The same app was sold as My First Words, when you updated that app cards which you had paid to be unlocked (and customised) were suddenly locked again and you had to pay again to unlock them. ✓ Waste of moneyI downloaded this app on my ipad for my 2 year old son. We both really liked it and I loved that we could add our own cards. I decided to buy the $.99 expansion pack to unlock all the cards. Well the cards are not unlocked and now I can't get the sound to work on my ipad. It all works on my iphone, but I'm not letting my son have my phone. I have reported my problem to the developer and got no help and reported them to itunes yesterday and still havent got a responce from them. ✓ Could be good - but flawedOn the surface, this is a great learning up *if used as designed*. The problem is that toddlers never play "by the rules", and the app does not handle any of the edge cases gracefully. In "Find The Object", you can easily break the slide transition by rapidly tapping the screen, for example - which my 2-year old does frequently. In that case the audio cue never plays because the app is busy saying "No, that's not it" for the wrongly clicked item (or "You got it!" because the correct image was tapped accidentally without ever hearing the clue). The program is full of bad user experience cases like that one, making me suspect that it was never tested on the actual target audience. Try the free version first and see how your kid handles it..BluT4BVersion: 4.1

✓ Lame!We can open the app but can't select any of the flash cards anymore. I'm not sure when it stopped working. We had this app a long time and when it updated one time we lost a ton of sets of flash cards that they now want us to purchase plus lost all the flash cards I had created. Now I recreated a bunch of those flash cards but can't record any audio for them. There doesn't seem to any help or updates since we lost functionality. I'm pretty sure we paid for the first version. ✓ My first rip off!Please explain why this app has the same content (voice and pics) as a previous app called My First Words - which stopped working for many who paid for it including me. ✓ Freezes!!My son loves this app. In theory it's great but this is the third time it has frozen on us. When I reinstall it's back to normal for a few days then freezes again. ✓ Record buttonThis app was perfect for my daughter who is just learning to talk. I also had issues with the record button. However, for me the customer service support was outstanding. They apologized for the bug and introduced me to their new and improved app "bitsboard pro". This app is amazing and well worth the money. When I try to record their name, the app won't work. I have e-mail the help e-mail and they won't respond. ✓ Doesn’t work on IPad 5th genMy 18 month old loves playing on this app on my phone. We go over the words together, it’s such a great learning tool. However; I decided to add it to my 5th gen iPad so we could see it on the bigger screen. I even paid the .99 upgrade just like I did on my iPhone. I was disappointed when I pulled it up to find that it won’t make any sounds (saying the words). I checked the volume, even went into the settings on the app to make sure it showed the sound was on. Frustrated, I deleted the app and reinstalled it to see if it would work, but it still won’t say any of the words with the pictures. On top of that, because I deleted the app, it took away my expanded package and has locked half of the flash cards again. Please fix!.Ashparker18584Version: 5.2

✓ Nickel and diming youI have both an iPad and an iPhone. I bought the expansion pack on my iPhone, but that apparently doesn't transfer to the iPad, despite the fact that both devices have the same Apple ID. I say "apparently" because they haven't bothered to respond to my email asking about it, despite the tag line "Unlike most app developers, we believe in excellent customer support" on their website. They are certainly failing to "WOW [me] with awesome support.".DethruschVersion: 4.1

✓ Rip OffThis app was awesome when it was made the first time by smart baby apps. Then that company mysteriously disappeared and this new company has the exact same application. Everything is set up the same way. All the smart baby apps stopped working after an update, and support just disappeared. Now they come back under a new name, but everyone elso who already purchased has no recourse. DO NOT BUY AND SUPPORT!!!!!! UPDATE: no response from customer service about this issue. ✓ Watch out for this company!As others have stated here, this app is the exact same one previously sold by Smart Baby Apps. That app stopped working as the company disappeared and no one ever heard back from their customer service. Now it has reappeared under a new name, but apparently - contrary to their claims - their customer service is equally nonexistent. I don't care about a wasted 99 cents, but I loathe dishonesty, especially when this fraudulent company targets parents of little children. Talk about bad karma! ✓ Really great, but...I actually love this app for my 20 month old. I added a picture of each family member and their name so she can recognize them. It's just what I was looking for. However, and I had to take two stars off for this, there's no way to lock the screen in to the flash cards. ✓ Speech therapyThis is a great flashcard library. The pictures are great. I like that the game feature but I work with kids just learning these items and it would be really nice if I could choose how many flash cards showed at once- for example when I first introduce a word I like to show it in a field of 2, then move up from there. ✓ Can't add my own cards no supportThe app doesn't work like it is suppose to. Sometimes not just my kid can't hit the buttons, but neither can I! Configured wrong or something I'll select something 10 times sometimes before it actually opens up that set of flash cards, other times we have no issues. But my big issue with this app is I can't record my own flash cards like it says, the app has access to my microphone but it simply doesn't work! I emailed twice about this issue to app support over 2 months ago and never got anyone respond to my issue about not being able to record sound for my flag cards via my iPhone 5.
