Jump Desktop (RDP, VNC, Fluid) Pros

Wow - impressed by the speed!I'm extremely impressed by how fluid and smooth working over a RDC connection is with this app. I don't know how they do it but it's awesome. Connecting to a Windows virtual machine over RDC with this app is just as efficent as running the Virtual Machine locally. This allows me to put all of my VMs out on a seperate sever and connect to them via my Mac using RDC without running them locally and hogging all of the RAM and CPU resources. Five stars!.EmbracewareVersion: 3.0

Great for multple screen displaysI can connect to my 3 monitor Windows computer and it shows as 3 separate desktops on my Mac. This is useful because my window layouts don't change or rearrange. I have specfic applications on specific screens, and knowing that I can work on either Windows or Mac and still have the same layout is perfect. I do have problems with Jump crashing when I close the lid on the Mac and it's still connected to the Windows desktop. And the login seems to take a strangely long time compared to Microsoft's own Remote Desktop. But otherwise, it's a great application for working remotely..Icosahedron20Version: 8.9.16

Jump Desktop (RDP, VNC, Fluid) Cons

I have used this app almost everyday for 5-8 yearsThe BIGGEST problem I have with this app may be unique to how I intereact with it. But it's a HUGE issue for me. I've almost tried to find other options. I am a day trader and I use the app while at my professional job to trade from my desktop at home. But I don't like to keep the monitor connected. I have a 2 way selecter switch so that the monitor can be used in other situations like my kids playing xbox while I am away. Well this creates a MAJOR problem. The screen will end up tearing and especailly panels/sections of the screen that move with scroll bars or sections that I can make bigger or smaller when clicking and dragging. If I do not click and drag them perfectly they will create like a screenshot that gets stuck and frozen on top of the actual functioning parts of the trading terminal I use. Making it EXTREMELY hard to use. It's like looking at a still picture while the app is functioning perfectly behind the image. I can minimize and resize the program and move them around these stuck images. But they will appear all over the screen and its makes using the trading terminal and real pain. The only way to fix it, is to press the button on the monitor selecter button to reset the apps connection. It was explained to me that this is called "headless mode" and is a common problem with remote desktops when not connected to a monitor. I wish someone would solve this issue..SGSummersVersion: 8.8.28

Not as good as it used to beI loved this app and sang its paises from the roof tops. But it has been getting slower and slower. I replaced a lot of gear at home trying to fix what I thought was network latency. Until I tried the Microsoft client, which has no latency issues. (I do run three 1080 monitors over RDP).User838Version: 6.0
