How It Works: digital edition for Negative User Reviews

Update broke itBefore the latest update I could access the app. Sometimes a bit slow but was fine. I like the app and I have bought all issues for the last 4 months. However since the last update I can't access the app at all. I have restarted the phone and ever reinstalled the app but still no luck. Fix it soon or I will be cancelling my subscription..Version: 2.2.6

ConfusionThis and all the other "free" magazines are a con because when you download them it then asks for £2.49 for each issue, I don't think it should be on the free list because the content you download it for is NOT free!.Version: 2.2

Rubbish don't buy!!!!!!!!After downloading this twice I am still just getting a black screen when I try and view it, email them the problem and they send you an email back saying your problem is "deemed solved"?????? They've done nothing!!!!!.Version: 2.2

Um hello free?No idea why it said free.Version: 2.2

Not free!!!!Very annoying, nothing free about this magazine. The app itself is free to download but 4.95 per issue if you want to read it. Have no time for scammers like this lot. Be upfront and you might get more subscribers..Version: 2.2.6

Patch neededPlease sort out this app. I can no longer get it to start up. It neve gets past the opening screen before it crashes. I am looking for money back from subscription as I can't read anything. SORT IT OUT, please!!!.Version: 2.2.6

What is this 💩?The newsstand feature is an interesting idea but it will never take off for the price being offered. These magazines are saving in production costs by going digital but seem to feel they're still entitled to the retail magazine price. Get a grip guys..Version: 2.2

Doesn't work on ipad nevermind iphoneI feel that the only app that works really well on an ipad is the Reader's Digest app and that's because of the size of the magazine. What we need is an ipad with a bigger screen!.Version: 2.2

Needs an updateObviously the content is good, the content isnt what I’m reviewing though. The app is a bit messy and its hard to focus on stuff, there hasn’t been an update for the new ipad sizes so it doesnt fit the screen properly and it just looks old and tired. Still love the content though.Version: 5.6.3

Not working with new updateIPad update for this app freezes.Version: 3.1.2

We need to try it outThe problem with many magazine offerings on iOS (and all the other platforms), is that the interface can be tediously slow and the layout, dull and unimaginative. We really require these days to have a sample version to move through and test. I think I would enjoy a good number of these issues but… a. I have no idea what is included in each magazine b. I feel reluctant to pay for a random issue, only to be disappointed by the same old scanned PDF offering all over again (it may be brilliant, but how do I know?). So, please provide a sample few pages to view and include an index to the subjects covered in the various issues. Thanks. Oh… and by the way, sure you can orient to landscape mode for a static preview (although it wasn't clearly mentioned), but that is no indication of the interactivity within the magazine itself. Also, the contents page is far too tiny to be legible. I think this typifies the problem with the thinking surrounding mobile development. These are not magazines, they are something different. Delivering the same content, albeit digital, in the same format is not the answer. Magazines are tactile. It's about the glossy pages and scanning from one page to the next. It's not possible to do that on a tablet without panning, swiping and zooming. It's a lot of work for not much reward. You have all this extra power at your disposal, so use it. Make the page dance. Nuff said..Version: 2.2

MissleadingNothing is free.Version: 2.5.8

Family sharingBe aware, my wife bought a subscription to this mag, but despite having family sharing turned on, and it previously being accessible, the app no longer seems to support family sharing. Very disappointing, I was enjoying the content..Version: 5.2.3

Terrible!!Don't waste your time..Version: 2.2

How it WorksThis mag has fantastic content and articles for paper editions. However your digital Edition is just not worth purchasing because its not designed for smart phones, iPads and other digital devices. You have to always resize the articles by zooming in to read and scrolling around the screen. Pixel Mags I suggest you invest in a subscription of National Geographic Emag and look at just how a digital mag should be presented. As a consumer of your product I expect to get value for money with an advanced reading device. It's time your tech boys went back to the drawing board and produced an app that's a worthy contender to Nat Geo..Version: 2.5.8

Not happyDon't waste your money as when things go wrong they don't want to help. Lost all the issues I've bought when I switched Internet providers and after repeated emails they still haven't responded..Version: 2.2

Works like PDFIt's like paying 5 bucks for reading PDF... These guys should learn from National Geographic magazine iPad edition..Version: 2.5.8

Why pay?Nothing is free in this app. Not interested paying for electronic information when I've been getting it free all these years. When I buy a magazine I want the physical item not the information inside..Version: 2.5.4

RubbishComplete waste of time..Version: 2.2

I would have spent my moneySo it's a free app, but as I saw it has the little "+" at the top of download so I knew it would probably cost to get magazines, which is reasonable. But, not a single sample at all, all between 3 and up to 14! dollars for a digital copy. A bit much and considering they don't bother even throwing in a few pages even from an old magazine for a sample is enough for me to delete the app..Version: 2.2

No retina support, bad reading experienceThis is the first item I ever requested a refund for (the subscription fee). I use Zinio and like that, so when this appeared in the Newsstand, it looked cool, so I got the 6 month subscription. That was a serious mistake. The magazine content is not optimized for the retina display, so the text and graphics are jagged when viewed close up. Next, the tap-to-zoom features don't work properly as on other apps. If you double tap to zoom in, it doesn't intelligently fit the area you are zooming in on to the display. Instead you get an arbitrarily large zoomed area that will only let you see part of what you zoomed in on. Further, there is no article text view mode like you get with Zinio. You have to try to read the articles while zoomed in with jagged text. It is like someone took a low-res screen shot of each page and you're trying to read the magazine while only being able to see small bits of what you are trying to read. Zinio lets you pull up and read an entire article using real text (think ePub) or you can read the article as originally laid out by the publisher. Stay away from this app until they fix these problems..Version: 2.2

How it works: economyMy god I'm fed up of reading reviews from people that are so ignorant...do you really think they are going to give this stuff away! Seriously!!! How exactly did you think they would make money from it? And don't use the excuse that you paid a lot of money for you phone! Because guess what theres a 100 other phones you could of bought instead! So don't blame the billion pound company for you wanting to buy their shiny product! The app it's self seems fine ive never had any problems with it, it's easy enough to use unless you are brain dead although it is definitely designed with the iPad more in mind, but still it does exactly what is supposed to so unless you are just another complainer it's fine!.Version: 2.2

Terrible misleading appMisleading and deceiving. Not free at all. Disgusting.Version: 2.2

Complete garbageI can't even figure out what this program is supposed to be. Is it a reader? Anyway there's no magazines included. There's nothing here. What did I download? Dumbest waste of time..Version: 2.2

Not FreeIt's a come on. Ditched it. Might feel differently if the current issue was included as a sampler..Version: 2.2

Do not waste your 3G data with it...Fake free app, it is just a shortcut to show paid magazines..Version: 2.2.6

How dare they! This is not free. Nothing in the Newsstand is free including the free section. What's Apple even thinking of when they added this sham and included it as part of iOS 5 update. Unbelievable!!!.Version: 2.2

DislikeNot for iPhone 5, so irritating that it's purposely blurred as well when viewing pages.Version: 2.5.8

Issues are hard to readI don't understand why people complain why this is not free. It's a magazine so they need to make money just like everyone else here. So just stop complaining about that aspect of the how its made mag. But one problem I have is it is impossible to read a full page magazine with pictures and text that you don't even know what's going on in the magazine because the screen is so small on the iPhone 4s. So I would reccomend just to go buy the physical magazine..Version: 2.2

Bad MarketingFor all of those that would say, "this is a great magazine and how can you expect something for nothing?" I say, "Because they said so." In legal terms this is called Bait and Switch. They should give at least one sample to shut up the crowd. There is no excuse for greed. It is the principle of the thing that makes me not want to pay even though I can afford it. All they did here, is get themselves a bad rating and lose potential subscriptions from people that would have purchased if they didn't feel they were hood winked. Insulting our intelligence, you 5 star raters, is not a smart move and doesn't help the company at all. How do we know you weren't paid to say its great? Obviously the company will do anything to make a buck so we can only assume those that rated it with 5 stars are on the take..Version: 2.2

Good, fun magazine but poor resolutionEnjoyable magazine full of interesting articles, but the low resolution together with small text size means fuzzy text at any sensible reading size. I have perfect vision and a retina display and there is still an issue. Please improve, the Top Gear magazine is a good example of high res text that doesn't have this problem..Version: 3.1.2

Great mag. Aweful app.If you want to know what this app is like? Pick up a previous 'how it works' mag. Take pictures of each page. Then read the pictures. That is literally what you get. There has literally been no attempt to optimise this for an I device. No double tap to focus on text, you have to do that manually. Then the mag takes an age to re focus when you zoom, so much so that you think it has not responded, so you reinput, then it does all the commands at once. Aweful aweful aweful! Please at least pretend that you care about the product you put out then I might consider returning..Version: 2.2

Not freeI subscribe to the mag and thought it would be good to have an i version too. Unfortunately a further fee is required. I suppose i will have to stick to the old format and delete this "free" news stand item. A note for the creators: subscription holders should have this i version included in the fee… arrange this please..Version: 2.2

MisrepresentationThis was shown as free. Once the app is download, it was not. How could anyone trust what is said in your magazine to be truthful..Version: 2.2.6

What kind of morons live on this planetWhy are people expecting a £4 magazine to be free in digital format. App reviews are to rate the content of apps. Not a place for dead heads to vent their anger at their false perception of being conned..Version: 2.2

Pricing structure needs reviewThis is a good publication but the pricing structure makes it an expensive read. Not only are there subscription fees, that subscription does not cover all the magazines. The Special magazines are over $13 each and for a digital publication this is too much.....add the monthly subscription and the cost of the ever increasing Special magazines where the bulk of the content is and the sums get too big to continue to look at this magazine. It's a shame.......Version: 3.4.2

Boo!This whole News stand App is ridiculous. Subscriptions are very expensive. I can't even delete the App or move it into a junk folder, it doesn't move! Get rid of it!!.Version: 2.2

Nothing is freeNothing is free :( Anything is just for purchase....Version: 2.2

FAIL!I bought an issue but I can't even view it on my iPhone cuz it crashes! Pls fix the bugs.Version: 2.2

NOT FREEWhen will apple learn. *shakehead*.Version: 2.2

Waste of time!Unless you want to pay top dollar for this app to actually do anything, don't bother. I wish I could give it zero stars..Version: 2.2.6

Nothing but a scam to get your money! The app it's self is blank, to get material you must purchase their goodies and it ain't cheap! What a waste of time. This app has turned me off the mag for good!.Version: 2.2

Yes there really are free magazines ...Just not here! To all the people (possibly apple staff) who say any one who thought this was free is stupid or a 4 year old monkey(that might have been clever if it wasn't wrong). I receive a free e-magazine every month. If I want a hard copy I have to pay for it. (yes they do exist.) That settled, another point--- if I go to a newsstand or bookstore I can and have previewed and read a sample article or chapter in a book before my purchase; and if I couldn't, I wouldn't. So with this app I will not. That is reality! You know the stuff that dosen't happen on a screen..Version: 2.5.4

CrashCrashes all the time, usually wont even open up.Version: 2.5.8

Interesting content however no access to old magazines like the new scientist subscription modelIt would be better if they included the specials in the subscription fee - was clear as mud when paying for it thinking all was included. Saying that the actual content was entertaining and enjoyed learning new and interesting facts..Version: 3.4.2

AppThe format of the magazine makes it hard to read the font is tiny meaning you need to zoom in and out on each page. Maybe a scrolling format of the articles on each page would be better with embedded images instead of the full page on the screen. Otherwise an enjoyable read with great facts!.Version: 3.4.0

R DugNot as well set out as say Focus mag and this last download won't give me an index The mag is very good just needs a few tweaks.Version: 2.5.5

Deceptive & insulting adThe ad clearly implies that the magazine is free but that back issues are only available for a fee. That's false. After downloading the app you find that nothing is provided free. They clearly miss the point that even providing a single issue, or one article, could give a person some basis on which to buy. There is no reason to download this free app unless you have already decided to buy an overpriced subscription..Version: 2.2

NOT FREE!!!This is just an app to enable you to buy the magazine subscription - there is NOTHING actually for free! SCAM!!!! How do these 'apps' get allowed by the app store?.Version: 2.2

Only the content is goodVery very unfortunate for the iPhone, Pixelmag, News stand feature and all of the people who like reading interesting mags. Really amazing content, really interesting. But an absolute phenomenal let down on image quality and zooming capabilitys!!! With the technology in our hands. The very least these guys can do is deliver some fully high definition renders of these mags. From the moment you open the app and look at the mag for the first time you can see it is blurry and low quality. This is before you zoom in enough just to read the text!! The double tap zoom feature is non functional and not intelligent, usually it will fit the text/image to the screen for optimal viewing. In this case it needs to be manually adjusted to fit screen. IMO This is due to each page of the mag being photographed for the app. HUGE mistake... Image quality is crap! Content is amazing tho but without the rest being up to scratch, it's not worth a penny!! I do not understand how they can sell this in this condition for that price. I am very dissatisfied with my purchase..Version: 2.2

No stars for interactionIf you consider zooming in and out to be interactive, then you'll be satisfied. If you're a subscriber to other mags on iPad like nat geo, pop science and pop mechanics, then you will be very disappointed! All they did was put the print issue into a tablet format. It is difficult to read the content without zooming in 2-3 times and then you have to scroll over, in and out, up and down, all on one page just to see what you're reading about! These guys need to redo their thinking process behind "interaction"and update us before I'll buy a new mag!.Version: 2.2

Should be a free copy.Normally I don't rate anything 1 star as I usually don't like people that do it but don't justify it. But this does deserve it, the whole point of being able to pick up a magazine in a store before you buy is to get a preview. This needs some free sample pages at the very least..Version: 2.2

Misleading."Free", hmmm - should be "feel free to purchase". I'm sure it's a great magazine, but the use of "free" should at least preclude a free issue, and not a free peep show at the cover art... Even at the local magazine shop I can leif through a copy and see if I like it first. Try again..Version: 2.2

It is not free! It is a trickThey mark it as free but it is not free at all. :-(..Version: 2.2

Content Great, Reader terribleLet me start by saying, "love this magazine and it's content." Having said that the reader is terrible. Would like to see it set up like Popular Science and so many other magazines I have, so that there is no zooming to read text and no need to scroll around the page to see pictures..Version: 3.2

Text blurryThe text are a bit blurry to read as compare to the other newsstand app. Please fix? (if it is possible).Version: 2.2

ScamNow I'll never buy anything from these guys..Version: 2.2

UselessPointless spending so much for so little..Version: 2.5.8

Grow up people.Get real people. Did you really think a publisher, like any business, is going to give away it's merchandise? Of course you pay for the pubs. All this app does, along with any other app in news stand that's free, is allow you to purchase issues. What you people seem to expect is to get a flyer from a store for a sale and expect the store to give away is merchandise because you got a advertisement. Get REAL!.Version: 2.2

Just Another Money GrabThey want four bucks an issue with no free issues. Just another company trying to dip into your pockets.Version: 2.2

B.S.It isn't really free all you get with this app is a couple of subscription options to BUY. It is wrongly advertised for being on the free chart.Version: 2.2

Update does not workWish I had not updated as no longer works.Version: 2.2

Informational but crashes very oftenThis app has a lot of info but crashes several times and even after downloading the issue once after it crashes have to download it again. Need to get those bugs fixed please it's spoiling the fun of the magazine.Version: 2.4.3

Sample pleaseHate this. The least you could do is put some sample things in b4 telling us all to spend $4 on this. Four bucks, btw is the smallest price. Maybe some bundle packs would be nice. Like 5 of a similar genre in one pack that's like 5 bucks. See? Simple. Lets us fooled consumers not be so agitated about being ripped off. Anyone who says tht us 'brats' who 'cry' rip off honestly dont exactly understand how we feel about this. We excepted educational stuff to read at night (or any other time) and we r now being FORCED to spend more money than we'd like to spend..Version: 2.4.3

I don't get it!So I subscribed and they sent me 4 issues so far and now they published a special issue that I can't get for free... So how am I supposed to get my monthly dose?!.Version: 2.5.7

Superficial overview of subjects.Magazines skim the surface of topics without going into much depth..Version: 5.6.3

Not greatUpdate: There have been no noticeable improvements with the latest app. Navigation, zooming in, and reading are all still a rotten experience on the iPhone. Original review: I bought this via the new Newsstand app on the iPhone. I knew the actual magazine was an in-app purchase - that was obvious and I can't believe people thought they would get a regular magazine for free. With regards to the way the magazine is presented, I am quite disappointed. It's just a series of images of the individual pages. Therefore zooming in on an article doesn't focus in on the text like zooming does in Safari. You have to pinch and move the article to get it into place. General navigation throughout the magazine is also rather poor because of this. I probably won't buy any other magazines from Newsstand if they all work this way. I guess it may look better on the iPad. With regards to the actual content of the magazine, it appears the target market is A-level science students: good introductory explanations that could entice you to explore further. I'm hoping to see New Scientist in the store soon - but I'll only buy if the articles are presented in a way that's suitable for viewing on an iPhone..Version: 2.2.6

Alright :/It's good, the content is excellent but the delivery method is poor. The app is somewhat jerky and moving swiftly between articles is slightly tricking when it lags. It needs work to bring it close to a seamless experience..Version: 2.2

False AdvertisingApp is free but content is paid only!.Version: 2.2

Lost purchasesPurchased a dozen or so mags and specials additions and I loved them .But as the app upgraded I lost a bunch of mags . Support says delete and reinstall app I did so ,now I have no issues at all and have to fight with support to get them back . Now I'm disappointed and hesitant on ever purchasing another issue from them.Version: 3.4.0

I love the arrogant ones who call us stupidSo they are giving us a free app to download their magazine. Thank you? So what good is a free app if you don't want the mag? Duh. Not all of us are app store savvy. We actually have lives and do other things besides learning the ins and outs of the app world. If you are showing your mag and saying free then you can understand the confusion. I'm in Mensa and I felt misled. So now I'm stupid? Stop being so rude..Version: 2.4.3

Crash is gone but restore purchases and subscription doesn't workI don't understand all these negative reviews about being misleading that it's not free. Of course it's not free crazy people. It works just like all the other newsstand apps. You buy in app magazines. Charging for the app would be like saying that you have to pay for the newsstand on the street corner before you can buy a newspaper. The container is free. The content is not. Anyway....on to my bug. The latest update fixes the crash on load but Restore Purchases and Restore Subscription doesn't work until you shutdown the app completely and restart it. I'm on latest iOS with iPad 2..Version: 2.4.3

Won't let me download!I can click on any mag to download, subscription or special mag, it doesn't matter- each time I click to buy it says 'oops purchase failed' ! So frustrating and it's not because of Internet connection or money in my account, something's up with the app :(.Version: 2.5.8

Total tricks on consumersIs it really free? If it said there was, "app purchase"; (NOT small print if it even says it at all).I might be inclined to purchase the virtual magazines/news papers with the money I DO have. But unfortunately I feel: tricked, taken advantage of and/or lied to because I waisted time downloading the app only to be disappoint due to the fact it was not free at all. It is not the fact that it's not free, rather the fact be that it said "free" there for I get my hopes up and become disappointed. I may sound really critical, I am, but its not because I'm selfish it's because this it's not right look at all the other pour reviews.Version: 2.2

Not sure the pointFree app? Cost loot to do anything with the app after the free download. Waste of time. Don't bother it's a useless app in my opinion..Version: 2.2

Best magazine, but poorly presented on iosI have to say this best magazine to read for curious mind. Got recommendation from friend, been buying paper copy from bookstore since then. But, my only complain is that it is not friendly to read on here, its basically presented as picture or images of text paper which is hard to read. This is are text, should not presented as images. I hope you know what i mean. I have economic magine subscripion, you can read text clearly, scroll down text, change font just like any text on pc. But this magazines just present there stuff as images, i suppose that fine read non pc or tablet, not smartphone..Version: 3.4.0

It's a PAY AppIt's a PAY Per Ussue application. Not even 1 free issue. Not worth the try..Version: 2.2

RubbishAgain another mag advertised for free but once installed asks you to pay for a subscription. Why don't these idiots just say that you need to subscribe and pay for each copy to save us the hassle of having to download then delete such crap each time! :(.Version: 2.5.8

Won't sell anythingPeople don't buy new magazines until they can pick an issue up and have a flick through a few free pages. They won't sell anything without giving at least one free issue away.Version: 2.2

Way too expensive.Well sorry but here is yet another one star. Fact. The issues ARE NOT FREE. Click and you get the subscription price. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, the prices, not having to print the magazine, are way out of line. A digital magazine should be at least half the price as print. By the way, Apple, I can't prove it but you really should stop any and all participation in the review process by anyone employed, paid to review or associated with the product. That's the Fair and Honest way to do things!.Version: 2.5.1

Total BSThe description is written so that you think you can see this months issue for free. Then if you like it, past and future issues are available at a fee. That is reasonable. However this is not the case. You still have to pay the $4 to see the current issue. No chance to see quality. No thanks. I will stick with Zinio. I was really hoping Apple/publishers would get it right. I like the look of iBooks and newsstand compared to Zinio, but Zinio has the content and you can see a sample..Version: 2.2

ScamNothing free.Version: 2.2

RIPOFFFraudulent advertising nothing is free.Version: 2.2

Not FreeYes I know you need to pay for the subs but either call it something other than free or offer a free copy to see if the mag is any good. People new to iPhone will not understand the apps use of the term free and then having to pay an in-app subscription..Version: 2.2

Great content but poor usabilityThe topics discussed are great and the information included is great. However viewing the content is not so easy and not fluid at all. Big changes need to be made to the control and use of the app.Version: 2.5.1

Second Subscription!I've been a long term subscriber to How It Works mag and when I heard it was on here I rushed to get it! However I realised I had to get a 2nd DIGITAL subscription! Why!?!?? The love the mag but I wouldn't recommend subbing to it. Shame :(.Version: 2.5.8

Bait and Switch - they're just lying about "free"I have no problem with companies wanting money for their product. I DO have problems with lying in their labeling. They are clearly labeled "Free" (right next to others that really ARE free), but once you install the app, you find that ALL their content must be paid-for as in-app purchases. Sorry, that's just lying on the face of it. On principle alone I will never purchase their content. Get some ethics, there, Imagine Publishing..Version: 2.2

Hangs***** UNTIL THEY CAN GET THE BASICS RIGHT, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DOWNLOADING THIS APP!! ****** Since this update it now hangs and crashes. Never had any problems with this app before so it's a shame. I hope it's fixed soon so I can receive the content I have subscribed to! New update, but still the same problem. Hangs then crashes. Beyond a joke now. I paid for a 12 month subscription to this mag and have not been able to view it for 4 months now. ***** UNTIL THEY CAN GET THE BASICS RIGHT, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY DOWNLOADING THIS APP!! ******.Version: 2.5.7

We should all be so lucky to be jeffry st. ClaireFirst of all the newsstand store states free. As for the general public not gifted with little jeffries superior brain capacity, I completely agree that this is a classic case of false advertising not to the fault of the misrepresentation of apple as to the agreement of the magazine. Ironically it has soured me from ever subscribing to this magazine because of the shannannagins obviously practiced by the online carrier. By reading the reviews I see I'm not the only one. Wish I would have read them before. Would have saved a bunch of time. NOTHING IS FREE, THIS IS A WAIST OF TIME AND jeffry IS AN IDIOT..Version: 2.2

Future enhancements neededIt it disappointing trying to decide which past issues to read, when all you have to decide is a miniaturised copy of the cover. When you click on it, no highlights of what you can read inside pop up. An enhancement would be if they had screen shots to go with each issue, like what you find when you are think of purchasing any other game or app..Version: 2.2

MisleadingThe app is free, but subscriptions. At least give us a month trial at least or warn us magazines are not included....Version: 2.2

False advertisingHorrible.Version: 2.2

BadWhy do they say it's free??? It's not!!!.Version: 2.2

It's not going to be free is it!?The free part refers to the app which is a platform for people to choose a copy of the mag which you then have to rather obviously PAY for!! Dont know why people are crying cos its not free.. Just don't go getting the 'free' eBay app guys.. You'll have all sorts of problems The app works well and some nice touches, would have given 4 stars but I really think they should include a synopsis of each issue and I would have given 5 stars if navigation was a bit more intuitive (zooming and pinching on text and pics could be better) As for the actual mag it is good quality stuff, high resolution pictures and looks awesome on my iPhone 4! Defiantly the future of magazines, looking forward to updates!.Version: 2.2

Update. Please update this app so the iPhone 5 owners can see at the best the review, because to see the words we have to zoom and it's annoying. Thanks for your time and consideration..Version: 2.5.8

Not for iPhoneFirst of all, this app is nothing more than a portal to buy issues of the magazine, just like every other Newsstand app, so get over the "This isn't free!" hissy fits. Nowhere in the description does it mention anything about free content. My issue is that the magazine looks horrible on the iPhone. I'm sure it's gorgeous on the iPad, but the graphics are too compacted on the little iPhone screen. Also, how does the Pixelmags web reader work?.Version: 2.2.6

Nothing to seeAt least give us a sample article or two to see if we like the writing and format, there is nothing in this app but a link to $3.99 issues. Why not a try before we buy teaser? Instead it's just a blank page. I honestly don't know if the magazine is good or bad but the marketing is terrible. For calling this free I'm feeling slighted, it's like a free admission to a retail store..Version: 2.2

FakeFake rating fake free magz fake fake. Says it has no rating then you check and it because everyone hates this misleading stuff. Steve would not like this.Version: 2.2

Keeps crashing!Whenever I open this it hangs on the "Updating database" screen before crashing after a few minutes. Fix now!.Version: 3.1.2

SampleYou really need to give people a small free sample of wot the magazine will feature on the iPhone. You can't expect anyone to spend £12+ without knowing its for them or not..Version: 2.2

Not freeA sample issue would be the only way I would consider buying and/or subscribing to this!? A free "app" that's useless unless you buy something is not free..Version: 2.2

Pointless! What is the point of advertising an app for free, if it is not free? I understand that a full mag can't be free, but at least give me a flavour of what we can expect then I might buy in..Version: 2.2

Fake....This application is fake and is not free.Version: 2.2

Not phone friendly - expensiveI hate pinch and zooming to read...quality is crap otherwise and impossible to read without zooming around...you would think magazines would take the iBook approach and make it phone friendly...not to mention 3.99 an issue...I would rather go grab it for buck more...not impressed...however the magazine is great..Version: 2.2.6

Too expensiveThe mags should be free.Version: 2.2

Free=Pay?????What is this i guess i learned free to mean something else. I would not even rate this as it does not even warrent a star..Version: 2.2

Downloads not accessibleThe guys supporting this are very friendly, but ultimately unable to help. I have been unable to access any of the items I have bought at all. Recommend this App should not be purchased..Version: 2.4.3

I was tricked !It's not free you have to install this app then pay for a subscription..Version: 2.2

Crash cityThe mag looks interresting so i bought one ($4), however the keeps crashing! What a rip off!! Apparently i can retrieve the mag on my desktop, but that makes the app itself useless..Version: 2.2

Gratuit??? ...Ridicule!Bravo Apple! ...C'est ce qu'on appelle rire du monde! Pour moi "gratuit" veux dire graaatuit, simonac! ...Rien d'autre!.Version: 2.2

Great mag, horrible appApp takes over 5 min just let me view my purchased magazines. Horrible navigation to find the mag I am looking for. Canceled my subscription..Version: 5.2.3

Waste of timeThis is 'how it works'. The app is free but it only gives you access to a price list. Mildly disappointing and very misleading..Version: 2.2

Only got a star because I couldn't give it none.Hmm. It's free but you have to pay. Nice hook but none of my money for you. I might have subscribed if you hadn't tried that shabby ploy..Version: 2.2
