β Brilliant and funInspiring application for quickly creating tunes. I use Pixitracker primarily as a drum machine and use audio copy to move loops over to Animoog. Works brilliantly. The addition of user sampling is a welcome upgrade. The WIFI transfer makes it very easy to export mixes and import sounds. I initially had a problem with the upgrade and sent the developer an email. He responded almost immediately! Highly recommended and a fantastic value..Version: 1.1

β What I needed!I really wanted to love sun o&x but it was more complicated than I needed on ios. Pixitracker is intuitive, fast and looks good! I'm buying the 1bit version as well. My only request is a glitch pack built in, and maybe more 8-bit packs, but I'll eventually get around to loading my own packs, when I stop having fun and RTFM!.Version: 1.2.3c

β Simple and funThis is a super dooper easy sequncer that is very basic but could be used to easily make some crazy beats (move over beat maker1 ?). if you're lookn to hash out a whole song, this wouldn't be the app to use. if you wanted to make some weird beatloops to use in sunvox loopy, this app could prove very useful! my only hang up with this app is that you can only use 16 sounds at a time. it needs to let you have multiple banks of 16 that you can use - with more sounds, you could probably make a nice entire song with this app....Version: 1.1b

The sheer value of this app is incredible. Add to that a visualiser, .wav song exporting onto the iDevice or over WiFi, saved sounds... β Retro Sequencing GoodnessI confess - I downloaded this a while back and when I opened it and saw the cartoonish graphics, I dismissed it. However, I stumbled across it again recently and I became totally enamored. This is a serious tool for anyone interested in tracker composition. And, having used a number of them going back to the Amiga and early DOS PCs with my Gravis Ultrasound card, I have to say that this is the easiest tracker I have ever used. I've been enjoying LSDj on the GameBoy and other retro tools, but if you want to experiment with something on a device that you carry around with you all the time (iPhone/iPod/iPad), you can't beat this. On top of that, you can sample your own sounds and it has AudioBus support! This may have a playful look and feel, but it is a truly professional composition tool for those interested in tracker-based music sequencing. Kudos to Mr. Zolotov!.Version: v1.2.3b

Iβve wasted a lot of time and money on apps, only to discover this little gem years later. I just hope Iβm not too late to the party and this keeps going because Iβve finally found my app of choice. Itβs fun with the right amount of depth to create some original sounding material. Chip-tune is not my thing but samples definitely are. β Great and underratedI love pixietracker because I can make a custom rhythm very quickly and it's timing is dead on. As many musicians would agree, the drummer in the band is the central tempo setter so a drummer with fluctuating timing just won't do! I appreciate the rock solid timing in this instrument and highly value ALL Mr. Z has contributed to the IOS music scene. β Exactly what it claims to be.Update: Still one of the most fun, quick n' dirty sequencers for iOS. Great little track maker. I never have regrets over buying a Zolotov app. They are some of the best you can get. I love Korg Gadget, but still have Pixitracker, Sun Vox, and Virtual ANS on my phone. They're too unique to delete. Having played with this app for a bit, I am now writing a review. Normally I wait a bit longer, but not this time. I got this app because I remembered the amazing product that was Sun Vox. I never got to fully utilize that monster. I got rid of my iPod and closed my iTunes account and when I opened it back up, Sun Vox was no longer there. I miss it. I got pixitracker because it's $2 and I like what Mr. Zolotov produces. I love it. I said love. It is perfect if you own the Moog filtatron or the animoog. The fact that you can import your own sounds and then use audio copy/paste from other apps just destroys most other apps in this category. It is not as full featured as some of the other apps but it more than makes up for that with it's simplicity and functionality. The only thing that would be cool to have in an update would be a tile editor to create your own pixel tiles. Maybe it already has it and I just haven't found it yet. Having the option to rearrange the pixel animation screen would be welcome, also. If you have the moog filtatron, record something into it, filter and modify it, and then paste it into the pixitracker. Repeat. Now, say goodbye to the rest of your life..Version: 1.5c

β Great Sequencer w/ Logical WorkflowI've been creating loops in this program for about 6 months now and I am very impressed with the workflow and sequencing power! the factory sounds are kinda boring, the only ones i ever use are the 8bit and 8bitfx sound banks cause they have great 8bit samples. another great feature i appreciate about this program is exporting to wav, and the visualizer which is based on whatever you sequence. great app for making simple sequenced loops of varying lengths but i wouldnt reccomend if your looking for an all around production app..Version: 1.2.2

β Great! If only..I wish I were able to layer track sets on top of each other, like you can layer tracks on top of each other. Copying the beat into each track set (1, 2, 3, etc) is tough, and it's easy to make a mistake here and wipe out earlier progress. More undos would be nice too. β Great, but could use improvementsSo far this is the best built music composer I've found in the app store. It's very well designed but there are a few things that bother me: - The notes are half a step lower by default than the actual note on the piano. I always have to increase the tuning. - You can't do tri-step beats. Everything has to be on a bi-step basis. - The tv-view thing could be implemented better. From pixilang back on my old tower, to a copy of sunvox and every system I own, I've never been disappointed in his applications. PixiTracker follows perfectly in the footsteps of his past audio ventures, stripping away everything, but remaining innovative and inspiring to work with.
