Good app but not greatDecent amount of content but struggles when it comes to keeping audio synced, and it’s 50/50 chance when I lock my phone and try to play audio. If a new Bluetooth device connects the app loses its mind and takes a phone restart to work properly again. Also it’s quite common it replays the last video if I exit the app even if I’ve completed it!.Version: 8.20.0

Offline videos crashes midway!The rating is purely for the app with all the great content. It doesn’t serve the purpose of Offline viewing with the downloaded content. Midway thro’ video crashes. Hope to see this issue gets fixed soon..Version: 4.9.2

App reviewUdemy for Business is good. The app for Udemy for Business is buggy. Videos (downloaded and streamed) frequently stop and can’t be resumed, regardless of buffering speed. This makes it almost unusable. The rest of the app is user friendly enough, but I have been trying to watch one lecture for months and it keeps stopping so I come back to it a week later etc. etc....Version: 4.2.2

Constantly asks for authenticationAlmost every time I try to use the app it asks me to sign in. The single sign on experience is awful. App supposedly fails to sign in and when trying to sign in again it somehow works without credentials. App is incredibly slow when loading anything, including videos, resources and quizzes. This makes it incredibly hard to maintain focus while a significant amount of time is spent looking at a blank screen or loading screen, which makes this a poor learning tool..Version: 8.30.0

AirPlay not workingAirPlay is not working from the iPad. It just spins. If I try screen mirroring instead and play the video from there, I can hear the audio, but the video only says it's playing on AirPlay, which isn't correct because the video isn't playing (it only displays the course's title image). If this isn't supported, at least show an error message rather than have it spin indefinitely. To compare, the regular Udemy app (non-Business) is working fine on AirPlay..Version: 8.18.0

ObnoxiousLots of problems with this app, but for me the worst is a modal dialog asking to enable notifications. It’s non-standard, has a guilt-tripping and very misleading title (“Continue your learning journey”), and the only options are “Maybe Later” and “Yes”. Pretty bad. Video stops and will not restartWhenever I pause the video, the screen goes blank after a few seconds… and then the video cannot be resumed without going back to the course index. I’ve given up with the app, and instead access Udemy’s website through Safari which works much better. Another reason to use Safari and not the Udemy app: the app doesn’t support multitasking, so I can’t easily take notes while watching the course. TerribleI use this app because my work provides it and there are some useful courses on it. But the app itself is terrible. It freezes regularly, the buttons randomly stop working, the UX is poor. I’ve just had to reinstall it because in the middle of my course the buttons stopped working and the app crashed, and when I restarted it only loaded the first 30 of the 250 videos in my course so I am unable to continue from where it crashed (video 160).Version: 5.1.0

Sloppy UI/UXOne of my biggest issue is that when we go to full screen it's really hard to go back to normal. Because the area is little to capture the click in the bottom right corner and screen UI just blinks away. Downloading and deleting courses is little buggy. Can't download courses in the background. I love Udemy, App is lackingI love Udemy and use it often. But the app is seriously lacking in advancement. I mostly use and iPad Pro, and Udemy should AT LEAST offer split screen view so I can take notes on GoodNotes app and watch course content at the same time. They do allow you to pop out the video, but you have to open the app and launch the next video and re-pop out the video player for every course lesson. Very cumbersome and annoying to do this. IOS lesson transitionWhile the content is great, the interface is very disappointing. When selecting a course on iPad the initial video will play without any interaction. When the video lesson is over and transitioning to the next lesson, it hangs with a loading icon for several minutes and might eventually play after several minutes, but not guaranteed. The only way to quickly advance from one lesson to the next is immediately after the current lesson is over, you must close out of Udemy, closing the app from background apps, relaunch Udemy, and the video starts immediately. This happens on both wi-fi and cellular, using an iPad Pro, running iOS 14.3. The issue remains the same if Udemy is among several apps running in the background, or after closing all apps, doing a soft reset and loading only Udemy. I have also removed Udemy and selected all the content, then re-downloaded Udemy And the symptoms are identical. I want the video lessons to smoothly transition from one lesson to the next without having to fiddle with my iPad between each lesson..Version: 5.4.0

Apple TV app?Good courses and app but why no Apple TV app like your consumer app? Would be ideal for those of us that work all day and want to learn at night. Extremely unstableLectures have randomly issues loading and sometimes pause for a few seconds, even if downloaded offline. Sometimes a lecture just doesn't load at all, I have to skip it and return to it later. Other apps play online content fine on my phone. Downloads do not go in order of lectures, so I always watch beginning of a course online, while there are some videos downloaded in the middle or end of the course already. Sometimes a notification says download finished, but most of the course is still missing and seems to be selected for download, even if nothing is downloading at the moment. It takes so much time to download something offline, even if a speed test shows tens of Mbps wifi speed. Downloaded content sometimes just disappears, so I stopped using downloading offline completely, as it's unusable. The app sometimes shows nothing in My courses or says No internet connection, even if wifi is connected. I have to kill the app and start it again. Udemy (not for Business) seems to work better, this app really needs a full code review ASAP!.Version: 4.2.1

Doesn’t work with the Walmart accountAt login, it takes me to my company’s single sign on (SSO) website through Safari. After logging in, the app remains in Safari, allowing me to browse my courses. If I were to click “Done” in the browser, it takes me back to the page “Enter the name of your organization’s account” which forces me to log in again through my company’s SSO page. GarbageHow can this company be 10 years producing this platform and their iPad app is still garbage? Offline great, but buggyI greatly appreciate having an offline mode so I can consume content in the subway. It's a lot easier to manage that in-app on iOS than downloading videos and putting them into iTunes and deleting them later. But I wish it worked better than it does. Experiencing problems with the appFirst, I want to tell that I am using both Udemy and Udemy for business and I have some problems with both. But the problem I have with using Udemy for business is that I cannot adjust the quality of the video to 1080 and it is held automatically by the app not even showing the value. I watch videos with lots of coding and even with my iPad I cannot see anything what is written on the screen because of the low resolution of video. Another problem that I have with this app is that once I enrolled in the course I automatically the same minute received notification into my email with congratulations for completing the course and was issued the certificate. I even did not start the course which is weird. All this makes me sad while trying to get my work done..Version: 6.4.0

Decent content, very poor appI love the content on Udemy, but it’s just frustrating that these contents must be served by such a poorly made app. Every time I minimise the player (by swiping down) to keep it playing and come back, the video will be paused! It’s very disruptive. The only way to play these video on Apple TV is actually only playing them on this app through AirPlay, and there is actually a Udemy TV app with just one single page asking you to download the phone app! But the AirPlay feature is just another mess. All the AirPlay videos on other apps have been fine to me, but only on Udemy, those videos which could be loaded on my iPhone won’t load on my Apple TV randomly. It fails 5 times out of 10. There are even more design failures, such subtitles staying on the phone while the video is being played on the TV. It’s so sad that those instructors on Udemy devoted so much effort to make fantastic content, but their audience has to be stuck in this badly made app. They deserves a better platform, and we do as well.Version: 8.29.1

Just opens Safari, not a real appDon’t understand why it’s on App Store. It just opens the udemy page and if you accidentally click on Done, it closes the browser and you have to sign in again. No any real app features like downloading for offline viewing, landscape mode (not even for videos), it’s actually more convenient to use Safari.Version: 4.8.1
