I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, latitude 53N, where summer nights can be rather short—and winter ones, quite long. ✓ Exactly what I was looking for.We have hens. They go perch in their coop at sunset. We close them in to keep raccoons from killing them. Go out there too early, and it’s a hassle to talk them into their coop. Go out too late, and a nocturnal varmint might be paying them a deadly visit. ✓ Priceless!First, I used this to help me get more in tune with the sun’s position each day, but for the last year or so, I’ve been crafting my days with this app. Alerts for: Morning sunrise; UVA rise (10degrees above horizon); start dinner (2 hrs before sunset); finish eating & add orange glasses (sunset); go to bed! I’m so grateful for the rhythm and awareness this app has established. One hope is that the platform will allow them to expand the number of days that the app can generate alerts after the app is opened. Now it stops alerting after about 10 days, so I have to remember to reopen the app every week or so. It’s a minor inconvenience for the gain received! Hopes: I love that the alerts window gives the time for the next alert, but I really wish that it would sort by time! It would be so nice to see the day ahead..Version: 5.1.4

But I'm disappointed that the alarm doesn't work while the phone is muted. The standard iPhone alarm works this way and it's great because it means I can take my phone to bed & not worry about text messages or other alerts waking me during the night. Alarm is either one sound of selection (easily missed) or constant until it is turned off (not good if you are away from your phone).
