✓ Use it all the timeGreat program. I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that it cannot handle taxes for items that are charged added tax. Most food items where I live don't carry a tax charge so I can live with it. But any non food items carry a tax charge that cannot be accounted for. This update is to confirm I'm still impressed with the program and find it very useful over an extended period of time. Lack of a way to enter the tax amount for non-food items stops me from giving it 5 stars but definitely it is 4.5 as such. Excellent app. Now with tax option it is most deserving of a five star rating..Version: 7.2.0

✓ My goto shopping list for years - Still my goto appAt first it took me a bit of time to figure out the best way to use this app. I may not be using it correctly, but it's been effective and I'm much quicker now. I've tried numerous other shopping apps. But when it's time to shop I always end up using IntelliList! There are a few features I'd love to see, like the ability to choose the type of unit in the price per unit. However this app comes the closest to helping me find the best deal. A couple of other features on my personal wishlist: - A web app - The ability to crop my custom product photos These features are definitely not deal breakers, though. The bottom line is that this app is customizable enough to keep me coming back from any other app I try. I highly recommend it..Version: 6.3.3
✓ Working great now!I just downloaded this app and added about 5 items. I think I hit the search stores and it’s stuck there I can’t get out. I closed it for a while but when I went back it was still stuck. Ok if in doubt reboot! I turned my phone off. Now on and it’s working again. ✓ Amazing thorough app.If you’re Neurotic like me and like organization as well as price comparison and keeping your grocery life in order this app is for you.. I just got it a few days ago and loving it all. Had a slight issue but Mario with customer support got on it right away and was resolved within 24 hours. Apps that run as smooth as this and with amazing tech support will always get a review from me. Hard to find a app like this one out there. Does everything I want it to do and more. I paid for the premium to allow me to control it the way I like. Takes a few entries of products to get the hang of it but my product entry list will be become very extensive within the next couple of weeks which everyone will be able to use... however my pricing is in Canadian funds just a FYI... saving money is the key these days and this app is just designed for that. ✓ Looks really good!I just downloaded your app and am really excited. I’ve been writing lists on paper for years and it just doesn’t work anymore. Shopping today requires going to several stores to get the best price. Now my old lists of items followed by little p’s or w’s or a’s or s reminders of the best price store can get tossed out. ✓ Like the App but not the price featureMy grocery app I have used for years will not be updated, so I have to switch to a new one. This app is so far the best I have found except for one thing- I wish I could divorce the price feature in settings because it takes up real estate on my screen and I'll never use it. I also don't like that you can't archive to trend your data without assigning a price to everything. Too much work! And I don't care about the prices. I just need a list and be able to organize it. ✓ More options please.I like how you can put in exact prices, I like the barcode scanner, ability to take a picture of the product and use it. However. We need more options for what the products come as. Right now I have to use “piece” for almost everything. What about cat litter, orange juice, soup, cheese. One piece of cat litter? ✓ Your lists can disappearThis could be a 5-star app in the paid version, except for the one "feature" that can delete everything. That feature is the way it synchronizes. As long as you are careful to sync changes on one device before accessing another device, it works great. It worked fine for a couple of years until.... the app mysteriously deleted all my lists. The synchronizing that the app uses even caused my older time machine backup to "lose" my lists, so I could not restore from a backup. If you only use this app on a single device, I highly recommend it, but it’s a bit chancy if you sync to more than one device. Addendum to my earlier, above, review: Everything was not lost. The synchronizing problem I mentioned only "lost" my lists, not the product data of items, photos, stores, prices, etc. My lists were easily recreated from the stored data. While I’m still wary of syncing across devices, after looking at other available list apps, Intellilist really is the best one. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I simply cannot understand the complexities of WiFi sync versus Dropbox backup. Intellilist support rates 10 stars..Version: 7.2.1

✓ FantasticI've used this app for a couple of years now and it's fantastic. I've used several and this is the best one by far! The scan database keeps getting bigger and better. When I first started, it was very limited to the items that were in the database. Now, almost everything I scan is in there already. Love the way you can have separate databases for separate areas. This app is intuitive, easy to use, and can be configured to fit all my shopping needs. I especially like the camera feature, and have added images of virtually every grocery item that we consistently use in our home. IntelliList comes preloaded with multiple images, however I am able to insert custom pictures of the actual food/packaging itself with each listed item. Aisles are easy to name and place into the most efficient order to help eliminate "rerouting" my path as I shop. ✓ Best grocery list app.Tried a few grocery list apps, this one is the best for me. I use it all of the time. Would like to be able to organize aisles by store, but it is still a very good app. Another useful feature would be a way to add coupons that take a total off of the items I an getting, not off of the unit price. So for example, if I have a coupon for a dollar off of two, I’d rather put in a dollar vice fifty cents and just apply it to the list you are creating. Overall a very good app..Version: 7.2.1

✓ A Well Thought Out, Powerful AppJust started using this App so these are early impressions. Like all subject Apps, it seems you have to kiss a lot of frogs before finding the right one for you! I have tried several shopping Apps before trying Intellilist and in their ways they were all fairly good but none seemed to work well for me. Intellilist has taken me some time to set up in the way that I want it but having done so, shopping should now be an easier chore with the correct statistics being compiled in the background. For those wanting a simple system, Intellislist can provide this with ease. You don’t have to use all of the features. If however you are the type of person that might easily become interested in cost trends or where you are spending your money, this App starts to shine brightly. The likes: Syncs across all my devices once all are set up for Dropbox. Retains all the notes and information that I enter and doesn’t ease them at the end of the shopping session. Has several hundred in-built products that can be customised to your own requirements. Has a list of Stores which can be deleted or added to according to where the individual likes to shop - these are used to collate pricing information over time. Fast Developer response to queries that in truth I should have been able to find the answers to myself, they were all somewhere within the App help guides. Dislikes; Well, this one says more about me than the App. I struggled to get to grips with logging the product’s weights and measures correctly. Some are obvious and some, not so. The App is absolutely correct once you get the hang of inputting these parameters properly and you get used to it. I noticed a previous reviewer had perhaps struggled with this too. All in all, I have great expectations of having at last found the shopping App for me. I would recommend this App to all, especially if you feel you might grow out of the very basic ones. It’s a good, solid App that doesn’t crash or display quirky behaviour. The one off cost of the premium version is well worth the money as it is evident that a huge amount of development work has gone into building it. If the developer reads this, I would suggest they add in a way to shop individual “stores” that have been added in the app so one can update the prices for that store easily. ✓ Pretty good but...It seems like a pretty good app. I found it after I went shopping and added everything I just bought to it including prices on the receipt. For some reason the total on the app doesn’t match my pre tax total but is close. I see no missing or extra items so I’m trying to figure out why the differences. Also it would be awesome to be able to put in the sales tax rate and have it add tax to the total. I have another app that does this but due to it not being user friendly and adding the tax to each individual item and not just the total it makes it frustrating. I did purchase the full version and hope that I can figure out the reason why things are slightly off total wise. Hope to see sales tax added in the near future. Thanks..Version: 6.3.3

This app has definitely saved me time and money. ✓ Everything you need to help plan and save money!I passed this App a few times (I have tried many shopping Apps) mainly due to it being one year since the previous update. Another thing I usually look out for is Apple Watch support. Getting your phone out mid shopping is not always easy if your hands are full (but you can workaround this see below). That said what it does it is best in class in my opinion. At it’s core is price comparison. Other apps may have this, but they tend not retain price history and they certainly don’t show % increases or allow you to shop at the cheapest (or if they do it’s complicated to set up). To get the most from this App will take a bit of setting up and regular use. The more you add to it the easier planning a shopping trip will be. When I shop I now know roughly how much it will cost, if I need to look for cheaper alternatives in store or buy items from other shops. IntelliList does all the things you would expect, images, barcodes etc etc. Another surprise is the price. It is very competitive as it is a one time payment. You get way more features compared to some Apps that charge 3 or even 4 times as much, or require subscriptions. I have even set up a lists for Recipes I use a lot. You can price them up and quickly add any needed ingredients to your main list. I also have a list for my Freezer. 5 stars as I hope the developer is still working on the App as it could do with a few “updates” here and there: IOS16 widgets, Apple Watch App, GeoLocation shopping, Import CSV, squish a few bugs etc etc. Apple Watch: I wrote a Siri Shortcut as you can export your list as text to a message. The shortcut then copies this and sets it up as a list in reminders :-).Version: 9.0.1

✓ I love this app!I can never remember how much things cost, so I use this app mainly to track prices between stores. Manufacturers are constantly changing the package sizes of paper towels and toilet paper for example, so I am consistent with the units when I record items so I can compare the per unit prices. ✓ Finally a grocery list that works with budgeting!I have used several shopping list apps but even if they let process and budgeting. you put in an item’s price, they don’t store that price for the next shopping trip. So they’re really useless if you need to stay within a certain amount per trip. Thank you for making that work. I also like that you can have lists for different stores and can run reports to see where you can save. The only thing I would ask would be the ability to arrange aisles the way you want so you can work through the list as you progress through the store. Less scrolling. ✓ Good but is missing much needed featuresAfter setting it up, which took a bit to get everything the way I wanted, the app seems easy to use. The main issues I have with the app is that you can’t add a quantity for each item from the add list. You have to go back to the main list to edit the quantities. This is frustrating when adding ingredients of a recipe to the grocery list. Also, there isn’t a space to add an additional note to an item and have it be seen in the main list without changing the title of the item. Often times I’ll have an item such as an onion and need to note the size (small, med, large) etc..Version: 6.3.3

✓ Great appThis is a great app. I don't mind paying for it as I use it often. I would like to recommend being able to change the price per lb to any unit on the next update. Especially for packaged items. I would like to do price per item instead of price per lb for everything. Like if I bought case of packaged drinks, giving me price per lb is not very helpful. I'd rather see how much it costs me per bottle. And maybe I missed it, but I don't see where I input or set up my emails to be able to contact the team for suggestions, report bugs, etc. otherwise the app is great for my needs.Version: 6.2.1

✓ AcmeAfter another app I used for years was discontinued I tried this and at first was intimidated but after a brief learning curve I realized that this is probably the best app ever invented. When I upgraded my phone I developed a glitch that dissuaded me but after trying out some others I contacted Amerida who responded to me almost immediately with detailed instructions for a fix which worked so I could happily spend the rest of my afternoon building up my database scanning my food items. I enjoy the photos of items and love to be able to add my own. So far so good! Update, Nov, 2018: There were some issues with the most recent app update, and the support staff went way above and beyond to resolve the issues I was having. Highly recommended! ✓ The Grocery App that worksWe have been using IntelliList for a few months and it’s perfect for our grocery shopping lifestyle. The scanner is fast and accurate. The search works great. Easy to add photos to items. Works well with Dropbox to keep your list synced between devices. The developer is actively improving the app and listens to users. We had a small problem recently with a list and their customer support was great. They even helped us on the weekend. I recommend trying it out for a couple of weeks to learn the ins and outs before buying the full version. You will need the full version if you want to create more than 30 items in your database. I feel the UI esthetics could be improved, but in some ways I like the minimal design. I set mine to black and white for maximum contrast in harsh grocery store lighting..Version: 7.0.0

✓ My favorite for lists and shoppingIt can be as simple as scanning code bars or you can create your own items. There is a lot of options to create exactly the lists that you need and then it can tell you where is the cheapest price by weight/volume. ✓ Brilliant App + Suggested ImprovementsI am really enjoying the features IntelliList has. It allows the user lots of freedom in terms of customising the items you scan, as well as customising the app settings such as selecting the types of units you always want to use. I love that I can store information about the items I buy and easily compare previous prices. The app automatically calculates their percentage differences which is great. I’m not sure why there are so many pre-set items listed in all the different Aisle categories, because if you were to use one as a template for an item you are listing, you would end up changing the product name and photo anyway, and would have to add a barcode, price and unit value. And the Aisle feature I personally find useless because different supermarkets have different aisle names so I don’t understand the point of this app feature. I think the only presets that should exist are fruit and vegetables because their brand usually does not matter/is the supermarket’s brand. Otherwise, every other product has a brand name like Coca Cola, Pringles, etc. The aisle feature should be removed because it doesn’t do anything and is just a waste of time. ✓ IntelilistUsing this app for about two weeks now and find it extremely useful. I am adding my own items and have added my own images. I like the way I can sort the list in shop order, it allows me to concentrate on items in shops I am shopping in. I have tried other similar apps and think this is the best of the ones I tried. No monthly subscription fees makes this more appealing than other apps especially ones that offer less features. The ease of being able to add and build items that are available at your local grocery store is a plus. I found this really helpful for brands and products available in Canada. ✓ Really Good Shopping List AppA five-star review is hard for me to give, especially since I've only been using for one day. But I do love this app! First downloaded just the free version, half a day later the full /paid version. Pros So Far: Aesthetic appearance with photos. Adding Lists is easy. Adding Items is easy. Scanning bar codes is very easy. Adding photos is easy and helpful. Adding pricing and units is helpful (if one is interested). Adding Aisles is easy and helpful. Cons So Far: Have to pay for a lot of customization. (Worth it to me, tho.) The check mark on the photos indicating an item has been moved to the cart is small and can be hard to see. Items in your cart don't move down on your list, so unless you have really good vision, can be hard to see what your outstanding shopping items are. That's about it so far..Version: 8.0.1
