Udemy Online Video Courses for Negative User Reviews

Useless on iPadCourses I’ve paid for don’t show up on the app on my iPad.Version: 8.43.0

Outdated platform, no updatesWhile the courses are good, the Udemy platform for mobile devices is disappointing. When going from pause to play, the screen remains dimmed still with the play/pause buttons still on, and you have to touch the screen again to make it disappear. The subtiles are in such a tiny font that completely defeats any purpose. Jumping from one video to another is choppy, often times leading to to videos sound playing at the same time. I have this app for years and did not see any improvement over time. It’s not user friendly and I think this company is getting complacent..Version: 7.1.1

Can’t watch downloadsCan’t watch downloads, also they just disappear sometimes and so I have to redownload.Version: 8.3.0

Only white screenLooks like app is not loading up please fix it thanks.Version: 8.12.0

(Edited) Thoroughly Annoyed!I’ve reviewed numerous apps over time and you guys are one of very few developers that actually respond, I appreciate that, thank you. For what it’s worth I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars because at least you guys interact with your users. I’ll be more than happy to give a great review and full 5 stars when the app itself is sorted out. Original Review: (1 Star) I downloaded an entire course on my iPad for me to be able to watch it at times when I can’t connect to WiFi. Half the videos that indicate they are downloaded will not play, I just get a stupid loading wheel. Now it won’t even play anymore when it’s reconnected to WiFi. The entire iPad app is trash, is mostly a stretched out phone app, I’d like to be able to view a list of videos in a course without having one of them play whenever I open the course. Separate the media player from the video list. The entire UI is awkward. The now playing bar thing on the bottom is cumbersome and not suited a a large screen iPad experience. The download feature is awkward to use, some sort of download manager would be nice. It would also be nice to have picture in picture mode available for videos so that I can take notes with my Apple Pencil in another app. The udemy content is good, but the app is not. It needs a lot of work..Version: 3.4.4

Annoying vídeo slownessIt is unbelievable how long it takes for videos to load and play and keeps freezing. Extremely annoying and not buying another course again until they fix this..Version: 4.5.1

Generally good but could be better in areasI have no problems with the content on Udemy, although their discounting strategies could be questioned sometimes, but we all know that. My biggest problem is the searching capability through a purchased course. Particularly one with a lot of content. As it stands the only way to search for a course video is to scroll down a list. Lots of people not only complete the course in a structured way but also use the course as reference material, and having a better way to find the reference course you need would be very beneficial. Ie, key word search function. The website is lacking this feature also..Version: 7.3.0

YikesUdemy would get 5 stars if it weren’t for this appalling app! Don’t damage your reputation by publishing such rubbish..Version: 4.5.0

Multitasking bugWhenever i’m watching a video and leave the app to go into another app and then come back, the video goes black and clicking the play button just results in audio playing. Have to go into another video then come back for the video to appear again. Seems like a pretty major bug to me and is quite annoying. iPhone 7 iOS 12.1.Version: 4.6.2

It’s good, does what it needs… But not what it says.Unfortunately this is a review for the app, not the courses otherwise it would be an immediate 5 Star… After downloading my course for offline, it turns out that doesn’t do anything. Still can’t access the course offline. What is that about? Then online or offline, I cannot open or view any references on my iPad. Great Courses available but unfortunately that’s not the work of the App Developers. The app is relying on the courses which are offered. Which until the app is fixed, are quite difficult to effortlessly follow along. Otherwise, best WEBSITE for online courses and such with some amazing tutors!.Version: 7.10.1

Worst customer service on planetI purchased two courses, and there is a message that my account is suspended at the login page, I sent an email, no response. Great job udemy!.Version: 8.59.0

App has so many issuesNow it won’t even open and I can’t even access my downloaded courses - which erase themselves, btw. Even after repeated updates with supposed bug fixes, it’s worse than ever.Version: 7.14.0

App crashing on startCan’t open the app as its crashing..Version: 6.4.0

Great in design but super buggyNice design and ease of use.....but bugs make it totally unusable sometimes and I have to view content on a PC. Examples: quizzes were crashing the app in iOS 12 but so far on 13 seem stable. Now I’m getting videos that frantically start refreshing when you go to play them, can’t get them to work at all. Forget about downloading anything, it’s very hit and miss and extremely slow. Most things will just sit on an empty download circle icon and nothing happens. Hope the devs fix the bugs as the app has a lot of potential. Using an iPad Air 2 running iOS 13.1..Version: 5.5.1

Don’t purchase any courseComplete waste of money they posted as life time access but the course disappeared within three months and it’s so so hard to reach their customer support team basically we can’t.. I purchase 3 courses and one course completely gone say this course no longer available.. waste of time and waste of money.. they should give easy access to reach the customer service...Version: 8.13.0

Needs split screenDevs, Please, PLEASE implement the ability use iOSs split screen function with this. It kills me that I have to keep switching back and forth between my note taking app and Udemy because it doesn’t allow for split view. I would deem this as a massive priority as udemy is an educational platform where the premise is for people to learn and take notes... I could have passed on the PiP player but it does not allow for scrubbing or time skipping which are essential in my eyes. Fix both of those and you’ll be onto a winner 👍.Version: 6.4.0

Udemy the website is good. Udemy the app though...Getting videos to play is a special occasional trick. Usually it just hangs with the spinner..Version: 3.4.6

Frustrating appMy experience of Udemy itself and the courses has been great so far. However I can’t say the same for the app. I simply want to cast the videos to my TV from the app the same way I do with Netflix etc. 2 out of 3 times the video wont cast and the TV says it’s waiting for the lecture.. but the phone says it’s playing on the TV or the phone video just flickers. I can’t discern a pattern or reason for this and it is very frustrating. This has happened with 3 courses by different creators so far, some have resources attached and others don’t. When it does actually work it’s great. And I only just got the app today so there’s no point uninstalling and reinstalling it..Version: 8.43.0

Horrible user experienceGood course contents, which I would be happy to spend good amount of money to buy more if the app is working properly. But unfortunately, the iPhone app is horrible to use and I definitely won’t use this app anymore once I finish the course that I bought (£10 that I whole-heartedly regretted spending). How horrible is it? Where to start... downloaded content never loaded offline or even online (shocking!) - and believe me, I’ve tried every single tricks listed in their FAQ but none of them worked... oh and the app would crash multiple times on start for no reason... There are just so many similar apps out there and not worth wasting your money and time on this one... stay away!.Version: 4.3.2

“Downloaded” Content IssuesI use the Udemy App on my iPad, and as far as the general use, interface, and all that goes, no complaints. The problem comes when I’m trying to watch “downloaded” coarse content. I like to download the coarse content so I can access it when I’m away from WiFi, like at the gym, on a flight, or wherever. So, I’ll download the coarse content when I’m connected to WiFi, and it shows that everything has downloaded, but then when I go to play it back, I just get the endless spin wheel, like the video is loading, but it never loads. Isn’t that the point of downloading?...you “pre-load” it in there so it doesn’t have to load? So, that’s my complaint with this app. The download feature does not seem to work correctly. It shows that content has downloaded, but then in trying to access that content, or play it back, it seems that it has Not downloaded. Please address this issue?.Version: 3.3.8

The worst customer serviceIranians, be careful that this app may slander you that you had access to your account from Iran and suspend your account even if you have never been to Iran and have no access from Iran, and it will not return your money..Version: 8.61.0

White screen with audioNothing but a white screen with audio. Broken app..Version: 3.3.2

Udemy is AWESOME but the mobile app is disappointingI love Udemy and use it constantly for work training and improving on my personal hobbies. In the browser, the UI is pretty good, the site works amazingly (it very rarely has technical glitches that amount to anything more than minor inconvenience), and the breadth of quality content is incredible. However, I’ve had a lot of trouble with the mobile app in the very brief time I’ve been using it. The screen gets very fuzzy and often stays that way for a long time so text and images are blurry, which makes it hard to see what the instructor is talking about; this happens in the browser sometimes, but never lasts more than a few seconds (< 5) before coming into focus. The other issue is that the audio keeps cutting out or falling behind, which I’ve never experienced in the browser. One of the best things about Udemy is the ability to change the speed of the video content—It should not be offered in the mobile format if the app can’t adjust the playback properly. The only “fix” I’ve seen for this is to click the “rewind 15 seconds” button, which wouldn’t be so bad if it were only once in awhile, but I’ve found myself having to do it several times even throughout the same video. I hope they are able to fix/improve this app, but for now I may just go back to browser-only use..Version: 5.2.2

App not workingApp not working in NZ. My iPhone software fully updated..Version: 8.13.0

Solid app, but if you use a VPN or switch connections beware. The app is solid, but it loves to force sign me out when I connect or disconnect from VPN or a different ISP. This wastes time signing back in and clears all app caches and saved content. Fix the sign out issues and it’s worth more stars..Version: 8.63.0

Buggy MessThis app is terrible. UI is unforgiving. AirPlay constantly breaks, dropping audio, forgetting where it was on the video, desyncing audio/video. “Test mode” fails constantly and tries to auto play the next episode even with auto play turned off. The web version doesn’t allow AirPlay, and is buggy as well, constantly refreshing over and over on a video if you have the audacity to swipe away from it while it’s playing. And of course, the video series I PAID for is DRM protected and not available for download, because F you that’s why. Forced in to a locked down system that barely works, and $bigCorp always wonder why people pirate things. I paid for several videos and can’t even watch them with any sort of reliability because of their garbage video player and DRM lockdown. Pro-Tip: use a VPN, or private browsing tab for Udemy deals. They’re scummy and raise prices tenfold but if you use a new IP you can get other courses for the same 4-5 bucks..Version: 7.8.0

Rubbish ScammersNothing loads, flickering screen trying to wait for loading causes Migraines! Awful service with really awful courses. No way to get refund in rubbish scam courses I fell for, just a library of scammers.Version: 5.5.1

Great courses, terrible appJust purchased a few courses on the excellent Black Friday sale. I’m shocked by how bad the app is. It takes forever to play videos (even on a stable 50/20 nbn connection), and gives up downloading courses only seconds after the downloads start, then doesn’t retry. They really need to put some effort into getting this stuff rock solid. It’s the app’s only purpose after all! Other than that, great content. I’ll be using the website for now though....Version: 4.4.1

Very slow speedWhile Udemy website works fine, the app is impossible to use due to very slow video downloading. It really takes an hour to download a ten minutes video. The developer will for sure answer to this or sure, reinstall the app blablabla. Here is my answer - Just fire your useless programmer.Version: 4.5.0

Won’t let me in using Apple IDWhen I create an account using Apple ID, states account created then states there is a problem. So try logging in using Apple ID, seems to work then states there is a problem. Helpful eh !!.Version: 8.2.0

Can’t open any course - the app crashesThe app’s updated to the latest version, I can’t open any course As soon as I click on the course the app crashes. Fiiiix please.Version: 8.55.0

Course downloads no longer workingCan no longer download corse for offline viewing..Version: 3.3.2

Offline download doesn't work. It's a horrible app. My offline content just doesn't seem to stick. After all the updates still has not been fixed. I have tried several times to redownload. My data churned through! update: June 2017. The new interface is horrible. Does Udemy do UX before releasing updates to the platform 😩😒.Version: 3.1.19

Great potential, poor experienceI really like the content but the app is buggy and lacks basic features. When I am watching a lecture while browsing the app, the video disappears while the audio still plays. The only way to get to it again is to navigate to the course videos which is frustrating. Also, if I am navigating while watching a video and click on the same video I am watching through the course video list, it reloads the video instead of recognizing that that is the video I am watching. The app should just recognize that is the video I am watching and just maximize it instead of reloading it. This would not be an issue if the video doesn’t disappear while I’m navigating. I am shocked this app has high ratings with all the bugs it has. I am trying to find excuses to give this app a higher rating, but for now 3 stars will have to do..Version: 5.2.0

Basically a video player that fails at playing video.Pros: I love being able to continue where I left off, mid sentence, when switching between my 8th Gen iPad, iPhone X, or PC. It seems to handle this well. Option to increase playback speed has proven to be very useful. I wish it was an on screen option instead of a behind a menu, but I’m not complaining. Cons: The bugs. Often with 20 seconds or so left on my iPad or phone, the video will freeze and audio will cut out, but the timer will continue to progress. The only solutions are to fast forward and rewind or switch to another video and reload the current. Thankfully it remembers your place. This happens on my iPad and iPhone. Also when multitasking you will come back to a black screen. If this happens you have to reload the video or the app. Also I do frequently get “Out of memory” errors on my iPhone X, even with all other apps closed. To think that a video playing app would be the one app to bring my phone to its knees is surprising... One feature suggestion would be to create some sort of bookmarked videos. There are often lessons I need to focus on and I’d love to have a playlist of those specific videos. If that’s a current festive, I haven’t found it. The bugs are the biggest issues though. I’m having to constantly babysit it to keep it functional. Great job on many of the things. Please fix the others. Thanks,.Version: 7.8.0

Overheat issue!!!!IPad Pro and iPhone both see overheat issue during video play. Please fix!!!!.Version: 8.17.0

A review for the application itselfThis app needs some work, some scrolling glitches are apparent and so fourth. (iPhone 8) The Udemy idea itself is fantastic though..Version: 3.4.4

Can’t even create an accountThere is a bug anytime I try to sign in or create an account. I click on a class and the app crashes. I just can’t use it..Version: 8.55.0

Pop out window issuesThere’s no easy way to submit a bug report, choosing the support option in the app links to a webpage where I have to sign in again… The pop out window reverts back to x1 speed when I pause and then play again. I then have to go into the app, change the video speed to x1 and then back to my desired speed and then click the pop out button and then go back to my app of choice, without pausing it, just to have it play at the desired speed again. Very frustrating..Version: 8.19.0

TV app is brokenThe TV app crashes immediately on startup. The mobile apps work fine..Version: 7.3.0

YouTube is betterThe course I paid for I learned the same information off of YouTube already. I definitely could have saved the money..Version: 8.63.0

Last update broke the app, why would you make it worse? The app used to work fine. I could download videos and press play, they would just play in the background no problem. Now the app constantly gives me the alert Low memory even when playing downloaded videos. I deleted the app and reinstalled and still have the same problem. I have over 2 GB of free memory on my phone and no other apps running and this still happens. I can’t control which part of the video I want to watch from Lock Screen, the slider is disabled now even though it worked before. Also because of the low memory error that is incorrect it cannot keep playing on to the next video. So when I want to play videos in the background I have to: Unlock my phone, open the app, press ok on the low memory error, click to the course I was just in, click the next video, click okay AGAIN on the low memory error that pops up immediately, turn off my phone (which causes the video to pause even though play on background is on) press play then press play a second time because the first time changes the icon to the pause icon but doesn’t actually unpause the video. Seriously, the app was working fine before, how do you keep making it worse everytime you update it?!.Version: 7.5.1

Fraudulent charges and no contact information for support.Udemy fraudulently charged me via apple pay twice (the first one caused me to uninstall the app and the second caused me to block my card on apple pay) and i had to go to apple to get these purchases refunded. when i tried to find any support contact information for udemy whatsoever i came up completely empty handed, no phone number, no email, and the support page is just an endless loop of faqs without any contact form. i love this app, i love learning on this app, but i should not have to jump through hoops just to notify someone about multiple fraudulent charges on my card. now i can't use my card on apply pay for anything because this app makes the process of resolving these issues completely impossible..Version: 7.10.1

Very very very bad appTested on 3 different iPhones and always run into issues. I try to use this app since 1 year and despite many updates there are always the same issue 1) problem with downloading content - no matter how short or long videos are, some lessons can’t be downloaded 2) you can’t download course as a whole with one click as most probably it won’t download. You have to download lesson after lesson but it’s still not guaranteed 3) even if you downloaded something it doesn’t mean you will be able to watch it (I.e.) in the tube. Some lessons just never starts and guy can try to close and open app as many tines as you won’t - you will not be able to watch it.Version: 4.6.1

Unable to download courses offlineI’m using iPhone 15 with iOS 17.4.1, trying to download a course offline, after waiting 30 minutes. Still loading, tried to download videos individually, no luck. To verify, I’ve tried to download another video from another course, same issue exists. This making me sad, as streaming while commuting eating my battery level. Please fix..Version: 8.63.0

Downloads fail often for offline playExtremely frustrating to think a download has synced but go out on a walk and half the downloads won’t play. Then when back on WiFi, trying to work out what has worked and what hasn’t is a nightmare. The played ticks disappear randomly. Sometimes when re downloading the previous downloads disappear which means you can’t rely on anything to cue you on what has played and what has worked, and what has failed and hasn’t been watched. I play these back to back without seeing the titles or the video while I walk, so the titles don’t help. Please fix the user experience!!! It’s probably 90% there IF IT WORKED! Content mostly good though some courses repeat the same thing in other courses so you only get 10% of the value of subsequent courses....Version: 4.5.0

Great Courses, TERRIBLE appSome days I literally regret spending my money at udemy. I am a delivery driver and work 2 jobs. All of my learning is on the go, it’s the only way I have time to further my programming skills. With the udemy app, turning my screen on/off will crash the app, it’s slow as turtles to load back up, then I’ll have duplicate videos in my course, the spot I left off on never picks back up where it should, and the videos THEMSELVES freeze and I have to pause/play it again to make it play. I mean, it’s really ridiculous. For a company dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge I feel it’s just insane that the mobile app is written so poorly with so many bugs. Dissapointing. On the flip side, the instructors and courses in udemy are top notch. They really are, and that’s why I continue spending my money here. Just PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, fix the app. EDIT: Today, I bought a new course and I cannot even access it. Even restarted my phone. The button on the course page says buy now, and when I click it it says this has already been paid for and will restore for free, then it just says processing on the udemy app..Version: 4.4.2

PaymentNever use Apply Pay for purchasing any course. I have used Apple pay to purchase a course and it is more than a day and still i didn’t receive the course and have to follow up with support team multiple times. They say its outside of their control and they need time to follow up Apple 🙁.Version: 8.45.1

App in a sorry stateAs many have mentioned, the Udemy courses are amazing. I have taken a TON of them. I love Udemy. The app has been great in the past. Unfortunately right now it is worthless. Currently 2 big problems: 1. Sound and video is constantly cutting out, which makes it completely unusable. I know it isn’t the course because the same course works perfectly on the web. 2. I thought it possibly had to do with streaming (even though I have a great internet connection), so I downloaded the course. Unfortunately this didn’t help the video issues, and when I tried to watch with no internet it has a huge “no internet connection” completely useless notification that doesn’t go away at the bottom of the screen and blocks video controls when watching if full screen mode... To developer: Yes I completely deleted my app and reinstalled, same issue. I also restarted my iPad Pro. Please fix ASAP and I will gladly update my review. Udemy devs, you would probably benefit from taking the amazing courses your company sells....Version: 5.7.1

Horrible app with absolutely no customer supportI purchased a course on here and within the course there was pdf resources with links to them. I could not open one single resouce, every time I clicked on them he only thing that would happen is the text color would change. I tried to find any way to contact them for help and could not find anything other than the FAQ. I found where I could request a refund and i clicked the box that said technical difficulties with the platform. It then asked me to explain what went wrong and only gave the option for credits rather than going back onto my card. As soon as I hit submit looking for some kind of help i no longer had access to the course. I really wanted the course so when I went to find it again it was $24 more expensive than before. I begrudgingly purchased it again hoping the resources would work and sadly I’m still left with not being able to access them AND I still can not find any way of getting real customer support to help me, even though I’m a paying customer..Version: 8.35.0

Annoyed with Buffering and Video not playingYeah. I love the courses on Udemy, and learnt a lot they are cheap. But recently I started having problem with the App. It is not responsive and halt every 2 minutes. The Videos doesn’t play well on wifi. First of all they do not buffer fast, and if they buffer then Video doesn’t replay. Secondly even if you download the course on app. Sometimes it takes ages to download and sometimes it is quick. But the problem is both ways you can not play for some reasons. I am using an Iphone X and even on Macbook same problem. The video doesn’t load and you have to waste time on Waiting. I am a big fan of udemy but recently it is wasting my time on sitting in front of computer/mobile and waiting to load the course. I am full time employee and struggling to study on Udemy platform. I believe other have same problems please fix the bugs in your system. BTW works fine on 4G mobile data but thats what I do not want..Version: 3.4.6

Buggy and slowWithin the first ten minutes of using the app it loaded the wrong lecture, then became unresponsive when I tried to change it. The lecture kept playing even when I exited the app, so I closed it fully and reopened it. The next document in the series wouldn't load at all, just the title and no content. Then the next lecture wouldn't load, saying I had no internet connection, but I could access other online features on my iPad. There is no way to reload the lecture that I can see, so I had to close the app fully again. However it still says no lectures can be loaded..Version: 4.5.0

IPad version is lackingLong time course creeper taking advantage of the COVID-19 lockdown to actually go through a class: character design! Perfect to do on the iPad with the special pencil, right? No, because they haven’t optimized it for iPad. The video keeps playing when I switch screens and *attempts* to do what other videos do and squish into the bottom right corner, and then it nopes out (still playing of course). Trying to go back and forth was rough since the video “forgot” all the data except where I left of and would have to reload every time I switched back. Downloading the course counters this just fine. I also noticed that Q&A comments that were clearly supposed to have photos attached didn’t show the photos! (kind of important in an art course...) Other than that, currently no issues. Edit: also, please don’t assume I want to jump right into videos when I click a course. I’d much rather see something more akin to a simple dashboard..Version: 6.1.1

Crash applicationI wont to search a course in search field and its crashs application..Version: 8.55.0

Udemy need to take they’re own courses! This app is worse than you could imagine, certainly from a UI perspective. Any course with more than 10 videos is difficult to navigate and the list of videos fails to stick with the videos you are watching. If you decide to skip ahead, good look finding where you were up to as it constantly keeps scrolling itself Back to the very beginning. Expand ‘ Collapse all!? You’d be so lucky, nope you cannot do this either. It’s truly as if the app developer needs to take some Udemy courses because it makes the latest iteration of iOS look terrible. Seriously, just use slightly more tolerable web version of Udemy because the app is an appalling abomination of an excuse for an education business. I could give excuses for a non profit but these guys are getting paid and worst of all, the developer of this app is too!!! I’d recommend Udemy begin offering some of it’s students some dev work as I’m certain they could do a far better job at this. It’s laggy, non intuitive, non inclusive with zero accessibility for those less able. It’s beyond excuses truly, just bad all around in every way, ios today make it easy for developers to do better and Udemy are clearly showing it’s not a priority to them..Version: 8.14.0

Courses Deleted if you get a new device!!!I just upgraded my iPhone and tried to re-install Udemy. I only have two e-mail addresses and I tried both, yet Udemy did not send the recovery password when I requested it to either e-mail. Support said to check spam, there were 0 e-mails on either account. I tried Facebook login, Google login, Apple login and e-mail login. None of them had my courses attached. How do all the courses I paid for and my account just go “missing”? I contacted support which took forever for them to respond and they also acted like I purposely deleted my account (why would I want to get rid of almost $100 worth of purchases?) Yeah, I did create an account — trying to find my past account and I deleted it because there were no classes associated with the account. Why can’t you reinstate classes that people purchased if YOU have a glitch? I even tried resetting my phone and re-installing the app. Nothing worked. Don’t waste your money on these “lifetime access” courses and don’t change your devices unless you want your account wiped from their system with no record of your purchases..Version: 6.0.2

Content great... if you can watch itI have learned a lot from Udemy courses. It’s my go to for training. However, I can’t understand the approach Udemy has taken toward the Udemy app for Apple TV. You just cannot get the Udemy app to log in on Apple TV. Support indicates they don’t support Apple TV... anyway, you can stream from the iPad to Apple TV. Which brings me back to iPad app. Yes, I can stream to Apple TV, but playback typically stops after every video. So back to the iPad app to unlock just to stream the next lesson. Yes, you can stream, just not in a stable manner using iOS and Apple TV. Get this app if you’re streaming to Chromecast, avoid for Apple TV. Airplay is screwed in this app and there does not appear to be a fix coming any time soon..Version: 7.4.0

‘Supermarket’ Teaching at its worstThere is no content curation, and the quality of courses vary horrendously - many are given by well-meaning amateurs with no didactic knowledge or teaching experience. Platform is buggy, and minor annoyances pop up repeatedly - like app reverting to portrait mode on iPad, after playing a video. Payment gateway is ridiculously bad - does not seem to accept any of my Australian credit cards - and developer is totally unresponsive (no reply after multiple attempts to sort out inability to purchase a course). Look for better content and more pleasant experience in competing platforms..Version: 4.5.0

Great courses, Glitchy app & dodgy invoicesThe courses are wonderful & I’ve managed to learn allot in a short time thanks to its platform! Sadly, the app makes it difficult to make use of some instructors materials combined with dodgy invoices, below is a list of my issues with the app; •I’ve recently been double & triple charged for non-existent courses. •sometimes there’s no course name on the invoice; how do you remember paying what for which course? especially when the price vanishes after purchase. •I see them both on my mobile & tablet app; but when I log onto my desktop none of my courses are there, which makes it difficult to access any material that’s only desktop compatible. • be mindful of what you click on from the list; look closely, because the course doesn’t always match with the link you see in the list but is actually for the one above or below it, and so you need to click titles above/below in order to find the one you intend to take. To avoid further strange bills I’ve blocked payments from my card for this app, and I’m sad to say altho there are many brilliant instructors on Udemy, I will not risk buying their courses until i know these issues are resolved..Version: 4.5.0

Content is good, app is garbageI cannot recommend Udemy with the current state of the iOS application. I have reported bugs months ago that still remain unfixed. I regularly see doubled two copies of each video, offline content will randomly refuse to play, section titles get renamed - it’s a complete disaster of an app and so much worse than, for example, the CBTNuggets app (which isn’t terrific, but does actually function!). Support will tell you to delete and redownload the app, which will work for a random amount of time and then the problems crop up again. This isn’t rocket science, guys. Sign-in not working at allI am able to login in website with same email and password but not able to sign in mobile application. So this mobile application is useless if i am not able to sign in..Version: 8.61.0

Some good courses. Bad UIThe UI doesn’t give the option to go back to all your courses once you’re in one. The only work around seems to be to close the application to get back to the Home Screen which will show your menu options at the bottom. A bit frustrating but otherwise nice to have a dedicated app, instead of using the web app. **update** in response to the developer. The small button the the top right corner is there on the initial video. However, when the next video is automatically played, the button disappears. Hopefully, that helps you guys troubleshoot the bug. Also. The UI does not show courses you get with the Udemy pro subscription. To find them you need to take a lot of steps instead of just having it appear in your “my courses”. Once you do find the course and start it, it doesn’t show up in your my courses. Also to find the practice tests, which show up on a drop down on a web browsers, isn’t an option. So you need to manually find the practice course..Version: 7.3.0

What a trash appI like Udemy platform , but this app is trash..always pops up like “an error has occurred while loading this lecture”...Version: 8.9.1

App is terribleThe courses on Udemy are great, and I’ve had good experiences while streaming on a really good internet connection on a desktop. However, the iPad app is terrible. After spending hours downloading the course I had bought, the app doesn’t allow me to play without an internet connection. On top of this, every time I connect to the internet to play the course, each segment is removed from the download list as soon as playback starts. I’m then just left with huge buffering times for a 480p video that I’ve already downloaded..Version: 4.6.2

Great videos but a very buggy appThe courses on Udemy are great. However with my experience, every one in two videos will stop playing and it will show the buffering screen with the timer going. The only way to fix it is to end the app and open it again. Just going back a few seconds does not help as the video will again stop at the same location as it did before. Entire app needs to be closed for it to work again. The destroys the learning experience and focus. I do not face this weird issue with any other app that streams videos..Version: 7.6.1

Some great courses. Buggy App!The site, it’s content and individual courses is for another review. This review is for this mobile app which has been very frustrating for past 6+ months I’ve used it. Updates never address these problems! - Sometimes lectures won’t download. Maybe entire section downloads but one lecture in that section is impossible to download. - Sometimes I study for hours with no problems. Other times a video won’t load, I try on cellular instead of WiFi still no good. I relaunch the app, trying again, and now when I go to my course and I start to scroll through to find where I left off (a separate annoying feature) I find that each section has only 1 lecture listed underneath making 99% of the course invisible. The only solution I have found to this is throwing my phone across the room and running udemy in a browser on my laptop. Considering I’m using Udemy to learn computer coding and I need my whole screen space for the project this is very frustrating..Version: 4.6.0

Missing Chromecast becomes uselessThe Udemy platform its awesome! I have been using for a while and like others, I normally cast from my iPhone to my TV. Something went wrong with the last updates and it’s missing this feature l. I’d love to have it back (5 star when it’s done). As a work around, I’m watching through the TV Cast app, accessing Udemy website which makes this app useless. Other then that, the new app fixed the offline issues I had and it’s good. That would be nice having my last watched instead of going to the home page to buy new courses. I do understand it’s their marketing, but out at least a floated button to “keep watching”. Thanks.Version: 3.3.4

No Apple TV supportAfter ios 14 update Apple TV support has been revoked!! very disappointing.Version: 7.3.0

Latest version (7.4.0) won’t load on iOS 12I don’t know what changes were made to the latest version of this app (7.4.0), but it crashes on load on the iOS 12. I’m running 12.5.1, unable to update to iOS 13 due to the age of my device, but that shouldn’t matter, especially considering this app worked prior to the latest update. I hope an update in the next few days will fix this issue, because I would like to carry on with my learning..Version: 7.4.0

Worst Video App EverTrying to use this on a iPad and it is the worst app ever! Ignores touches etc; so it becomes impossible to do pausing rewinding, full screen etc. Constantly having to kill the app off. Trying to use it while doing a piano course and it is complete ruining the course. Maybe I should put a desktop on top of the piano instead! Why do Udemy continually treat its customers this way, allowing such a bad app to continually ruin courses? This app has been causing issues for a number of years and still nothing is done to change the developers. Update 2020 - after a number of years I tried this app again and nothing has changed. On the iPad app I tried downloading a complete course and the app did not download all videos and some videos only partly downloaded. The download are also slow. I believe the issue is with the app trying to download everything at once. Gave up, I won’t try again. I will continue streaming on a laptop..Version: 6.4.0

The beauty of Offline mode is goneI am an active user of udemy courses and most of my time try to download content to learn during my way to work. This because of the lack of time and data. This option is perfect for people who has considerable time commuting to work or university. Once you finally download content which takes ages downloading, the app becomes to a vending machine so slow to delivery and play the content and also crash after a non response or time out. What's going on? Can you please fix this on the next release? Thanks in advance!.Version: 4.5.3

Keeps stallingThe course selection is great and I’m trying to learn two things at the moment, BUT I downloaded everything onto my iPad pro so I could use it offline, and none of the lessons will load. They only work if I delete the download and use them online, and even so, they stall constantly. There’s nothing wrong with my internet connection, it’s something to do with the app. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get into a lesson but it just keeps stopping. I can see from past reviews that this is a known problem, and the developer said they were working on it three months ago. FYI - You haven’t fixed it yet..Version: 4.5.0

No download!!I doubt I would have purchased products on Udemy if I had known how their set up was. most of their products can only be streamed or downloaded to the mobile app but no desktop downloads! they say due to piracy issues, completely understandable but the streaming software is buggy and needs to be updated. I stream video from the usual places Netflix etc. without issue in HD but Udemy software is constantly buffering and won’t load making it impossible to use their courses. And I have tried to download courses to the mobile app multiple times. on three different devices, Over different Wi-Fi’s and on phone data plan. I’ve tried downloading different courses to mobile device without success, downloads will usually complete around halfway to 3/4 and then stop and never finished downloading the rest of the way. Since streaming capabilities are clearly not up to par, they should make downloading an option to desktop, otherwise they should notify people before purchasing that you’re only allowed to “rent” their courses since if I cannot download it I technically don’t own it. It’s truly unfortunate because they offer many great courses at very reasonable prices. I feel like they just need to be upfront about how their product is distributed..Version: 4.5.3

Good but...Very slow streaming of videos, keeps lagging and pausing to load more..Version: 3.4.10

Good courses but random offline mode (either online)So frustrated after every release... I have ton of Udemy courses and when I buy a new one and download everything, iPhone 8 and iPad Mini 2 get stuck when using “Download All”. Ok I use Download section instead. This morning, I open my course in the tube and nothing works. Just a loading screen for the video player! ipad problem maybe, let’s try iPhone 8 and same thing!!!! When’ve got the again connection, I tried the played them and just loading like offline! Kill the app, reboot devices, nothing! Just bad testing before releases and you never know if it’s good or not to update the Udemy app... I’m tired guys!.Version: 4.5.0

Content good. App itself is just okIt’s a simple video steaming app. It does have the offline download option but when you download it keeps crashing.Version: 8.63.0

Many bugs and poor reliabilityWhile most Udemy courses I’ve used are really informative, the App is a huge disappointment and forced me to transfer to using the web version. There are many bugs; videos stop unexpectedly, when swapping out of the app and returning videos will often not continue playing without a reload or waiting a long period of time. Videos jump about unexpectedly. Marking of completed videos is not consistent and there is no way to check a video as complete without watching to the very last second unlike online. With a site offering a plethora of videos on making apps, perhaps the developers should pay for a few courses themselves? Ouch..Version: 7.4.0

Incredibly buggy but great it existsI’m incredibly glad this app exists as a number of learning sites don’t have one. Having airplay is also incredibly useful so that I can stream a course to to while I’m having my morning coffee. However there are 3 major bugs I constantly hit: 1. Airplay fails to play the next video maybe 40% of the time one ends 2. Airplay skips over videos. Probably 90% of the time, when it doesn’t just stop working at the end of a video it will skip the next video and play the one after 3. It starts playing at random while my iPad is in standby, hours after I stopped a video. I’ve had it twice where I’ve walked into a room to hear a video playing with my iPad cover closed, the day after watching a video. I’ve also has a congratulations on watching 100 hours email while on holiday because it started and played an entire course days after I left. Hopefully these bugs are fixed in time because I still love that it exists and kinda works.Version: 8.51.0

Mediocre on the iphone/iPad, awful on applets, ? PricingThe iphone /iPad app gets it one I suppose. But not for casting. Which is bad because you have ™ cast. The applets app is literally a launch screen to download the phone app and cast to your tv. It doesn’t continue playback of the course when backgrounded - if you background it it loses track of progress, it’s just meh. Not the worst and not the best. That would have earned it 3 stars - rounding up but for the fact this weirdo bait and switch new user sign up stuff. You’re so anxious to get a new users you sell a £499 course at £15 or whatever but you don’t apparently want to keep customers. It’s a weird business model I don’t much care for. Price something, move on. Subscription model for learning is really the way to go on this type of site. I don’t need to own a course forever unless I can transfer it to someone, which I can’t.Version: 8.6.0

Too ExpensiveIt’s only worth it when you initially join and courses are $10.99. There are many other great sites and apps available which are either free or give you unlimited access to all their courses for a very reasonable monthly fee..Version: 5.5.1

Fix Your App. No excuses. This is completely unacceptable performance for an app for courses people have paid to take. The app is terrible, won’t let users log in, lags, errors out during video lectures. I have seen person after person bring up these issues but you pretend like they aren’t happening or like they’re some kind of user error. Your customers are not being paid to do QA work for you. It isn’t the responsibility of customers to bring these bugs to your attention. And even when they do, your feedback is “please contact support”. No. Fix your app so people can have access to the courses they purchased. You had time to update your logo, but in the several months I’ve been trying to use your app, you couldn’t find time to fix the major bugs? And judging by the reviews, these issues have been going on for a long time. I got the latest update in hopes that you had finally made the necessary fixes, but actually now it’s completely unusable. This isn’t okay and I won’t be recommending Udemy to anyone or purchasing any more courses until this is resolved..Version: 8.1.0

Slow and ClunkySo I love the Udemy library. The variety of tutorials is awesome. The problem is the iPhone app. Loading up takes a very long time even on a good WiFi connection. The main issue I have is downloading tutorial videos so far have proved pointless. They stop mid way and won’t play. So initially I thought I’d download tutorials to watch on the bus and make the most out of my time, problem is launching the app on 4G takes forever to load, then navigating to my library and the video I want takes a painfully long time. Once I finally watch it the video can’t be watched to the end because all the downloads are corrupted somehow. Waste of time. Then I’d go home and try to finish the video on a good WiFi connection (assuming the issue may have been poor network and not the video itself) however the video stops at the same point and I can’t see it all until I delete the download. Please sort this out. I thought it would have been as smooth as something such as the Netflix app, where I can download successfully and watch easily, even in flight mode.Version: 5.6.0

Great Company, App needs workI love Udemy. I have several courses and most of them have significantly helped in my line of work and various hobbies. That said, I primarily use the web version over the app. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a total app nerd and ideally I’d be using the Udemy app for all my learning. However, there are various problems/bugs that keep it from being my go-to. First off, I am running it on an iPhone XS Max with iOS beta software 12.4. So keep that in mind while I rant. It could just be the phone OS that’s causing the problems. The most irritating of the bugs is the duplication of listed lessons. For example. Every so often when I go to a course, all the lessons are duplicated so that they show up in the order: 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, etc. I have to log out and back in to resolve the issue. The next issue I’m having is that sometimes when I try to download a lesson for offline viewing, it will stop almost immediately and tell me “Download Cancelled”. And finally, I’m not fond of the fact that part of the screen is cut off when viewing lessons in landscape mode on my iPhone. It’s a very small portion that is cut off, but sometimes I need to see that portion. And to do so I have to scroll the screen down. Overall I love what Udemy offers. It’s easily my favorite platform for learning new skills and improving old ones. As soon as the app gets up to speed with the browser experience, I’ll be all over it..Version: 4.9.0

Annoying Pop Ups!Udemy is great, the content is great, but whenever I navigate around the app I get popups , “rate this course”, “schedule a learning time”, “what are your career goals?”, gets in the way of my learning, makes me want to go back to the website version..Version: 8.38.0

No offline playback on iPad ProI downloaded a whole course but for some reason the app is deleting the video right when I make the selection to watch the video, rather than when I’ve finished watching the video. This means that there is basically no offline viewing of the material, even though I spent the time to download it. Please fix this bug. Also need an option to retain videos even after watching. The course I have recommends one go through watching and a second following along. With the setup now, I have to download each video twice, rather than just being able to download and retain until I’m done with them. edit: Got a response from the developer, but it didn’t address the problem of deleting already downloaded videos. This problem exists when you are totally offline, no WiFi, no cell connection. After reading other reviews it seems like a problem that has existed since at least December of last year. I hope they address it soon and will update my rating if they do..Version: 4.8.0

IOS LetdownOverall, Udemy is a fantastic platform with some really excellent courses available, covering a multitude of subjects. Unfortunately, the iOS app is horrendously slow, buggy, and generally frustrating to use. Often times it will simply freeze and restart the video when I attempt something as simple as entering/exiting fullscreen mode. Ironic, as they have a whole bunch of courses on app development, UI design, etc..Version: 8.35.0

Very poor offline supportA decent app interface but with a major issue in that after confirmation that the lectures have been downloaded for offline viewing, they often fail to play and get removed automatically when attempting to view. Some play, many do not. Looking over the reviews, this has been an issue for over 3 years. Please do fix it - most of my learning happens on the train / plane where connections are poor at best so I really need better offline support. Other learning platforms (and Netflix / Prime video) don’t seem to have the same issue.Version: 8.39.0

Miserable App Experience. The courses on Udemy are great. This app is not. I truly cannot understand how the development team still have jobs -- perhaps they don't, as it feels as though everyone was fired after a month of work on this wretched, buggy hellscape of an app. There are an ABSURD number of bugs. Too many to list here. But they make the user experience utterly horrible and not conducive to learning. Trying to take notes is impossible; Every time I switch between this app and my note taking app, Udemy crashes. I can't even use the miniplayer feature while taking notes. Nope. It crashes. Want to adjust the speed? Crash. If you're lucky, the video just bugs out. Want to go to the next lecture? The app locks up. Learning to use this app isn't a matter of becoming familiar with the UI, but rather learning your way around the constant barrage of glitches, freezes, and crashes. Shockingly, gut-wrenchingly poor quality overall. I truly cannot wrap my head around the sheer incompetence of everyone involved in this app's development..Version: 8.8.0

Bad app! Misleading rating! Waste time! The app has numerous issues like video cannot be displayed continuously when correctly setup. Video stream runs into pause is normal. The download is absolutely a joke. The support will ask you signed out, delete content, delete app, delete content etc. which is just waste of hours struggling. I didn’t even mention the refund but the support gave me $5 voucher. Humiliation! Your customers’ time cost is way more than your thought. The app is absolutely below standard as streaming app is quite mature technology. The 4+ review is absolutely misleading I will report apple to investigate..Version: 3.4.7

Did not receive what I paid for 👍🏻This app has zero customer support. All it does is send you on a never ending goose chase through customer support articles. I purchased a course and did not receive it. Of course the payment was successful and they took my money, right… It goes on to say, “ Payment successful but your enrollment failed” Then it sends me directly to a message box “for customer support” Guess what…? Message send failure over and over and over. I really want the course and it’s on sale. So, I try buying it again. Same thing, repeat of the first time. Now I’ve been charged twice for the course and receive nothing. Since their customer support is non-existent I call apple. They deny my refund because the charge went through it looks like I got the product. What a crappy experience man, you would think that apple would have your back… NOPE I’m just an average broke dude trying to further myself in life by learning on a budget. I mean, that’s what this app is all about right? Offering people an alternative to expensive schools and classes that can’t otherwise afford it? Good job guys high five on that one 🤚🏻 Great job apple thanks for having my back, I’ve only spent thousands and thousands of dollars with your company loyally over the past 15 years. Oh, and you’re welcome for the $50, maybe consider putting it towards a customer support team before you run everyone else off 💯.Version: 8.18.0

Doesn’t seem to work properly with Apple TV 3rd Gen...The iPhone app seems to work well enough, I like that courses can be downloaded so they are accessible whilst offline / on Cellular Data. I have been having issues with using Udemy on my Apple TV 3rd Gen; for some reason after a few videos it decides to stop working entirely? I know that the Apple TV 4th Gen+ has its own Udemy App but it would be nice for the previous generation would work properly, I don’t seem to have any issues using other apps via AirPlay!.Version: 3.4.4

Love Udemy....but not the app.I absolutely love Udemy. I’m beginning to hate the app. They apparently once had an app for Apple TV but decided to abort it once apple developed the ability to airplay or cast your videos to the Apple TV from the iPhone. However, you can only cast from an iOS device and not a computer. Annoying, but that part isn’t necessarily Udemy’s fault. Udemy has a feature where you can increase the playback speed of the video. It’s great for instructors who talk slowly or for a lesson you might already be pretty familiar with but only want to brush up on. Well, when you increase this playback speed and then cast to your Apple TV, you may or may not have audio. More likely you won’t. I have to continually hit pause, play, pause, play, pause, play until the audio finally kicks in. I have to do this for each lecture. Additionally, if you pause a lecture for more than a few seconds, the Udemy app decides to start playing again on it’s own, but the real fun part is that it doesn’t start playing from where you paused, it jumps to an entirely new lecture. Need to go to the bathroom? Don’t pause it! Unless you want to spend the next 15 minutes trying to figure out where you actually left off. These issues are quite annoying and really affect the productivity of the learning process..Version: 7.10.1

AARRGGHH! Videos won't playI'VE GOT VIDEOS DOWNLOADED INTO THE APP THAT WON'T EVEN PLAY!! This app randomly floats between reasonable an useless. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I've spent hundreds of dollars on courses and struggle to view them at times. You would think that an app that clearly turns over MILLIONS of our dollars would be working correctly before the developer releases an update. But no, not these guys. Freezes between videos and I have to shut the app down and restart it. Can no longer double tap in the video to make it fill the screen. The on screen controls come and go at random. C'mon guys. This is disappointing. Lots of courses available. Some great, some not so great. Over recent history, this app is up and down with its reliability. What's the point of all this great content if I can't even view it?? Please fix bugs. When I tap support within the app, nothing happens!! PLEASE FIX THE APP.Version: 2.6

I rate Udemy courses but...The iPhone app is frustrating! I airplay to my Apple TV but whenever I pause, the app will start at a completely new section of the course or pause for a bit and then start playing - which of course is frustrating when you walk away and come back to find the course is playing when you know you paused it. I’m scratching my head as to why they took the Apple TV app away, it worked so well! You’re usually going to need two screens to follow along otherwise you’re constantly pressing pause and play. This is a big deterrent for me and I think I’ll have to find another learning platform :(.Version: 7.8.3

Terrible connectivity2 for design, 1 for connectivity. The app was decent until several versions ago and it’s been completely frustrating since. Enjoying the course but hating this stupid app..Version: 3.4.11

Bugs, Bugs and more BugsI think the developers should take advantage of some of the fine IOS development courses offered at Udemy. And perhaps some of the UI/UX courses. App is very buggy. Crashes randomly. Screen would rotate 180 degrees (up side down) when you play the preview videos. Have to rotate device back and forth to “fix” the the issue. Sometimes the next video in the course would play automatically. Other times, not. Need to restart app to restore functionality sometimes. Would also like to see it updated to support newer devices such as the 2018 iPad Pro I am using. Would also like to see some of the functionalities such as the playback speed and captioning options made more easily accessible (e.g. directly on the screen overlay along with the playback buttons). I believe these functions are used often enough given the nature of the contents (i.e. training courses) that they deserve to be in a more accessible location rather than behind another menu. I would even suggest some gesture controls for skipping backwards and forwards instead making the user try to push tiny buttons that are a miss half the time..Version: 4.4.0

Needs a Complete OverhaulIt's a real shame the app isn't built by some of the people who provide some of the tutorials. While some of the course content is excellent, unfortunately being able to watch the courses is often near on impossible, especially on I pads. Tutorials take forever to load, if at all? And if you're lucky enough to get it up and running? It more often than not constantly crashes. A more stable and smoother user experience needs to be a priority. I am sure if Coursera, and Udacity can offer excellent user interfaces, with a smooth and pleasant operation then Udemy can too? Here's hoping. Udemy have recently updated the app with a new user interface, so now the app does not work at all on my iPad, I have spent a lot of money on tutorials that I now cannot watch. I imagine many people cannot go out and purchase the newest iPads? So will be left in the same situation? Doesn't even work in chrome or Firefox in browser, so they have actually managed to make an already terrible app, even worse. Congratulations..Version: 3.4.7

Not good enough for paying customersIf I'm going on the tube I have to start playing my courses before I lose signal. If I don't then the app will just hang when I click my courses. I will get a hanging page on my journey somehow: the courses page or a video page. It will hang and hang with no spinner or error message. The app devs saying "it's a known issue" then why don't you log errors, tell the user there's something wrong? Tips for users And when you get a download glitch then reinstalling works. And if your download circle for a video loads in one pop (rather than gradually) then that'll be a dud file. Delete and try again. Tips for the developers Download all - flaky. All but unusable Download section - flaky. Pretty unusable. Download individual video - flaky. 9/10 success. Watching video with connection - flaky. Mostly ok if you have downloaded video already. Very slow to start first vid sometimes Watching video without connection - flaky. Error rate: a 14 minute journey always has a fatal error And what's with the clunky "hey I've just had a memory leak warning, I'm going to close this bit" message? That doesn't make anyone feel safe or that they're using a quality product. Start using our money for app development.....Version: 4.5.2

Pianoforall.Purchased this course in October 2018. Worked fine till now, December 2018. Videos don’t load in full screen, you have to load using “picture in picture”. If you are lucky, the video will start and you can revert to full screen. Then slide the white progress button to almost the end, then slide it back to the beginning. This sometimes works. I say ‘sometimes’ as it doesn’t always work! All in all very disappointing. But there is good news, here’s a tip, the content is good. So, download all the PDF’s and put them in files and follow them without the video’s. Rated 1 star...Version: 4.4.3

App ruins UdemyGreat courses and lecturers but the app is absolutely woeful. Doesn’t download lectures properly, buffers continually on a ultra fast connection, even on the lowest quality setting. Clunky, non-responsive piece of junk. The FAQ section is also useless with very little trouble shooting at all for the app itself (its mostly focused on using browsers)..Version: 4.3.1

Mostly Great - Has issues with BluetoothThe content on Udemy is first class, so that part is 5 star. So this review is just for the iPhone app. You can easily play content, and download to play off line, that is very good. It has a couple of quirks, though, and one deficiency. Quirk 1: you can’t play/pause using Bluetooth. I’ll qualify that to say that you can play, but not pause. I tested with Apple AirPods and Bose Quiet Comfort and neither could pause. This is inconvenient, because sometimes I’ll have my phone plugged in and will be listening to a lecture and I have to walk over to the phone to pause. Quirk 2: The “my courses” section will sometimes just appear empty. If I close & reopen the app, it refreshes and I see my courses. I think the app doesn’t gracefully handle being connected/disconnected from Internet access and then doesn’t properly display content. Deficiency: You can’t bookmark or see bookmarks in the app. These exist in a full Internet browser, and are very useful. I often use my phone for watching lectures though so I can multitask when the lecture doesn’t require a hands on activity - then I go back to my laptop when needed. I would like for the app to have bookmarks that are synced to Udemy so that they appear for me everywhere..Version: 5.8.3

Pretty good app, but...1. To rep: Still need to align apple pricing to get the same deals on the app as the website. - Thanks for your reply, however fiddling around isn’t what I want to do to get a discount. The simplicity of just tapping a few buttons within the app and using my already stored payment details with Apple is really the only way I’ll be buying courses. Having to store my details or use them directly with Udemy is not an option. 2. To rep: Also, mirroring the courses to Apple TV is a poor experience. The controls permanently sit over the playing video. Do you actually test all the functions before you release updates? Note to Udemy rep: Don’t reply telling me to email you directly, if you have a response for me, supply it here for all to see..Version: 3.4.4

BewareThey cancel courses you pay for and get you to pay, again and again. I bought a course on permaculture, was halfway through it on their app, then it disappeared. No record of it, they sent no receipt, I bought it online using a bank card, accessed it, was halfway through, obviously there is no apple receipt because it was bought on their own website. They have no way to contact them, no customer support, I already tried everything..Version: 8.15.0

IOS No SplitscreenThe Udemy app on the iPad is incredibly frustrating. They have still not enabled splitscreen functionality which makes following along with a course cumbersome and difficult. I recently subscribed to Skillshare which has some of the same content and allows for splitscreen which means that I can watch the instructor’s actions and do them myself on the relevant app without constant up and sideswiping. How can Udemy possibly justify this as it is so clearly both possible from their end and beneficial for their users. I won’t be buying any of their iPad related courses until they can be bothered to implement a feature that has now been available for years..Version: 5.3.0

The app gets worse with every dayI pause the vid and if i don't start it again within about 30 seconds it will not play, it will show that it is playing with the pause icon, but nothing shows. so i have to track to the prior vid then back and then it plays. some times i pause and then push play with BT and it plays, then after about a min it will pause by itself and i can't play it again until i do the same as above. if i put the phone on standby, then try to go back into the vid it will act like it's buffering, even though i downloaded the content. also if i put the phone on standby it will stop playing (i expect that ) but i then have to hit pause then play about 3 times to get it to start playing. WOW, i spend more time trying to get it to play then doing training. UPDATE: now every other day the app drops the offline download for watching training. they can update the logo, but not fix the issues?.Version: 8.0.0

Poor UX on iOSI am not quite sure why the UI is so bad on Apple iPhone 11 or on my iPad Pro; I only know it is bad. The app has lots of rendering issues switching from the vertical to the horizontal view. Today, the list of sections for the AWS CPP exam are being rendered incorrectly. Video clips actually appear under the wrong section in both views. I’m uncertain how to fix this. I checked and I am on the latest version and there are no pending bug fixes for this behavior that I can see. Also, pausing the app has been a problem since I started using it last Summer for training. If I pause it and come back after an hour or so, I always have to reboot the app. Otherwise it sits there unresponsive to any request. I often resort to just using the Udemy website for my phone or iPad because the app is that poor. I have found the desktop version of the site with my old Dell laptop running Ubuntu Chrome has actually been best. I wish that was not the case because I would like to use the iOS app with my phone and AirPods as I work around the house on mindless things like mowing grass or cleaning. Please fix UI issues for a better UX folks because I really enjoy your courses. Thanks!.Version: 7.10.1

NightmareThe app keeps crashing and hardly plays videos. I frequently have to close the app and reopen again to play lecture videos. Pity that I cannot give zero stars..Version: 4.4.1

Great courses, terrible appLike so many others, I'd like to add my voice to the choir in hope that udemy actually spend a bit of money and fix this app. Basically, downloading courses doesn't work. Over the past year I've tried 3 different courses and have never once been able to download an entire course. And because the app doesn't download lessons in order, I never have had enough to complete a few lessons in a row. As such, my third attempt at learning something on this platform is about to join the dinosaurs. It's a pity as there's so much potential, but I'll be cutting my losses and looking elsewhere from now on. It's clear udemy don't care to (or are too cheap to) fix their app..Version: 4.3.1

Video playback controlsI’m a big fan of Udemy and I have learned so much from the programs offered. Recently, I started learning keyboard as a new hobby during quarantine. I keep my iPad open on the music rest to read lessons and to play along with the instructor videos. Anyone who has taken piano lessons knows that getting good is dependent on repetition and practice. This is where a problem with Udemy comes in. While listening to lessons, there’s a lot of pausing and hitting the rewind 15 seconds button. Every time, the playback controls stop working. I have to manually crash the app 4-5x per lesson. This makes the learning experience miserable. Imagine if you’re reading a textbook, you think about what you read for 3-5 minutes, you look up and see that your book has been thrown across the room and you have to pick it up and find your place again. This is what using Udemy to learn piano feels like..Version: 6.4.0

Great course, bad appThe course I am taking is great, if this were a review about content it would be an easy 5 Star. Unfortunately I can’t give it a good review because the app makes it very difficult to access the great content. Perhaps is because my phone is an older iPhone (iPhone 5), but the app will regularly fail me in a variety of ways. Sometimes it won’t let me select previous lessons, sometimes I can’t select the current lesson after reviewing a previous lesson, sometime the video won’t load at all, and the download feature never works. Sometimes everything works perfectly giving me a glimpse of the experience I could be having (except the download feature). Today’s experience has been the most frustrating because no amount of closing the app and reopening it has helped, it still refuses to load the video. The apps biggest saving grace is that the mobile website is even worse. It’s a shame because I love the course but it doesn’t mater how nice the product is if I can’t access it..Version: 4.0.1

Great content; buggy iPad appI do mostly coding courses and like to use my iPad as a second screen to play the course while I work through the lessons. But the iPad app is so buggy. Sometimes it doesn’t record what lessons I have completed, when I try to suspend the app and go to the home screen the lesson keeps playing. Today, the app bugged and when I restarted the app I’m UNABLE TO ACCESS LOTS OF THE LESSONS ON THE COURSE I HAVE PAID FOR AND AM CURRENTLY WORKING THROUGH. I can still access the lessons on a web browser on a computer though. Really inconvenient, please fix soon.Version: 6.3.1

Slow and next to impossible to read reviewsNot sure why but its next to impossible to read reviews as it freezes when you click “more reviews” and scroll down. Also, very slow.Version: 6.8.1

Even with all my background apps closed the app still crashes. The app will sometimes prompt you to close background apps to help it run. However even when I do close every application except the Udemy app. The app will still randomly crash and send my back to my home screen. Not to mention the app will sometimes just freeze altogether. The courses are great but the app on my 2018 iPad Pro is just terrible. It’s almost impossible to watch a course without having to restart the app every five to ten minutes. And I’ve already closed all the other apps in the background. Definitely needs to be fixed..Version: 7.0.1

Art course strugglesLove the concept and website of Udemy but I am becoming beyond frustrated with the app. Participating in one of the art courses and in the q&a section I can’t find a way to upload a photo from my phone. Looked multiple times tried copying and pasting nothing seems to allow me to include a photo which is essential for help in an art course. My other problem with the q&a section is the loading. I’ll get one post to load, scroll down wait a few minutes for the next to load, try to scroll back and everything is gone again. Or suddenly I’ll have jumped up five posts or more with one loaded, but as soon as I scroll everything is gone again. This makes it nearly impossible to participate in discussions on that board. With the q&a seeming to be the backbone of communication for the app I’d think it would be a little more reliable and user friendly..Version: 3.4.7

App is having some huge error handling issues. Content of Udemy is greatHi I am using an iPhone XS Max iOS 12.x, even though the user experience from a point of GUI the app is offering is very appealing and easy to use and navigate and Udemy is a very good concept and source for learning, when I try to watch a lecture from one of my courses through the app it loads up the recent one I’ve been watching and then rarely jumps to the next ones throwing me an error that I have no internet connection while I clearly do. Same spiel when I try to load a different lecture other than the pre loaded one. I tried using it over WPA WPA2 WiFi’s and over 4G mobile data connection and the error is consistent, appearing most of the times on mobile data, restarting the app and clearing the cache solves the issue most of the time but just for one lecture, then 90% of the time it fails to load the next one..Version: 4.5.0

Excellent courses that are let down by buggy appI’ve been using Udemy for years and have learned a lot. The courses I’ve purchased have generally been excellent and have brought me up to speed quite quickly with various topics. I’m not sure what has happened to the app but I find the screen keeps going black and becoming unresponsive when watching videos and I have to close and restart the app. This becomes frustrating quite quickly - it used to be excellent as well..Version: 7.8.3

Good app, mobile version missing functionalityOverall, this app is good and I’m glad I found it. There are a lot of courses to choose from and pricing is great when you hit a sale. That being said, the mobile app is missing some functionality I’d like to see. A few suggestions below: I use a lot of music theory and instrument lesson courses. I wish there was an option to loop/automatically repeat a video for backing tracks in lessons. I’m sure this could also be useful for other course types as well. It would be great to be able to save individual lessons into a Favorites section for easy reference later and maybe even be able to organize them into handy playlists. Favorites could also be marked and categorized as favorites within the main course lesson list for even more visibility of lessons you want to be able to find quickly. I also don’t see a Downloads section to easily access lessons that have been downloaded. The auto play feature is temperamental and some times just doesn’t work. The lessons I’ve completed often reset and look as if they haven’t been finished. And scrolling through the sections and lessons of large courses can become cumbersome when nothing is highlighted or marked correctly. Adding a Favorites feature and fixing up the completed lesson highlighting would help a lot with being able to organize the course structure..Version: 7.8.3

Unable to purchase courseOn Saturday morning all excited about New Years resolutions and eager to learn a skill I decided to purchase a Udemy course on python which had been recommended to me by an uncle. My grievance is not with the course itself, I’ve never even tried it. I paid for it on Saturday morning but when I checked the ‘ my courses tab’ it was unable to be found. I then tried to purchase it again and left the app open for a full hour in which it just said ‘processing’ even with a very stable WiFi connection. I then restarted the app and tried to purchase it again and started receiving ‘you have already purchased this in app purchase’ messages from the App Store. It is now Monday afternoon. Still the same messages, still no course..Version: 4.5.0

In app purchase problemsI love the service provided, would give a higher rating if I hadn't had ios in app purchase problems..Version: 3.3.8

Offline contentBeen trying to download content all night. There’s no progress bar to show you it’s actively downloading - and content isn’t downloading at all. Offline content is the only reason I wanted this app on my phone and all I can get is 177mb of content. No matter what I do it won’t download more and it’s got nothing to do with whether my phone has the space or not.Version: 4.7.0

Great service, average appUdemy has some great courses, but the app isn’t great. Firstly, when viewing downloaded videos it runs incredibly hot, and chews through the battery — although it’s fine when streaming. Second, Airplay is broken. You can cast to an Apple TV, but as soon as you close the app or lock your phone, the stream is lost. This means you have to keep tapping your phone screen every few minutes to make sure it doesn’t lock. This is all the more annoying as the Apple TV app is completely non-functional and there’s no Roku app..Version: 8.11.1

The browser experience is absolute trashI’m downloading this app because I’m basically forced to, given the quality of the experience watching courses on my desktop. I bought course for the first time on Udemy, and I was confused as to why the videos appeared to be in 480p/360p quality, despite me setting it to 1080p. I did some research and found a reddit post about a month old, with frequent comments on it up to today, with people experiencing the same issue. Udemy support has responded to the concerns of these people by saying that fixing this web playback issue is “not high priority” since they want to prioritize mobile app development. I cannot understand this logic. The whole point of my purchase was to watch tutorials at my desktop. When I cannot see the text clearly, it largely ruins the experience of having video tutorials in the first place. Even if Udemy fixes this issue, I don’t believe I can trust Udemy to provide me with a high quality experience in the future. When the main purpose of your service is to stream videos that educators want to provide to learners, actively ignoring a core issue with the browser streaming service is something that I completely do not understand..Version: 8.57.0

Utterly frustratingI hardly ever write reviews but honestly, they do need to get their act together so hoping my voice will add to the other ones and they do something about it. The app is unusable, everything people say below is true. You receive error messages about not enough memory constantly (that I have never received from any other app); Things take forever to load and keep freezing every so often making it nearly impossible to follow; If you decide to download the content and watch it offline to go round the freezing above, guess what? It won’t work either! The download that took forever to happen will be excluded if you are trying to watch it, I am not sure why. Honestly, I was quite enjoying the course, it is great content, but use their browser platform and not the app as you will be highly frustrated by it. Someone said in January that they were already fixing it 3 months prior, guess it now makes more than 6 months they said they would fix and nothing has been done yet. Very disappointed..Version: 4.8.3

Mostly goodFor the most part this app is great. The main issue I do have is the lack of control/information on downloaded or downloading content. Occasionally the video can be slow to start. EDIT: slow video streaming is still an issue. Even with fast fibre internet available I need to drop the video quality..Version: 4.5.0

App = Spinning Disk !The Website is great, the content is great, the App is useless! I thought the days of Spinning Disks were over. Download controls do not show status of download, just a spinning disk, FOREVER! Closed App - Restarted - ReInstalled (lost all downloads!) = Spinning Disk! SORT IT OUT GUYS.Version: 4.3.2

What a poor experience appUpdate—— After contacting support services I have decided to rate to 2 stars. The application seems to have more issues. It freezes when submitting course reviews. Downloading the course not working for me even at 360 dpi. It doesn’t download sequentially instead goes to download random sequence, no good if you are planning to watch offline. Tried to download independently, with no luck. —— I love your content, I think is great and there are a lot of courses to choose from. But your app is no good, playback is clumsy jumping from an article to a video makes the app to freeze. Download a course takes ages. I had a better experience in the past with the app. But this release at least is not good so far..Version: 3.4.7

APP DOESNT WORK ON APPLE TVSO disappointed. I purchased a course and was stoked to use it then didn’t work on my Apple TV.Version: 7.3.0

BugTheres a bug when I open the app, its just a white screen and nothing ever happens, Im on the latest ios with an Iphone 7. Pleaaseee fix it!!!.Version: 8.12.0

Great app with an expensive glitchI love this app. It will be 5 stars when they fix the issue I experienced: I downloaded many hours of lectures onto my phone to listen to while working. The app ended up streaming the lectures again which used a lot of data (4GB by the time I got the data alert). I tried listening to downloaded videos while on airplane mode and they will not play. Again, great app and great courses. The problem is just that I cannot listen to it while out of the house because it used up all of my data in a week when it should have used none..Version: 7.4.0

No iPad split screen multitaskingThis is a good app for watching course content. One major drawback is that the iPad split screen function doesn’t work with the Udemy app. For the iPad, being able to watch content while taking notes is a must-have feature..Version: 5.0.1

Crash cityYour app keeps crashing when I go to watch my courses, so it’s a pretty useless app. It just hangs, loading on a course. But happily loads all your sales....Version: 3.4.11

App does not workJust bought the first course and downloaded it hoping I will be able to do this on my commute to work but does not work 1. Looks like offline mode does not work unless you are online 🤦‍♂️ 2. Even online the videos doesn’t seem to want to work. For a product that predominantly deals with videos, its disappointing that it can’t play videos. Why go live if you cannot do the base task? It looks like I have no other option than to finish this course on my computer at home. Hopefully the course content is impressive..Version: 4.5.3

Genuine Question: Do you care about the user experience on the iPad?I ask the question “do you care about the user experience on the iPad” for two main reasons. The first is that the Udemy iPad app still doesn’t support any type of split screen. When taking a computer or human language class it can be invaluable to be able to have Notability (note taking) or Buffer/Swift Playgrounds (coding IDE) open right next to the video. Now I wouldn’t have as large of an issue with this if I didn’t travel for work so often. Then maybe I could use the online version through safari which does allow split screen. But alas I am constantly in an airplane and the WiFi can almost never handle streaming from a site like Udemy. Since the app allows offline downloads, it is my only option. The second reason for my question above is that we are now almost in the second month of 2019 and there still isn’t any full screen support for the new iPad Pro 11”. The screen is larger and allows for so much extra room in the Udemy app (making split screen even more desirable). I love Udemy and all of the courses that I purchased, but due to my work travel schedule I find the experience to always be less than desirable. That results in me simply not using the app. I would really like to see these two things change going forward. Thanks!.Version: 4.5.1

BuggyUdemy is a very great app to learn new things, but the app could definitely be better, because every time I open it, there is a different problem such as the app freezes. Stop using react native!.Version: 7.4.1

Great content. Horrible frustrating appI have been doing a course in Udemy that has about 200 parts to it. I like to stream this on my TV while I work on my computer following along. That is one of the best things about online learning. However as much as I am enjoying the course and learning from it, the frustration of this horrible app may make me quit Udemy and stop using it. You cannot Play the content on the Apple TV app, nor can you stream from the website, instead you have to use this app and stream from it. The problem is if you pause it will frequently just start playing three chapters ahead. The app often crashes or becomes unresponsive while it’s still playing on my TV. I’ve been streaming stuff to my TV for years and I haven’t had this kind of frustration in more than a decade. I plead to the developers watch some of the content on your own site and please make a decent app that can actually cast to a TV properly..Version: 8.20.0

GlitchesI’m really loving Udemy and the ability to study anywhere at anytime. My only complaint is that the app sometimes opens up lectures that I’ve already listened to and I have to try and find which one I’m supposed to be on by going to my computer and turning it on. Obviously this don’t work if I’m out and about. I’ve even had it switch from one lecture to another halfway through, which was really annoying as I couldn’t figure out what had happened..Version: 7.0.1

Pathetic video and offline experienceI’ve been with Udemy for a few years now. I’ve observed all their styling and design changes, put up with their buggy app for about a year and a half. For reasons beyond my comprehension, why they would let UI style changes be prioritised above a properly responsive video experience - for example the video controls: tap the screen for a year and the app might feel like showing you the controls. This bug has been there forever and a day. Offline capabilities are truly stupid. In download many of the courses I do, as at the times I can sit down and do them, I don’t always have internet. But even downloading all video content of a course, I’d still get insane amounts of loading time before the content starts playing. Hardware isn’t to blame, for even after getting a brand new iPad, I still had these issues. I’m at the verge of just giving Udemy up completely..Version: 4.6.2

Add section collapse functionThere is no reason that users who are progressing through the lectures have to scroll and scroll just to get to nearby lectures - auto-collapse completed sections, and let users collapse and un-collapse sections easily. Also, please allow the mobile app to play different lectures to the desktop (instead of syncing both) - the mobile's small screen, and being away from the laptop or desktop, means users may want to view less visual-heavy or exercise-driven lectures on mobile..Version: 5.9.2

Needs to remember where one left offIf I opened an ebook and it didn’t return me to the last page I was reading I’d probably find a new e-reader. Way too often I open this app, open a lesson and it returns me to an old lecture instead of the one I last learning from. This is unacceptable! While we’re on the subject, it would also be nice if the app organized lesson by most recently accessed or if it had a list of recently accessed lesson. I often open this app hoping to continue where I left off earlier in the day but first I have to pick the right course (from a set of many that I’ve purchased) and then I have to locate on my own which section and subject/lecture I was last studying. This is like having a teacher walk in a room and ask the students: Now Where Was I? Its unacceptable!!! I will give this app five stars if they fix it by adding the appropriate state information. Until then, only the courses may be rated that high because the app is too frustrating..Version: 4.1.3

V8.55 iOS app crashes all the time.App crashes with consistency..Version: 8.55.0

Content is great, interface is dodgy. If you choose carefully some of the courses are outstanding, but load times are painfully slow in comparison to web sites. Some sections just will not load for offline viewing and the help desk is unable to figure out why. There are some things (like archiving courses) that you can only do on the web page, and some courses do not get marked as complete on the app. I’m normally a positive reviewer, but the udemy team need to work on this app..Version: 3.4.7

Horrible app for iPad Pro wish I could give -5 starsHorrible.Version: 4.4.1

The App was good...The App was good, worked without issues, and deserved 5 Stars...until about a month or two ago. When I try to click on anything regarding the videos (resuming my current video, clicking on the courses to select a new video, closing the app to answer a phone call or text and then reopening it, etc.) there seems to be nothing but bugs, even though there have been several updates. The videos won’t load, regardless of what connection I’m using. If they do load, sometimes the screen is black while the audio is still playing. And when I go to my courses to pick a different video, all videos in the courses are listed several times. As in, each is listed three times before the next one is listed. And that repeats for the whole course. In some cases, the section names are also off. I’ll be working in the HTML section of the course for example, and it will say JavaScript, which is actually the next sections title. Please update the App so it works again, since like most people, I watch/listen to it when I’m commuting to work, on my lunch, and don’t have access to my computer..Version: 4.6.1

The most frustrating and disappointing app experience I’ve had in a while!Possibly the worst most disappointing experience I’ve had with a learning app. The Apple TV app is an instruction screen on how to use Airplay!? What on earth were you thinking? Aside from that the iPhone app is buggy and unstable and crashes frequently and fails to load content or buffer at times too. If I hadn’t just paid for a course I would have given up..Version: 7.10.1

Content is pretty good. App is a bad experience. If there is an option to turn auto play off on mobile, I can’t find it. Very annoying to open a course and have a random video immediately start playing. I transition between the app and desktop site and progress has a hard time syncing so, no, I don’t want to pick up where you think I left off. Honestly, I’d like to read the title of the lecture before jumping in or even may want to rewatch the last one to get my bearings. I’d like to choose which lecture I want to watch next as nearly all courses I watch have modules that can be watched out of order. This is basic UX. Clicking on a course should take me to a course. If I want to watch a vid, I’ll click on the vid or a play button. I don’t need you to unintuitively skip steps for me. There is no way to check your progress without auto playing a lecture. Have also had issues recently where the majority of my lectures did’t load over WiFi, and numbering was completely off. Couldn’t pick up where I left off. Auto played a random vid. Downloading vids and actually being able to watch them is hit or miss..Version: 5.2.2

WhitescreenGot whitescreen when opening the app. Please fix.Version: 8.13.0

Excellent content but very unstable appExcellent content! Unfortunately app crashes constantly halfway through videos..Version: 4.4.1

Apple TVIf you want to use the Apple TV app then forget about it. Impossible to sign in to your account. Even tried password reset to simple passwords, nothing. Fails to sign in each time. Can sign in on web, iPhone app, iPad app - cannot sign in on appleTV app. So only option is to cast from phone which means videos do not auto play to next one - have to keep opening phone when a video lecture completes. In short - quite a bad experience! Judging by the amount of 1 star reviews on the Apple TV app I guess I’m not the only one with issues. Perhaps the Apple TV app has been abandoned? If so then they should delete it from the store and not waste people’s time..Version: 7.1.1

Fantastic courses, terrible app, stupid pricingDoesn't support side by side splitscreen mode with other apps on ipad, is buggy, suffers from a clunky interface, managing downloaded content is a massive pain, and overall it's just a massive disappointment compared with what it could have been. I'd love to study udemy courses while out and about on my ipad but their app is such an incredible liability that I stick to books and keep my Udemy courses for viewing on my desktop at home where they behave marginally better. Their perpetual sale/nosale system reveals a severe lack of maturity on the part of executives who appear terrified of customers being able to just go to udemy and be able to buy a course at their convenience. Lost count of the number of times I would have found a course useful, but by the time it was on sale at a reasonable price again my need for it was gone because I had already picked up a book instead..Version: 5.9.3

TerribleAbsolutely idiotic update!! Can’t see my courses. Search doesn’t work. UI is completely terrible. It’s impossible to use this app. Every single time you changing UI/ UX experience of this app. Thats complete fail for any saas product. Disappointed.Version: 8.17.0

Be CarefulCharged me in a different currencies which almost doubled my purchase and no correction was made.Version: 8.27.0

Love Udemy but hate this appI have bought over two dozen courses with Udemy. The content and instructors are world class. BUT... trying to watch any of the video content on my iPad is PAINFUL. It takes forever to load - not just the videos but even the Purchased and Wishlist pages. When a video is done playing, (more often than not) the circular loading graphic just spins and spins trying to load the next video. I then have to close the app and clear it from my app history to get it to load again. I’ve found that it does help with playback if you download the entire course video content first - but that takes forever to download as well. I have NO issues with other apps that stream video over WiFi (Netflix/HBO) so I can’t blame my network strength or the iPad for this horrible playback. Watching online on my computer works great- but I’d prefer not being chained to my desk to watch these. Come on Udemy- fix this app please!!!.Version: 5.3.0

App with very annoying video playback issuesOn iPad I can’t return to previous lessons. Simply won’t load them and complains it has no access to content, but play the next unpaid lesson perfectly fine…so I can’t review and revisit previous lessons… y’know do actual structured learning.. The irony of the app I used to learn coding on that can’t even straighten itself out. Without this issue it is great, purely due to the content creators. Udemy itself appears to be nothing but yet another lazy exploitative body sitting on it’s distributive platform however..Version: 8.9.1

App shows a blank screenI have paid for 3 courses which are totally inaccessible because the app opens as a blank screen. The courses are also inaccessible through the web. The link takes me to a verification page and then instead of my courses it takes me to a sales page which is consistent with the interest area of courses I have purchased. There is no link to my actual purchases. I have emailed the support email but haven’t had an answer..Version: 8.13.0

VERY disappointed.Review will be changed when Udemy fix my problem. The main disappointed thing is how difficult it is to find in-app support or places to report problems within the app. I’m left with no choice but to complain here. Up until a few days ago things worked fine (for a few months), then I receive notification that a question has been answered and each time I navigate to the Q&A section of my course the app immediately/automatically closes before I can view anything. What’s that about eh?...so annoying. Works on my desk top, but I have the app on my phone so I can check in whilst on the move. Shall give a higher rating the sooner this glitch is responded to. Cheers 👍🏻.Version: 7.6.1

IOS SLOWI love the Udemy website and content - but the IOS app is just a pain - it loads content REALLY slow that I give up every single time to watch anything from mobile.Version: 4.0.2

The site has some really good content but the apps are terribleI use Udemy regularly and there is some very good content. However recently (5 Jun 2021) I am finding my ability to view the content significantly difficult. The apps are buggy, difficult to use and recently gobbling memory really terribly to the point where the apps are crashing regularly. Apps == iPhone and iPad. The Apple TV app isn’t even an app, why does this even exist? You can air play to the TV without it. Although that causes additional memory issues and is currently a super flakey experience. Very disappointing..Version: 7.10.1
