✓ A great start, one major gripeVery well presented, very responsive. Even when sat in close proximity to my DAW it's easier to automate channel fades using my iPhone rather than my mouse! My main problem (and the reason it only get 3 stars for now) is: No snap to beat/bar making it pretty much impossible to record entirely from the app. I'd hoped to be able to write from behind my drumkit. Not yet, it seems! Fix this and it'll be a 5 star app!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Desperately needs updatingThis app is an indispensable part of my home recording setup as someone with no budget for a hardware DAW controller. That said, I’m disappointed that this app has been neglected for so long. Only utilizing roughly 80% of the available display real estate on the flagship iPhones (to say nothing of “Max” size phones) is unacceptable for an app of such great utility in 2020. I hope that the developers have something in the works for this app. If it were brought fully into the present like Cubasis 3, I would gladly pay another one-time fee or even a yearly subscription to use an updated version of this app..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Always been a good app if u run cubaseBut im very disappointed to PAY for an app i used for free for years because the only way you can use it is if you already bought a copy of cubase. As a 9.5 pro user and using cubase since v3, im feeling quite betrayed. This should be included with your cu license. ✓ IP address entry impossibleI’m on iPhone and the app does not automatically see my DAW, so I have to enter my IP address manually for my DAW. Only thing is that after I place the cursor and type the first number for the IP address the interface goes away. I read one other review from one year ago about this issue and apparently the developers have not addressed this absolute roadblock of an issue! I’ve been a Cubase client for ages since the 1990’s and I am stunned that they would let a problem like this exist with their phone app. Being that I can’t use it at all, I give it 1 star. If there was a lower score I’d go there!! 🤬👎.Version: 1.2.2

✓ Don’t bother if you want to customise anything!I’ve used this for a while and it’s helpful, but to really make it your own, you’ll want to customise the buttons. To do this, you need to search for the functions you want each button to do, except as soon as you attempt to type into the search area, the app crashes - every time! I understand Steinberg are aware of this, but don’t appear to care, sadly. I’m personally looking to move to Metagrid Pro as an alternative..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Update this!So this works pretty well with Cubase 11 Pro. Just a pity that some features have been left to rot since its release it seems. Tempo not matched with project. Full screen faders, which were discussed by support on the forum over 8 years ago - still not there. ✓ This is terrible.Steinberg asks to leave a review to support the app… sure bloody… Shocking integration steinberg. I cannot even find the polite words that reflects my honest opinion of your effect here. Apple won’t allow me to speak out as I need to. The mix pages is soooo jerky so for get trying to record automation… the app in general is clunky. Have your developers ever sat down and played with avids eucon? It’s night and day between these two apps, the smoothness to eucon within Cubase is awesome so how if eucon can achieve such perfection steinberg cannot? Open this app on the iPad and it loads cockeyed with panels hidden by other panels with an option to enter IP address. Start to type in address; crash. ✓ Basic yet usefulI have now spent a few months with this app and while at first it seemed too basic (I expected it to look and behave exactly like Cubase), now I see it as an additional controller to a mouse & keyboard, and for that purpose it is great. Also very useful for me when tracking drums. My whole band is on iPhones, and each can control their own cue sends via this app too. It still isn’t perfect, could use an update, and costs too much I think, but I’m honestly using IC Pro more often than the much better-featured and much cheaper (free) Avid control app..Version: 1.2.2

✓ PainfulI just bought this app and i cant do the simple things that I need to do. I use Cubase 10.5 Pro on a 2017 Macbook Pro with an i7 quad and an iphone 11 I need to trigger Arranger Events ( and that works nicely) however, as i try to rename an event, the keyboard becomes unusable. if i type a,s,or d, i'll only get the letter f for each. if i type q,w, or e, i'll only get the letter t for each Its killing me. ✓ Abysmal integration and delayed implementationsSince forever ( decades) using Cubase/ Cubasis. With their controllers/ interfaces. Absolutely every time on any system- and annoyingly on OsX and iOS they recommend to not update the OS ( iOS, macOSX , etc). Because they do not develop, in advance the integration as any respectable developer. Even small ones. ✓ Completely uselessImpossible to enter an IP address. The keyboard types random characters when using the enter key or hide keyboard key. ✓ Not workingI purchased this app approx 1 month ago and installed the SKI software in Cubase 8. Al a bit clunky however it did work. After 1 month of use cubase at boot up is telling me that the ic pro licence is out of date and it freezes and goes no further. The only thing I could do was to uninstall the SKI app and go back to no wifi control which renders the app useless. Will not let me go back to an earlier version of SKI. The forums at Steinberg pages of people with exactly the same problem however nothing from Steinberg to acknowledge or fix the issue. Bottom line is I paid for an app which does not work with the latest version of cubase. I teach music & technology so remote is critical, I moved from sonar to Cubase in April, now back to Sonar.Version: 1.2
✓ Get Avid Control InsteadCubase iC Pro is very barebones and definitely not worth the money. Avid Control is a far more feature comprehensive app and it is free. I have requested a refund for Cubase iC Pro and will be using Avid Control moving forward. Pros: - Setup is quite simple - The project navigation control from the app is very good. It allows you to navigate through the project and set bookmarks easily. This really really fantastic - but not enough to justify purchasing in my opinion. Note that Avid Control does not have this which is unfortunate. Cons: - The “shortcuts” are all mapped ok but they are not logically presented as with Avid Control. They seem as if they are an after thought. - You cannot click on the instrument in the mixer to select that instrument and there is no way to select an instrument other than scrolling with the up, down, left and right button shortcuts. Avid Control allows you to select the instrument using the mixer AND even has its own dedicated page for instrument selection. - The application hangs sometimes when selecting certain settings in the settings menu..Version: 1.2.2

✓ Feature liteI had expected much more from this app. Should have researched before purchasing, might have spend $32 more and went with V-Control. I might still do that. As of 2/1/13, there are really only three useful features. 1) remote control of buttons to fast path (keyboard shortcuts) to the feature within the host Cubase (in other words use IC PRO to click Open File, now go to host to choose the file) 2) cue mix access 3) basic channel strip controls (M, S, fader, pan, etc.), track marker control (goto and add only), and transport controls (play, rec, L, R, etc.). Among the numerous shortfalls, absence of means to return to previous start (double stop in host), track display does not show tracks within folders, EQ, Inserts, track edits, etc etc etc. They have Cubasis interface with it all, so what's the trouble...probably none, more like incremental (€/$) delivery. ✓ A dissappointmentI have been a loyal Steinberg customer since 1999. I use Cubase, Halion, and Wavelab. Steinberg has always produced well thought out and well executed products, and their ongoing support of products has always been strong. A controller for an iPad seemed like the perfect solution to the related issues of a multi-room home studio. Naturally I assumed Cubase IC Pro would be my best choice. I could not believe it when I discovered that there is no accurate input metering in this app. Sure, the meters move up and down, and indicate that a signal is present, but you could be clipping the signal and never know it with this app. Without accurate input metering, in my opinion this is almost an useless app..Version: 1.1

✓ Very buggy and inconsistantIt works great when it works great. Why the heck don't they add freeze track to one of these buttons or key commands in Cubase 7.5? Anyway, I have had moderate success with this app. Now, for some reason, no responsiveness at all on the mixer page. I have the latest version of Cubase and the ski remote service. I've also reinstalled Cubase IC Pro on iPhone 5s and done a hard restart. Jeez, get it together. $17 for the app and $500 for Cubase. ✓ Good App Needs UpdatesFrom a post production side of the things the custom softkeys is great, but other than that the app is getting outdated. The last update was over two years ago, and it’s been so quiet that I feel like support for this app is abandoned. An update where you can auto-bank select track so it goes to the fader on the app would be great, and added panning controls would be great too. ✓ DisappointingHaving used the free Behringer software I was expecting something really good. I was very disappointed and the software is not worth the cost as it is very limited function. In fact I would go so far as to say that it’s extremely poor for this cost. Can’t edit the eq curves or even simply pan the mix channels. There is no soft touch control function for parameters.
