✓ DisappointedI've been a subscriber of the Magnificat for countless years and have always been able to use the app or the hard copy, whichever is the most convenient. I LOVE using the app during travels and time away. That seems to have changed this month. Now if I want to use the app, I have to pay an extra $2 per month! ✓ Fantastic app, but...I have thoroughly enjoyed the content of the Magnificat App for a month now. However, now that we are in December, when I launch it I get a message telling me to update the app in order to enjoy the new edition. When I go to the App Store, there is NO UPDATE available for the app. If I delete and reinstall, I get the same notice. This is very frustrating. This is by far the best Catholic app out there, but it has been rendered useless on my device. There is a USA version that does not have as much content and is therefore more disappointing. ✓ Good app ..... When it worksThis is a nice looking app and very good when it works. Unfortunately I haven't been able to open the March 2014 edition on my phone. I reported the problem to the developers but they didn't have the courtesy to even reply to my email. I'll stick with Universalis - a much much better app for the Liturgy of the Hours - and it works every day without fail. Perhaps Magnificat should work on making an app that works rather than an app that looks good but doesn't actually work.
