✓ The Word HeardI listened to other audible Bibles but this one is my favorite. It gives the impression of what it would sound like if I were actually there. The theatrical interpretations and very good and I am drawn into the Word even more because I can hear water running, donkeys, birds, whips and people as the angry mobs in the background. The inflection of emotions and the actual voices are inciting feelings to rise up appropriately as I hear and UNDERSTAND what happened. ✓ Finally got it in digital format.So I’m not new to the word of promise in the NKJV but, a past buyer (From when it first came out years ago). I have the whole Bible of this on cd. Am glade I can have it in a digital format so I don’t have to carry around the cd box and a cd radio player or book box. I put in my blue tooth headphones and off I go at work. It’s a blessing for sure and I will never take the bible for grant. I knew very soon we will be banded from carrying bibles. The digital version is clear and amazing. ✓ Truley AMAZING!I would give this 10 stars if i could. This app has opened up the bible for me in such an alive way that i could have never imagined. Some people are moaning it is to expensive, it really isn’t! It is a tad pricey i’ll admit but well worth it and much cheaper then the CD version or some expensive bibles (not that there’s anything wrong with that if thats what you like). The different voices, sound effects, background music, and overall quality has found a home in my heart. ✓ Multiple voice actorsI heartily recommend this audio Bible above all of the other excellent audio Bibles I’ve heard. I love that there are multiple voice actors each speaking a different part. I bought this primarily for the book of Job because I find it confusing about which person is talking when listening to a single person read the whole book. But with this app, a different person is reading each of the different voices in the book. It makes it easy for me to follow who is saying what to Job. If it’s easier in Job it’s easier in the whole Bible. I’m not a big fan of King James Version, but I am able to look past that in this extraordinarily excellent dramatized audio Bible..Version: 9.08.007

It’s one of the very few apps I’ve spent over Thirty UK Pounds on & I’m still satisfied with and I’m extremely delighted with its performance, its continual iOS Updates & its excellent Technical Customer Service Turnaround. ✓ My favorite!This Bible app is in my opinion the best one I’ve used. I’ve downloaded a bunch that I’ve ended up deleting and the only two left are Logos and this one. I really prefer this one to Logos because the UI is very simple and intuitive. I only keep Logos for the vast amount of resources. Taking notes is easy, highlighting is easy, finding the books, chapters, and verses is easy. The audio is nice and is why I originally downloaded the app but I find the actual usage far superior to other Bible apps. So I give it 5 stars. I do want more from this app though. It would be great if I had the ability to listen to the English audio while reading the Spanish text. Also I would like to have the ability to turn on or off the sound effects and music in the audio reading. I really appreciate that John was free. However, in the last month or two, it has this glitch that whenever I open the app the audio automatically starts playing whatever passage I was reading last. The notes, highlights, keyword search bible tree etc. All very good. If I had some constructive criticism. I would like to be able to search notes by keyword. And with 7 options you can say plenty of colors in the highlight section but I make lots of notes I wish there were two or three more colors :-) but I’m sure I a in the minority. ✓ FantasticThis is probably the best NKJV audio app I own, previously I had bought a few of other NKJV audio CDs of different languages and the speed of the reading was like running a marathon, I could not process in my brain what was being read, but this app provides a good reading pace and it feels like the story in the bible has come to life, leaving enough space to think of what has been recited. The background music was mostly good, the only issue I have with this app is probably the narrator/cast reciting the voice of God could have been more solemn and majestic, the background music for voice of God should not have include the eerie sound effect which may diminish the power and sovereignty of the voice of God..Version: 2.1

✓ Reading GlitchI have the Word of Promise audio bible downloaded on my iPad and for the most part, it’s great! However, my version has a “glitch” where in the first four gospels the audio isn’t reading the text that’s on the screen. For example, if I enter Luke 1:70 it starts reading at Luke 1:78-79. It seems like it’s at random places and it’s usually at the end of a chapter, but it’s happened at several different places but only in the first four gospels. Is there a fix for this or an updated version? Any help would be great. Thanks!.Version: 9.08.007

One issue is with the new update: When the audio skips on to the next chapter it cuts very abruptly and then plays the next chapter instead of the gradual fade out of music after the last words of the chapter are spoken in the previous update. There are several books missing audio... like Jude and Revelation do not have audio for some reason. ✓ Great while it workedI’d been searching for a NKJV audio Bible without a distracting voice, and this one was the BEST by far!!! The only thing that would be even more awesome would be if an audio version without the sound effects could be made available. I’d pay for it. The effects often jolt me out of listening to the words. I know others love them though. Recently it stopped working- it crashes or the screen goes black. I’m upgraded to iOS 11 so I’m not sure what caused it. I enjoy the different actor’s voices as they read the Bible and the music/sound effects enhance the text rather than distract imo; however it is a good idea to listen to the free download of John before buying because some reviewers found the music/sound effects did bother them. Besides the superb audio readings the app has many study tools similar to those on my Olive Tree Bible Study app. I purchased this app (both OT and NT) just for the audio, but the other features make it a great value for the money. ✓ Very Impressed with the AppAlthough I have a number of Bible Apps on my iPhone & iPad, I always return to this app again & again, as I love its ease of use, it functionality, its VERY User-Friendly Interface and of course the rich access to various Bible Resources & its Line by Line Reading out of the Whole Bible by Professional Actors & Actresses in a Dramatised Format. I'm aware it is very expensive to buy the FULL AUDIO NKJV STUDY BIBLE VERSION. However, it's one of the best investments in Mobile Apps I've ever made, considering a lot of Apps I've bought over the last few years for a lot of money i.e. Over £30.00 GBP have since been discontinued or proved to be "not fit for purpose". Finally, I'm really very impressed with the introduction of "Feedback/Contact the Developer" in more & more apps that ALLOW ONE to contact the Developer for App Support. I emailed them and I was "pleasantly surprised" that my issue was responded to & resolved within ONE Working Day! ✓ Awesome dramatized BibleI had this audio Bible from the iTunes store. But, it had only parts and audio chapters, so it was difficult to find Bible books and chapters. Now, that the app version is out, we can find Bible books, chapters, and verses. There is even a chronological 365 day read of the Bible. The written word also automatically follows along with the audio which is way cool. The dramatization is top notch. The voices, music score and sound effects is as good as it can get. The NKJV is not my favorite translation, but this is the best dramatized audio out there for the iPod and iPhone. I downloaded the full 4 GB version which has the full audio experience. You can opt for the 1.3 GB version. I also have the NIV dramatized Bible app which is also good. Do not get the iTunes versions. Only the app versions have Bible books and chapters and many other features. NKJV gets a 10/10 for absolutely the best dramatized audio Bible app out there. The NIV dramatized audio Bible gets a 8/10 for being the 2nd best..Version: 1.1

✓ Great app - footnote function could be improvedThis is a great app. The voices/intonation of the actors really aid understanding of the verses. The additional atmospherics, through music and sound effects, are wonderful - because of this it makes you read/listen more than perhaps you would if reading by yourself. For me, the only thing that could be improved is that when the footnote box is open, it would be much better if it automatically updated with the footnotes for the verse that is being read, without you having to click each verse for each footnote, but apart from that, it's a really well delivered audio version of the Bible..Version: 4.0.3
