Resident Evil Village for Positive User Reviews

It’s RE8.It’s a great port to mobile. Am I mad that I’m not getting to play this at 8k 240fps? No. I couldn’t do that on my pc anyways. But I am on my 3rd play through on my iPad so far and this game is amazing. Yes it has some bugs but to be able to actually play re8 and not rely on a cloud service I can deal with the bugs. If you’re a resident evil fan I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get this. For the people complaining about having to buy the game after you download. REALLY? Why is that a problem? I would kill if every game that came out gave me the chance to play it before actually buying it. Stop complaining and get this now..Version: 1.1.2

No backbone controller supportI’m not sure why this game doesn’t have proper usb type c controller support.Version: 1.1.2

App OptionsAwesome on iPhone 15 Pro Max. Fonts in Options Settings are very small, please fix this.Version: 1.1.2

Played on iPad Pro M2 and it was smoothHopefully Capcoms initiative will usher in more developers to port to ios and iPad os.Version: 1.1.2

Don’t know how Apple pulled it offTotal file size with all DLC is about 15GB, amazing. Turned graphics settings to max and played half an hour on iPhone 15 Pro Max and battery dropped from 100 to 95, I was expecting a much faster drain. I don’t know what tricks Apple is using but it is incredible. I have been complaining for years about the lack of console games on mobile and I am so excited to finally have them back..Version: 1.1.2

The AAA experience we've been waiting for.Apple has finally done it. After years of comparing their products to console quality gaming experiences; it's finally here. Obviously there's there's a few tweaks to be made here and there. Other than that, it's absolutely incredible! I CAN'T WAIT To see more developers finally taking the plunge and making mobile gaming like this possible.Version: 1.1.2

Even better on iPad M1?It generally runs very well on iPhone 15 Pro Max. But interestingly I found it runs even better on my iPad M1 at full settings and almost full resolution. That’s amazing and for me, a far better experience on the bigger screen. I also tested and found the game runs beautifully when connected my 4K HDR Samsung TV in “docked mode”. The used my Airpods to get better audio than my TV and I sat back and enjoyed the first 20mins – never played the game before. The phone does get hot (iPad was better tbh) but it wasn’t unacceptable at all. The battery life will be an issue here, so I’d recommend cabling for that or alternatively using a battery back. Overall graphics are insanely good on these devices and with great framerates. I’m excited for the future of gaming on iOS devices..Version: 1.1.2

W gameThis game is good but don’t play this on touch screen bc you can’t really aim and the phone get really hot so i would recommend a controller if you want a smooth and reliable option but this game is overall pretty good is well made and the graphics and gameplay is super good i will definitely recommend this game to anyone without a pc. hope this help.Version: 1.1.2

No issues so far: iPad M2 8gb RAMMuch better than I expected, better than on Steam Deck. Works perfectly fine with controller (can’t imagine someone trying to play this type of games with virtual gamepad). Looking forward to get RE4!.Version: 1.1.3

Honest opinion (15 Pro Max)Game runs okay 30-60fps i dont think i was able to play at 120 even if the option was available, Graphics it can be change as you please but it will be laggy. On high settings the phone will definitely get hot, the phone will defined need a cooling fan added to the back On medium and low the phone will only get warm Now when it comes to gameplay and controls feel I personally prefer the touch controls over a controller. And here is why with a controller i noticed a lot of input lag which made it difficult to play but with the touch controls i felt much quicker as if i was playing COD mobile, the touch controls can be customized but not fully i was definitely enjoying the game once i found the right combination of settings for myself. This whole new console game coming to iPhone has a HUGE potential i just dont feel like the current iPhones 15 pros dont have the hardware to make the games fully enjoyable and competitive once other games come to the library. PS. I really wish apple would release a controller that you can attach to your phone ( on the sides ) that leaves the back of the phone free to where you can add a cooling fan, a cooling fan is definitely needed. Also i wish apple would give the iphones external monitor option to avoid black bars when connected to a monitor via hdmi or usb c.Version: 1.1.2

Color me impressedThe title ran perfectly on my m1 iPad at full specs, taking advantage of virtual memory swap. No slowdowns and full frame rate (I do have a TEC IPad cooler though, so I’m sure that made a difference. That being said the price is fair for the full game, and I look forward to downloading it again when I can afford it and checking the rest of the game out. Amazing work dev team..Version: 1.1.2

4 stars - impressive but not perfectI was very exited to hear apples new A17 chipset can run games like resident evil and AC Mirage. Playing this demo I learned that the default settings are not the settings any iPhone pro user would enjoy playing, lag and slowdown not only made the game feel slow but also led to cutscenes Audio desync. I recommend 30fps cap and bumping down the resolution to 720 or 900. I have yet to test 1080 but the resolution the game defaults to leads to bad performance..Version: 1.1.2

No problems here, pure awesomeness!!!I adjusted the graphics to hit the sweet spot! I read a couple of reviews saying they don’t have the 120hz option on their phone? I have it so I don’t know what their issue is but I hope they get it resolved. My experience with the actual game is amazing!!! I had only a couple of fps drops but nothing crazy, I play with a backbone controller and it works splendidly! I’m so excited for the potential of more games coming to the mobile market. This is was something that was needed a long time coming to other options than the P2W games that have flooded the markets. One game, one price thank you! This game is absolutely worth it, especially if you have a controller..Version: 1.1.2

Great gameGreat game enjoyable.Version: 1.1.3

See it to believe itAbsolutely amazed as to how on earth they have managed to port this game. Graphics can be a bit of a blur on iPad Pro M1, but performance is great. Don’t even think about touch screen… and go for a controller instead. Kudos to the developers for allowing to play the first section of the game for free, and the hefty discount upon launch. If you have not played this before, or want to show off what your iphone/ipad can finally do, go for it! For years Apple has promised console quality gaming… and only given breadcrumbs of it, despite powerful hardware being readily available. So this finally looks like they are ready to deliver on that promise… Only issue is battery drain (10% gone in a few minutes) and can heat up the back of the iPad. But this is to be expected with everything going on screen. Not nearly as hot as with Divinity Original Sin 2. I have already completed this game so many times on PS5, so only reason for not buying it now, even with the sale. Can’t wait to see what comes next!.Version: 1.1.2

Next step in gamingThe ability to download and play a AAA game and play on my phone is amazing. Yes, downloading and installing was a bit more complicated than normal. Breath, slow down - it’ll get there. I used an Apple dongle to connect the phone to the TV and play with a controller. Some lag present in the cinematic scenes and controls. Overall, I’m excited this is the way games are progressing and hope to see more AAA games make themselves available on the iPhone..Version: 1.1.2

Almost perfect!Game runs extremely smooth and is beautiful on my 11 inch M2 iPad Pro with 8GB of RAM!! I can’t imagine how much better it looks on the 16GB of RAM that the larger iPads have. Love the customization options, love the fact that it doesn’t take me 2-3 days to download like it does on my PS5 and Xbox Series S (I have horrible internet). My only issue is the black bars on my iPad, I wish I could play it at full screen just like the iPhone and just like how genshin allows on the iPad. Much more satisfying and immersive experience. Again, LOVE the customization options! If apple keeps pumping out AAA games and release them day and date with the consoles/pc then I feel no need to run and grab a gaming pc!! Hopefully Dragons Dogma 2 comes & arrives on the release date! Would love if apple started creating AAA story driven and multiplayer exclusives of their own👀 you know, to prove just how seriously they’re taking gaming now..wishful thinking.Version: 1.1.2

Not bad can’t wait for other future gamesSo far I’ve played only the beginning and I have yet to purchase the full game, overall it’s not bad, try playing on the lowest graphics but keep it to at-least 60 fps or 120 for those on iPad. Controller is recommended but I got used to the touch screen gameplay as I’ve played Games like Call of Duty Mobile, Apex Legends mobile, PubG, Etc. Overall it’s an amazing game and with proper wifi connection, good skills, and some space in your storage capacity, this will be an overall amazing game! Cheers to the new era of mobile gaming! And let more improvements and games flourish! - From a long time mobile gamer..Version: 1.1.2

Very good gameplay and graphics but poor optimisationI have played this on ps5 so when i played this on my m2 iPad Pro it was an amazing experience. However i would pick the ps5 over this not just for graphical clarity but for optimisation. It is lacking on this version of the game but still very well received from me. 👍.Version: 1.1.2

I'm impressedLooks good, runs smooth, no complaints about file size or price. The phone gets a little warm, about like when it's charging, but that's hard to avoid considering how hard the phone chip is working. There is a minor delay with dialogue in cut scenes, but that's a small issue. Overall I'm impressed and hope to have more titles like this in the near future..Version: 1.1.2

Previously didn’t know how to dload filesI previously reviewed this poorly due to a UX issue (didn’t know there wasn’t touch controls to begin downloading files) - I’ve since been able to download the files and it’s an amazing achievement. Only giving 4 stars now as it seems to crash after about ten mins of gameplay consistently..Version: 1.1.2

Not great in iPhone, but sure is on iPad!I think it could be much better on iPhone 15 Pro, but it’s a start, it can look better over the years. However in an M1 iPad Air it’s good! I do think the M2 will be more of a sweet spot to make up for compromises you make on M1. Once the cheaper base model iPhone and iPad can handle these AAA games, it should finally start to look appealing to a lot of people, not just core fans like myself that wanted to see how well it could do!.Version: 1.1.3

Cool I guessTook forever to download on my iPad. Took me a while to figure it out I’ve never played resident evil so it’s all new to me. And phew once you find zombies it can be intense at least for me lol. Don’t think I would play this on the iPad though. I may try it on the Mac sometime idk. But seems like a good game. It is pretty cool we can play these games on apple devices now. Oh at some point in the game it will cost money..Version: 1.1.2

Honest review (iPhone 15 pro max)All settings don't matter you'll get around 30-45 fps with constant dips on lowest settings why even give us a 120fps option if the system cant run at 60 raising the graphics only lowers your frame rate maybe the game will get patched to run more smoothly at 60 then it'll be a great experience. Only good thing to come from this is the thought that a-lot of other games from publishers put their old less graphically intense games like Skyrim and tem-tem onto the apple store The fact that this game can run at 30 fps kinda is good hope for other games less powerful to run at 60fps (which should be the standard fps instead of 30) Would love to see all the mega man legacy collection games come to Apple.Version: 1.1.2

Running smooth on 120 fpsI am really excited not particularly about game but for the future of mobile gaming. iPad pro m1 can easily run on 120fps mode with full hd resolution. And upcoming m3 iPads will be much powerful..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing achievement by devs getting this on iOSThis game is awesome, and I was pleasantly surprised by the app size too, 16 ish gb is amazing for a game like this, the only issue being my iPad Air 5 M1 does tend to heat up a fair amount - it’s given this will happen with a game like this, although I wonder if there was any magic the developers could work to get this running at cooler temperatures without sacrificing too much graphics… awesome game none the less !.Version: 1.1.2

CrashGood graphics and ok fps but the game is not fix I had some crashes in graphics increases proces I hope to fix this problem.Version: 1.1.2

Just try it!!Good game some people use iPad sey not really good idk about the opinion about iPad but on 15 pro max game running perfect !! who can’t play on pc belive me is worth that to play on phone i use game pad 👌!!!.Version: 1.1.3

SUPERB with minor Audio bug in M1 iPad ProThe game looks phenomenal with High settings in Quality mode on the M1 iPad Pro. The one thing i notice is that the Audio unsyncs in-between Scenes from the characters lips movements. However if you Pause and Unpause it fixes itself…. Maybe is due to the high settings (or not) but it’s definitely a bug right out of the gate. I am playing on 60fps at 1600p res. Textures no more than 1gb. Bloom and Lens flare off..Version: 1.1.2

Console like experienceI’m running the iPad Pro M2 with 1TB storage and 16GB memory. The game runs at max settings 2732x2048p with MedalFX Upscaling on Quality, getting 40 to 45fps. It’s very much a console like experience, comparable to the PS5 and Xbox Series X. There is a free demo version available to play right away after finishing downloading the game. I highly recommend trying it..Version: 1.1.2

Great port, but still earlyI jumped on this game day 1 and it is Really good! I’m very impressed how well it runs at 900p and 1080p on my phone. All in all there’s a lot of potential here. That being said, I have found some day 1 bugs. Nothing too wild but if they clean this up a bit I have no problem giving this game 5 stars. I already bought the full campaign and the DLC because I have faith this is going to go well..Version: 1.1.3

Port of the console versionI’m actually really surprised that this is running natively on the iPhone and now being streamed. It looks so awesome and it’s exactly like the console counterpart! Now I can finally play resident evil when I’m on the go! Super glad that Capcom was able to do this, can’t wait for RE4 Remake to be available on here too!.Version: 1.1.2

HORRIBLE IN IPHONE 15 proI CANT PLAY THÉ GAME IT ALWAYS CRASH ON ME.Version: 1.1.2

AmazingIt’s crazy I can play this on my phone. Not only that but it runs and looks great. There are a ton of graphical settings too. Best of all is the price, so cheap even with the dlc. If you have an iphone 15 pro or pro max and like gaming, this is for you. This title shows that mobile is more than capable of AAA games and it can’t be ignored as a “console” any longer..Version: 1.1.2

Incredible PC level portWhen I heard games such as RE Villiage, RE4 remake and Death STranding were coming to mobile devices like the iPad and IPhone 15 pro I was incredulous. But since downloading it on my M2 IPad Pro I have been blown away. This is RE8, the full feature release with no compromises. In addition, the graphical settings to tailor the experience to what you want are amazing and up to par with anything you’d find in a PC release. The only thing is I would recommend a controller, as playing a game like this with touch screen is atrocious..Version: 1.1.2

Great. Keep em coming :)Runs nicely on an M1 iPad pro.Version: 1.1.3

Amazing! No issues with any aspect of the free part of the game, just downloading the base game now as I had to buy it. Played perfectly on iPad Pro m1 12.9 and iPhone 15 pro max. The graphics settings could be ramped up a lot on the iPad but I didn’t try that on the iPhone yet. I used the Xbox pad and kept forgetting I wasn’t playing on the Xbox. Such a well polished game and so far I have no complaints at all. Kinda shocked the iPad and iPhone can play such fantastic games with no issues. In my eyes it’s a must buy, but at a minimum it’s a must play even for the free part, which is quite sizeable itself..Version: 1.1.2

Good gameIt’s a really good game of course. Never max out your graphics 💀.Version: 1.1.2

I love thisI love the ambition here, and I hope that there are even more console quality games out in time for the m3 ipad..Version: 1.1.3

Triple A Gaming Before USOne: I’m livid with the complaints after my best experience with this game that I’ve had from the Series S and Steam Deck. Do all of you own Series X, PS5, and gaming rigs? So far as I’m concerned, the critics can be ignored with prejudice. Two: Triple A gaming is now present and alive in the Apple ecosystem: Genshin Impact, Divinity Original Sin 2, Formerly Fortnite, Civilization VI, and Resident Evil Village. Three: This will help spur the upcoming gaming development now being advertised at present: Resident Evil 4 remake, Warframe, and so many more are coming, let’s not beat the major development company bringing much needed development to our platform while they bring something that was overdue from their competition, including one that abandoned us when they didn’t like the cut that Apple took out which is the same as the cuts that Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, and others take out. Four: Honestly, I’m inspired to see if I can make an honest go at this, seeing as I can now truly see what the platform is capable of..Version: 1.1.3

Resident evil villageI’ve been waiting for this since they announced it was coming to mobile I’m giving this 4 stars because only a small group of people can play this and the mobile controls are a bit difficult I come from call of duty mobile where I’m pretty good at it and this games controls just feel odd the full game is only like 15 I think so not that bad.Version: 1.1.2

Très bon jeuxJe suis tellement heureux d’avoir un jeux de cette qualité sur mon ipad pro et j'espère qu’il en aura beaucoup d’autres. Merci 😃.Version: 1.1.3

Cool featureI love how it starts to load up, searches for additional DLC then crashes to the home screen on the iPhone 15 pro max. Pretty cool feature 👌Sure it runs beautifully if I ever get to play it.Version: 1.1.2

PauloI wanted it to work on the iPhone 14 Pro Max soon after the game launches for various consoles and now it has arrived on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max it is available then I wanted to see if it arrived on the iPhone 14 Pro Max I will wait, thanks for the feedback.Version: 1.1.2

AAA games on iPhone and iPadIt would be great if touch control was optimized..Version: 1.1.3

15 pro maxRuns good , very happy , more games needed!.Version: 1.1.3

Running smoothly on iPad Pro M1 but with no mouse/keyboard supportI don't use a controller and the on screen one is horrendous. I simply don't understand why there's no mouse and keyboard support especially on the iPad....Version: 1.1.2

WowI am playing it on my M1 iPad and it runs smoothly without any issue. Just I wish it did not require net work to start the game. But all in all great experience..Version: 1.1.3

It‘s so fun. When I played on the computer, I was very satisfied with this game. When I learned that the iPhone 15 could play this game, I bought one directly to play Resident Evil 8. Feeling the great fatherly love from it can be said to be the best work of the Ethan series. It is exciting😵‍💫, scary 😱and scary, and is deeply loved by me, a Chinese player. I'm already looking forward to December's Resident Evil 4🤩🤩🤩.Version: 1.1.2

A good game but I prefer to play on other platformsIt runs pretty stable 60fps I would say. But if you want higher quality then it starts to get a bit sluggish, still very enjoyable though. I tried the demo on iPhone 15 pro max but ended up getting a steam version because I find this game really fun! If you like mobile experience, this iOS version is completely fine. The fact that it now runs modern AAA games is amazing! Really looking forward to RE4 and death stranding now!.Version: 1.1.3

Almost PerfectThis runs significantly better than I ever would’ve imagined on my iPad Pro (12.9”, M2, 16GB). I was expecting to have to set the resolution to 720p and have all graphics options set to Low, much like you would on a handheld console such as the Valve Steam Deck. Although I have only played through the demo portion thus far, I’m getting consistently smooth framerates at 1080p with a lot of the graphics options turned up to almost max. This is with the caveat of using MetalFX Upscaling set to Quality. Whilst it does improve performance, the image quality isn’t on the same level as AMD’s FSR or Nvidia’s DLSS. There’s a noticeable softness to everything that I don’t see when using FSR on the PC version of the game. I don’t know if this is on Apple’s end or CAPCOM’s, but either way, it could use some improving. My only other complaint about this port so far is the lack of keyboard and mouse support. iPadOS has had keyboard and mouse support since 2020 and multiple other games make full use of it. Going from using KB&M on PC or Mac to having to use a controller, or god forbid, the on-screen controls, takes a lot of getting used to. Especially with this being a port of the MacOS version, I’m really not sure why they decided to omit support for it. It would be great if it’s added in an update, but I won’t get my hopes up..Version: 1.1.2

Excellent version of an excellent game.As someone who doesn’t own a PlayStation/Xbox I was happy to get the chance to play this on my iPhone 15 Pro. I’ve played through the entire game and pleased to say it was a sublime experience. Runs well and looks fantastic. I’m sure the console version is the BEST way to play but for a mobile game it’s right up there. Playing with a controller is essential (touch screen controls are dreadful). I used a Switch Pro controller and a USBC to HDMI cable to connect to my tv and it all worked perfectly with no input lag. Only issue is it’s a massive drain on the phone battery so charges every 2 or 3 hours is necessary. Very impressed overall. Can’t wait for Res4 now!.Version: 1.1.2

BestAnything in this game is absolutely great . Do not hesitate to buy basic game.Version: 1.1.2

Audio issueIm not sure if I’m the only one but the audio will not play on the iPhone’s speakers I tried deleting and reinstalling but still no audio. When I try to use wired headphones only the cutscene audio is delayed but normal audio like guns shooting sound good. This could be that I have my setting too high but I’m still running at 40-50 frames so that shouldn’t be an issue. Great deal as of now..Version: 1.1.2

GreatPlays perfectly on iPad pro m1, with a dual shock 4 controller, a few settings needed to be adjusted..Version: 1.1.3

Great game, others are too stupid to get runningMAYBE TRY FREEING UP STORAGE IF YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME IDIOTS.Version: 1.1.2

Game running smoothlyI would recommend this game to play on ios it running good but in some areas it shutters and some people are saying it crashes maybe it is beacuse of the change in graphics settings just play on default it will run good.Version: 1.1.2

Brilliant EffortGreat port, especially at the release celebration price! Plays as you’d expect on console but on a nice little tablet! M1 IPad Air user here and holds a decent framerate while looking crisp. Only negatives that can be said is the IPad gets very hot when playing while also some frame drops at default settings. Great showcase for what’s possible and what’s to come with these M-Series device. Bright Future if Apple keep encouraging devs! Really wish an FPS counter was included to optimise the settings to the best possible for this device. (I could be wrong I simply could not find it).Version: 1.1.2

Amazing just need optimizationPlayed the game for a few hours, you need to buy a controller for the best possible experience. Overall the game runs smooth with some stutter time to time. Some in game cinema have the audio a few seconds off, I had to pause the game for the audio to sync. I rate the game a 4 stars at its current state, but once the game is optimized I will easily bump it up to 5 stars. It’s amazing to be able to play AAA game on an iPhone, I am excited to see more games..Version: 1.1.2

Where’s the restI’d play about 1 hour and the game was just good ( not perfect because of fps and graphics issues ) on IPad Pro M1 But after 1 hour the game ended and I wasn’t able to continue and faced to this message : You can purchase the base game via: Online Store.Version: 1.1.3

Best game on Apple Store right now!Everything goes smoothly and the graphics are amazing just like i was playing on ps4 with remote play but even better u download it and that's isn't....totally waiting for RE4 and division and I hope more games like this will be added my wish is GTA5 i just hope that one day it will be released.Version: 1.1.3

Perfect PortJust finished the Castle portion of the game (several hours in) on my m2 iPad Pro, and the game looks and runs amazingly well. Absolutely no complaints regarding visuals, gameplay, and performance. My only complaint is that I can’t play it on the TV (either as external display or mirrored) while taking advantage of the full screen real estate. Would be really great if a display resolution setting was available that matched the external display dimensions rather than just the oddly narrow iPad display to make playing on a larger screen more appealing. Here’s hoping more developers release iOS games of this caliber. Pro Tip: Keep the iPad plugged in directly (not through the Magic Keyboard) while playing or you’ll be draining battery life pretty quickly..Version: 1.1.2

IPad M1 reviewThis works great on an iPad with the M1 chip. PS4 controller works and had no heat issues. Graphics are not jaw-dropping stunning. They are pretty good and for the small screen size it's hardly an issue unless you highly value visuals. There are lots of graphic settings, I believe most people can find a decent set up. No stuttering and super low latency with the controller. You can try the game for free before buying it. I highly suggest giving it a chance and see if it's something that works for you. This could be a start of something big if Apple follows through..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing! Finally a game to use my iPads M1 properly! When I saw this game announced I thought it’ll look rubbish like other games, graphics will lack something, when I saw they offered a free trial I gave it a go and boy was I wrong! I have a 128GB iPad Pro 11” M1 with 8GB RAM, I didn’t change any default settings, connected an old PS4 controller and I am having a fantastic time! The graphics are simply stunning, truly are and finally my iPad can use its M1 power, amazing chip. I have since bought all the available purchases for the game and have played it every day now. I played this game before on console, but the idea of having a current gen AAA game on my iPad that runs very smoothly and looks fantastic was too good an opportunity to pass. I am keen to see how the speakers add to that ‘baby’ section of the game… I also bought the game to support these types of premium priced games on iPad. The more the merrier..Version: 1.1.2

Really impressiveI'm playing on pro Max and game looks beautiful and run good. I have pretty small hands to, so I did full touch controller customisation, resizing and made opacity what's suitable for me. It works good. If you don't have massive hands you can definitely play like that. Game need some performance patch for higher settings on iPhone. Otherwise thanks for this opportunity to play AAA games on the go. I was dreaming about this day already years. Phones are powerful enough and hopefully different games are coming out to..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing!I cannot believe this game is running natively on a mobile device, after running my game for 30 minutes, 900p , medium settings, metal FX Quality, I had a stable and enjoyable gameplay! Looks amazing!!!!! I can’t wait for the future gaming on mobile. Assassins creed has my eye but this game ran beautiful for a mobile game. After 30 minutes my phone went to 46c , no overheating dimming or anything, and I dropped 12% battery. And I’m in a humid room that’s hot. Amazing..Version: 1.1.3

WildIt’s crazy that this can not only run on an iPad Pro, but it even runs well and looks well. I originally played this on my PC, but I think I would’ve had a great time if I had originally played it like this too..Version: 1.1.2

My god!Was a bit sceptical at first on how well it would run (iPhone 15 Pro). But from the get go, it’s astonishing. Graphics, animations and frame rate is top notch for a mobile game! I haven’t tried the screen controls since I have a controller (8Bitdo SN30 Pro, which is compatible with iOS) and would advise you to get one or similar. It does consume batteries so keep it plugged preferably. Also, if like me you have a USB C portable screen (or TV), you’ll enjoy it even more (magsafe fan is not a bad idea, if plugged to a screen). The game itself is engrossing from the start and will purchase it for sure. This is hopefully the beginning of more AAA games to come: great job!!.Version: 1.1.2

Great with an iPad Pro ‘M’ class & Dual Sense Controller via USB-C. Make an M1 iPad Mini!Having played this on several platforms now. I can definitely say that iOS holds up well to the MacOS AND PC versions. It is responsive when using a Sony Dual Sense via USB-C and the upcoming ‘Gaming Lens’ mount. Sadly the ideal iPad for gaming that would compete well with small AMD gaming consoles like the Steam Deck, would be the iPad Mini, which was notably missing from any 2023 Apple events. With an ‘M’ class processor, 8GB memory & 256GB or 512GB storage, along with 5G connectivity, would make this both a cloud and local gaming “Elephant” to contend with. Otherwise, like the Goldilocks tale, running Resident Evil Village is either too big or too small on what it can be run on, with the iPad Mini being “just right” if it was available. Also, even the M1 runs hot and you can see the battery drain right before your eyes. I’d say 1-2 hours will be max on a charge. Of course you can run it charging, but then you lose the low latency USB controller connection. You can use a powered USB hub, but than you are left with tangle of cables, and frankly this is suppose to be a “mobile” experience. I guess the good thing is the competition doesn’t fair very well either for battery powered use. Overall, a smart direction for Apple. Oh and don’t forget ‘Alien Isolation’ also exist, and will run on the iPad Mini 6th generation too..Version: 1.1.2

I don’t think some people are seeing the big picture. The fact this is on a phone is a milestone in gaming! First, on the main page it recommends to use a controller. I use a backbone and it works and runs perfect. I do not plan on using touch controls. Second, graphics are adjustable and on certain settings can make you stop and look around. The phone for me at the settings I run does not over heat and if I max out the graphics I would expect it too. PCs and consoles have fans and they still get hot and run loud. Why wouldn't a phone with no fans? Yes, there are some glitches and some voice sync issues but nothing game breaking on my end and I am sure there will be updates and fixes. For the first at bat Capcom great job! I will show my support for the hard work that went into this. Already purchased and will be buying RE4..Version: 1.1.2

Love Touch Controls as Disabled GamerI have a C4 Spinal Cord Injury and can’t move my fingers. As a result I can’t use a controller even the mediocre Xbox adaptive controller. Don’t get rid of the touch controls. I say this because I see people putting 1 star for the touch controls but what they don’t seem to understand is that touch controls gives disabled people like me who loves resident evil the ability to play like everyone else. Overall great game. I’m loving it but you do need to fix the bugs because the dialogue doesn’t match the scene..Version: 1.1.2

Console level Graphics on the goDownloaded this the day I purchased the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The graphics are insane it’s like I have the PlayStation 4 in the palm of my hand..Version: 1.1.2

RE Village ReviewI got to say, back in the old days when iPhone 4 and iPod Touch were a thing, Resident Evil 4 moblie is a lite version of the console we know in love. More of a decade later, here we are: a complete full game of Resident Evil Village, playing on a M1 iPad Pro. What was the result of it? They really pull it off with this quality. I’m really impressed. However, playing on a touch screen, even on the iPad, is just doesn’t work for me. I should definitely need a controller in need to have a huge experience for it. What’s good also is the price of the base game. CAD$21. I was worried that they would charge the same price as the console because this was released a while back, but they didn’t. I recommend playing this game. It runs well, no issue so far..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing to play on phoneOnly crashes with higher graphic setting. Overall pretty amazing port from pc and consoles..Version: 1.1.2

This is what I’ve been waiting forI have been on Apple’s ecosystem since 2009. I waited in line to buy the original iPad and from that day I could see its potential. I am a big gamer and also do all my work on an iPad. I have been dreaming of the dat when proper games like REVillage would be playable on the iPad. I am very excited for RE4 remake as it is one of my all time favourite games. I sincerely hope that this is just the beginning for gaming on the iPad. To have my computer, content consumption and game console in one device would be the ultimate flex. I am currently running the game on the M1 iPad Pro and so far have found it to be as good if not better than playing this title on the Steam Deck. To be fair I am only just about to reach the castle and will update as I progress further, but so far I am very impressed. Controller is a must to fully enjoy the experience. Thank you apple and CAPCOM..Version: 1.1.2

Amazing!Game runs great for it being on an iPhone 15 pro max. I used the backbone with it and it worked flawlessly. Default touch controls layout is not ideal but after repositioning my buttons, adjusting opacity/size and changing the aim to toggle instead of hold, it’s a completely viable way to play. Can’t wait for resident evil 4 and death stranding now knowing how well this runs!.Version: 1.1.2

Handheld Gaming EvolutionSo far I am about 6 hours into this game on my 15PM and I must say this has blown me away. The experience of playing this game on my phone reminds me of the first time I played my Switch. A full blow Triple A experience on a small convenient device I carry around everyday. Don’t be fool you definitely need a controller but thats fine since I would much rather play with a controller. I recommend this game to anyone to buy and try. This really makes me hope that capcom and other companies start bringing more games over to the iOS platform. I would love to see Monster Hunter, Dragons Dogma, and SF 6 on here..Version: 1.1.2

What the hellIt’s actually a miracle that this runs so well, max settings at 120fps and my only issue was a but of input lag because of my Bluetooth controller.Version: 1.1.2

Some game bugs with FPS and Controller. It is actually insane how you guys did this ……… this is the true mobile and iPad gaming experiences that we were looking for ❤️ . Some bugs I found in the game : 1- using 120 fps option form the sitings make the game run on 30 or less frames, meanwhile when using the auto fps option the game run on 120 fps on my iPad ( IPad Pro 2021 - 11 inch ) 2- while using a PS4 controller the game has a little bit of delay with the right stick on the controller ,but 0 delay with the other buttons. Thanks you Apple and Capcom for making this possible ❤️ ..Version: 1.1.2

People playing this game, get realLeaving a one star review because it’s not optimized for touch is ridiculous. Of course it’s not optimized for that. Grab a controller and play it properly. Everyone who does that is much more able to appreciate the work put into this game.Version: 1.1.2

Console quality game on an iPadRuns well on my M1 iPad Pro, the touch controls are pretty bad though so you’ll definitely want to use a controller. also you should definitely set fps cap to 30 or it overheats too quickly.Version: 1.1.2

Console quality gamingSetup: Switch Pro controller on an M1 12.9 iPad The game runs like it’s on console and looks just as good. Yes, my battery drains fairly quickly and the iPad does get a little warm. But jeez, what a time to be alive. Current gen console quality on an iPad. Even if you don’t like resident evil, please support the next contender in the console wars. Consumers only benefit from options and Apple is finally serious🫡.Version: 1.1.2

Well doneThis game is phenomenal on my iPhone 15 pro max. Graphics are great and runs quite smoothly on my phone. However, I keep running into this issue where sometimes if I exit out of the game the screen will freeze and I’ll be forced to reopen the app.Version: 1.1.3
