✓ Excellent Stargazing App :-)Probably the most used App which I have on my phone. It is the most accurate App I have used for predicting if I am going to be getting my scope out during the next few nights, and although I do not really believe what it is telling me in more than fours nights time, I think this is true for any weather forecasting. Would recommend to anyone into Stargazing and one of the upgrades, which gives you a 'Dark Sky' map, is handy when you are travelling and want to find an area to visit with some binos..Version: 2.5.1

✓ Useful planning toolThis actually works. It’s massively better than looking at the standard weather forecasts and trying to work out if it’s going to be ok for observing or not. I do astrophotography and Scope Nights offers me the ability to really see when it’s going to be usably clear with all the detail I need that impacts the photos, and not just clear to the eye. ✓ Not helpful for my locationI work at a dark sky park and love to recommend apps. We do sky tours weekly and I use about 6 locations for weather data. Sky and telescope recommended the app so I bought it. None of the towns within a 40 mile radius are locations that will give me data. I was able to find my park listed on the location finder but our data is “unable to access”.Version: 2.5.1

✓ Improving the App recommendationHello Id like to give the technical, and the development team of Scope Nights app, a small advice on improving the overall function of the app. So, when I for exampe, hit the "Scope Sites" tab, then after you choose your dark site in the tab, I would then like the app to go straight to that specific dark site, on the "Dark Sky Map" tab as well (on the map). If you can please implement that feature, I would greatly appreciate it from you. ✓ Moon rise and set timesEdit: Initially gave four stars. The feature I'd have liked to have seen added has been included in the 2.5 update. Looking forward to testing it out. :) Original review: A good solid app, but it would be a great improvement if it gave to rise and set times for the moon. If you're wanting to pick a night with no moon, the app will happily point to a night with a new moon, but completely ignore nights with a full moon that's below the horizon..Version: 2.5

✓ Best Astronomy Forecast - Broken since March 21This is the most accurate forecast I have found. A truly excellent app and would have received 5 stars except it has had a problem since March 21 ( now September). The app still seems to work for local forecasts I. The Uk but is showing an error message that global forecasts are not working . No update from the developer since March. Still, if you can put up with ok’ing the error message each time you use it it is still the best forecast out there..Version: 2.5.1
✓ Wish I’d have found this soonerI used to use ClearOutside, this is the same idea but actually works. Even for random locations in tiny towns near the desert I get so many location results. ClearOutside couldn’t even find major cities or counties I put in. Icons are great, really easy to understand, and hourly forecast on specific nights make it really easy to find key times to go out. I pair this with PhotoPills to plan my shots of the Milky Way and other nightscape scenes..Version: 2.5.1

✓ Useful but....I’ve been using this app since it came out and I do rely on it but the weather info provided to the app is not as accurate as I would wish. I now find myself cross checking with other sources of met data to see what the consensus is. But my biggest problem now is that the app no longer scales to my iPad Pro. This presents itself as the app screen is too big to fit on my iPad screen. So crucial boxes such as the search box is almost impossible to access. I reinstalled the app but it made no difference. ✓ Best Star gazing planing appIve been using the Scope Nights App for over 3 years now and it is invaluable for planning my viewing sessions, whether I’m planning a Messier Marathon or a transit of Mercury or a trip to Kielder Forest this app has it all, up to date weather forecasts, select your viewing time, and viewing location either by current location or move the map to a manual location and get a up to date forecast. ✓ No better app for amateur astronomySeriously this app tells you what a nights observing is going to be like. It showed -1c and sure enough I had ice on the tripod . If it says fair you will have some good sky and some rough. But when it says excellent it’s time for the thermals as it will be horizon to horizon clear. I can’t praise highly enough..Version: 2.5.1

It has all the information that I need in one place, not only informing me if it’s going to be a clear night but also what humidity to expect (important because high humidity may fog up your telescope) but also the moon phase.
