ProView 2.0 A Great ImprovementThe new 2.0 is a great. The app is faster and the interface looks much cleaner. A very intuitive, polished eReader. Easy to keyword search, navigate Table of Contents, and annotate..Version: 2.0.4

Crashing after the updateAfter yesterday’s update it keeps crashing immediately after opening the application. Can you please fix it..Version: 4.1.0

Simpler and easyThis app is simple and easy to use in my opinion. Although unlike another eTextbook service, VitalSource Bookshelf, Proview does not allow the text to be read aloud. This is important as many eBook service providers are now adding 'text to talk' funtionality. In addition, it will also allow for those who have learning disabilities or imparements to actively participate in understanding the material. I believe that this is a significant let down to the Proview eBook service. If Proview adds support for 'text to talk' it will significantly improve the funtionality and desirability of the service..Version: 4.5.0

Version 4.0.0 continues the “Crash Happy” traditionFeb 21, 2018 ... Tax Season underway ... Thompson Reuters picked this time to issue an update and BAM! I can not open my reference materials because the new ProView crashes about 1.5 seconds after opening. What kind of monkeys do you guys employ to script our software? FIX IT DAMNIT! I have clients depending on me NOW, not next week or next month, but today, Feb. 21, 2018! Yes! Thank all that is good in the universe, my ProView is back to working! Thank you TR, but next time don’t use me as a beta tester, verify an update actually works before releasing it!.Version: 4.0.1

Great app!A great way to access my legal content. Especially appreciate the ability to download my content for offline use. Thank you!.Version: 4.1.1

Surprisingly goodMy previous experience with legal ebooks has been poor to say the least so I was prepared to be disappointed with the White Book civil procedure but actually it's very good. Annotations are synced between the iPad and PC. It's easy to navigate and find sections and quick enough to use in court. I recommend it to others..Version: 1.8.0

Working well but the search function needs a tweakFurther to earlier review comments I am adding some feedback about the search function of the App, which equally applies to the embedded version in a windows browser and the PC desktop application... Kerly 16th Edition The search function seems to have a blind spot and will not pick up a particular exact phrase match “under the sign” which I have been trying to search. The search keeps returning 1268 hits which is for a search of the word “sign” on its own. The exact phrase “use of a sign” works properly returning the exact phrase with 77 hits. So for for some bizarre reason the word ‘under’ does not seem to be indexed - there are no hits if you search it alone. By contrast the word ‘use’ is indexed (it should be as it is very important in the context of this book) returning 4898 hits. Anyway please could this be looked into since the phrase “under the sign” is relevant as a search term in trade mark law. Response to the developer response:- Thank you for the fast response to my earlier comments. The ‘create pdf’ feature is now working. I have emailed you separately ref the other comments raised in my initial review. Using this with Kerly’s Law of Trade Marks - a massive tome that cries out for an electronic version. Works well enough but could be improved by 1) a smoother zoom in/out function- it is clunky, and 2)a way to make the page occupy the full screen like you can in Kindle. Otherwise a fair bit of real estate is lost to the permanently fixed navigation controls, title bar etc. Oh and 3) most important of all, they seem to have taken away the create pdf function that is proudly proclaimed in the ProView user manual. So no way to create a pdf of a particular page to print off when you need a hard copy reference. Please could we have this feature back..Version: 4.0.1

No complaints from meI find it to be a very convenient product for me, I regularly travel and have the requirement to access the superannuation & tax handbook whilst on the go and can't access my laptop or desktop computer. It has many features but I like the basics such as allowing me to add notes and mark pages for when I next need to access the IPad. Overall, it's an impressive product and value for money!.Version: 1.8.0

GreatNo issues/crashes to report..Version: 4.1.1

Great ResourceEasy to use, all i need as a tax preparer!.Version: 2.1.1

Updates dragging it downSecond Edit: the recent update has fixed the compatibility issues on the iPad Air 2. It now displays the legislation correctly and is easy to use. I’m glad to say it’s now a solid legal referencing tool. Edit: despite the developer response, absolutely nothing has changed. The browsing functionality is still impossibly poor and a significant downgrade from the prior versions. This isn’t fixed. Happy to send screenshots if the review isn’t clear enough. The functionality and layout of this app was great. The recent update, however, is not so much. On an iPad Air 2, the titles of chapters within the Acts are now cut off. It’s now impossible to see what sections of the Acts correspond to which chapters, or even which divisions apply to which parts. Now, without an encyclopaedic knowledge of which Sections accord to which Parts, its extremely difficult to find the required sections with any speed at all. It’s also on the smallest text size already. This really needs to be rectified. Only being able to search sections via the table of provisions cuts the functionality in half, and makes it impossible to browse sections whilst keeping another section open. Prior to this update, I would’ve recommended the app and given it 4 or 5* - it had multiple search paths, ease of use improved with time (and experience with the app), and it has good, current case law and seems current..Version: 4.2.0

Much better than beforeI tried to use ProView in 2017, but it was a horrible interface and didn't work well. Coming back to it (August 2020), it's much better. The bugs and freezing seems to have stopped (from what I have seen so far), and the interface is easier to use and navigate. Basic improvements (i.e. having page numbers and being able to type in the page number I want to go to) finally makes this app useable. To make it even better, it would be great if the arrows keys on the ipad keyboard moved the pages along, or insert internal hyperlinking (e.g. from the contents page and index), but I'll settle for usable for now!.Version: 4.4.0
