That said, this company has honored my purchase. Splashtop has not. Ethics are important! They have always answered my (paranoid) inquiries. I rarely use the app, but when I do it works well. ✓ AmazingBrilliant app. Its free and gives you remote access to your desktop which is an amazing deal. Pro version gives you amazing features with high processing speeds. Definitely use it with the VLC app. It's Transfer features make it better than VLC streamer and it is way better than mobile mouse's file navigation and its desktop control is so easy. If you have used air display with mirroring to view your desktop this is way better. Although a lot of the features are only on free trial it's still an amazing free app and probably worth the premium version anyway even though it's a steep price..Version: 3.0.720

✓ Does what it says on the tin only betterI use Logmein to access two computers. One is my parents' computer, where I often need to help - it is in another country. The other one is my Mac desktop at work. I have tried out several versions of VNC and they were above all slow, some were also fiddly and requiring much setup. Also VNC is not secure, so I had to remember to run it over SSH or VNC. Logmein just works: it is smooth and transparent, and apparently as safe as SSH, with additional security elements which I would have to spend much time setting up otherwise. The basic free service of Logmein is excellent, but I am planning to move on to the paid Pro version, if anything because I like to support good service..Version: 3.2.1193
✓ Longtime fan on the desktop; continues to be a fanI've been using logmein on the desktop for a fairly large number of years and have always been impressed at what they have on offer - and how much functionality you have to remote control a PC; and I am impressed at how well this has transferred over to the mobile world - particularly the small screen of the iPhone. While probably not suited for hours of complex tasks (more down to the screen and finger keyboards than anything to do with the app, which handles screen-to-mouse/keyboard quite well) it is adequate for a lot of those quick things we regularly have to do an check, and is a lifesaver for those of us on flexible working patterns - allowing us to carry out our quick checks without having to clear kitchen table space and all that temporary home office malarkey (well, at least until our second coffee of the day :o) ).Version: 3.0.950

✓ Absolutely superbDoes everything you would expect, and surprisingly smooth on an iPhone 3GS, even on a 3G connection. Handles multi monitor well too, as well as more advanced keyboard shortcuts. Very impressive, especially for free. The one time it crashed on me, I re-opened the program and it explained that the iPhone didn't have enough free memory at the time to display both monitors at once. ✓ How did I manage beforeThis app really is useful. I can access everything I need from my desktop from anywhere where I can access the internet. I know icloud is the same, but there are some files I don't put on the cloud due to space issues. Now I don't really need a cloud. Security. Not too sure how secure this is. Time will tell I suppose. Do we trust the app makers, can someone get my login information like they can when using other applications in a public wifi location? Probably best to keep changing passwords. ✓ Best of its kind...Having used various applications of this nature, I was absolutely blown away by Logmein's ease-of-use and ever so simple set up. The app works perfectly over Wi-Fi and strong 3G networks. Not only can you access your full desktop, but the file manager function allows you to copy files from your desktop to your mobile device seamlessly (and vice versa). A very decent feature and worthy of any app in its own right. Navigation is also a breeze in comparison to other remote client apps that I have used. My dad isn't exactly technology friendly and has a lot of problems with not knowing what to do if something comes up on the computer and this allows me to see what's on the screen and sort it out without him having to describe what's come up etc. I wouldn't consider paying for the Pro version, however, because I only need to remotely view and control the screen and that is available for free. The Pro features are things such as transferring files so if you need those types of things then I would consider upgrading, but if you're just looking for a screen mirroring/remote assistance type app, then I would definitely recommend this! ✓ Best app I haveThis is simply the most impressive app I've ever come across, and it's even better that it's free. It's not ad-supported and has all the functionality you could ask for. You can just look at your computer's directory, or control the desktop directly. There is a very forgiveable lag present, but maybe that's just my internet. You can store files and transfer directly to/from your computer from iTunes. There's Dropbox and Google Docs access. You can save passwords. You can rename files, and update your files if you've changed them somewhere else. The interface is just brilliant, it's clever and useable. ✓ Great for business in the goPros: Great app for those who like to travel light, so when away on business or holiday can still access my home or work computer files and most importantly apps like SAP, adobe acrobat professional, Microsoft Word and Excel...pretty much any applications I already have....and use them all from an iPad that fits nicely into a small bag or luggage. And if you have the VPN app, they wirk together to give you secure access to network server files. This is awesome and means I no longer need my work laptop and separate wifi or internet connection to work. Simply ride on the internet of my iPad. Cons: Promised a 30 day free trial, but it lasted only ONE day so I was forced to buy the app without much of a trial period and almost blind faith. BUT it comes down to price, as the useful functions are only available in the Pro version. ✓ Desktop publishing from iPadI was looking for a way to do desktop publishing without moving my computer or buying a laptop since I've only just bought an iPad. From what I have researched there isn't anything out there that will allow me to use my iPad for design and printing just yet. Logmein allows me to use all the power of MS Publisher from anywhere I have Internet access. The only issue I have is how to draw a marque, I just haven't worked that out yet if it's even possible. On the PC it's left click and drag. On Logmein single tap is left click, but tap and drag is move around the screen. Two finger tap and drag is move an object and same as left click and drag but I haven't been able to get this to draw a marque around an object. Strange at first as you move the desktop etc around under the central cursor and select by tapping the cursor but works really well. Just expand the desktop below the cursor for detailed viewing and selection. Tap in front of scrolling bar for scrolling, tricky at first but soon mastered. Basically anything you can do from the pc can be done remotely from the image of the pc screen on the iPhone. Music and video from the pc play on the inPhone at the same time to a good standard. I am on satellite broadband so probably even better on normal broadband connection. ✓ Fantastic, but there is always room for improvement!The company that I work for has been using LogMeIn for a couple of years now, we use it for about 150 computers. Working in the I.T. Field it is extremely useful to be able to hop on any computer around the country and resolve a problem with out having to run someone through step-by-step over the phone. Across our company, our PCs vary anywhere from Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and MacOS, and LogMeIn works well on all of them! However, while it is fantastic, even on poor DSL connections, and works well with MacOS from a client standpoint, it could use some work on a MacOS host standpoint. When I use my MacBook from home to sign in remotely, I notice the app tends to loose connection more, and the app occasionally becomes unresponsive, causing me to need to force close the app. I also notice when loosing connection sometimes, LogMeIn has trouble reconnecting to the client, even though the connection status hasn’t changed. We’re paying about a little under $4,000 per year, which is reasonable for what the product is. We have explored other options that are a little more versatile (like the ability to run repair scripts from the program), but honestly, aren’t as UI friendly or quite as reliable. For the foreseeable future, we will continue to stick with LogMeIn and expand with them as well as we continue to grow!.Version: 4.1.6308

I tried to log into my Mac at home via my iPad but the experience was so time consuming and clumsy that I searched the app store for an app. Why I didn't look earlier is beyond me. ✓ Brilliant applicationI've been using the desktop version of LogMeIn for the last 3 years and it's proved to be an incredibly productive piece if software. Just installed it on my iPhone and I'm sure it will continue to be invaluable for those occasions when I want to refer to something on my desktop pc.
