✓ Needs moreThere's not a single lunar app on the App Store that pushes reminders at the exact start and end time of a lunar phase and this app is no exception. Review will be updated to 5 stars once I have the ability to schedule alarms for the start and end of specific lunar cycles. For example if the start of a full moon is at 4:09PM an alarm should sound. The user should be able to stipulate what events they receive notifications for. For example full moon, new moon, blue moon, black moon etcetera. Currently this app only allows the user to select what time on the day of a full moon they receive an alert. For example on the day of a full moon starts at 5:11PM the user would receive a notification at 9:00AM or any other time the user selects. Why not have a setting that is for "full moon start" and another for "full moon end". Have that option for all phases so the user can select which phases they want to be notified for. If your going to make such a specific app why not make it the best... Design and layout is perfect but looks aren't worth a damn without functionality..Version: 4.0

✓ Painful Periods Begone!I am SO grateful for this app! I sought the help of an acupuncturist to help me with painful periods. After reviewing my health history she shared a number of observations, and the first was that my menstrual cycle was not aligned with the cycles of the Moon. She started me on a regimen of seed cycling, and to stay on top of that (among staying on top of, what I now call my Moonstral Cycle), I have been using the Mooncast app. Identifying the dates of the New Moon and the Full Moon is a cinch and happily today I can report that my hormones have balanced with the timing of the seeds and now my cycle is aligned with the Moon and my periods are relatively effortless! ✓ Simple FunThis is not a terribly informative app, but does what it says. It is fun to watch the moon's illumination percentage change and be reflected on the iPad. I love to know when the next full or new moon is, so this is helpful even though it doesn't specialize in new moon info- I just need to look for 0% illumination. ✓ Almost perfect!I have relied on this app for months. It's layout is great, the way you can swipe through days but also have little notes and buttons about to help. It works great. The notifications are good too, the sounds you can set are good for identifying the app without getting iPod or phone out. Which can be handy.
