✓ RefundPlease refund me, I cannot add scores. This app has gone down the toilet!!! We scored for 3 holes and now can’t do anything..Version: 8.807.4
✓ Ridiculous price increaseI play in 3 different golf groups. Each group has over 50 members and we have enjoyed the benefits of this app for skin tracking and other things. We have used it for 4 years, but NOW it is time to move on because of the egregious price increase from $35 to $80 per year!! There are way too many other apps that offer the same options and we are now aggressively searching for a replacement. Way to go guys..Version: 10.3.3
✓ This app was good once a upon a time…But now they nickel and dime you for every feature. Pretty annoying that I now have to pay $18 a month to keep track of my GIRs for example. Switching apps a hassle tho because all my friends use this exclusively to track rounds..Version: 10.1.0
✓ Has all the features but clunky to useThis app could be the best golf app around but let’s itself done with a clunky user interface. It has some many features for tournaments I love and have used often. But I find myself having to back and forwards between leaderboards, the resuming play then entering scores. I also find frustrating the index of holes are out of date for several courses. Hoping this app can reach its full potential.Version: 8.613

✓ Difficult to end a roundI have a love-hate relationship with this app! All of the improvements have been great. However, I love looking at my stats after a round and 9 times out of 10 the app will not end the round so I can look at my stats. I played a round yesterday, I’ve ended the round 10+ times, killed the app, deleted and reloaded the app, tried starting a new round... it still has my round from yesterday as an on-going round. It’s so frustrating! The app often gets hung up when we have a lot of groups playing at the same time. It is also difficult to find a player if you’re not “friends “ on the app..Version: 8.802
✓ Nice App……butA group of us are all on GolfGame book. It’s a great way to feel like you are apart of the round when you can’t play. The Yardage and other features are nice to have, since it’s inception and they have listened to some feedback and have added more courses that wasn’t originally available. When Gamebook was new it was really nice to be able to add a guest that didn’t have gamebook to the round even with the free app when that feature was disabled it was understandable, couldn’t offer too many extras for free. My grip is the price to upgrade your subscription. The last time I checked it was $80 for the year that seems a little excessive. I get it golf is hot right now and companies are wanting to capitalize but for me and “others who are no longer using this app” it’s not that important for me to track friends on the course via the app. Personally I would upgrade for cheaper but not at that price, hopefully GameBook will run a special in the future. Until then I’ll keep my basic plan or find something cheaper. Kind regards.Version: 10.3.0
✓ Worst Update EVER!!!This app a while ago was easily the go to. You had the option of creating and sharing games with friends all whilst having the GPS function for use on the course. The most recent update had pretty much made the app useless for anyone who isn’t willing to pay and there are much better alternatives for people wanting to keep score. The only thing you can do now is create a game on your own and input just a single number on the scorecard, so the app is literally not worth having. You can’t even add friends to the game without being behind a paywall, which is absolutely disgraceful!!! If you’re playing with friends you might as well just go back to pen and paper as you will actually be able to write their scores down. With that said, the app is easily one of the best on the market IF you’re willing to pay for the ‘gold’ membership. But if not, then don’t bother downloading it as it is useless otherwise. It’s a real shame because this update has ruined this app..Version: 10.1.1
✓ Used to be greatUsed to be a great app. They made a change this year that locks down every aspect of the app unless you pay for their gold membership. I can’t even setup a match anymore my friends, let alone use any game type other than a personal stroke play, unless I pay the $80 a year gold membership. Can’t keep track of putts, can’t track greens or fairways hit any more. You can’t even view the map of the hole you are playing to get any sort of help in determining how to approach the hole. It’s now nothing more than an electronic scorecard. It’s a real shame they decided to fully sell out rather than keep it as the great app it used to be..Version: 10.2.0
✓ Latest update is horribleFor the first time in years, we’ve been unable to use the GameBook for our annual golf weekend away. The new group set up is confusing. It would constantly crash. ✓ Used to be 5 starsSince they’ve eliminated the online game manager, everything has been a total fail. In the new tournament manager, I used up both my free trial tournys, and I never got to enter the course (which is step 2 of 7 in setting up a tourny). So disappointed. Been using gamebook for my ryder cup tournament for 4 years, but now I can’t (No reds vs blues or multi round available anymore). And now they want me to pay for these “features”?!?!.Version: 8.902.4
✓ Stopped recording basic statistics?No longer let’s me record my GIR’s and Fairways. I try to toggle it on, but it automatically toggles off. Dunno if they’re putting previously free stuff behind a paywall now, or buggy AF. Either way annoying as.Version: 10.0.0
✓ This app keeps deleting groups that I have created!As the title suggests, I pay the £29 per year to use this app for my society, you can’t log in and manage via PC anymore which makes it hard to manage 20+ tee groups. Recent it has been deleting or not saving groups…..which is frustrating when you have allocated nearly 70 people including unregistered users only to find that it hasn’t saved them all or deleted some of them. Classic! BRING BACK THE PC VERSION PLEASE!!!!!.Version: 10.2.0

✓ Ok but buggyI used this app for some time but it kept on logging me out and I could not get back in even Ny changing passwords. So had to create new email address and start over again, losing all my connections and results. After the fourth time I gave up and using another app..Version: 10.2.0
✓ Used to be GreatThe golf game book used to be a really great app to track stats and score games with friends. The subscription model now means you can’t easily set up games with friends and l on top of this the app has become increasingly glitchy, often logging me out mid round or quitting. I have tried software/ app updates and even recently got a new phone with still no change. Such a shame as I have really enjoyed this app for the last 3 years..Version: 9.2.11
✓ Binning the app!I’ve been using this app for years, very informative and I mainly play stroke play or stapleford so I could keep track of my scores, but with the latest update you can now only use the stapleford feature if you pay the gold membership! How tight can you be, this app is going into the bin and I’ll look for an app that gives these basic golf features for free..Version: 10.0.0

✓ Great AppReally good simple to use and informative app. There are times when it can be a little clunky. I have had to delete it and reinstall a couple of times. Just before a round this is a bit of a bind. Overall though I like the app and use it for every round I play even if I am also using the eg app..Version: 10.2.7

✓ Better 4 years agoBeen using it for around 4 years now, still using it but it was better before. Each major update is making it worse. Slower, clunkier, notifications barely work anymore... etc. Go back to the roots, was awesome 4 years ago, now its just OK..Version: 8.613

✓ DisappointedThe app starts out great but unfortunately after setting up a tournament and then going back to revisit the tournament I already created rendered my tournament useless because I needed to purchase an extra “token” even though I was able to create the tournament. I reached out to customer service because that’s the only way they will invoice you so you can pay with PayPal. This part is very annoying because I have not heard back in almost 24 hours. I need reliability as much as any tournament manager and will need to use another app. Customer service is critical and besides that piece, it would certainly get 5 stars and I will be willing to change it..Version: 9.1.0

✓ Subscription made me go elsewhereIt was and still is a great app, for the single golfer or the 4 ball. But you can no longer links games without paying the subscription. I agree with adding new features behind the subscription wall but to remove old features like group games and put them behind the wall is harsh. I was talking this app up to my golf society only to find out a previously accessible service had been removed without subs so was really disappointed in that, and unfortunately we had to looks elsewhere for the scoring app..Version: 8.722.2
✓ Progressively worse5 years ago this was the best app out there. Easy to navigate, great at keeping track of relevant statistics, and AWESOME for setting up multi round tournaments with multiple groups. Unfortunately, we are now unable to run our event because the membership our group bought wasn’t enough. It has gotten worse on the way it keeps track of your statistics as well. Na ovation is now different but I wouldn’t say it is any easier than it was before..Version: 9.2.5
✓ Slow LoadingSince the app has changed it is so slow. Network error always displays when searching courses where it didn’t previously, friends do not load, my round from today is not showing anywhere. I’m currently at home with full Wi-Fi signal and no data is showing (friends, previously played courses/rounds). I don’t mind having to pay but the app has deteriorated since the update and does not load quickly if at all. It’s a great app when/if fully functional..Version: 10.2.1
✓ Great Good app works wellThank you for your comments relating to my initial review. I find it interesting that the software was free for about 10 years then last years charge was £20 and a year later £40. As a longtime user this is app this is very disappointing especially when there are continuous errors that are still not being addressed. It’s also a bit embarrassing when you’re trying to get your golfing colleagues to use the app. Not sure about the developer continuing to provide a top-notch experience, hope they prove me wrong! Fabulous the way they charge you £40 when it used to be free, that’s looking after your customers!!.Version: 10.3.8
✓ Improvements could be madeThe app doesn’t let me change if the default handicap is on or off. Having to turn it off for every round is really annoying. I play in a league with 19 buddies and the app isn’t really friendly to that. We have to keep track of a lot of data outside the app to track progress in the league. Adding more features to support leagues and tournaments would improve the usefulness a lot..Version: 8.808
✓ Very Accurate Range FinderLost my range finder and this app is making me wonder if I truly need to replace it. It’s tatafo is too much however, telling everyone once you are on the course. Remedied this with the Private mode which is only available to premium subscribers. Well worth it However, they need to fix the ability to edit scores after finishing a round..Version: 8.809
