✓ My new favorite game!This game is insanely addictive! The RPG and strategic elements are incredible and plus I LOVE that they don't penalize you for dying. Most games now a days when you die or you run out of "energy" you have to pay 99 cents to replenish your HP but this one you can change the in game money to repair your ship than pay it off later with in game money. Here are m requests: 1) Please fix the gameplay for MeMe - make it so that it's ALWAYS tappable when it's on screen. It's SUPER FRUSTRATING to not be able to tap just because something else is happening (ie reload or repair) 2) Please don't leave me locked on one screen when I'm reloading or repairing. If there isn't a base attack underway, there's no need to make me sit and watch. 3) I've unlocked a second ship, but I can't launch it. Occasionally I'm allowed to upgrade parts of it, but I have no idea when or why. Please add more tutorial info! 4) Please SORT MY LOOT SCREENS BY TYPE. ✓ Get your 8-bit freaky onSomething about pixelated design and minimalist soundtracks creeps the heck out of me. If you enjoy games like Don't Look Back or vvvvvv, give this a shot. It's self-described one-button retro game but requires serious concentration and skill. The bad guys are creepy as hell, or just ridiculous, I can't decide. The post-apocalyptic storyline reminds me of something between Terminator and The Heavenfield. As with many games, you set out to defeat a series of bad guys and defend humanity, earn cash, and buy gear to defeat more bad guys as a story is slowly revealed. I'm not very far into it but I'm intrigued. Between the minimal yet perfect soundtrack, the steampunk/horror setting, and the gameboy-style design, my nerd heart sings..Version: 1.0.5

✓ 8bit game that shows depth = unreal.If you have history with the GameBoy series games where 8bit graphics was fun and you didn't care of the look, War of Eclipse is the same: the old school style look, simplicity and feel is very nostalgic and brings back fond memories of the past. Story has yet to be fully uncovered (becuz I haven't beaten the game yet) but the player will get a sense of where the story is just from the 1st cinematic. To be in command of your own ship is always fun and to receive gold, loot (parts) to refit your ship and customize it is enjoyable and provides a sense of pride in it. ✓ Fun Times In The ApocalypseThis game has some very unique styling and a very intriguing motif. The gameplay itself lends itself perfectly to one-hand play and has just enough complexity to be interesting to your typical RPG player. The only thing lacking is a narrative and chain of progression to tie it all together. The game consists of one battle after another until you eventually face off against one of the end game bosses. ✓ An Excellent Follow-up!War of Eclipse is an excellent follow-up to the quirky Tower of Fortune. It retains the same unique and beautiful retro art style but exchanges the fantasy setting for a sci-fi theme and the slot machine mechanic for a timing gauge. The game thrusts you into a post-apocalyptic scenario where you are tasked with upgrading an airship used to battle demonic flying creatures who emerged from a devastating explosion. The gameplay, art, and sound effects are a winning combination. In War of Eclipse permadeath is left behind in favor of possessing negative currency which prevents upgrading until restored. The difficulty level is extremely challenging in this context but not unfair. This game gets my highest recommendation. Note also that I have not experienced any crashing or other issues on the 4S..Version: 1.0.9

✓ Fantastic and AddictiveWar of Eclipse combines several different elements of games in general, and it does so masterfully. It's very enjoyable, if a bit aggravating with the difficult-to-hit marks. If I had one complaint, it would be that you can't use a single piece of ammo on an enemy. In fact, when you upgrade your aiming count, you have to use that amount of ammo for every volley. That means that even if the enemy is at 5 HP, you still have to use 4 shells if your aiming level is at 4. Otherwise, this game is practically perfect in gameplay and storyline. ✓ RefreshingIt's always nice to find a high-quality game on the App Store, but this one sets itself apart in two notable ways, one being a combat system that I do not see very often, and done in a way that I've yet to encounter outside this game, the other point is graphics, more specifically color, the game is 99% black and white but, given the story I think it goes quite well and supports the viability of the feeling the game gives off. That said, it is an iOS game and is thereby grindy and a bit frustrating at times, furthermore the story is quite absent for a considerable amount of the game, appearing almost entirely in text logs, which seem to speak more of the past than the present.
