Textastic Pros

✓ Does not break your Default App Extension settings (Updated)As others have noted, Textastic appears to override your macOS default app settings for some files, i.e., GetInfo and Always Open With options don’t seem to work. On macOS this occurs when the file is stored in the Textastic iCloud folder and is a macOS/iCloud instituted behavior, not something done by Textastic. Since this is not a Textastic issue and the app is otherwise excellent - no reason not to give this app five stars. ✓ Excellent replacement for textmateI tried to install the open source textmate 2 on mountain lion and failed miserably so i gave Textastic a try and i defintely in love so far. If i could recommend a feature request it would be too add tabs and some type of container / drawer to open files without leaving the app. Great job keep it up..GreenzegoVersion: 1.0

Textastic Cons

✗ Meh..It nice to be abale to write in 80 differint coding langues but you can only compile(Run) like four of them . I would wait to get thise if you want to compile more than four codeing langues ..JerrbobVersion: 3.3

✗ Needs an Update14 months since the last update and no signs of any of the promised features, still way behind the ipad version, works ok but if you need more from an app look elsewhere. Pity cos it looks good, or should I say looked good ....DiarbyragVersion: 3.1
