✓ Better on an iPadI think this would be good on an iPad, but on the iPhone the words can be too fuzzy to read on the fast level (& too boring for my son on the slower levels). Also constantly crashing on my iPhone. We love Reading Eggs website & can highly recommend the Reading Eggs web program - but sadly the app doesn't live up to the website..Version: 1.1
✓ Reading eggsI like the idea of this game. However, my child finds it more fun to pick the objects that are not the chosen word. They go splat or squeal and are funny, while the chosen word just lights up. So we are not getting anywhere in the game because it is more fun to loose than win....Version: 1.2

✓ Reward system back to frontMy 3 & 4 yr old like to play this app for all the wrong reasons. The biggest flaw is they are rewarded for getting a word wrong. They love how the green eggs make a noise and splatter all over the screen or they click on an incorrect word and again it makes a funny noise. If they do click on the correct word it gains no reaction and they get bored very quickly. There is no instant reward for clicking on the correct word which I think is key for keeping them interested and more importantly learning!.Version: 1.1
✓ Too fast!!!My son really likes Reading Eggs so I was quite excited when I heard about app. I'm not that happy with it though as the eggs start moving way too quickly for a child, I have problems reading the word on the egg!! It's just too fast. I like the other aspects of it and it would be quite fun if the eggs were slower, so the child is successful otherwise it doesn't encourage them to play again. I hope reading eggs will change this by maybe have difficulty settings in regards to speed..Version: 1.0.0
✓ Awkward interface, boring gameplayLooking at the other reviews gives you a clear idea of what this app is like. The 1-2 star reviews actually give valid reasons as to why this app is not great, the 5 stars are just fluff. Here are the cons: - it takes a long time to complete a level. Sometimes the correct words don't appear, and you just have to wait until they do. - my kids enjoy it more when they select the wrong word as there is more of a reaction. Eg. Egg explodes - I have a big problem with poorly designed interfaces, when the app is designed for kids. Kids should be able to easily navigate to be able to start a game quickly. - a minor point, but if you've got a hd version, you can make this a universal app..Version: 1.1

✓ Too hard too quicklyThis game is a nice idea and the graphics are good too. But my main criticism with it is that it gets too hard too quickly. Both my husband and I have just tried to play this game on level two of seventy-five and the eggs get too small and move too quickly for us to see them in time and we can already read! What hope does my not yet reading four year old have? This affects the playability of the game. Please make it easier in the lower levels!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ IOS 7?So disappointed in this! My daughter's school is using Reading Eggs and we were excited to see the app but it won't open in iOS 7. I think almost everyone is probably using iOS 7 now so it's time you guys update the app so people can use it! I am so glad I got this one before buying the $2.99 one. ✓ What happened to the fun?PLEASE make this more stimulating. It would be great if this was more like the online version which I find SENSATIONAL. My 4 year old is bored before passing the word THE but can play for hours online. Would also be great if there was an app for people who have purchased the online package so kids could log on on iPads etc.Version: 1.1
✓ Eggy 100Eggy 100 is not helpful for children at all. Yesterday morning at 4am, I already found myself yelling at my child since he was late for his eggy schedule (330am grind if you know you know). I took him by the hair and made sure he would work until 6 (pm). Numerous times throughout my work day I heard my child laughing at eggy 100. What a sin. At one point I was even forced to leave my office to hear what all the RUCKUS was about. I strode in to see my child having a laughing attack as eggy 100 repeated the number 69. I for one do not know what is so funny about this. Eggy seemed to be seductively repeating this number though. Also, as Eggy did this, he seemed to be slowly peeling the lower portion of his shell and winking. What a disturbing sight. If you are a parent, do not install eggy 100 for your child. It will corrupt your young creature’s mind with obvious these signs of SATAN. I would highly recommend investing in the Bible and teaching your child how to be holy instead of how to count using this clown school of an app. I would go to a zoo if I wanted to see this nonsense again..Version: 1.4.1
✓ Needs improvingI understand that this app cannot replicate the online version which my 3 and 5 year olds love but right now this app is not worth buying or using. Too slow and not enough opportunity to pass through a level and if two eggs are overlapping when you tap them you get a wrong answer. Shame because the concept is good..Version: 1.1

✓ Bit disappointingWe were really looking forward to a Reading Eggs app after my 3 and 5 year old have loved the online and CD-Rom challenges. ✓ It's okI was so happy to hear that reading eggs finally released a game for the iPhone. My daughter is signed up for reading eggs online which gets a 5/5 star rating. As for the iPhone game, I just played 2 first levels before I show It to my daughter. I find the eggs take a long time to show up with the correct word in the egg. A child of 4-5 yrs old will get bored waiting so long for the right egg to show up. At one point it was 20 seconds before the right word showed up. Another thing I see is that after about 15-20 words the eggs fly by the screen so fast I myself a 35 year old has trouble getting them. I have not gone much further then level 2 right now but I am sure it gets harder as you go along. Reading eggs online I give a 5/5 New reading eggs iPhone app 3/5. I give it a 3 as there is room for improvement and given the awesome online version , I am sure the iPhone app will be better over time. If I may make one more suggestion, the app should be able to tie in to a child's progress with the online version..Version: 1.0.0
