The One Bible App for Negative User Reviews

Loved It B4 UpgradeThis was one of my favorite apps until it upgraded. Now, each time I pull up the app, it pulls up an ad 1st. No problem when WiFi is available, but the majority of the time, I’m out & about with no WiFi & it takes eternity for the ad to try to load & it completely blocks your ability to see the Scriptures until the ad fullly loads & displays. It’s becoming increasingly difficult & made me now need another Bible app as back up when this one won’t load. They want u to pay to remove the ads, but I ALREADY paid for the different bible versions I wanted. It really stinks for those of us that were already here b4 the upgrade to OneBible. We should’ve been grandfathered in or something. Ijs..Version: 3.22

Ruined!A really good ap completely spoiled for me by the adverts. I thought, when I paid for the different translations, it would be ad free. It was for many years, but now access has been ruined by the full page advertisement. I feel cheated and will need to look elsewhere if this isn’t rectified soonest..Version: 3.15.45

Ads...Have to let this one go. The ads are too much..Version: 3.15.20

AdsI want to open God’s word, not ads for preachers...talk about putting a focus on man rather than the Almighty. Sad day this update came out. I also had the ad lock up the app. Nice green page with a number 1 that morning rather than life changing red letters. Again sad day. Reconsider please..Version: 3.15

BibleEasy to read and understand!.Version: 3.3.2

Still WaitingI have sent an email to the app support address and not received any help or useful information. Before the update, there was a symbol next to the verse where I had written a note regarding the content of the verse. Now there is no symbol. When I go to my notes, when anything at all happens, a huge volume of my notes appear, but without reference to the verse where I left the note. In fact, the only way the notes are “organized” is by a date—and every single note shows the same date. Sometimes I am able to search my notes by a word, but I do not remember what words I used in any particular note—that’s why I wrote myself notes. Now, when I try to go to my notes, the app shuts down and I cannot access them at all. Is it possible for someone in your tech crew to email me a document containing all of my notes so that I go over them and figure out where they were located in my Bible? I trusted you with my observations, reflexions, and insights. Now I’ve lost them. Or, that is, you lost them. chuck smith, jr..Version: 4.0.2

Losing patience!I started using this app a couple of years ago and really loved it. Paid for the upgrade to block adds over a year ago. Then the latest upgrade came along and it started freezing up and slowing down and my daily plan would start over every day and would have to manually scroll to the day I left off from. So I deleted the app and reloaded it. It was working great other than it would not let me buy the upgrade to remove adds. Every time I tap the feature to remove adds, the app closed. Now the app has become very unresponsive, freezes up, won’t let me tap a verse and copy and is very slow when trying to scroll. I have become very frustrated and can’t seem to get any response from tech support..Version: 3.22

June 8th Update (4.0.3) Still NOT Working! The latest update issued on June 8, 2022, app version 4.0.3 still has not fixed the notes/highlights/bookmarks bug, which has left this app unusable for anything other than basic reading. Notes, highlights, and bookmarks STILL cannot be edited, do not save properly, and show incorrect dates. The app is also still not synchronizing properly with the server which shows 79 notes, but only 4 appear on the app. After years of using and paying for advanced features, I guess it’s time to move on to another app since I’ve already lost years worth of data saved to my account and now I’ve lost faith in the developers ability to fix their issues and not lose my data again..Version: 4.0.3

Don’t know what is going onI have been using One Bible app for several years. It worked great and I paid for several versions to be downloaded so that I could read them “off line” (no internet connection required). Today I tried to open it in Bible class and the interface looked entirely different and it wanted me to “login”. It also informed me that I had no internet connection. Tried it at home where I know that it was indeed connected to internet, same thing happened. NOTE: Previously it was working perfectly WITHOUT an internet connection..Version: 4.0.1

Long time user very disappointedLike most of the other commenters here in 2012, I have been very disappointed with the changes and “upgrades” made this year. I have used this app for years with few issues and have been very satisfied. I made in-app purchases so as to help the developers. During the last year, however, changes were made that have rendered the app unusable. The two biggest issues have been that my reading history is gone. And that leads to the second issue. We’re told to log in and sync our data. It appears that the data is being synced, however, my reading history has never been restored and I am forced to sign in every single time. I can’t believe that you folks haven’t just rolled back the updates. These issues have been known for months. I gave up trying two months ago, but logged back in today to see if anything has changed. Sadly, the answer is no..Version: 4.0.18

Adverts have ruined thisAdverts ever time I open the app have made this app useless. I used to use it in church but have given up as it takes too long for the advert to load so I can close it to then look up the reading. By the time I’ve found the reading I’ve missed half of it. Used to be a great app, but the makers have sold out the users to make money on something which is God’s word..Version: 3.23

Too many pop upsAdverts always pop up when I access this bible app hence takes longer to get to my chosen verse.Version: 3.16

ReviewLittered with advertisements, otherwise excellent.Version: 3.38

Little more than a conWe’ve been sold the latest ’upgrade’ as a great improvement, yet the only appreciable difference is the addition of ads, which despite having PREVIOUSLY PAID for A Bible version with no indication that ads would ever be a part of the deal, we’re now told we have to pay again to get the ads removed. What else might we have to pay for in the future, I wonder? This seems to be no more than a money-making scheme, playing on the good nature of trusting Christian people..Version: 3.16

Keeps CrashingIt takes me at least 5 times to open the app because it constantly crashes once I open it, even before I scroll or do anything.Version: 3.42

This is now embarrassingCan’t get rid of apps. Now pops up with sound and video. I previously paid and now ads persist. Will this ever be corrected? Don’t update to the latest version or you lose your previous subscription and this ad company don’t care..Version: 4.0.2

App not connectingPlease readjust or fix, it keeps blacking out/ crashing. Too much advertising, very distracting when trying to focus on the Word..Version: 3.15.45

AdvertisingI really like the bible but the fact that there’s constant advertisements is very annoying..Version: 3.16

Was great. Now frustrating. Don’t buy this app.I’ve had this app for many years (10 maybe) when a while ago an “update” undid all I liked (and paid for) about it. Originally, I paid $25 because this app had the 1984 version of the NIV and there were no ads. After the update (maybe 2 years ago) it started making me watch an ad before getting to the Bible which has been super inconvenient when sitting in church trying to flip to various verses, plus I paid for ad free! So I emailed the apps contact. No response. Emailed again. Still no response. Is there anyone there? Despite this, the NIV84, which is specifically what I paid the $25 for was still accessible on their app so I stuck with it. But as of recently, the NIV84 has disappeared. I couldn’t feel more taken advantage of. I emailed one more time this morning. Hopefully I’ll hear back. Don’t put yourself through the frustration of this experience. This app is no longer worth it. They just want your money but aren’t there for you and don’t stand behind their product..Version: 4.0.3

Been using for 10 years. Not a good app.I originally purchased the NASB app ($30) almost 10 years ago. I have thousands of highlights and notes. I was basically forced into using the new app (OneBible) a while back. I’ve had issues with both apps since the beginning. I’ve contacted support multiple times and it isn’t good. The sync feature doesn’t work right for multiple devices, the dictionary lookup doesn’t work anymore, I bookmarked a page and couldn’t clear it and kept pressing the bookmark only to see a dozen bookmarks for each time I tried to clear, I now have to pay to remove adds that blare out when I’m trying to be quiet, and I could go on. It seems every time something is fixed, another issue arises. I have been a software developer for over 30 years and I know how software development and quality control should work and it isn’t like this. I’m so many years and so far into this app that I hate to change now, but I’m almost done! There are other options and I would definitely recommend you search for something different..Version: 3.2

This is one terrible Bible App!This App constantly crashes so you can barely use it. There are unrelated ads that you have to get through every time you open the App and I paid for this. The old version of the App was fine until they gave you no choice but to download the new one because the old one was crashing too. What a bad experience. I have had this for years and had no problem till now..Version: 3.16

No SupportUpdate: The “support team” responded to my review and said my email may be going to spam and gave me an email address to use. The email address they have provided is the email address I’ve been using. I sent now a fourth email a week ago and still no reply. I don’t believe there really is a support team or at least one that answers all support emails. If my email is going to spam, why didn’t they look for it and then answer it? I still get ads and the syncing of books that have been read do not sync across other devices. I’ll now reduce from 3 stars to 2 stars until I get some support. I’ve been using this app now for about 2 months. The app has worked well for the most part. In the beginning I paid to be free of ads. Then they forced me to start using a newer app. Since using the new app the ads are always there even though I’m still paying. I’m logged in and I’ve hit restore many times and I still have the ads. I’ve sent an email to support with the email the app provides three times over the 2 months and I’ve never received a reply. I don’t believe they have interest in providing help. Mark.Version: 3.16

InconsistentI really liked this app, but now it is unstable. If often crashes upon opening and it also has glitches going from chapter to chapter. Sometimes when scrolling from one chapter of a book, it will have the same chapter repeated but labelled as the next chapter..Version: 3.42

Disappointing after serving me well for yearsThe latest upgrade keeps crashing on both my iPhone 8 and IPad Pro. I cannot use it. The adverts and the constant syncing are so annoying and it doesn’t remember my details or bibles I’ve purchase. Please please please remove the ads for paid bibles and set a time frequency for syncing, not every time I move between the app and my notes or other apps. It’s now unusable and I’ll be looking for something else unless it improves. 😟.Version: 3.2

DisappointingGod’s word is good. This app isn’t. I get adverts every time I open it, even if I’m only switching between apps. If I turn my data off, I can’t open the app. Also, sometimes scrolling through chapters doesn’t work - it says ‘Genesis 2’ at the top, but is still displaying the words from Genesis 1..Version: 3.16

A Bible with pop up ads? Shame on youA Bible with pop up ads? Shame on you.Version: 3.42

Ok but…I’ve used this app for couple years. Liked it alot mostly cuz I can use different translations AND can track my reading. But I’m going to uninstall it and cancel my subscription due to really just one thing: over and over now every time there’s an update I lose all my reading progress. This is SOOO frustrating. I have no option to accept the new update. I just get up of a morning, open the app and all my progress to date is gone. I’m beyond frustrated - sorry but I’m done.Version: 4.0.13

Ads are unbearableLoved this bible app at first but then the ads became longer, louder and more often, to the point of being unbearable. I’ve now deleted this app off my phone..Version: 3.42

So many adsEvery time you exit the app for even a second you are faced with another ad. I get why ads are important but it gets old really fast..Version: 3.15.45

Ads in a bible app doesn't sit well with meI'm having a hard time giving a bible app only 2 stars. But the fact that they make a user watch ads right when they open the Holy Bible doesn't sit right with me. What if someone on the fence about Jesus happened to use this app? I worry if it was their first time trying to read the Bible something silly like that could turn them off to the whole idea. I have no problem with you guys putting in a tithe/offering section somewhere in the app. For now I'll be sticking with the YouVersion for my Bible app. I really hope you guys will take this into consideration. Matthew 10: 8-9.Version: 3.42

Too many adsIt was a great bible app until all the ads started... I’ll have to let this one go.Version: 3.15.20

Useless with the adsI used to see this a decent app until ads were added. When you are getting into the “spirit” the last thing you would want to see is incessant ads. Unfortunately I have had to uninstall it to make room for another bible app which has no ads on..Version: 3.15.20

Latest update ruins user experience!!It was a great app until this latest update. Now, there is an pop up ad every single time I switch to the app. If I did not hit exactly at the ‘x’ to close it, it would take me to the web link ... which is not what I want. So I have to switch back to the app. Then another ad!!! Annoying!!! If this keeps up, I’ll have to get another app for this purpose..Version: 3.11

Add pop upToo many add pop ups, very distracting..Version: 3.42

Ex user ...Ads at startup - no way. Can’t press delete quick enough.Version: 3.42

Paid for no ads, they display anywayOne Bible continually updates the app to a version that shows ads even though I paid extra not to have ads. Sometimes, ads with sound cause a big noisy disruption during a Bible Study class. It is always an unwelcome delay and set of extra keystrokes to get the ads closed. Even when I go through the App Store hassles of getting credit for my no-ads version, again and again, One Bible seems to think it is okay to annoy me by promoting their own products..Version: 3.42

No goodWhat a piece of junk. Always crashes. Worst bible app. All it does is highlight the need of the fruit of the Spirit. Patience..Version: 4.0.23

No longer my favourite appI preferred this App before the more recent update. This new version presents me with several obstacles ( questions to respond to) before I can access the texts I’m seeking. This is a general nuisance and particularly not appreciated when using this version during a study. No longer my favourite app..Version: 3.2

Latest Update Won’t Restore Bibles Purchased Years AgoI can’t restore Bible purchased using older versions of the app. Please fix. It will only restore the Remove Adds purchase..Version: 4.0.3

NIV?I have changed the NIV to the NLT because that is what I was using for several years before it disappeared a few weeks ago. I enjoy the way Just 1 Word was laid out and organized and happily used it for several years. Then the ads started and requests to sign up for things. It was disappointing to someone who just wanted to enjoy the Bible. I paid the $ to stop the ads and paid more $ to purchase a second copy of Just 1 Word to see if that would help. I kept using in first copy as it had all my underling and highlighting. Then about 10 days or maybe 2 weeks ago my first copy of Just 1 Word disappeared. I’ve tried, and my kids have tried, to help me recover my first copy of the Bible, but to no avail. I contacted ‘Kyle’ in costumer service and he could not help me. All I’ve been able to do is download yet another copy of Just 1 Word that continues to be titled NIV Bible even though I’ve changed it to NLT. Clearly something isn’t working. I suppose I’ll eventually have to find a more user friendly Bible, but I’m sad because for years I really enjoyed the use of Just 1 Word. Thank you for caring about your users satisfaction level. Nola Renfrew.Version: 3.15.45

Driven to distraction by adsAfter much searching I chose this Bible app for it’s simple interface and lack of distracting “features”. Recently however it has started distracting me with full-screen ads... Every. Time. I. Open. Or. Switch. Back. To. The. App. Argh!!! I know it’s hard to make enough money to support an app in the App Store but this is not the answer for a Bible app!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Version: 3.15.20

Low score because of the adsNo option to get rid of ads. The ads are video, loud and not related to the bible at all. Very disappointing. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” John 2 15-16..Version: 3.16

Glitchy!!Previously I loved this Bible app. This app has become very frustrating with frequent drop outs. Basically unusable now..Version: 3.42

DisappointedI enjoy using this app, and I have it on my phone and iPad. I paid the subscription to remove advertising, but recently it has started to crash whilst syncing. I’ve reinstalled the app but has begun crashing again. Very annoying as I was marking the chapters I had been reading!!!.Version: 3.15.45

Adverts and text messagesI am fed up with being asked to sign up to something with Franklin Graham - with no way of stopping it - one refusal should be enough. And I dislike the adverts. If I have paid for something I don’t expect adverts. I was horrified today to receive a text message from you. Something I did not sign up for. Where did you get the information from? It is a breach of data protection law in UK..Version: 3.16

Commercials are the way of the worldStop the commercials. This has drifted you into the way of the world. Gods economy is different to mans economy. Turn from your fallen ways..Version: 3.16

Not happy with the new version of this appI have enjoyed this app for years but I was FORCED to this new version and I absolutely HATE IT! I despise it. I loved having my screen split into one half being able to manage my daily readings and the other half free to go to any book I wanted to read. Now I cannot do that, I have one HUGE screen and it lost ALL of the marked books that I had already AND I paid $1.99 to skip the ads and I and STILL getting ads! I am NOT a happy camper. I do not recommend this app any more. My mama always said “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” they did and they ruined it! PLUS because I only gave one star, it won’t let me send, won’t accept any of my screen names and I KNOW they aren’t all taken……come on!.Version: 4.0.3

GlitchesThis app features are truly amazing, but the only thing that brings it down is the fact that it always self closes and it glitches very often!.Version: 3.40

Love it2023 I have now had the app for years. This is my default Bible app, I have decided to buy a couple Bibles so I can have access offline. One of the updates was to remove the little vertical line (cursor) that would scroll the page up and down. I would like to see how far down I am on a chapter, you need to bring it back please. Also the app is full of lags, it wasn’t like this before. 2021 Have had this app for almost a year now and I love it. The only bad thing is that you need connection..Version: 4.0.22

DishonestI have enjoyed more than three years of reading this in NIV on my iPad . Now it has been invited with ads with music and videos and one time I sat in church opened it up and music started playing I was totally shocked and offended makes this NIV on my iPad total garbage get it off please or I’ll delete it and I will share this on Facebook.Version: 3.15

Upgrades in last six months are horribleThis app was great until a few months ago. I’ve used it for at least six years. I purchased several offline Bible versions and paid to remove ads. But the last few upgrades have been horrible. Every time I open the Bible, I have to restore my purchases. It’s lost all my read/unread data from the past six years. They are requiring you to register (so they can send you spam emails) to remember your purchases and reading history. I wish I could get my money back because it’s horrible now..Version: 4.0.15

$$ are the motivation with this appI originally paid for this app a while ago. With each subsequent upgrade there is a dollar grab. Firstly it was the introduction of a subscription model, and now it is pay to turn off advertising. Well It’s a thank you very much for the offer but no thanks from me. Delete!.Version: 3.16

Please can I get a refund for the money I have already paid? This is the first example I have found of an app which, having paid to unlock functionality, requires me to later pay further money to undo an ‘upgrade’ which I didn’t ask for. This was a great app which I have used for years, (and was happy to pay money for to be able to download the Bible). Having updated to the latest version, I find a very intrusive and time-wasting set of adverts appears every time I try to use it. To get back to the experience I had before, I am asked to pay more money. If I bought a book in a shop and took it home, I’d be disappointed if the publisher turned up in my home a little while later, and insisted on bombarding me with advertising every time I took it off my bookshelf unless I paid him money to go away. Why is it okay to do this just because the book is in a digital format? Can I either: a) revert the app back to the version I paid for, which doesn’t waste my time with adverts, or b) please have my money back since the product I paid for has been taken away?.Version: 4.0.14

Advert Installation has ruined this app!Loved this app until adverts were added. Whenever we get asked to look up a verse I would get my phone out because it was always quicker than getting my actual bible out of my bag and then looking up the verse. However, I now have to wait for the app to load and wait for the adverts to load, click off the advert and wait for the bible to load. Takes too much time. Thinking about deleting this bible app and downloading one without adverts. This is such a shame because I loved having the versatility of having access to the different bible translations etc..Version: 3.15.20

Choose a different Bible appAwful update. So many ads and the app keeps crashing. More difficult to use than the app is replacing. Very disappointed.Version: 3.15.45

The NIV bible app.I find the ads at the beginning of the app unnecessary and inappropriate..Version: 3.12

ReviewThis app is not free it gives you a whole bunch of bible versions that are not free..Version: 1.5.2

NIV app and treatment of customers is badVery disappointed to not be able to access the NIV84. Like so many others, I’m now looking at other translations..Version: 4.0.18

One Bible appI would like to cancel my purchase.Version: 3.35

Ads?!I bought my pervious version so I could avoid this. If you want ads in a free version fine, but if we paid money for it there shouldn’t be an ad whenever the app is opened. If there’s a way to turn it off for a paid version that I missed, please let me know. Thanks..Version: 3.15.45

Each update creates another problem. Was 5 star before the last 2 updates. The last update created ads that you have to close before you can view the content. The newest update caused more problems. As soon as I open the app and close the ad, the app shuts down. It takes at least 2 tries before it will stay open. I hate to lose this app because it has some really helpful features. I am writing this review so the developers will be aware of the issues and can fix them..Version: 3.15.45

Misquoted scriptureI had this app for a couple of months before I noticed they had a mistake. Under the reading plans for "Breathe Life Day 24" section they have 1 Samuel 12:14 listed like this "But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die." I didn't remember the Bible verse that way so I looked it up online in six different versions and I looked it up in my bible. Here is what it should say. "Now if you fear and worship the Lord and listen to His voice, and if you do not rebel against the Lord's commands, then both you and your king will show that you recognize the Lord as your God." This was a good lesson for me on the importance of knowing God's word and checking it. Be wise and careful. God bless..Version: 3.5

Unusable in churchPaid for several versions and now unusable because of adding noisy videos that I have to watch every time I open. Totally unethical to do this to customers..Version: 3.42

TerribleI’ve used this app for about five years, at that time I paid for the premium version and it was great. Since that time updates have slowly made it worse and now it’s awful. My offline bibles all cost $6 and the whole app is less user friendly. Find something else. -Update So I gave this app another chance since the developer said they were still working out some bugs for the recent update and not only are same bugs still there over a month later (the offline bible I already paid for and ad removal I already paid for needs to be paid for again), there is now multiple instances on words missing from verses, as well as words being in the wrong place. They have completely ruined this app since not only is it less user friendly, it’s now not accurate.Version: 4.0.3

Great versionThis NIV version is linked to the 1984 version which is the best version I think and is on par for the best NIV version ever!.Version: 3.5

AdsI have been using this app for a few years and loved it. I especially like the fact I can track my reading by chapter. However, in one of the latest updates advertisements were added. It was a bit embarrassing when I first opened the latest update during church and the audio from a video started blaring. That coupled with the fact that every time my phone or iPad goes to sleep with the app already open, and I awake it, the app acts like it’s being reopened and the same add pops up. This is way too distracting and annoying, especially if I am praying in between reading passages. I decided to download a different app, and am dumping this one..Version: 3.15.20

MeDisappointed with the ads, they have no place in a Bible..Version: 3.16

Looking for another appThis update is embarrassing. Can I give it negative stars? Lost my subscription Doesn’t recognize my credentials Ads are annoying If I was the developer I would be ashamed to publish this. It is truly a shame that this replaces an awesome app..Version: 3.15.45

International bibleTo whom it might concern. I would like be able to use audible reading of the bible..Version: 3.5

One BibleThis app has been closed down for days now for maintenance? What is taking so long? Is it ever coming back up? I have been doing my Bible studies everyday with this app and it keeps me on track. If it doesn’t come back up then I have no record of where I am and what I have completed. I really miss my readings. Are you updating and will you be back?.Version: 3.42

CriminalHave had this app for years. Purchased two off line versions. PaId to remove ads. Now, I have to remember to turn off WiFi and cellular service before opening or have to endure ads. And it’s embarrassing to open the app in church and have an ad start yapping. Something’s happened recently where my purchased Bibles will not work UNLESS Wi-Fi or cellular service is engaged which brings me back to ads. And having to make sure my volume is down so they don’t play in church. I paid for things that have been taken away. To aggravate the situation I have sent emails with NO responses. I am sending this review today as well as another email to the help-less help desk to hopefully get this resolved if not I am deleting the app and going back to the old fashioned physical Bible. Not happy with you guys at all. It’s one thing to have a loved app go wrong like a game and another when it is so important to my life. I do wish there was someone to call. This anonymous stuff is bad..Version: 4.0.3

Too many adsI paid for bible tp be able to read a bible, not look at the many ads that pop up. This app used to be good but now there are just way too many ads considering it is the same price as the paper copy. Don’t buy this app unless you want to look at the many ads!.Version: 3.12

App was upgradeApp has apparently been upgraded recently. I have lost all data. Have not been able to work out how to recover anything. Can any one help?.Version: 3.12

ADDS in appDeleted app due to adds.Version: 3.12

Fine appThis app works well. I especially like the buttons used to select the chapter and verse as opposed to the more common scroll device. It's faster and easier to tap only twice for the 20th chapter and the 30th verse rather than scrolling from one in each case. One small annoyance: when the app asked me to write a review I was actually in a Bible class at church so I selected "remind me later." Then the reminder came up EVERY time I wanted to look up another passage. That's a little needy and overly persistent if you ask me. Additionally, I frequently want search for a specific word or phrase and that is either difficult or I haven't figured it out yet. RLDVM.Version: 3.4

Heiresses thanksJust checking to make.Version: 3.42

Stuff upYou completely ruined this Bible app with the latest up-date. Fix it please..Version: 4.0

No longer easy to useI’ve had his app for about 4 years and loved it, but finally gave up and deleted it. Every time you open it there’s an add and they just seem to keep getting longer, it’s faster to just Google whatever passage I’m looking for at this point. There isn’t even an option to pay more for no adds. Especially if I’m bringing something up to read in a prayer time or Bible study, it’s incredibly disruptive to wait for an add to finish before reading and just reminds me of how commercialized religion can be..Version: 3.42

Not good anymorePaid for the previous version only to be forced to upgrade to this version due to the other one crashing. After upgrade I found that this new app is full of ads. Tried to restore purchase and the button doesn’t even work. The button to pay and remove the ads does work (how convenient). I’m not going to pay again for the same app I already paid for to remove the annoying ads. I can’t use the previous app either because every time I open it it crashes. Ripoff!! Time to find a new app. Way to ruin it guys..Version: 3.15.45

Annoying adsI really enjoyed using this app until ads start to pop up and doesn’t allow me to close it until it finishes. Quite annoying and disappointing!.Version: 3.41

My subscriptionI read my One Bible every morning for my wife’s & my devotions. I love God’s word & your app brings that to us daily. The only issue I have is that, every 4th day or so when I open it, I am asked to purchase it again & I have to click on the restore purchase again. Could you please tell me how I can stop this. It is frustrating. Thank you..Version: 3.42

Not impressed. The app refuses to open on most occasions. It constantly has pop up ads that are really distracting and you can’t cancel the ads until the after the countdown. Eventually I paid for members to avoid the ads and now the app refuses to open. I don’t recommend for those reasons..Version: 4.0.4

Horrible UpdateThis as many recent posts said was once a great app…you could mark off chapters as you finished to easily track progress. You could highlight verses and it saved them. It was simple and easy to use…no longer the new update removes all of that; loses all you history, does not allow you to mark of what you’ve read and worst of all it is highly unstable….you want to scroll down a verse and it’s so sensitive your 3 chapters from where you were. Time for a new app…these folks clearly aren’t interested in a functional app or they’d roll back to the previous version until. The fox the horribly botched update..Version: 4.0.1

Bible reviewBought it with no ads now every time I use it has ads on it disappointing.Version: 3.22

Bad attempt to make it betterLatest update really screwed this up. It has many flaws before, but was better than it is now. There are tons of words missing. It is so bad that I cannot even tell what is being said in certain verses. Ridiculous. Then there are areas where a single word in the text is extremely huge. The text is completely messed up now. It’s really difficult to get the meaning of many verses when there are so many words that are now missing. This is a tragedy of scripture..Version: 4.0.2

DisappointingI paid for this app and have used it every day for years. Recently I have been getting advertisements. The last one was for a Game of Thrones audiobook and it had loud audio to it! Really handy if you’re sitting in church or tonight when I was rocking my baby to sleep. This is not what I paid for and completely inappropriate for a Bible app..Version: 3.15

AdsI can’t believe there is now unavoidable ads every time I open the app. Even if my phone goes into standby while I’m reading, I have to endure another ad to get back to it. And if I turn my data off, the app won’t load. Really? On a bible app?.Version: 3.15.20

Good at the start and downhill recentlyI’ve had this app for almost a year now and I paid for the weekly subscription to be able to unlock the audio. Recently it has been bombarded with ads upon ads and I downloaded the KJV Bible audio but ever since the new update it, I can no longer access it. Please restore to the previous state..Version: 3.11

Diminishing returnI have been using this app for years. Each time I have read through the NKJV there have been subtle grammatical errors in the text and I have notified them. They have gotten much more intrusive with the ads and continue to prompt the free subscribers to pay. This week there was apparently an “upgrade”. When I returned to where I had left off, there were words repeated, verses started and not finished, and words missing in the text. When this happened numerous times in the same chapter (Luke 19 in this case) I decided I cannot trust this app. I am forced to delete it. You cannot serve two masters. Don’t offer a free version at all if you are so wanting money and tend to your product or you will lose subscribers. I have daily enjoyed this app until now. Very sad.Version: 4.0.1

Beware - Inappropriate ads! This app used to be ok. I used it at church services when I forgot to bring my Bible or just to look up a quick verse when on the go. Recently (last month or so) I find that I need to watch a video ad each time I use the app. That is bad enough, but some of the ads are very inappropriate (woman stroking a man’s bare torso, etc.). Unfortunately my kids have witnessed these ads several times during evening devotions. I’ll pass! I am now deleting this app and looking for something better suited for Christians - which is the point after all..Version: 3.42
