✓ Satisfying enoughDespite some drawbacks, this game delivers some great nostalgia for anyone familiar with it, although a bit less satisfying than the original, its mostly enjoyable for a couple bucks. A few drawbacks: - music doesn’t play without headphones :( - controls less than ideal. Charging xbuster is automatic, which is more annoying that you might think. Dash/dodge and jump can be painful, especially at first. The Face is arguably the hardest enemy with these controls - no stage effects (when you beat a boss it doesn’t break a related stage) for some reason - a little glitchy and slow at times. Mech suit doesn’t always show up.Version: 1.04.00

✓ It's good butI really like this game I've beaten it on all modes and gotten all the power ups 3 time one for each but I did have a problem with wide screen it's just zoomed in and like a lot of others have said that's just lazy plus each new area has a pause like megaman classic and that's not the style of megaman x. ✓ Worth the price, but a butchered port sadlyAs a hardcore MMX fan, owning the game for the SNES and also the Super Famicom, this game falls short, but we are lucky to even have this available to us. The touch controls are terrible, but its all we have so you will just have to get used to them. I noticed that sometimes you will hit the "jump" button, the button will light up but X won't jump, which killed me a few times while playing through the game.. That to me, is a pretty big flaw, how could they f#<¥ that up? The graphics, in my opinion don't look as nice as the original.. I dunno, they look unpolished, but its doable. First world problems. One thing that was another huge flaw is that beating a particular level will cause another level to be affected (eg. Penguins stage is supposed to freeze Mammoths stage over), however you will not see that in this port. Wtf right?? That was kind of a big deal, if they could do that in the 90's then why not in this generation? One more negative to add is that the enemies are much easier to kill, even on harder difficulty levels, which takes away from the challenge, but with these touch pad controls, maybe its necessary. Also, gamers of this generation don't seem to be as "hardcore", as games back in the day were typically much more difficult and didn't hold your hand with annoying and long tutorials. So there are some problems.. Its not as good as the original MMX, but hey, its still MegaMan X and its one of the best games out there, even today. Its fun, its fast passed and action packed. It has cool bosses, interesting level designs, hidden secrets, upgrades and has one of the most incredible soundtracks of any game. Buy it, play it, and enjoy the ride. ✓ Mega Man X3 mobile please!!!!It would be fantastic if Mega Man X2 and X3 got the same treatment as this game for iOS. I especially want to play Mega Man X3 on iOS, that would be fantastic, especially if Axl was added as a new playable character, that would be a dream come true. Please Capcom give Mega Man X2 and X3 the same treatment as this game for iOS, that would be a dream come true!!!!! It could be called Mega Man X Mobile Legacy Trilogy. What would also be amazing is if there was a Mega Man game made especially for mobile devices, it could have similar gameplay to games like Jump N Shoot Attack or Monster Dash etc. Where you run automatically, then tap one side of the screen to jump and the other side of the screen to shoot, then there could be sections where you ride Rush and have to avoid obstacles by holding the screen go go upward, then letting go of the screen to go downward. Then you get to upgrade your weapons and abilities as you progress. Then you could buy other playable characters such as Proto Man, Bass and Roll etc. Then you could also buy a Mega Man X theme, where you could play as Mega Man X, Zero and Axl etc. Then instead of Rush, you use the Ride Chaser instead. ✓ Great gameWhile I appreciate the effort gone into the updated graphics, I really wish it still had the classic snes graphics. It's a retro game with retro gameplay at the end of the day so there's really no need to tinker with the visuals. 16bit graphics woukd have only added to the charm. ✓ Needs widescreen supportThis is a good port of MegaMan X in most ways. There are some odd things, like the way levels are divided into "screens" and don't scroll the whole way through. Plus Flame Mammoth's stage doesn't freeze after beating Chill Penguin and there aren't power cuts on Spark Mandrill's stage after beating Storm Eagle. The controls can cover part of the screen you need to see, particularly when bosses have you pinned in the bottom left corner. An update that allows the controls to be moved to the edge of the screen would help. Other than that, it's a good conversion, the HD graphics look good, the remixed music is great and it pretty much plays exactly like the old SNES game. It's definitely worth your time if you were a fan of the original. Also, easy mode will really help beginners learn the intricacies of the game!.Version: 1.03.22

✓ Amazing!!This game gets a lot of crap but it actually does the original justice. It runs smooth and the controls are surprisingly good for iPhone. All the stages are present and there’s even challenges to keep the game fresh. The almost cartoony art style may not be for everyone but I feel that it fits well with the game. This game adds in screen transitions that were absent in the SNES version. Whoever chose to put them in made a terrible idea. To add insult to injury the transitions are just a blank black screen. The classic Megaman at least had better transitions...and that was in the late 80’s. There are in-app purchases though, which allow you to get all the armour and weapons before you even start the game. I get that some people just want to experience the game without much difficulty but this takes away from the feeling the original gave you. The original gave you the sense of growth as you gained more weapons and armour, and that feeling becomes absent when buying the micro-transactions. Other than those 2-3 issues this game is pretty good and I think it is worth your money and time. If you’re a Megaman fan and want to have the blue bomber in your pocket or just someone wanting to try it out then I think you’ll enjoy..Version: 1.04.00

✓ Amazing...but...This entire game is incredible from it's intro progressing through a crumbling city to its final boss battle. But I have to say, this version seems very toned down. I'm not saying it needs amazing graphics, but the intro stage especially shows a definate lacking of graphics. In the original, the road was being torn apart by enemys ahead, and it really felt like both the enemys and you had an effect on the enviorment around you. But that's not here now, often preventing the immersion the original had. That doesn't take its sheer genius away from it, i will definatly continue to play it for hours on end, but it really would be nicer if it was closer graphics wise to the original..Version: 1.03.20
✓ I have an ideaI am a big fan of all the megaman games but megaman X was overall a hundred percent my favorite series. So when I saw megaman X was getting added to iOS I was freakin out! When I bought the iOS version i saw the graphics were intensely good. I mean I do like 8-bit pixelated graphics but that for me doesn’t fit well for mobile. I easily like this better than the 8-bit megaman x. Also the ending is a little different in this one Do not read down if you don’t want to get spoiled X is standing on a cliff looking at the castle break down and fall into water as in the 8-bit version I can’t remember 100% of what happened but I think it just showed x dashing, now this may be wrong so don’t hate on me if it is but what I am trying to say is that the end is a little different. I like this ending better though. Here’s my idea Capcom please make a megaman x2 for mobile that starts close to the end of this one. Because the 8-bit megaman x series games all continue from what happens in the game before it so maybe you could make a slightly different megaman x2 just for mobile. Thanks for your consideration. The separate game save slots replaced the passwords, there is now an easy, normal, hard, mode to entertain all ages. I'd recommend easy for 8yo and under. This is still a great classic, mixed up a bit between SNES and PSP versions. I like the colorful graphics, gameplay and sound track still rocks! ✓ Great game, dodgy controls and graphicsThe original Mega Man X on SNES was a classic, this game is just as excellent on iOS than on the Nintendo system. There are however two major gripes. The first is the controls. As with all iOS games there is only the touch screen to control which doesn't lend itself well to a platformer like this. The dash so fun to use, and it gave me a way to speed through the game. Finding the secrets were really satisfying, and made me feel good. My only flaw with this game was the length. ✓ What I think of the gameThis is a mostly solid port. First off, the touchscreen controls are OK since I’ve gotten used to them, but people haven’t really been liking them (I think). Some people say the new sprites aren’t good, but I personally like them. It’s kinda like bridging the SNES and the PSP versions together. Also, why are the stages not affected like in the original? Flame Mammoth’s stage doesn’t freeze, so they put the Heart Tank in a different location, and in Sting Chameleon’s stage they filled that one section with water so you could get to the Heart Tank. But otherwise, I like the Achievement and Shop features, so beginners can get an easier start with the shop while veterans can use the Achievements to test their skills. The difficulty levels can let noobs get an easier time or pros can try to beat it on hard. I also love the second soundtrack you can get in the shop. It’s nice how they replaced the original pictures with Maverick Hunter X art, and a little introduction with the words from that game’s opening. Overall, it’s not perfect, but it’s solid..Version: 1.04.00
✓ Great mega man X game.Ever since i first heard about this i wanted it, other people's views on the framerate etc didn't change anything. Nice colourful flash styled graphics, the controls work really well & i haven't notice any framerate problems. A 16bit graphics change for older fans would be amazing. I'm kinda hoping the 3RD story mode difficulty is 16bit, it's probably isn't bit if it's hard then great but i'm guessing it's a update due to no one being able to unlock it..Version: 1.00.00

✓ THANK YOU CAPCOM!!!Omg thank you so much for creating a Megaman X app! Now I can finally play the first game of this series and so far I am lovin it. I love the easy mode for suckers like me, and the interesting achievements that are set out. The graphics are pretty good, wish it was more reminiscent of that of the original. And it's great to hear the original soundtrack so clear! But I completely recommend spending the extra money for getting the remixed soundtrack! It's so awesome!! ESP the remixed Sparkmandrill Stage. I wish I could buy the soundtrack for my iPod somewhere. The controls however on touch screen are kinda tricky, really hard to manually charge if you want to play like original. Thank god for the app cheat list of auto's to fix that. And the quick slots also take a bit of practice, really I think a weapon change button would be better. The stage cuts are also kinda annoying, wish it was one long stage like the original. And cutting out some of the intro story also annoyed me, since I was looking forward to an experience like the original.... guess I still have to buy it someday. I hope CAPCOM will continue to make more of the MMX titles (hopefully all if not 7 too) into apps. I am ESP waiting for 4 now since that is my fav. ✓ Absolutely fantastic! Aside from...This port of the game feels just like its SNES counterpart with new things like achievements, multiple difficulty levels and time attack and ranking modes. However the controls don't just aren't as good as using a controller, the charm like when defeating chill penguin, flame mammoth's lava won't freeze is gone and despite the fact if you zoom your screen out there's a blue border around the edges of the screen but not the whole of it. I you want a better portable Megaman X experience, there are many better options, including the original game on the New 3DS, but it is still overall a very good game and for £2.29 it's definitely worth it for new players..Version: 1.03.20
✓ Controller support please!Mega Man X brings back many good and some frustrating memories from my childhood. Now that iOS supports controllers, this game would benefit a lot by using that. Either way love this game and thanks for bringing it to the mobile platform. Cheers.Version: 1.04.00

✓ Amazing gameLiterally have been biting my nails waiting for an iOS release of this game and boy am I glad that it has been released. This game is just as amazing as the original if not better. Megaman X is a game that I have always loved. From the snes to the PC emulated versions I have played it over and over. I love this game. The graphics update is smashing. ✓ Problem?I played the game start to end and I have to say, what's the problem? Sure the game has its flaws, but it is definitely not a 1 star game. I for one enjoyed the graphics, achievements, difficulty settings, auto charge and rapid fire. However, there were things I didn't enjoy, such as Mega Man's framerate and the fact that you have to pay to access the arranged soundtrack. I hope in further updates they will improve the framerate issue. Overall I thought it was great and I hope they do this for X2 and 3. 4 stars..Version: 1.02.20

✓ AwesomeThis game is literally everything I could want for an “I have like 100 hours on my hands how do I use them” kind of game, just I play it even when I do have something to do. I could probably go on a lot longer about how amazing this whole game is but then the review would be really really long.
