✓ Good but....It's a good app, works well, but it is a long way off being encyclopaedic. I went through the info for my music collection and there were lots of missing samples and covers that I'm aware of let alone all the stuff I don't have a clue on! If all the info was totally there I'd five star this app, but right now the data set just ain't good enough… That said, Paloma Faith wasn't showing as a cover of INXS Never tear us apart last week but now is, so it does get updated. Madeon Pop Culture only 23 out of the 39 tunes that make it are listed on the app though..Version: 1.12

Imagine of something like this existed 20 years ago. ✓ GoldmineWhoSampled is really one of a kind. I’m amazed, and frankly upset I did not come across it sooner. Why do I use WhoSampled? To find new music. I find a song I like, check who’s sampled it, find another gem and go from there. the app is raw, lets you hunt for yourself, but gives you all the tools you need to make like easy - like scanning your library to find any tracks of your own that have been sampled/ covered/ remixed etc. it’s been on my home screen since day one. I cannot believe this app hasn’t picked up more traction. I hope my review helps fuel this app to a greater audience. fantastic job guys, keep it up !.Version: 1.20

✓ It’s good, but Is it worth 5 Dollars?There are no words to describe my love and affection for WhoSampled! This app is truly the apple of my eye. Nothing compares to the burst of euphoria that rushes through me every time I open this beautiful app. It’s like a slice of blueberry pie in my mouth. I truly believe it to be the height of man’s intuition. Perhaps the apex of God’s creation, among his highest blessings unto his chosen people, a testament to his goodness and divine love. This is the magnum opus of our generation. Not only does it find every song with any relation to those in your catalogue (sampled by, samples, covers, remixes)- it has all artists and every song they are ever featured on, as well as every song they’ve ever produced. You don’t understand the gravity of this- EVERY SONG KANYE HAS EVER PRODUCED. Tidily arranged in one spot for your listening pleasure. Furthermore, when you find a song you like, the app works wonderfully in tandem with both Apple Music and Spotify. You don’t have to open Spotify, search the song, and add it to your playlist. You can add it directly from the app. These are the important features but as a little bonus, you can join discussions about your favourite samples and gush over the sheer genius in production with other likeminded folk. After creating my first playlist with WhoSampled, I was swept up to such a peak of endorphins and serenity that when I finally reached a climactic point in my ecstasy, the resulting valley of emotion left me bedridden with depression for a month. They will hook me up to a polygraph and ask me if I love WhoSampled and I will say no but the needle will sputter and cough the way my heart does when I open the app. If there is one WhoSampled lover in the world, it is me. ✓ No Longer AccessibleI was very grateful when I first downloaded this app 3 years ago. I used it to uncover samples on my favourite tracks. I was looking forward to doing the same a week ago, but sadly this app no longer works with VoiceOver, iOS' built-in screen-reader. ✓ MUST READI’d like to say that not only do you need the $3.99 to buy the app and use it for minimal things such as a few lyrics to find a song and that’s about it. You’re almost forced to spend the extra $9.99 to allow it to use your microphone to listen, pretty much the whole purpose of downloading the FREE app called “Shazam”. I tried this app thinking it could find sampled songs but if you’re into more underground music you’ll find nothing, fan-made, unreleased, leaked, unfinished, etc… You’ll only find completely published and sometimes a song name with an “unknown artist”. The last amazing feature is how after being so dissatisfied and wanting a refund, the app refuses to let me contact any staff relating to this joke of an app. I hope whoever reads this enjoys my aggravating experience and goes to soundcloud, google, shazam, anything else..Version: 1.41.3

Reading liner notes enabled me to discover artists that I never knew anything about and never would have been privy to had they not been sampled.
