✓ Easy and refreshingLove the app for quick inspirational recipes, easy to follow with store cupboard Ingredients. No excuse for anyone not to produce wholesome food on a budget with out all the sugar and preservatives ready meals have. I especially love the one pot dishes which can transform cheap cuts of meats into a family meal. A whole chicken can do 2/3 meals if you divide it well. I especially like adding tinned chickpeas or beans to add a nutritional boost to the pot and plenty of herbs and spices from my store cupboard..Version: 3.0.9

✓ Great app but glitches.I love this app but it currently crashes every time I try to look at a recipe. Also, I’ve found that the tips bit and the reviews aren’t available on the app the way they are on the desktop website. For example, a chilli con carne recipe says in the ingredients “see tip” but when you scroll down the tip never appears. Can these issues please be fixed? Total 5 star app once these are sorted. The app is back! Updated to 4 stars from 3 as the recipe tips still aren’t showing. Just that one last fix and you’re there!!.Version: 2.2.26

✓ Great recipe appI love Good Food, I rarely look at any of my recipe books now - perhaps to remind myself about old favourites. I signed up to one of the recipe boxes which sent out the ingredients which was ok but expensive. With GF you have an amazing selection, most recipes are rated and if you plan a head you are effectively making your own “box” and not paying the premium. ✓ IOS 14 problem ?We installed an update for the GF app on 21 September 2020. Since then when selecting to save a recipe the app shuts itself down, and does not save the recipe. I suspect this could be a compatibility problem with the upgrade to iOS 14. Any other reports of this ? Update, I received a response to this from the developers. ✓ Just what I needed!One of the downsides of being the ‘cook’ means that you can come up with delicious recipes ALL the time, I thought, I can’t come up with recipes to last the week, let alone being delicious ones. This app is a godsend. Lots of recipes to try, easy breakdown of instructions to follow for even the novice. I have started to enjoy choosing a recipe and presenting it for dinner. It is simple to use and easy to filter for specific searches, catering for a variety of dietary needs. Each recipe is well written and easy to follow, I love the serving suggestions for accompanying dishes. Another bonus is that each recipe also has the nutritional breakdown per serving, a real help for those catering for special diets. ✓ Has potential to be a really good appI was really looking forward to using this app so I could save all the recipes in collections so it was easier to meal plan for the week. This is a really great function but there are a lot of problems with the app that ruin it. It’s extremely laggy! After using the app for a few minutes I notice it jumping when I’m scrolling through recipes, my phone starts to heat up, my music being played through my phone will cut out and eventually the app will crash entirely. It’s extremely frustrating and I hope it get fixed soon as I want to continue using the app. I also wish I could read the reviews on the recipes so I could make alterations based on people’s reviews. I’ve never really understood however why you can’t view the reviews via the App and only via the website. Separately, I’ve recently downloaded to my new phone, the App opens up ok, the search function works as it should, but the the App crashes when you hit any of the recipes. ✓ Brilliant!I’ve used this app for a couple of years now. It’s so useful. Great recipes that you can save and organise so easy to follow again and again. We also buy the magazine monthly - most if not all of the magazine recipes end up on the app too so you don’t have to save the magazine/copy up recipes/have annoying bits of torn out pages everywhere. ✓ Lost the ability to use on my phone as well as my iPadNow 3 months since I subscribed using my iPad. Still can’t use it on my phone, despite raising the issue to support multiple times. They tell me family sharing might work, but that would mean creating a second Apple account on my iPhone, which I don’t see I should have to do. Every other app, and until this upgrade this one, worked on multiple devices linked to the same Apple ID. Try restore purchases - it grinds away for a mo, then shuts down. Try subscribing on the second device, it tells you you are already subscribed and defaults back to the page offering a free 3 month trial. No way to log in or get past that on the second device. ✓ Problems since upgradeMy husband and I love this app and use it all the time for recipes. I have a collection set up in various folders. Since the upgrade, two things have happened. Firstly, I am now unable to save any recipes (the app just closes down when I press the ‘save recipe’ button. Secondly, my husband is no longer able to send me an email link to recipes. Hopefully, these two glitches can be sorted out. Your recommendation of turning the app off and on again has sorted the saving recipes problem. ✓ Great app but can’t always see commentsThis is my go to recipe app as I know the nearly all, if not all of the recipes will have UK measurements. There’s usually something new to find or a spin on a classic dish. I like the idea of the difficulty rating and prep time meaning I can judge whether I have the time or the expertise to try the recipe. You can save your favourite recipes in collections, and enabling the cook mode stops your iPad from turning off. It’s great being able to see other people’s comments too, for alternative ideas. ✓ ReviewThe content is as good as ever, but the latest App is clunkier than the previous version, especially the My Collections section. The lay-out in My Collections is not as easy to view as before & the recipes take a very long time to load. I frequently cannot find recipes even though I know they are saved and end up resorting to the search function on your main homepage to find them again. Worst of all, it no longer says how many recipes are in each collection! ✓ Love this app!I’m in love with this app it’s so great. I use this for our families meals every night and create a weekly meal plan from it every week. You have great recipes on here and it’s meaning our family is eating a lot healthier too. The only issue I have with this app is it is incredibly slow. It seems to stick and glitch every time I use it. I have to restart the app constantly. ✓ Great app but needs the user comments!Just downloaded the app as since the website upgrade I’ve found the site doesn’t work properly. The app I find is set out really clearly and I love the “cook mode” feature which for me is a game changer! The only thing missing, as other’s have already commented on, is the ability to read the user review comments for recipe adjustments and suggestions, which I find invaluable as sometimes the recipes just don’t quite work as they are written. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because it is cluttered with a large number of ads, which I find disruptive. It's easy to zip through specialty cookbooks and the collections of the month or to do a search for something specific. This app is filled with a mass variety -- you'll find great recipes for ever kind of eater (vegans, kid friendly, vegetarians and dessert-aholics😃). I especially like that we now have access to recipes on the BBC Good Food website as well as favorites we've saved in our recipe box (on the website). That said, I do have one suggestion: please add the option to change measurements from Metric to Imperial. ✓ My ‘go to’ siteI’ve used Good Food guide pretty much since it’s inception having previously bought the magazines and also the little compilation books they brought out which were very handy. I still love to look through cook books but if I’ve ingredients that need using up, it’s ideal to key them into the search thingy and see what to use them on. Quite often I’ll go on Google for an idea of what to cook and the sight of Good Food in the search results generally drags me in as I know it will be easy to find something decent to cook and won’t be some annoying American or Australian blog full of advertising banners, flashing sponsored banners, etc, etc. Love it!.Version: 2.2.26
