✓ Fun App but GlitchyYou can look at the other reviews for what is likable about the app, so I won’t duplicate those praises. The biggest problem with this app is that it glitches on a regular basis. One of the most important thing as a beginner needs to work on is their timing. But this Apple often mess up on the downbeat advancing about a half a bar which will totally messed with your time. This is very frustrating and should easily be fixed by the developers. The other major shortcoming is trying to figure out strumming patterns that go with songs. You can easily start to think that you’re a better player than you really are because of the backing tracks. The interface is pretty sluggish changing from one Menya to another. Also the songs should remember what tempo you’ve been playing out. So for example knocking on heavens door is 74 BPM, but if you’re learning it at 59 BPM, the app won’t save what speed you’re trying to master. It resets to 74 ppm every time. Likewise there’s no tracking of your progress at any particular BPM. That would be a super simple feature to implement. There’s a microphone icon which I guess is supposed to allow you to record, but it doesn’t work..Version: 3.3.0

✓ Brilliant app but not 3.1Normally a superb app but sound quality is very poor since 3.1. You can tell because the sample strum still has the previous (better) sound quality - but the songs don't. At least 3.1.5 has fixed the sound cutting out..Version: 3.1.5
✓ GREAT APP but why???!!!!AMAZING APP!! But... Why on earth do we have to buy ONE MONTH OR ONE YEAR?! I would MUCH rather pay once, and get all of the VIP stuff. I don't care how much I pay, as long as it's not too much, but I SERIOUSLY don't wanna have to pay for every single month or year. And the monthly and yearly payments right now are RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!! I used to have this app and it didn't cost anything but I didn't have a guitar. So I deleted it. I recently got one and re-downloaded it, but got 100% disappointed when I saw it. Don't get me wrong, if you're made of money and looking to learn guitar, loose all your iTunes money for it. ✓ UnimpressedHmmm the app says 50,000 free songs for a limited time but it would be lucky to have about 100 songs all up (most of them paid)! The songs need a lot of work before they are good enough to pay money for. I would suggest to just look up songs on google yourself rather than waste your time downloading this..Version: 1.3.4

✓ How much!I think that asking for £111 a year subscription is grossly excessive no matter how good an app is! Is this a bug or is that the real price now? 11 months on after asking if the above price was correct I finally got an answer. The answer was yes the price is correct but I’m sorry although I enjoyed the app at MY renewal price of £25 I have now cancelled my subscription as they are asking for £111 per annum for monthly or around £56 per annum for annual subscription for my friend whom I advised to purchase the app. I think this app just about warrants what I’m paying but definitely not what my friend is expected to pay..Version: 3.2.1

✓ Used to be brilliant, now just crashes on 3.3.1 onwards, no supportThis was easily a five star app, really great for developing as a guitarist. Great range of cool songs ...and then came along the latest update 3.3.1. Now it crashes all the time, normally just after the load screen, although occasionally it manages to run up and start playing, but for it to crash eventually. No reply from support. I bet they’ll just copy-paste the same rubbish about old hardware, when it was working fine for the last two years on an iPad 2 (iOS 12.1.1). Tried reinstalling, but no change. Avoid updating to the latest version, as it’s ruined! Last two updates have made it even worse, now leaks so much memory it doesn’t make it past the initial screen. No response from support, despite having twice sent crash logs. Found a better app elsewhere now, so cancelled subscription and uninstalled..Version: 3.3.3

It should be when I get the right cords at the right time I get experience points. The video lessons are OK though, but when you hit total beginner it should be pointing you in the direction of tuning your guitar then learning the cords before going to a song to play. ✓ Makes practicing and playing more funAs a beginner, this apps makes learning new songs fun. I highly recommend it for beginners and maybe intermediate players. It’s easier to learn the song with the beat and melody going with you. Worth the money to me. Update. It’s been a year since last update. Still using and liking the app but have some improvements it needs. The major one is editing the play list. Adding and removing is all good but you have to move each song line by line to change the order. I.E. if I add a new song, it’s at the bottom of playlist. If your list is 40 songs long, and you want it at the top, you have to hit the move button 40 times. 2nd update. 2 years since the last update. It’s looking like what you see is all they’ll be. Still liking and using the app but it could be so much more. 3rd update. Still no app updates or bug fixes. It’s been several months since they’ve added any new songs and customer support has quit responding. Looks like they are abandoning it. I won’t be renewing my subscription.Version: 3.3.6

✓ Lost hundreds of dollarsI use to love this app. I purchased hundreds is songs before they went to subscription service. Ever time they upgrade I lost all my songs. I was told to “restore purchases” the first time and I got back most of my purchase but there were still a lot missing. This last time I was asked for receipts for songs I purchased years ago. ✓ Doesn’t work with jamstik!!!!I bought a jamstik+ for my kids to learn how to play the guitar because they get frustrated with me teaching them. The ENTIRE reason I bought the jamstik was to use this app! The demo worked perfectly but the second I paid the $37 for a yearly subscription it stopped working. ✓ This app crashes on older IPads.I have used and enjoyed this app for almost two years. Now it however crashes and is not useable on my first generation I Pad and my older I Pad mini. It used to run fine on them. I was told that recent enhancements such as tracking {no use for that at all} made this happen. I do have an I Pad pro now that it runs fine on but I prefer to use it as a midi controller using Sample Tank etc. and not have to tie it up running the 4 chord app. If you have an older Apple device this app will not work well.
