✓ Fun app and works better than expected!I didn't have super high expectations for this app but thought I'd give it a try. To my surprise, it's great and works really well! It doesn't record a lot of dead air either which is good, but does record if something is muttered, baby cries or whimpers (she's in room with us), or we snore. It's easy to use to record, and easy to play and save the recordings (and easy to delete those you don't want too). Also, it's kind of fun because you can share the recordings of the best with other users of the app, or hear the entertaining ones they post. I don't review many apps at all, but Thought hear guys deserved it. Give it a try for fun! I think it gives you a pretty strong indication of your quality of sleep too, and how many interruptions you may be getting throughout the night! ✓ Useful and FascinatingIf you're curious about whether or not and how much you snore, talk in your sleep (and what you say...), sleep walk in the night or anything else, this app is well worth the price ! It's ideal that it only records when there is a certain level of noise because you don't have to listen to several hours of audio to pick up what might be one or a few significant minutes. The sensitivity level of the recording is really impressive and I had to set mine to low because at medium, it was picking up traffic sounds outside my (high floor) condo, and the sound of fans kicking in in the building's hallway. Occasional reviewers who say they aren't hearing anything may just be among the fortunate who sleep soundly and quietly through the night !.Version: 6.2

I have to listen to each previous night just to hear myself! The only problem I see is that the time is off on the recording. I know I turn the TV off before I fall asleep, so when I hit the button, it's already off, but every night the beginning of the recording, at around 2am, it starts and my tv is on. ✓ Helpful for troubled sleepersI always thought I had a sleep-talking problem. My ex-boyfriend said so, and he hated it because it spooked him (apparently a really deep voice). Also, sometimes I would wake up with hair in my mouth. Anyway, this app is great, now I can finally hear it for myself. I just turned it on at night and it captured every sound in my bed room. First there was some light snoring, and then there was this throaty breathing sound. I must be a real deep breather. Also, I guess I pull my hair when I sleep and chew it (don't laugh, I think it's a thing called tricophagia), which makes this weird wet noise. Aside from that there's a lot of other rustling sounds because I toss and turn a lot. My sheets are always wrapped really tight around my chest and neck in the morning. I'm a weird sleeper, which is why this app is great. One time was this huge BANG and my dog started growling but I slept straight through it. But the problem is all the scratching and rustling sounds don't get picked up by the mic right. I turn it up as loud as possible the next morning, and there's this high pitched whine and static distortion. I swear it sounds almost like a whisper saying "GET OUT.".Version: 6.2

I set it on a 15 minute delay and then record for 7 hours. It's never failed to record the entire time or to play back. I keep it charged all night. ✓ This App Helped Me Get Into A Sleep StudyAfter years of insomnia, sleeping poorly, and having my partner tell my docs I sounded like I was sawing logs all night, I still couldn't get any doc or specialist to order a sleep study for me. Why? Because I was told athletic women in their 20s/30s/40s didn't fit the (mostly male) requirements for sleep obstructions. That is, I wasn't overweight, didn't have a big neck (?!), and was otherwise healthy on the outside. This app changed several doctors' minds about my alarming sleep sounds, and finally got me in for two overnight sleep studies. Granted, the first time I asked if they would listen to one part of the app recording, my doc was sceptical. Undeterred, I played a section that the app highlighted as particularly bad. And my doc was astonished. After 10 years of being ignored by every doc I saw, this app helped me get a diagnosis of complex sleep apnea. Basically, my brain just stops breathing in the middle of my sleep cycle. I now have a V-PAP machine to keep me breathing, and I am getting about 4-5 hours of sleep a night. It may not sound like much, but it was more than I had been getting for years. Thanks so much for making this app so easy to use and easy to identify the worst sleep moments. I will come back and update this after using for a period of time. I am having difficulty reading / seeing the icons and text. This interface has to be using a font size less than 1 or 0.5. Incredibly small fonts. They are out of place compared to the control buttons. I cannot even read the text for the icons on the side of the main recording / activation screen. The only fault I found was it not remembering where it is in a playback if I switch (not quit) to a different app. Eg. I use this to capture my dreams as I describe them during the night. The next day I go through the recordings and write anything I say into a separate app (Mac journal).
