✓ Manque important point de vue pratiqueIl serait impératif de pouvoir enregistrer certains appels téléphoniques. Après avoir vécu dans une relation toxique et dangereuse pour ma santé, je vis du harcèlement et même après avoir mentionné que les appels étaient enregistrés, croyant que cet application pouvait me sauver, je continue de recevoir sans cesse des attaques, harcèlement et acharnement. Je dois cumuler les preuves car je vis un cauchemar, j’avais confiance en cet application jusqu’au moment où je recherchais les enregistrements audio des appels que je ne trouvais aucunement, l’enregistreur fonctionne jusqu’au moment de décrocher l’appareil. ✓ No different from the default mic app on IOSIt doesn’t hold your place. Sometimes it just randomly skips back to the beginning - v frustrating! Especially when it turns to the lock screen, you re-open your phone and it will skip back. 15 second back or forth would be a useful function... Expandable timeline for longer clips would also be useful... Point markers for longer clips anyone - yes please! Larger timeline so it’s easier to click on etc etc... Not difficult to implement I’m sure, but not available..Version: 1.7.1

✓ Arbitrarily stops recordingI’ve used this for years and it’d been 5 stars until recently. Unfortunately in the last week or so it’s began to routinely stop recording out of nowhere when I haven’t wanted it to. It’s reached the point where I’m unable to use it. If they fix this bug it’s 5 stars. Until then it completely fails for its purpose..Version: 1.7.1

✓ Pretty Good AppReally good for recording long lectures, great for personal use with headphones. Would be even better if you could send them via e-mail without it taking 52 separate emails because the file is ‘too big’, and if it didn’t sometimes randomly stop recording 1 minute in to a 50 minute lecture with no warning. Would still recommend if you don’t mind checking your phone every 5 minutes to see if its still recording.Version: 1.7.1

Unfortunately enabling the headset causes feedback because it doesn’t seem to turn off the phones speaker. ✓ “Free” app is unusable nonsenseTried dictaphone. Figured I’d upgrade it as required. Made a thirty minute dictation. When I went to listen to it, I realIzed there isn’t even a pause button or scroll control. All you can do is play or stop-and-fully-rewind. Give me a break, their free version isn’t even skeletal, it’s emaciated. Basically you’ve taken my dictation and held it hostage unless I pay you a 1.99 so I can download it to something useful. ✓ Rewind/overwrite/edit functionality is fiddly and poorly implementedI paid for this full version of the app having tried the free version The main thing I was after was after was the ability to edit recordings, either on the go or later, so that I can dictate and re-compose as I go Unfortunately this app really isn't that good for this purpose, which I feel should be core functionality in a dictaphone. It can do these things - it even supports both overwriting and inserting - but to do so is fidily, time consuming and requires a lot of concentration - not intuitive at all and after several weeks of use it hasn't got much easier. It absolutely always ruins the flow of dictation and composition for me, and is a million miles from the ease with which this can be done on an old fashioned dictaphone. It's a shame as the app is generally well produced with lots of other good features. If you only ever need to record and rarely go back on yourself or need to make any changes then you'll be fine. But for those wanting a replacment for a tradional dictaphone in their smartphone I can't recommend you spend your money on this app in the current form. ✓ So soI've reviewed this because it's starting nagging me after every recording.I realise they rely on reviews so fair enough. Unfortunately is rate it much less highly than I would have a couple of days ago . When it works it is superb and plenty of ways to share files but recently it's become more hit and miss and occasionally I press the record button and it looks like it's recording my bringing up the mic icon but then doesn't. It has also crashed a few times and I had to uninstall and reinstall because it started recording at wrong speed. So basically, interface and functionality brilliant but reliability, not so much..Version: 1.6
✓ Insufficient ControlsThis particular app drove me mad. I recorded something important and wanted to transcribe some of the information. But I could not stop and start the recording as I went along. Don’t rely on it working effectively as it doesn’t. Despite my asking support for help which has gone unanswered I found that not one but twice I have pressed the record button to tape committee meetings it hasn’t recorded the conversation. It happened again today!! I made sure several times that it was recording and it appeared it was. It is only after the meeting was finished and I went to press the stop button did I realize it hadn’t actually recorded a whole hours worth of a meeting. Be wary. Be very very wary..Version: 1.7

✓ AnnoyingThis dictaphone is ok in terms of sound quality but is really annoying in that I can’t just scroll back a few seconds while listening to a recording. They should at least have -15 seconds playback. I end up popping back minutes behind, it’s especially bad on the small iPhone that I use, and I have to rehear the annoying voice a professor I interviewed, over and over. ✓ A bit buggyThe recording part was smooth, quality of the sound is great. But when you are trying to listen, bugs appear and experience becomes unbearable. It’s really hard to find a spot in the recording that you need, tapping on the audio progress bar is challenging, fast-forward and back buttons don’t work. Here’s another bug: when phone goes to screen saver and after a while you pause it from the locked screen, if you go back and unlock it, and then unpause it in the app - the recording will start not from the place you paused it last, but from some other much earlier time. I wrote it in hopes that someone will fix it, please do!.Version: 1.6

✓ Dictaphone does the job.Found this dictaphone picks up every background sound. Generally the play back quality is very good and clear. Have found on playback the app drops out a number of times. When you go back into the app the recording does not start where it dropped out. It starts from the beginning again which is frustrating when trying to finalise minutes and the recording runs up to 60 minutes. Fast forwarding the playback doesn’t always work. The app drops out and I am having to go back to the start of the recording again. I was hoping dictaphone would save me time with minutes but it’s taken a lot longer due to the drop outs..Version: 1.7.2
