foibles, like Having to rename books for the app, doubling storage space on the PC Having to go online to enable some of the extra books.Version: 1.75

Great!Fantastic app. Thanks!.Version: 1.73

IGigBook is GreatThis super useful tool gets put through its paces. I use it on many gigs and rehearsals a year. I like that the feature lists seems to be expanding. If I could hope for new features, I would request two. The ability to create indexes for books the don't have them. Greater capability to edit the provided indexes would prove useful as well.Version: 6.0.7

Highly Recommend this program for PDF sheet music.I have been using iGigBook for many years as a gigging musician responsible for reading hundreds of charts. I scan the charts myself usually then use my iMac to load them into my iPads. I am glad I invested the time (I'm a slower learner) to "master" the program. Friends in the band try and get me to switch but I'm keeping iGigBook as my set list / sheet music app..Version: 4.9.1

Brilliant but...As a gigging jazzoid I find this app fantastic. No more multi-book schlepping! No more clip-on music stand light. Takes a while to set up but well worth it. One suggestion: It would be wonderful to be able to turn my iPad horizontal for two-page view. Please ;-) Update: Latest version of iGigBook allows two-page view. Thank you! This app has changed everything. All my musician pals use it..Version: 4.9.1

Merci..Version: 1.86

Love new features! Thanks so much for new note taking feature - have been waiting for it! Like ease of upload. Also like transposable chord books! Great features!.Version: 6.0

Essential! Can be a bit hard trying to find the right index for a Facebook, but once done, well worth the effort. Can't think how I managed without it!.Version: 1.75

Extremely usefulExtremely useful app. I use it for most of the gigs I play & would recommend it to any musician working in jazz, r 'n' b, pop & rock without hesitation..Version: 3.02

Excellent appThis is a very useful app for gigging musicians our whole band uses it Better than carrying a ton of music I use it everyday.Version: 6.4.2

Great AppUse this all the time. Great for finding music in all those real books. Thanks Phil.Version: 8.5

The bestAwesome app worth buying an ipad just for this app if your a professional musician!!.Version: 2.51

ExcellentThis is a must have app for a gigging or practising jazz muso. I have about 3000 pages of fake books, all indexed, which means I can find pretty much any song almost instantly. You can also build sets out of them. A 5* App.Version: 1.40

Very dependableExcellent..Version: 8.5

Confused dot comWell what can I say, a lifetime of experience in the real world, I have played jazz to real live people in the real world, and sometimes they applaud, I paid whatever for this App, which looked rather good. However, I cannot get past the basic start up guide thing, nor can my younger friend George the younger, someone please help..Version: 2.54

Invaluable gigging musicians toolHave been using this app for a few years now and it's almost completely replaced paper real books and hand-written charts. Also you can read them on a dark stage. A few minor gripes with the UI for set lists stop me from giving 5 stars but still hugely recommended..Version: 4.9.1

8.9 with transpose add on is a seismic shift. The Transposable option for Bob’s book that can be added to 8.9 is the “REAL” deal! Calling it a game changer is a huge understatement. It is a life changer!.Version: 8.9

A must haveWhile there is some significant effort involved with the initial setup, no other product on the market can do what this app can do, and that is index and provide the song you are looking for in seconds on a gig which includes the melody line, and lyrics. The ability to respond to any request immediately is also a plus. A fraction of the weight of my regular gig binder, back lit and easy to read..i'm never going back......great support from the developer if you have technical issues too..Version: 1.46

So Convenient!!Once you get past the slightly tedious task of importing and renaming your PDFs this app will save you heaps of effort, the ability to a search songs and composers from all the books at once is fantastic. The set list function is particularly handy for most visited songs, especially if you are studying pieces for uni etc. Be sure to follow the instructions as well as set up an account for most effective and efficient results..Version: 2.51

AwesomeOne of my most used apps. It's just smart. Initial set up was time consuming but TOTALLY worth it. Simply the BEST chart management app, and I have tried them all. This is the one to buy..Version: 4.9.1

Highly recommendedThis app is highly recommended if you already have PDFs of fake books and wish to organise them onto your iPad. Be warned there is a fair amount of work to do in the process, but in the end the ease of access and indexed reference to so much material will definitely change the way you work. I am a professional jazz musician and use this app every day, while my hard copy fake books stay in the cupboard. Publishers should start making legal, protected fake books in PDF form to keep up with the times!.Version: 1.74

IGigbook is Indispensable!I give this app a 5 Star Rating! It is a tremendous data base for reference purposes, this app is an indispensable tool for all my charts and musical arrangements. I depend on it for so many things that I would be totally lost without it. I use it extensively on all my gigs. It gets better all the time!.Version: 8.4

BrilliantBe prepared to take some time setting it up. Your PDF real books must not have pages missing in the middle and you must follow the instructions very carefully on how to upload them to the iPad - correctly named. That done......it's amazing. Organise set lists, browse by song of composer....email set lists WITH PDF CHARTS ATTACHED to band members. As a musician having many years of experience, this is the most welcome of tools for reference, as a database & library, and a teaching and gig resource. Genius!.Version: 1.72

Splendid app. This is a really useful app for either helping with the chords for tunes you don't know well, or for having a set list in front of you (and the chords as well) listing every tune in the key in which it is to be played. It's a fairly big operation to get things set up with all your fake books listed (including the ones that you have compiled yourself) but it is SO worth it. No question. 5 stars..Version: 4.7

Great AppUse this App for my gigs, have all my songs on and can pick and choose the set list on the go!.Version: 1.75

Still the Gold StandardI was lucky to find this app early in its development. I’ve never looked back. Phil continues to add features. There’s simply nothing n]better out there for the practicing or gigging jazz musician..Version: 8.1

Nice App.... It'd be great if you could input PDF's or even epub books from emails and maybe connect the iPhone page turner over wi-fi (this would most likely allow for a better, less fiddly connection experience!) I appreciate the amount of work that's gone into this so thanks!. (As an aside, this is the only App I've been able to find that allows page turning for books via a single switch on the iPhone. This is a useful feature for people with limited mobility, and is a possible alternative to expensive page turners or switch systems for devices like kindles!) :).Version: 1.71

Love the indexing, gig viewsBeen using iGigBook for many years. Would not know what to do without it. Only one suggestion and that is to list the recently viewed list in reverse order, the latest viewed on top. That way, I don’t have to scroll 500 titles to get to the most recently viewed. Thanks.Version: 7.1.1

"Burge'y"So handy and easy to use!.Version: 4.9
